I’ve
been
scuba
diving
recreationally
around
the
world
since
2011,
in
Australia,
Asia,
Middle
East
and
Europe
several
times
a
year.
This
was
my
first
time
scuba
diving
in
USA,
and
it
was
an
interesting
experience!
The
dive
centre
has
all
the
required
equipment
to
rent
in
good
condition
and
the
staff
are
very
friendly
and
helpful.
The
check
in
process
was
straightforward
and
quick
and
we
were
on
the
boat
within
30
minutes.
We’ve
done
a
couple
of
shallow
dives
at
30-40ft
deep.
They’ve
coupled
all
licensed
divers
as
the
shallow
dives
are
not
guided
unless
it
is
requested
for
an
additional
cost.
The
dive
sites
(Neptune
Memorial
Reef
and
Rainbow
Reef)
were
beautiful
with
lots
of
marine
life.
It
was
also
my
first
time
seeing
so
many
huge
jellyfish
during
a
dive!
Some
of
the
main
differences
in
my
experience
to
diving
in
Europe,
Australia
and
Asia
were:
1.
All
units
are
different
in
USA
so
need
to
know
how
to
sign
for
example
2200
psi
as
oppose
to
150
bar.
2.
All
my
previous
dives
with
other
dive
centres
outside
USA,
recreational
dives
are
guided
for
single
divers
in
a
group
at
no
additional
cost,
but
here
we
were
partnered
with
other
divers,
which
did
not
go
well
for
me
as
my
partner
was
stressed
and
ran
out
of
oxygen
in
the
first
5-10
minutes
of
the
first
dive
and
we
had
to
return
to
the
boat!
3.
In
my
experience
with
other
dive
centres
outside
USA,
safety
rules
and
hand
signals
are
always
without
a
fail
reminded
to
all
certified
divers
and
potential
presence
of
jellyfish
or
other
potentially
harmful
species
is
warned
prior
to
the
dive,
which
was
not
the
case
here.
I
was
surprised
seeing
so
many
huge
jellyfish
in
the
water
which
we
needed
to
actively
avoid.
Unfortunately
one
of
the
divers
were
stung
by
a
jellyfish
right
at
the
beginning
of
the
first
dive
and
had
to
return
to
the
boat.
All
in
all,
based
on
my
research
looking
into
all
dive
centres
nearby
I
think
Tarpoon
is
one
of
the
best
dive
centre
in
Miami
beach
with
great
staff,
fully
equipped
boat
and
diving
equipment.
I
also
think
Miami
is
a
great
place
to
learn
diving
as
the
water
is
warm,
the
marine
life
is
beautiful
and
there
are
so
many
shallow
reefs
for
first
timers
to
learn
scuba
diving.
