AVOID this hospital and don’t ever go to their Emergency Room!!! I visited Lee Memorial Hospital on 12/28/22 and all went well until I was brought into a curtain-divided room and nasty Dr. Anthony R. Pine appeared. He didn’t know me, had not done any tests and instantly began treating me like I was a horrible person for coming there. He lectured me while I laid there in pain, belittled me for coming there and said “ Emergency Rooms are for emergencies.” So apparently, my severe rib pain, left chest pain, burning, the odd painful movement in my upper rib cage and the fact that I couldn’t get a pulmonary doctor to see me for weeks, as a new patient, wasn’t significant enough to go to the E.R. Room, according to Dr. Anthony R. Pine. He took a chest X-ray and discharged me without doing any other tests!!! I believe he wrongfully discharged me because I asked the X-ray technician for his name and complained about his cruel and condescending behavior while being wheeled to the X-ray room. When I was returned to my room, Dr. Pine came in and threw a prescription for ibuprofen at me. I argued with him about not doing any more tests and insisted something is wrong. He didn’t care, told me to go to a primary care doctor and recommended one!!! I live in another county where the doctors are lousy or too busy to see you for months. Dr. Pine left my room and I asked a staff person for the Director of the Hospital. A woman appeared who was the Lead Nurse and refused to get the Director. We argued over the discharge and no further testing and I told her that he’s not getting away with his abusive treatment. She defended him so I got up and said I will be going to another hospital and filing a complaint. She then followed me outside with her 2 goofy-looking kid security guards. I continued to complain about the nasty doctor and she condescending hollered “You look real sick” and waved her hand and shouted “Bye.” I’m a 63-year-old professional and successful women and will be filing a lawsuit for this cruel and unusual behavior as well as failure to properly treat me!!! APPARENTLY, YOU’RE NOT WELCOME AT LEE MEMORIAL E.R. UNLESS YOUR ARM WAS SEVERED, BODY CRUSHED IN A CAR, CAN BARELY WALK, ARE VOMITING OR BLEEDING PROFUSELY, ETC.!!! It appears that they’ve been rejecting and/or abusing patients for a long time based on their almost empty Waiting Room. I surprisingly waited at Lee Memorial Hospital E.R. for only about 10 minutes. I called another hospital and they had a 3-hour wait yet were positive about taking any patients in their E.R. for any reason.

My daughter worked for Lee Health 4 years ago and loved it. She like they way they ran things. Fast forward 4 years and you can definitely see things have changed. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. As of Feb 1 there labs no longer take Florida blue? But there Doctors and Hospitals do? And they haven’t updated this info. on the computer for their doctors. I was asked by my doctor to drop off a stool sample and have been waiting for 1 1/2 hours so far. I don’t get it… the paper work has all my info on it. This is a poor system for those just needing to drop off. Come on Lee Health you can do better. Also, the ladies on the lab are rude and not very clear on what’s expected. I’m younger but feel really sorry for the elderly people having to deal with them. My experience was with the Coconut Point location.

Had an awful experience with a case manager, Terri. She was very difficult to work with. She stated she was NOT familiar with Florida laws and was overwhelmed and understaffed all while making life and death decisions for our family member. There was a phone call she needed to make and would rather argue how busy she was than make the calls needed while family was there to make end of life decisions. As well as Kim with Hospice admissions that was annoyed that I asked for my family members list of qualifying ailments that deemed her appropriate for Hospice. She proceeded to rattle them off as fast as she could and rush me off the phone without any additional information. They transported our family member to hospice without a call to notify the family. The nurse felt bad and called to let us know as she was witness to the treatment we received from the case manager and Hospice admissions person. Overall horrible experience. Would not recommend.

Best experience I've ever encountered in a hospital. From the minute we walked in till transportation to a urinary surgical hospital in Cape Coral this place was EXCEPTIONAL. Nurse Andrea and ALL the staff went above and beyond for my husband Dean who had multiple STUCK kidney stones. Waiting on removal still but treatment here and Cape Coral has been incredible!! DON'T go to Gulf Coast Hospital!!!

Went with chest pain and severe dizziness in January, the nurse said “People get chest pain” and “do you have anxiety?” Then I started crying. She mocked me when I said a medicine the my gave me through the IV caused a scary burning sensation in my chest. I walked out, and I will never set foot in this hospital if I can help it. It’s months later and My symptoms are worsening, but now I feel I won’t be taken seriously due to my treatment at this hospital. I felt I was treated like my life didn’t matter, because I was uninsured at the time. Now that I’m insured I am still struggling to find the care I desperately need. This hospital has contributed to the degeneration of my quality of life, beware.

