I took my baby girl to this hospital having been referred by my vet as she needed immediate surgery for bladder stone that was not allowing her to pee. After waiting an hour for someone to come to my car, I had to wait another hour before she was taken inside to be evaluated. So they return with paperwork asking for over 2,000 for first surgery AND another 3,000 for a second surgery later in week. I had no pet insurance and I am retired so I asked what could be worked out to pay this bill. They return and suggest I go to a animal rescue or a charitable organization to see if they could find a vet to this surgery at a lower costs, no other options where offered.. I left visibly upset and one kind lady walked me to my car with my baby girl. My fur baby died later that day before I could find someone to help her. My vet was wonderful in trying to help me. I feel this hospital is in it only for the money. No payment plan, no percentage off, nothing was offered. I think of her every day and I miss her terribly.

My pup suddenly was extremely sick and unresponsive. We rushed her to BluePearl and by the time we got there we thought we had already lost her. The staff ran out to us and ran back in. It was touch and go but they were able to save my baby. She stayed a few nights in the hospital and the staff called regularly, gave her kisses and snuggles for me and even allowed a quick visit. I cannot say enough good things about everyone who works here. They saved my girl and did it with such compassion.

I had a horrible experience at Blue Pearl. My cat was diagnosed with FIP dry which is a terminal coronavirus. Blue Pearl would not administer the anti-viral medication, which is the only known way to treat FIP otherwise it is 100% fatal. My adult cat was not eating for a week, weighed 5 lbs, had a fever over 104, and had a feeding tube placed. I had to pull my cat out of the vet and bring him to other vets to administer the medication. Blue Pearl was difficult and not supportive of my cats treatment plan. Then, Blue Pearl discharged my cat without notice when we were at the eye doctor. They don’t care about your pet at all. Only use this place as a last resort— but stay away entirely if you have an FIP pet. They constantly remind you of how important all their other cases are while your pet is terminally ill. Photo of how my cat was discharged not eating, with a fever, and barely conscious is below.

My 12- year old yorkie, Simba (the gray pup on the left), unfortunately slipped off of the couch (trying to get to food) a week before christmas and tore his ccl. We also didn't know until our consultation with Dr. Frame that Simba very likely had Cushings Disease because he spotted the symptoms right away. This increases thirst and appetite dramatically. Testing and confirming this diagnosis improved the quality of Simba's life significantly. Dr. Frame is a tremendously thorough, patient and compassionate person. He responded to phone calls, emails, and allll of my questions and concerns very promptly and ultimately we decided to have him perform the surgery on Simba. We are so impressed with the follow-up post-surgical care offered at Blue Pearl and our surgical cost included 2 rehab sessions that accelerated Simba's healing without a doubt. As one may guess, the cost was to be expected, and worth every penny as Simba has done SO well and the experience was much less stressful because of Dr. Frame and the staff at Blue Pearl. So grateful for the guidance, care, positive attitudes, and professionalism of every person we encountered.

BluePearl Emergency Veterinary service is AMAZING. Last Thursday, I rushed to the hospital with my nearly 17 year old lab who was near death due to fluid building up around her heart. I called the office about 2 minutes before I arrived to tell them I was coming. They were waiting in the parking lot! They acted so quickly and grabbed her our of the car and ran her into the facility to begin working on her. They were able to save her life and stabilize her within a matter of minutes. They were extremely compassionate, caring, and acted with a sense of urgency. Sadly, we decided it was not worth putting her through that experience again as they found a mass on her heart. While we are sad to see our girl go, it was what was best for her. The team made sure she was comfortable and gave us all of the space and time we needed to say goodbye. I can't thank the team enough for everything they did for us! I highly recommend this veterinarian for emergencies. (I haven't been there otherwise to comment on their regular services) Dr. Patel and her team were great! Unfortunately given the situation, I didn't get everyone's names who helped in the process, but it was nearly the entire team that helped. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My girl Mulan (dog) became very ill. We went and were seen right away. Everyone from the front desk staff to the doctors were amazing. We left with an initial diagnosis of gastroenteritis. After being home for a couple of hours, she was still extremely lethargic and seemed to actually be getting worse. I called them and they said to bring her back immediately. They got her right in and said they would be admitting her. From that point in, I could not have asked for better people to be taking care of her. The doctors, the nurses, the communication... and the LOVE was beyond words. Thank you for literally saving my girl's life. I could write a novel on how amazing each and every one of you are.

