This is a terrific neighborhood style bakery. Local to Miami, it has more than one location and is a great meet, eat, and cowork space. The pastries look amazing and everything is fresh with brekkie being made to order. Be specific with what you want and how you want it when ordering. It is a little on the pricier side, $12 for a bacon, egg & cheese but that is to be expected these days on the beach and off. Bathrooms are clean and service is friendly. I have been several times and did enjoy working from here. Do go and get a taste of Miami. A Plus Recommends

Good Cuban/American bakery. We are in Miami Beach and prices can be high but this bakery is as close as your going to get to having a cheap Cuban breakfast and cafecito in the beach. I want to give it 4 stars because it can be a hit or miss but Na. I like it and I’m ok with that. If you want to have a good hefty breakfast don’t think and get the pan con churrasco. It’s amazing. And don’t be a whip and get the meal with fries. Trust me. Dale !

Everything is good here (seriously), and very reasonably priced. It's clean, has plenty of seating (ac inside, or a shaded patio). Service is quick, polite, and professional. Pretty sure they have a loyalty program like Starbucks, though I always forget to enter my info since I'm usually grabbing a quick bite & coffee in a hurry lol. Only con is parking - I rarely drive here because they only have a couple of tight spots out front off Alton. Have I mentioned that I love this place? I love this place.

CAO Bakery Alton Road Miami Beach Really bad service Like every CAO Bakery they start great but then they let the business go down the drain because of service. Even though they consistently deliver great food; the service falls short from under the bar. The employee at the counter that helped me around 7:00 pm on September 01, 2022 was just waiting for the last hour to pass so that she can close and leave. It seems to me that the team gets no training whatsoever in customer service and that is absolutely poor management. I must point that out because the same thing happened at their location in North Miami, which is sad considering that they have so many years managing bakeries in Miami. You can have a good concept in food, decor and atmosphere but if your team members don’t even know what a smile is and continue to treat their best clients like if they were doing them a favor; sooner or later your doors will permanently close. They offer a rewards program that as a frequent client I’m still waiting to understand how it works and how we can all benefit from it, especially during such difficult times. I can go on and on to build a list of small details that can damage their reputation and eventually hurt their business. If I continue to get treated like my life don’t matter, I will definitely stop coming here. As a recap, the warm atmosphere that the CAO family says that they offer should start on training their team to provide the right service, including every single detail. If this is as they call the new generation of Cuban bakeries, I see no future for this great concept with poor service. Put your act together people! JR

My new favorite place in SoBe. All the food items were wonderful. The desserts were amazing. And, it seems, the only place in SoBe with reasonable prices!

I had a delightful experience with the staff. From the greeting upon walking in the door to the recommendation of the foods to which I was in a hurry Diana Rosa was a true definition of what a customer service is all about. Highly recommend this place and if you happen to swing by ask for her to attend you she will make your day with a joke or a comment.

This place has wide variety of bakery stuff. The guava pastry was good and even the orange juice. The breakfast sandwich was ok. The breakfast with bagel was not good. It was like a stone. No one can eat that. I could not take a single bite.

Super rude staff and customer service. I get take out here often for my family but always check the order as they often forget items. Today they forgot one of my sandwiches and when I brought it the gentleman’s attention he started to rummage through all the trashes for the receipt that he threw away. He did this for five minutes and then told me I never ordered that sandwich. I told him my wife ordered the sandwich which he said was impossible because he would never make mistake. He then told me I had to wait in the long line to order and pay for the sandwich and that then he would make it. I asked if he could start making it and I would wait to pay but he said no. He then proceeded to prepare food without washing his hands after rummaging through the trash.

I asked for a sandwich with scrambled eggs and received a sandwich with a tortilla instead. I’ve been coming here for a while. Usually I get there all day breakfast but the place always takes forever and Service is always awful. Today was my last time.

Love this spot in Miami Beach! Place to be to have a good cuban breakfast ,lunch or snacks. I recommend this place

CAO is everything you need for Miami coffee and pastries, or cafecito and your favorite pastelitos. Shame on you if you visit Starbucks in Miami. You’d be missing and opportunity for life-changing experiences if Cuban coffee is new to you, and you’d be paying 150% more than a purchase at CAO. Parking can be a challenge here, but find a spot and walk. It’s a beautiful day.

Alaways enjoy to be in there. Great and simple Finger food. Good Colads and clean place.. Settings inside and outside... One thing i need to mention is that the music is a bit to laud for my taste and generaly for a meeting place... Otherwise D-place to meet somebody.

No matter how many times customers say the service is bad, they don't seem to care. They always make you feel like trash. It has nothing to do with what language you speak, I speak native Spanish, they will give you the worse treatment.

Overal experience was great! The coffee was great! My friend loved the the Cuban sandwich she ordered! I ordered the “vegan” sandwich, called a “vegan” sandwich however the cheese was not vegan... Other than that hiccup everything else was great! Thank you!

Recommended by Locals which means you need to go. Everything here is made fresh and absolutely delicious. Today, I had the Breakfast Croissant and a Cortadito. Best I ever had. The croissant had fresh eggs, you can choose scrambled or fried, and ham. It was big but what I liked was they pressed the croissant like a cuban sandwich. Wow Wow and Wow. The Cortadito was also awesome and to top it off, they gave me a free loaf of Cuban Bread for the road. Might be a Monday Special, not sure, but thanks CAO. Plenty of space and very clean. Great for lunch as well..

I love this place. Food is always good and fast. I've never sat and eaten only got takeout. Really no other place on the beach like this for fast, good priced cuban food.

I LOVE this bakery. It’s beautiful and everything they make tastes perfect. Parking is difficult but it’s worth it. I went in there to buy a cake and some pastries, but ended up buying twice as many different pastries and treats because they’re irresistible. Coffee is also perfectly made. Staff are attentive, helpful and friendly, and it is clear they work very hard.