As someone's who's witnessed healthcare change throughout the years, I was shocked to see the injustices many patients now receive. If you fail to possess TOP rated insurance here, be prepared to be treated as if you're on government assistance. Your inpatient stay will be shared in a room of several others. The only means of privacy is a curtain that conveniently blows in the wind every time someone walks past. As if sleeping in a hospital room isn't bad enough, now you get to enjoy the snoring and farting of your new roommates. As a perk, you're provided a SMALL tv... yet in order to watch it, the curtain has to be open. So it's either limited privacy & boredom... or no privacy and TV that reminds me of when I was young, listening to the crackle of AM radio. Luckily, the nurses seem to do their best here. I know they haven't much say in the patients' options... yet many did seemingly try to help in any way. Doctors are scarce. Lab results and prognosis come to you (it seems) by way of snail mail. Visitors' hours are convenient... yet convincing your visitor to stay with your new roommates is... well, let's say awkward. A kind gesture will go a long way... and I hope whoever stays here is granted the courtesy of being treated like equals. It seems the Ole saying "the noisy bird gets the worm" tends to work best in situations such as these. God bless any and all who've experienced similar things.

Extremely slow, was there from 8am to 2pm, you will sit there in pain for a longggggg time. Sacrifice the drive time and make the commute to a better hospital. Don’t even waste your time with this one. It’s also pretty dirty, very outdated and just generally unpleasant. I don’t think anyone feels much better when they leave this place. :-( they also gave me like 6 different medicines via IV whereas my regular hospital (out of state) treats me with one. They don’t listen to their patients and it’s just awful honestly lol avoid this place like the plague cuz you’ll probably get it there

Funny how movies show people wanting out of the hospital. After my spinal surgery, they wanted me out before I was even fully awake. I'm disgusted by the lack of care and compassion at Lee memorial. I know I'm not the only one. The director Scarlatti wouldn't even return my call. Lee memorial, is it possible for you to treat everyone with the same care? If we all are equal, why do you care more for the rich and powerful. Lee executives . Let's publicize your financial income and see how people feel.

I don't doubt that some people had a good experience with this facility. How lucky. My family member came there and was not given the same care. When a family member tells you that this is not the normal condition for a patient, they are the expert. No one listened to the family or maybe no one cared. When somebody loses there ability to use their right arm and leg that is usually a sign of stroke. Their solution to her condition was to shove her into a skilled nursing facility and not address her acute change in mental status, vision and mobility. It took the hospital 10 days to consult a neurologist for my family member and be diagnosed with an acute stroke. Either you have incompetent physicians or they just don't care. No matter what it is- that person should not be treating patients. A nurse should never say, "I am not the advocate, my job is to discharge patients"- that nurse needs to go back to school. It took a complaint to Medicare to receive the care that is that should have been given the moment a patient walked into the door. A great disparity in care and a violation of the Patient Rights.

I am very disappointed with this hospital. My boyfriend and I are from out of state but visiting a friend here in Fort Myers and unfortunately got into a accident and had to come to The nearest hospital. I was discharged the same night but my boyfriend stayed over night and whenever checking himself out he couldn’t find his belongings which were a gold chain his grandmother gave him before passing away and a vintage Kobe Bryant jersey, and not one nurse could give us a explanation on who took it. I am so shocked that one of the employees there had the audacity to steal from someone that was there in pain. And it couldn’t have just been any person walking around because no one was allowed into his room besides the doctor and nurses working on him. I wasn’t even able to know any information about him until a day later so I’m just very disappointed in the staff there and this hospital.

If I could give zero stars I would. My 90 year old Mom spent time in the ER after falling in her assisted living facility and sustained a traumatic brain injury. The injury was severe and nothing could be done except keep her comfortable until she passed. The plan was to transfer her to Hope Hospice later that evening. When I arrived at the hospice facility I found out that she had passed away at Lee Memorial an hour ago. NO ONE at the hospital ever called to tell me she had passed away. Unreal!!! When I called the hospital next day to find out why I was never notified, the ER nurse manager basically said it was a change of shift miscommunication. Seriously??? Totally unacceptable. DO NOT GO TO LEE MEMORIAL.

The nursing staff at downtown LEE on 4N was Ok depending which Nurse and CNA were assigned to you. it was the luck of the draw at best. The case management and social work staff would get a -1000 stars if possible. Never have I experienced such heartless, cruel and uncaring beings in my life. Zero compassion, zero integrity, zero competency. I hope no one ever has to go through what they put me through and they did it without blinking an eye. Horrible treatment from people that are supposed to be caring people caring for people. WHAT A JOKE!