I hardly provide reviews however, based on my experience with my pet I feel like it is my duty to inform the public. I've owned pets for over 20 years and been to many vet's and facilities for pet care. This one was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. They will hit you with outrageous fees, less than compassionate doctors, and few options for your pet's survival that isn't going to cost you your life savings. As you arrive they charge you $800 just to see your pet who's experiencing a life threatening emergency. Be aware, I lost my Female Doberman because the care to just tell me what is going on with her would cost me 14k they estimated. I am still heartbroken and beating myself up because I should have chosen better for my Doberman. To think this facility is where she took her last breath haunts me. Please Stat away and find another emergency 24hr facility.

On a scale of one to ten this specialty, emergency pet veterinary faciality deserves a bazillion points. Not only were they kind, caring and extremely professional, they donated to us a quality pet carrier for our cat when we didn't have one to transport our cat to and from the facility. Who does that? Dr. Abdo did a thorough check up on our little girl and it was determined we would have some more time with her. We thought for sure we were going to have to let her cross the rainbow bridge. You guys are AMAZING!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We brought our puppy in yesterday, who was not eating at all for like 3 days (and she loves her food) and had bloody diarrhea. She was also very lethargic and sad. Dr. Sarah Hoke was the attending physician and I have to say “she is one of the best vets I have ever seen!”. She sat down with us to explain everything she saw and didn’t see in our pup’s exams. She also made sure to have our dog’s primary vet read the ultrasound results we did to her vs having to wait for the reading to be sent. She was also so observant in paying attention to our pup’s personality and wanting what was best for her vs wanting to take money from us. She explained every process, what her objective was and what she couldn’t do. Honestly, we have had dogs for almost 40 years and Dr. Hoke has been one of 3 vets I met who are outstanding. In the same evening, we could see a huge improvement on our pup, when she ate and looked for food. Today, she is eating her kibbles again. The staff at Blue Pearl was also amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and kind, from the front desk professionals (the face of the business) to the vet techs. We are definitely a forever client.

Having a team of people you can rely on in a pet emergency is such a rare thing - but one you can count on when it comes to the staff at Blue Pearl. Our 17 year old dog was diagnosed with coronary heart disease 4+ years ago and having a great team of folks at Blue Pearl made all the difference in the world. They treated him with kindness, made him feel comfortable and were just incredibly compassionate with him. They were also very kind to us when he passed. We all want someone to treat our pets like they would treat their own - and they really do @ Blue Pearl. Understand that sometimes medical procedures are required and expensive - but we found them to be extremely fair and always in the best interest of our little friend. I would recommend Blue Pearl to anyone who is looking for great medical attention, prevention and compassion.

We had emergency situation with Elvis ~ our Balinese male cat. It was Thursday/Friday morning around 3am on 14th of July. He was shaking ~ like few seconds all body shaking and it was for more than half an hour ~ when we decided to take him to Blue Pearl ~ which is 24/7. He got admitted and they checked him out and did blood work. Since his bloodwork came good ~ he was released with some liquid medication that we used for a few days. Yes, emergencies are not cheap ~ but we were highly satisfied with their deduction, knowledge and help. We spent around hour or two there, but came home happy. Only thing I didn’t like was following: They took Elvis in some examination room and I wasn’t able to be there with him or see him. He was there for like 30 minutes & I was worried. I believe that this is a normal practice ~ but it didn’t feel comfortable to me. My rating is 5 stars ~ they helped us, they did follow up & also informed our regular veterinarian at Middle River Animal Hospital about this emergency. I am very thankful for everything! ❤️💖 Highly recommend!

Do NOT go here! They cut my cats whiskers off and lied to us! Now she is unbalanced and the nurse on the phone was extremely rude and kept stating she had nothing to say and "if there's nothing else we can help you with, I will have to disconnect". Who does that! We had an appointment at another vet due to my cats ear being very irritated and she was uncomfortable. The day before our vet appointment her ear puffed up and she ended up having an aural(ear) hematoma. We immediately took her to the closest 24/7 ER which was Blue Pearl and we instantly regretted it. The only permanent solution is surgery and this vet advised that vets no longer due these surgeries. They LIE. I called multiple vets and she is currently having this surgery and all vets have been appalled and disgusted to hear and see what they have done to my baby. They cut all but 1 whisker on the right side of her face. I'm disgusted. I am not a vet but I work with pets and animals every day for my job and this has made me and my family sick to our stomachs. Blue pearl is owned by MARS! A chocolate company! If I knew that I would not have went there and took 10 minutes more of a drive to another hospital. I feel so bad for my cat, she is off balance and uncomfortable, not only from her ear, but now because she has no whiskers and who knows how long it will take for them to grow back or for her to get used to it. If you love your animals, please find other vets. Rude and uneducated staff, they do not care about your pets and after researching, you can find lawsuits and many articles regarding the professional malpractice of Blue Pearl. I'm grateful the vet she is at now is fixing Blue Pearls mistakes and helping me and my cat get through this as best as possible. Do not bring your pets here or you might not bring them home alive. This visit at blue pearl was under my girlfriends name, so don't bother giving me a poor response saying you could not find me in the system and to call, because we did call! They were rude and did not care. Protect your pets, bring them somewhere else. This vet is getting closer and closer to losing their license.

These people are AMAZING! The vet and all of the staff were so compassionate and understanding. Losing a pet is like losing a child and it’s never easy. From the time I walked in the door a week ago, all the way to today when I picked up my babies sweet paw print, they went above and beyond with customer service. I’ll forever be grateful for how they handled my dog’s last day.

My sweet old lady English bulldog Liberty passed just the other morning. While I am absolutely heartbroken I believe Blue Pearl did everything they felt necessary to help her and also make her feel relaxed and at peace. Unfortunately with our beloved pets it seems like things can be going well and then not go well and we'll never really have control over it. The doctor who helped Liberty that night was super knowledgeable and thorough and the front desk attendant/nurse, Megan, was absolutely comforting. Everyone in the comments below have been saying how expensive it is but I have not had an experience where a vet visit, 24 hour hospital and/or just our regular vet, where it didn't cost me a good amount of money. I knew it would be expensive but to be honest for a clean top notch animal hospital I would prefer it that way. I almost took her to the urgent care animal hospital in Deerfield Beach and when I called to mention I was going to bring her the guy on the phone was super disrespectful and was laughing on the phone? So hands down, choose Blue Pearl, especially for an overnight visit if ever needed.

Brought my dachshund here after hours when he bit a poisonous toad - he was foaming at the mouth and vomiting. Front desk received me immediately and they took my pup back to stabilize him within 1 minute of my arrival. Shortly after, the doctor explained his condition and recommended he stay over night. I called 6am the following day and was told he was doing great and ready for pickup at any time convenient for me. I picked him up with absolutely no delay - I got a full run down of what happened and had my pup back, wagging his tail. I could tell he had spent an OK night there. Yes, it was an expensive affair but I’ve never been to an emergency clinic that wasn’t - that’s why my pups have insurance! Would definitely recommend this place - everyone was knowledgeable, empathetic and beyond respectful.