I'm sorry to see so many negative reviews for this facility since my experience was completely positive. I spent two days at Lee for a cervical disc replacement surgery. I was initially concerned coming into my experience due to so many negative reviews but my concerns were dispelled almost immediately. The ladies at check in were professional and prompt with the process. I was in the surgery section within an hour of arriving which is actually pretty quick. All of the surgical staff were professional and comforting. It's kind of a scary place to be but my wife and I were put to ease as best was able. Surgery went smoothly and I was moved to a nice clean room waking up to find my wife next to me and very nice nurses to ensure that I was safe and comfortable. The hospital is older but it is kept very clean and the equipment is up to date. I was so pleased in the way the nurses of all shifts took care of me with kindness and compassion. Whitney, Vieanna, Leah, Daisy, and Melinda were spectacular and are credits to their professions! I was released a little over 36 hours after my surgery and the exit process went smooth with much information to help me with my recovery given to take home with me. Thank you to everyone at Lee who helped make a pretty scary situation as pleasant and positive as possible!

Brought my mother to complex car for an iron infusion. Came about 15 minutes early because I'm never late. Once her appointment was over 30 minutes late went and asked very nicely about the wait had to deal with a receptionist who had a bad attitude. While waiting a patient was 30 minutes late and told they had to reschedule. Okay you can make people wait hours but cancel someone's appointment that they would still be sitting if they showed up on time. Her appointment was delayed almost a week because her doctor faxed the paperwork over to them more than 5 times over several days and they could not find the fax. Back to the appointment, was told that they were over an hour behind more than 4 hours ago. If your behind over an hour dont you think they can call and let youknow. No that would be to much to ask, just let someone who suffers from blood clots in her legs to sit in agony waiting. The receptions people are to busy laughing and screwing around to help anyone. By looking at other reviews this place is riddled to unprofessional people with attitudes and no desire to help patients. The place needs to to be looked into for all its fake numbers on how good it is because my experiences and many others dispute that. Fix your problems or get out of the health care business. All you care about is billing. Patients care should come first.

Looks like Kate the house supervisor is about the the law that just past July 1, 2023 CS/SB 1718 — Immigration. I didn’t know Lee Memorial Hospital hired bigots. On 8/13/2023 @ 12:15am is an entitlement joke. Her favorite quote is I understand your feelings and frustrations. Call her, I’m sure she’ll say the same thing. It’s not concern with patient care, nor takes responsibilities for her employees (Isabella on the sixth floor RN). When it comes to government funding or financial help they very quickly to turn a blind eye to minorities. Their constant response is “I just got on shift and don’t know what’s going on”. I highly do not recommend this hospital. Please go to physicians region or North Collier. Where the doctors and nurses are more knowledgeable. And for those you who are self-pay and do not have insurance. You are protected by the emtala law in the ER, they cannot refuse you for having Medicaid or being self pay. They have to treat you if they don’t you can sue them

This is an excellent hospital. I have had several surgeries here over the past 20 years. I had a wonderful experience every time and a terrific outcome for every surgery. The surgery staff is fantastic, kind and caring. My surgeons were amazing. This hospital houses the trauma center, and those doctors and nurses do an amazing job! I hope you never need to see them in action. The photos were taken in the front parking area. There is a gorgeous banyan tree.

My mom had surgery at this hospital, and I cannot say anything except great things. All of the nurses and CNAs in the West Tower are accommodating, friendly and attentive. The hospital itself is beautiful and very clean. Needing to be in a hospital is often anxiety producing, so being in this hospital is a breath of fresh air for all of us amidst the worries of her surgery and recovery. This hospital will give you or your loved ones the level of care and treatment you’re hoping for.

I have been in many Hospitals around the world. My recent visit to Lee Memorial Hospital has revived my faith in experiencing a seamless visit. I am usually one that finds something wrong everywhere, but this Hospital has it down pat! Congratulations, and, please keep it up! From the reception desk to the waiting rooms to the pre surgery rooms to the surgery facilities and the aftercare, all was just perfect! I hope not to have to see the inside of a Hospital again soon.... but, if I have to go to one, it will Be Lee Memorial Hospital on Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL

Hit or miss with Lee Health. Have had surgeries that have went well. But have a dear friend In a vegetable state due to negligence of staff. Never know how staff on duty will treat you, most lack bedside manner. Of all hospitals within Lee Health, this is the dirtiest of the bunch. Wish I could give it a better rating but, this isn't Health Park.

i brought my wife into this hospital because of low blood pressure. they immediately tested her for covid and used the rapid test that always gives a positive result even though the person does not have the virus which i had 2 other doctors say it is a lousy test from another hospital. i asked about a second this time the right test. i was very uneasy about her being in there due to problems when she was in gulf coast hospital they treated her very poorly now she is getting same treatment. i gave specific instructions on her health and how to properly help her. and that i wanted a daily conference with the doctors. i had to fight tooth and nail to find out information on her health, doctors refuse to call, they are misdiagnosing her because they have no idea about her previous health from another hospital in different county that treated her and myself like gold no issues what so ever, why is it that in order to get treated right by doctors, nurses and other staff members you have to go to another hospital out of LEE County. stay away from this hospital

I have been in the ER for almost 4 hours. My mom is 87, in severe back pain. I have seen a nurse three times, twice I had to ask for her and she gave me attitude about being busy. Really? Why do you think I am here? No one is here to take care of my mother except me. This place is awful. Go anywhere else.