I took my dog in for dermatological and allergy issues. The new Dermatology Vet could not have been nicer or more informed. She performed an exam and took a culture and prescribed medicine. No pricing was mentioned. When I came to check out the bill was $818 with the instructions to come back in a month, When I checked the drugs and shampoo they sold me against Chewy prices the mark up was (i) 600% shampoo (ii) 200% and 205% for generic drugs and (iii) 100% for canned dog food. They charges $420 for the culture, exam and Cytology. Comparing these prices on line and they are marked up from 80% to 520% The Vet was very understanding when I raised the issue of pricing but said she does not set them. My dog was is bad shape and I felt I had no choice but to take care of him immediately. I believe BluePearl is taking advantage of the customers and price gouging. Caveat Emptor.

I had an emergency with a pet cat. The prognosis was not good. These folks helped me as a walk in. They didn't know me at all and treated me with kindness and respect. The only real option was humane euthanasia. If you have an emergency or are local to this vet hospital, this is a great place to go. Thank you for helping with Lemmy the cat.

I appreciate blue pearl animal hospital so very much. I unfortunately have had two separate pet incidents that brought me to their facilities. One was a cancer surgery. With that experience, the evaluation and treatment was explained to me thoroughly. I understood the procedure and prognosis, very clearly, and appreciated the honesty of the doctor. The love for my pet was so very visible. Even after she died, the staff all remembered her and was, so loving over a year later just to care for her. My next incident was a true pet emergency and the doctor diagnosed treated and involved me in the emergency process so quickly. I visited my pet at all hours of the day and called at all hours of the day. Each time I was received with kindness and patience. The staff was so loving with my puppy and was very honest with her Dyer situation. They used multiple outside resources in her treatment and seemed very knowledgeable with everything they had to do for her. I recommend the doctors there as we saw many of them over the course of treatment while we were in patient Under their care. Thank you so much Blue Pearl Er.

Sal at Blue Pearl does physical and hydrotherapy with our mini Aussie Ace. Ace had ACL surgery on both legs and was not strong. We went to another physical therapist for a consult who told us Ace would never play frisbee again. He was 7 years old and tons of energy! We took him to Sal and he has been running, swimming and playing ever since. Of course we limit activities but he is so happy and much stronger! Thank you Sal!

This place is a money extortion operation instead of a ER hospital. I was sent here from another ER one evening when my dog had an issue. After getting here, with out a full set of test or definitive diagnosis. I was give a $12,000+ quote for surgery! They came to a conclusion by initial symptoms and a “quick scan”. All while my pup was just waiting with out anything else being done to stabilize the situation. When I ask when can they operate on her, they say not till morning and they won’t be able to do a full ultra till then. I chose to take her home since we were due at her regular vet in the morning. She went to her vet 6 hours later got a full set of X-ray and ultra sound with a definite diagnosis and emergency operation for 1/3 of what this place was quoting me. They are about praying on people in need helping your pet is just a benefit. The only positive part was the staff was very polite.

My kitty got hit by a car and the vet recommended to go to Blue Pearl Animal Hospital. I was not allowed to go inside due to Covid. The girl who helped me outside (blond, short hair-can’t remember her name) was the nicest person ever. I was so stressed and She was lovely with my kitty, with me and took her time to explain all the details to me. The doctor was very nice explaining all procedures over the phone. The girl explained the detailed bill, helped me figure out what to do with whatever i could afford. They do not over charge you nor try to have you doing extra stuff to get more money. They were honest, helpful, polite and affordable. I will recommend Blue Pearl to all my friends and if i need a emergency place for my kitties, i will come back here without thinking twice. Thanks for having a great Animal Hospital!

Wait time was VERY long but I couldn't have asked for better treatment of my cat ANYWHERE. Seriously, this was the 3rd veterinary clinic in 5 days and the only one who listened, the only one that was accurate and not interested in over-treatment, over-medicating, nor charging for miscellaneous and unnecessary this and that which is typical of most vet clinics. The only thing I have left to say is that my rescue cat, who is now amazingly recovered. Loved all the staff; empathic and kind.

We had an emergency situation with our dog who ate an entire loaf of cinnamon raisin bread and I was in a panic. our regular vet was closed so we called BluePearl and they were immediately helpful and guided us on what to do. Once we got him there, they had him back within 5 minutes. All the staff were very friendly and helpful to my husband and I, and most importantly, to our dog. Prices were very reasonable, facility was very clean and nice. Would definitely recommend-thank you guys for helping our sweet Finchy boy, happy we came across this place.

My dogs kidney levels were insanely high for his age - he just turned 1. And my vet who has 30 years of experience and is top rated in the state told me to go to an internist bc it was that bad and got worse over 2 weeks . I was referred to Dr Cannon (internist). No appointments for 2 months so I asked if I could go through the ER today and if it was bad I could see the internist. They said yes. Here’s my review: - If your dog needs any internal medicine care (belly, kidneys, etc) do not go any other day except Mon - Thurs as their internist isn’t there and your dog needs to be on deaths doorstep (I mean literal death per the doctor) to summon them on call and they will still charge you $1000 minimum to determine that regardless of the same work you just had done 10 hours prior and even still - it’s up to their discretion. Only their doctor accepts their own ultrasounds (not from your equally qualified vet on the same equipment and of course this place charges $700 - FYI this isn’t even complaint with HUMAN medicine standards/pricing which are far more complex). The internists have 0 regular appointments for 2+ months out and according to the reviews below - just go somewhere else. - If you go outside of the timeline provided above they will make you sit in the lobby for 2 hours with 0 patients in there (it was dead inside) and then charge you $167 intake to JUST weigh your dog against your wishes even if they were weighed 10 hours prior at your vet even when they have the records sent to them. They will lie to you on the phone and mislead you entirely. They tried to get me to pay $500 for blood work that was performed 10 hours prior by the vet and sent to them and when I told my vet - I was told to get out of there immediately. These people lured me in under the guise of being able to see the internist then took my dog in to weigh him (when I said he was weighed 10 hours ago) against my will just to charge me and then tell me after 2 hours that the internist wasn’t there. But wait, it gets better. - Dr Patel has 0 bedside manner. I’d rather deal with a prison physician. She was truly horrible and I’ve dealt with physicians for humans and pets in 10 countries. - Kim at the front desk is wonderful and so are the nurses. The doctors are terrible and try to upcharge the life out of you and then when you ask common sense questions like “why would I have this done today for $1500 when you just said you’re going to make me come back on Monday around your doctors schedule to do it all over again and try keep my dog over the weekend when you just said this wasn’t acute and didn’t warrant an on call internist” they get mad - RUN. I thought human medicine was bad. This is 10x worse. Run. Unless your pet is missing a literal eyeball or something so brazen that it’s a visible lawsuit if they reject them - do not go here. Even then, they are so understaffed even when it’s dead, you’ll be waiting 2+ hours and they will run you around and take advantage. It was truly disheartening, cold, and a gross experience overall. You couldn’t pay me to return here. I’d rather drive 20 miles out of the way that’s how disgusting this experience was.

My baby is there right now getting the care she needs. Everyone was super-professional, caring, and considerate and are helping us all through a scary time. I know my beloved doggie is getting the best care possible. The facilities are top-notch and I feel good that no matter what the outcome, they care and are doing their best to save my little girl. I have experienced bad vets, so I truly appreciate the great ones. And thank you, VA Darwin for the extra-attention you gave my girl. It meant the world during a very stressful time for us all!