This place is terrible. My 84 year old father has covid 19 and they have continued to send him back home despite his being dehydrated and in pain. Even his last discharge papers said "Covid related pneumonia" and they sent him home with no medication. His wife, who could not go in with him because she has Covid, tried to get to get the discharge nurse to listen to her about his symptoms and was just to he needed to follow up with his PCP in 3 days. This place is criminally irresponsible and I am terrified that he has ended up there yet again.

One of the worst hospitals in the area. I have ZERO respect for the practicing doctors at this institution. Doctors should at least have some self respect and attempt to get a job elsewhere, but of course many of these 2nd rate doctors leave well enough alone... Many doctors here CANT find better work and most are " 2nd chance" physicians who have a troubled past and this is as good as it gets for these losers. Its unclean and they often don't have basic supplies to treat their patients. Request the ambulance take you elsewhere no matter how severe your situation is because you may end up dead if you come here with a non-life threatening condition.

I had a seizure and went to this hospital, my face was numb my arm was numb I couldn't speak straight and I didn't have clarity of thought. I told the ER that I had hashimoto's, anemia, and other medical issues. They did not even check my TSH level. Nor did they test me for the coronavirus after I asked. The doctor didn't even close with the diagnosis. They sent me to discharge before the doctor even spoke to me. I guess because of the pandemic my standards of care are too high? The discharge nurse asked me if I had spoken to the doctor and I said no, and then he reluctantly came in to speak with me. I should have just stayed home. They probably would have preferred if I would have died in my house. Also the nurses chattered so loud that it was obnoxious. One of them spoke in a high pitched shrill. I was not rude, or out of line, but l was very disappointed with my care. If this were retail l would have justly asked for my money back.

Worst hospital ever! Staff is extremely rude, no bedside manners , I have no idea how they are still open or have not been sued. Husband went in with EXTREME abdominal pain, could not walk or talk, and when asked to be seen after 3 HOURS there the RN stated "he is not dying"she had not even taken a look at him, so rude and very cruel. Had to leave to health park after a wasted 3 hours there. Go to Health Park instead, please.

Since last week, I kept getting either missed calls from Lee Health Hospital or either the person on the other end of the phone would hang up after I answer the phone. And when I don’t answer my phone, due to me being in work meetings, they never leave me a voicemail so I’d know who to call back. Not sure what system this hospital or Lee Health in general is using but they are unorganized and unprofessional - so much for medical ethics, morals and values. When I do call back, they would say “I can’t help you with anything” and would hang up on me. In this day & age, I’m quite sure that your system has someway, somehow of backlogging or tracking who called and is able to log/ annotate. Horrible hospital and overall business. Even the case managers aren’t helpful for when my grandma stayed here for her mini stroke and having to do physical therapy. I would also like to throw out that the person at the entrance level guest check-in desk is rude and hates her life because she was not welcoming and was rude to us and wouldn’t allow my grandpa to go visit my grandma during her stay. Even though the policy was 2 visitor at a time she refused my grandpa’s entry and this was even before the close off time for guest/ visitors. If you’re going to be a professional business, try to act like one the least. Also if you that lady blonde/ brunette-ish hair lady that had a cast around her arm, that’s a joke. You do realize that she is representing and the face of the hopital upon entrance? If not the something is going on here. Everyone here needs to take a course on medical ethics 101.

I unfortunately had to give one star in order to due this review. This was the worst hospital I have ever been in. Where to begin....... I will begin at the end. Doctor saw me at 8am and released me. Didn't get the transporter untill 2pm. It took the hospital staff 6 HOURS to finally get me to the discharge desk where this lady gave some final instructions for the discharge, who then told me she called for a transporter to take me out. I asked where was the guy that brought me here, she said he had to leave, I said all you did was hand me the paper work and discharge instruction, it took ten minuets and he couldn't wait? She had the audacity to tell me I could not walk out on my own...... THAT SUMS UP MY WHOLE EXPERENCE.... I Walked out and will avoid this hospital at all costs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I suggest you do the same.

After 20 years, I have decided to Leave Lee Health due to poor management. Both of my doctors have left recently (Clearly a bad sign). Nobody even called or emailed me to tell me they left. I stopped calling because they put me on hold forever. I have a terrible health issue. They do not care and it is costing me my job and health. DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL OR ITS DOCTORS, they are nothing short of a Ringling Brothers Circus. There may be a good doctor there, but I have not been able to find anyone now, nor be able to see someone. Lawrence Antonucci, MD, MBA, the CEO of the Hospital clearly has no idea about customer service or even care about peoples health. He is not qualified for his position if these problems are and have existed in his tenure and he does nothing. Lee Memorial has been going down for years in service and quality. I now am leaving and not looking forward to the Florida Health System. But please know, Lee Memorial is one of the worst by reputation and service.