I recently had a deeply unsettling experience with Blue Pearl. I visited their clinic seeking medical advice for my cat, who was experiencing health issues at the time. To my shock and dismay, the veterinarian recommended euthanizing my cat immediately unless I paid a staggering $3000 or more for treatment. I am appalled by their unethical behavior and exorbitant pricing. First and foremost, it is important to note that my cat is now perfectly fine without treatment. It is clear that the diagnosis provided by Blue Pearl was either inaccurate or overly drastic. To suggest euthanasia without thoroughly exploring alternative options or seeking a second opinion is not only callous but also highly unprofessional. Moreover, the clinic's insistence on an exorbitant price tag for the proposed treatment is simply unjustifiable. . It is evident that Blue Pearl prioritizes profit over the welfare of the animals they claim to care for. The lack of compassion and empathy displayed by the veterinarian during this distressing ordeal was disheartening. Their insensitivity and pressure tactics created an environment of fear and manipulation, leaving me with no choice but to seek help elsewhere. I strongly urge pet owners to be cautious when considering Blue Pearl for their beloved companions. The clinic's disregard for the well-being of animals and their exploitative pricing practices demonstrate a complete lack of integrity. I highly recommend seeking care from a reputable and compassionate veterinary hospital that prioritizes the health and happiness of your pets over financial gain.

They say they are 24/7 animal emergency hospital but they are NOT. Came at 3:45 AM to face the close doors and the guy that picked up the phone sounded like he just woke up and said they are NOT open and they do not have a doctor until 6 AM. Went home and called them at 10:30 AM to ask if I can bring my dog to see the doctor they aid NO, NOT on Sundays they do not have a doctor on stuff. I told them politely they should not advertise on internet and on their building as 24/7 animal emergency care. The lady over the phone told me that they cannot take that down as they are 24/7 emergency animal care center. I do not see how can that be if they do not actually offer that service 24/7. I also just moved from Canada so do not have a car yet and used cab to get there. So I was sitting there for good 20-30 minutes waiting on the can to come pick me up. The guy that answered was informed that the cab just dropped me off and left and that I am in front of the doors with a sick dog had concerned that I a female alone with a small dog sitting in front of their closed door in the middle of the night in sketchy area. AWFULL!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS OR HUMANS.

My son in law took their dog in and was treated for broken leg, she also had open sores. He was assured that all was taken care of. Only to find out that the Vets SLOPPY work led to having the leg amputated because of missing punctures wounds that were highly infected, they were told all was good and they could discontinue antibiotics. The dog was treated by their regular vet and the leg was amputated.

***PET OWNERS BEWARE*** MY DOG ENDED UP WITH A LEG AMPUTATION FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE*** If I could give zero stars I would. I took my dog to blue pear sue to a fracture/open wound on my dogs front right leg. The told me that there was only 2 corses of action that I could do. I could either do surgery or split it with regular bandage changes. We went with the second option and splinted and did weekly (some weeks twice weekly) bandage changes. We were told that since she wasn’t a toy breed her leg would most likely heal just fine. At this time and even after her first bandage change, the doctor missed all the puncture wounds on her paw. So after a week later they found all the wounds. Which I thought was strange at first. FAST FORWARD 7 WEEKS OF WEEKLY BANDAGE CHANGES- we were told everything was healed and that we could make it to 2-2.5 weeks, we were told to stop all antibiotics. Low and behold 2 weeks later we noticed something wasn’t right, we took our dog into our vet, and we were told that either we needed to amputate her leg, or put her down. This office missed a puncture wound on her paw, and the infection was so severe that it wasn’t savable. Which was shocking to hear after spending thousands of dollars at this hospital. When I called this office to tell them what was going on, I left a voicemail on the surgery line, they called me back 2 days later. They didn’t have the correct notes, told me that the hospital director would need to review this case. Well I wasn’t ever called back by the director, instead I was called back by a combative doctor whom never apologized for what happened to my dog, had zero compassion, blamed this on me, was extremely rude and talked over me. He was so rude and wouldn’t let me speak that I had to mute him and give the phone to my husband. It’s been over a week now and still no one has called me back or reached out, not to mention they never reached out to see how my dog was doing either. So if I could save another family from this experience, I hope this helps. Also we refused to return to them and did my dogs amputation at Animal Oasis, (our vets office) and we had the exact opposite experience, we were met with compassion, and people that truly do care about your pet. ******PET OWNERS BEWARE******