I attempted to visit my wife at Healthpark on 11/11/2020 at 2200 hrs. I drove their because "Jill" an RN said if I bring a Health Care Proxy signed by my wife I would be good to go. This was after 2-3 phone calls to the ER. When I arrived I was met by a pleasant receptionist and a male nurse about 50 y/o with a bald head. I was treated in a rude manner by him. He summoned a Social Worker by the name of "Kelly" ( they don't give out last names) and she refused my admittance to see my wife. I had a Health Care Proxy ( HIPPA release form attached indicating I am her "personal representative" and that i be treated as she would, with respect to my rights regarding the use and disclosure of her individually protected health information and/or any other medical records. Kelly totally dismissed my request, ignored a certified, notarized, and witnessed Health Care Proxy. She also said I am not on my wife's "My Chart" which I am ! A totally rude employee , treating me like garbage. FYI--I am a retired FDNY Firefighter and 9/11 First Responder ! She refused to read the legal papers and the told me to call whoever I wanted, but I would not gain admittance. This is totally unacceptable, I will be calling Lee Patient Advocates and Administrators in the morning. I would not recommend this facility to a Palmetto Bug. Totally disgusted when "Professionals" are so unprofessional and rude!

Absolutely piss poor Financial Services. Went in for Covid Test and was diagnosed with Heat Stroke instead. (Fair enough). Ended up being quarantined in a Room by myself (after it was determined I was negative for Covid). Service was fine, No issues there. However, when I got billed, they billed an extremely high amount for Fluids to my Insurance. When I got the bill for the remainder of the payments, it was still a decent chunk of change to have to pay off immediately (especially considering Covid puts lots of us having limited income). So...fast forward a month and I get a call from Financial Services telling me their sending me to collections...I’ve been making payments on the bill, monthly. But they’re still sending me to Collections. The woman on the phone was rude, and cold when telling me this and then said...we send everyone to collections if the whole bill isn’t paid within 6 months. NO WHERE on their website does it state this, and it doesn’t on their bill either. Absolutely piss poor customer service from the Billing Department!

I went to this hospital after a kayaking accident in May of this year. After waiting for around 4 hours I was sent directly to have my shoulder x-rayed. No doctor had examined me! I was in so much pain I couldn't think straight but was surprised I had not been examined and they were sending me to x-ray......how is this so? End result...they x-rayed the wrong part of my body (it was referred pain from the break ) and the doctor waltzes in and said nothing is broken. He wouldn't even look me in the eye let alone examine my arm. If he had he would of realized it was not my shoulder but my elbow that was the problem and the shoulder x-ray was totally unnecessary. Furthermore they are billing me over $2500 for never being seen by a doctor other than to be told nothing was broken. Of course nothing was broken because you x-rayed the wrong part of my body!!! When I phoned back to dispute this they suggested I come back in!! LOL Are they crazy? I am so traumatized by the experience I will never go back to a Lee Health institution..

This is the absolute WORST hospital I have ever been to. I wouldn't have even given it 1 star but did so I could write this review. I have been there 3 times and 3 strikes your out! The nurses act like they're at a social event more worried about conversating been helping patients with the exception of a few and I mean very few. There rude and unpleasant. I had a nurse in the emergency room scar my arm really bad because she didn't know how to do a procedure that I have Googled and watch three different videos of the same procedure and the way she did it I didn't see one video that way so I have a huge scar on my arm. Also if you are in pain forget about getting anything to help you. The CNAs do way more than the RNs. And the poor things I'm sure don't make a percentage of money compared to what the registered nurses make. If you need to go to a good Hospital check out health park on Summerlin that place is amazing I won't be stepping one foot inside Lee Memorial ever again. I would just assume die then going back there again!!

Wanted to send a special recognition to both Jamie & Lisa in the blood center! Both their professionalism and great attitude made my husband's visit such a pleasure. In addition, the registration and front desk members were expedient and professional at their jobs!

I never thought it was possible for a hospital to give such poor care. After getting covid and calling CVS for the antiviral pill i was told to go to the hospitals ER n get a prescription. (Im from out of state) I promptly did that and was told by the triage nurse in the ER at Lee in a very nasty tone that all im going to get from them is cough drops. I will be calling the hospital Admin in the morning. Unbelievable experience.

I went to ER 4/30/23 Sunday at 10pm with severe back spasms. Barely able to walk. This was the best experience I have ever had at a Hospital. Diagnosed, treated and out of there in 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'm on day 3 of medication and doing much better than expected. Check in was fast along with the Nurse practitioner and X-ray technician. These women truely cared about my well being and condition. As a Veteran...this Hospital has my up most respect. thank you. WILLIAM REIMERS

When you're sick the only thought you have is to get better. With the hope that the individuals assigned to your care help you to reach the goal of getting better. That was far from the case for my mother. Upon discharge for hopice care the nurse failed to give her belongs to transport, which she admitted to, and my mom's belongs were lost including her phone. I spoke to Dave from guest services several times in hopes that her phone could be found and nothing. He keeps putting the blame on transport instead of the nurse that failed to do her job. I suggested checking the cameras they had all over my mom's unit in which he promised he would and 2 weeks later no call back. This hospital is horrible from the care, to the rooms and then you have people stealing from the sick. Freaking deployable, I hope karma hits 10 times over.

I was hospitalized and the service was excellent. I went in to the emergency first. I was in the room within one hour. The first responders from the emergency to till my discharge day were excellent and professional. The receptionist were very professional and caring and so were the first responders. The room was clean and the food was okay. The primary doctor assign to me made sure all test were done and even after I was discharged they followed up with me. Everyone from the nurses to the doctors were very attentive, professional and caring.

I went to an urgent care before coming here because I had horrible pain in my left side and other symptoms that were not covid related at all. They advised me to go to the emergency room. I came here and the nurse wouldn’t let me inside the ER without a covid test, I was in serious pain and told the nurse I recently tested negative for covid and my symptoms were not covid related, that urgent care urged me to go to ER for my abdominal pain. She told me she didn’t care and that today was another day I have to be tested for covid before I could enter. I understand we’re in a pandemic but not everyone has covid and some people are actually suffering from other issues. I immediately had my friend drive me another ER to health park who did not try to force me to get a covid test before entering the emergency room where I found out an old cyst I had on my ovary has grown and is now a complex cystic mass. I’m extremely upset with my experience here and have never been refused entry to an emergency room while in serious pain, having to drive 20min away to another emergency room to get help.

We are from out of state and my daughter had an accident. She had severe head trauma and we were scared to death. Because of covid, only my wife could see her. I must tell you that they took amazing care of her. She has a long recovery ahead, but we are forever grateful to all the doctors and nurses that took care of her.

"Cleaning" personnel there are terrible!!! A nurse changing my sisters bandages insisted on taking a picture of her wound with HIS phone then" sending it to my sister" HIPPA violation!!!!!! I feel that they OVER Medicated her causing serious delusions. She didn't even know why she was in the hospital. If you have family, make sure that they visit EVERY SINGLE DAY!! SEVERAL TIMES A DAY I have so many more complaints. There were a few great people there. One guy named Kirby. Oh and Alicia.

Only two stars. One for the paramedics. And one for hydrating me. Other than that I was sent home still suffering from being poisoned. My advice: Go to health park, gulf coast, or cape hospital. This place is awful. Its Sad that I rate gas stations better than this. And I mean that. It truly makes me sad.

When in a post operative situation and your nurse does not follow doctors protocol for pain management for your stay, they have a big problem! A patient should not have to spend the night suffering in pain given the medication that they take it home and told the nurse so. I will never step foot in that hospital again!

First experience at Lee Memorial. Had the best care, doctors, nurses. Thank you so much to Natasha & Jackie on 6 North. You have no idea how much you’re appreciated by us. You gave such care to Mark during his stay, thank you doesn’t seem enough. Having a loved one undergo emergency surgery is tasking in itself. Having people care is heartwarming. It’s been a long haul for the medical community, it’s important to acknowledge their efforts when they shine. Thank you again

I appreciate the help of the ER staff, they were kind, especially my tech Ben. Then the woman that helped me twice to obtain a ride home because I was never picked up the first time. I was shocked to find how inaccurate my medical records are, though. Dr. Kennedy did the best he could with all of his patients, but he never had the time to understand my agonizing pain, and losing the ability to sleep in 1982 due to Adrenal Fatigue, better known as Post Traumatic Stress. I'm grateful Dr. Kennedy gave me 7 days prescriptions for sleep. I had just gone through another 2 months without any sleep after not sleeping for 2 months prior. He wouldn't even prescribe Baclofen for my 1 in a Million autoimmune disease for the pain, and constant screaming spasms. Or for the pain of my vertebrae sitting on my nerves. Things stated in My Chart which were lies, or inaccuracies. I was shocked to read some things stated in what they wrote regarding me. I went into small spasms when they told me that they were not going to help me my disease, and wrote that they didn't know if I was pretending it. Furthermore, If can't fake spasms. The least little bit of stress from Stiff Person Syndrome sends us into spasms, there are only approximately 5,000 in the US with this disease, which of course no one had heard of there. Yes, I was stressed, but due to what ever they put in me to calm my spasms down kept me from going into full-blown screaming spasms when told that I would not obtain help for spasms or pain. They wrote that they didn't know if I was faking it just to obtain the correct nonnarcotic medications? I'm in too much pain, nor could I ever fake spasms. But, I did appreciate anyone that took the time to help me in the ER. Blessings to all of you, especially Ben, and the black woman that helped me to obtain a ride home, and of course the ambulance people that picked me up, and immediately tried to help me. I wish that I remembered your names!

I just had orthopedic surgery and a 4 day stay at Lee Memorial Hospital, and I wish I could give 10 stars. In the past 18 months I have had surgeries (and stays) at 2 other hospitals in Naples, and I was terrified to have to go to the hospital again based on those horrific experiences. I received the best care I could have imagined at Lee MH. Starting with the outstanding communication and pre-op care, (the anesthesiologist and all the time he spent with me ensuring he did everything he could to calm my fears and address unpleasant post op conditions that could be avoided), to the excellent nursing team and hospital doctor on the floor, I feel lucky to have been there. I was treated with care, respect ,and dignity. I never had to wait a long time after calling for help. I received the details and level of communication I wanted in regards to medications, and was never made to feel anything but well cared for. I was blown away by the professionalism, positive upbeat energy, and obvious empathy for my situation among the nurses and nurse assistants. I am very grateful to them. If I have to go to the hospital for any reason, I will drive the hour plus to Lee Memorial rather than the 10 or 15 minutes to the hospitals in Naples, without a second thought.

As a frequent flyer, I'm very disappointed with my last few visits. I waited 3 hours until shift change to get meds or port accessed because the nurse was lazy and the experience I had this visit was even worse. There's a lack of compassion, care and poor communication between nurses and patient. For the most part I'm usually very understanding but due to the pain I was in, I had to go to a different ER and I haven't been here 30 minutes and I'm in a room at least.

I was always hesitant about coming to Lee Memorial due to the rating, but I was having severe upper abdominal pain and they were the closest I could get to. When I tell you I had GREAT care, I cannot stress enough how well the nurses and doctors were to me while I was in their care. Turns out I had pancreatitis and gallstones so I was in need of surgery. Dr. Bustamante was my surgeon and did phenomenal. I would also like to give many thanks to my nurses that went above and beyond for me in the 4 West unit. Thank you Lindsay, Vanessa, Ellie and Jerika for your wonderful care!

A family member was visiting from Michigan. He had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. He is still there trying to figure out what happen. He feels the nurses are treating him well and are very nice. The only complaint we have is how dirty the emergency is. The outside entrance is filthy and full of people loitering and smoking. As you walk into the emergency the floors look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. The room he was in still had old caps from needles on the floor. There are so many people looking for jobs couldn't hire some full time cleaners. Hospitals are suppose to be sterilized, I think cleanliness should be a very top priority in the hospitals.

Worst hospital ever! They treated me like a liar and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. Never saw a doctor, just nurse practitioners and students learning. I've went there a few times, I have a renal mass that has been causing me pain, blood in my urine and extreme discomfort. But apparently the patient who is experiencing the pain, doesn't know what they are talking about. Lol. They are so disorganized and rude. Plus they kept saying things like probably, maybe, sure! I dont want to hear that from my mechanic, let alone my doctor. If you go here, you'll be waitsing time, money and patience. They dont care at all about your wellbeing, only getting you out of there quickly with a prescription of tylenol and a fat bill. Very said that you have to deal with this level of cruelty as a patient in need of help. Breaks my heart!

We moved here in September and tried numerous times to get established with new doctors. One was appointed to us through my husbands Medicare plan as he was taking new patients. 4 months of calling every week and no one returning our calls, driving to their office but not allowed to book an appointment in person, calling the central booking desk for help and no one returning calls, resorting to have to book expensive flights back to our hometown to get medication refills, our doctors back home even tried calling three times for us and were put on hold for over a half hour each time and then the phone picked up and the call promptly dropped. Finally 2 days ago I got someone at the Rheumatologist office and was told it takes 4-6 weeks for a doctor to look at my records and then decide if they will accept me or not. I explained my Rheumatologist is St Louis faxed 50 pages of my medical records over on 11/24 so it has been 6 weeks. Her response- at this time we cannot tell you if we will see you or not and I cannot verify we have anything faxed over from your physician l. I asked for her name so I could relay that back to my doctor back home in the event they need to see what happened to the records sent, and she slapped the phone down on me! I’ve also tried to set up our MyChart accounts and that is another fiasco that I finally have just utterly given up on. I called Human Resources to report the plethora of issues I have had with their employees and to speak to a patient advocate. I was told Lee Health had no patient advocate and that I cannot set up a MyChart account until I get in to see a physician. I know this is not true because I have linked MyChart to other systems on Epic in the event I would go to one of their specialists, as my former hometown was a 98% Epic customer city. It is imperative that the specialist I would like to see can view my records. Just complete rudeness and cover up for their worthless employees. This morning my husband called the doctor he was set up with because now he is out of his prostate and heart meds. Four months of waiting for a return phone call. The stinkpot finally answered the call after being on near eternal hold. Now he is told this doctor is no longer taking new patients! So he calls his insurance company and speaks to a representative there. They said he is accepting patients, and made a three way call to the patient appointment call center who then says that yes he is but ..... of course someone will have to call us back! Time to call CMS and file a dastardly complaint against this joke of a hospital!

They said I was in bad shape. But with a little glue and a lot of TLC from all the staff,I was feeling good. Then came PT.They sai I needed long term care before rehab, but a PTnamed Judy took me on.After weeks in bed, she and staff had me up in awlker. On the 4th session she moved all the chair s,etc from this small room to give me more room. I walked 35' that day and now am in Short term intense pt.On day of discharge, my ER doc showed up to wish me the best telling me he was glad to be a part of my recovery!I will forever be thankful to Lee Health and all their staff.

Sort of a mixed bag because it really depends on the individual you end up dealing with. On the bad end, they poked a hole in my brother's intestine while removing his appendix, it went septic and he almost died. On the good end, when I got a staple in my hand, they did everything they could to make sure it was removed with minimal damage even though it was into the cartilage. On average, the nurses are better than the doctors, but there are some nasty nurses too. Shout out to the guy who gave my a cardiogram like 8 years ago, great guy.

I went to er last night, after having pain in my left leg which I know is a new symptom of the back problems I have. The dr did a 2 min exam and agreed that it’s probably my back. Gave me the same medicine that I already told him I took. I was not there to get medicine that I know isn’t helping or seeking anything stronger. I was hoping they would do some kind of imaging (which would make sense) since it’s a new symptom and my last mri was in 2016. Even if they couldn’t do an mri they could have done a cat scan to explain why I now have my entire left leg in pain when that was not a symptom before. New symptom means something has changed. This dr (Dr. Glen Fortier) did not care. He admitted to not looking at my MyChart and even looking at the previous mri, even though it’s a current painful problem, new symptoms, and a prior imaging result. Now I know my result then was bad, and this dr just wanted to clear the bed. Discharged me with medicine I already have in the house and still scared as to why I’m having these problems. He was even rude when I told him I had to wait until after work. “You can work” I told him I have no choice but to work, not everyone has the luxury of being wealthy. I know I have a high tolerance for pain, and I told the dr that. I was treated as if I’m lying and he documented in my MyChart that I was stable but I left with the same pain I went in with and no answers, feeling belittled.

The front desk and everyone was amazing. No wait at all . I bought my son in for throwing up and not being able to keep anything down. They gave him medicine fast and he was able to eat and started feeling better. Thank you for helping my son !

They have a friendly staff. Had a procedure same day there. They are efficient. If you were checked in already from a previous visit. Your pass will have a picture of you in system for easier check in. Very clean hallways. They also have nice volunteers working their.

I had a sleep study done at Lee health hospital. Went in at 7:30 at night and left the next morning about 630. The staff were extremely helpful. Brought me to my room. I am handicapped so I couldn’t walk that far. They thoroughly explained the procedure. I was glad I brought my blanket because the room was cold. Awaiting results for new CPAP.

The ER and MICU get five stars but unfortunately 3-North only gets one star so overall average of 3 stars. There are two nurses on 3-north that are wonderful (Bob & Yusleisy), the rest are terrible (especially Kristine & Cathy). The floor doctor, Dr. Ganatra... just horrible. Might come see the patient once a day but never communicates with the family. Thank God for MyChart or I'd have no idea what's going on. Even the notes leave me with more questions than answers most of the time. 31 days so far and have been told for the last two weeks that he'll get out "tomorrow" but not given any reasons why or what's even going on. 3 north could use Communication 101 and a course on bedside manners.

If you don't speak English, this hospital will ignore and neglect you. Go somewhere else My mother in law is currently staying there. Been there for 6 days. She does not speak English. But her children do. They wont communicate with her adult children whats happening with her or what her treatments are, even though they are aware she doesnt speak english. Doctors and nurses don't give her a translator, they ignore her when she asks for help so USE THE BATHROOM, and the just "forget' to give her breakfast and tell her she has to wait for lunch. After making complaints, the nurses laugh at her and her family. They even yelled at her daughter for asking for food for her. This hospital is a disgrace.

Horrible service. Waited over an hour for a possible broken hand and STILL wasn't seen, but they will take back drug addicts who openly admit in the waiting room they were going to try to get some drugs and she only waited for 10 minutes before they called her back. VA luckily got me another hospital at Cape Coral where the service is way better.

The ICU doctors and RN'S, Respiratory therapy, OT girls and speech therapist are top notch!! I actually give them a 10 out of 10 BUT my so called social worker and the administrative office are the worse!! They say that they are a non profit hospital but they refuse to use that charity money. I was released before I felt comfortable walking, can't wash my hair by myself. But I am thankful for them saving my life!!

They need to do better in transport flow. Setting in the ER over 3 hrs after being told they have a bed ready. Also was told they would get me food and norhing. Nursing staff great but way overworked admin needs to fix these communications and flow issues fixed.
