Made reservations and was told I would still have to wait 30min if I wanted to be seated inside. We opted to sit outside by the water and the ambiance was nice overlooking the water. Our waitress Gigi was nice and pleasant and very informative about everything on the menu. I ended up trying octopus for the first time because of her and I absolutely loved it! The food overall was good. I took one star away only because we were told we had to wait even with reservations.

The food here is excellent. The shrimp cocktail came on a bed of seaweed and under that was dry ice so it came smoking to the table. I had their salmon with the mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was fantastic. The drinks are good. The view is stellar. Highly recommend this restaurant. It is pricey but worth it.

Melissa treated us nicely and her recommendations were on point. Food was good, oysters wow!! Kusshi and blue point so tasty and fresh. Crab cake was good not my favorite but you know depends on taste so for me was fine. Also crab claws so yummy and the corn bread want and yummy. Very pleased with the view as well. Worth the drive to watch the sunset and the illuminated city.

This place was simply phenomenal. My partner and I visited this gem for an intimate date night. We sat outside and had a perfect view of the Downtown Miami lights and the marina. The food was in delicious hefty portion sizes and our lovely Cuban server Luis was simply amazing! He was attentive, kind and was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great selections of wine and must-haves. The ambiance here was very romantic and definitely set the tone for our evening. I love that the restrooms were clean and lacked nothing. After dinner, we got to take some pictures of this lovely find. We will definitely be back to experience some of the other menu items!

The view of Miami from the restaurant’s terrace is beautiful on a cloudless sunny February afternoon. The cocktails are delicious but overpriced (double). Bottomless mimosas to El Mariachi cocktail made with Mezcal and other ingredients. Really good. My son’s double stack mini burgers tasted good, but the fries were not hot. The grilled octopus also was good with potatoes, pesto and octopus ink. The main dish for two people was a board of salad, one lobster tail, steak, 2 pieces fried chicken, 2 poached eggs, 2 waffles, 2 watermelon wedges. The lobster tail was a bit rubbery, the steak not as tender as expected, the eggs were good as well as ¼ fried chicken. The server was good but service is slow going. Luckily the atmosphere compensated for the delayed kitchen. It was at least a 2 1/4 hours dining experience.

We saw the Rusty Pelican recommended on multiple Miami Vacation Guides on the internet and knew we had to go here as our last dinner in Miami. It was a great choice. Very classy restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. We reserved for 6 and requested a skyline view. While outdoor would've been an extra hour wait, we were given an amazing indoor spot in a corner alcove with large windows and everyone had a great view. The specialty drinks and food were tasty and memorable. We had a couple orders of the "Rusty Pelican Board for Two" at our table and they were huge, and everything on it was delicious.

The best thing about the restaurant is the fabulous view! Drinks and wine excellent and we enjoyed the food. Service was a little slow but polite and friendly. Since we did not have much time we had to stop by for lunch time, definitely Will need to come back for the night views, see you soon! PS. We also had a chance to some of their new additions coming soon, there was this guy showing a dog robot that based in his words will be part of the team, not sure how to attach the video but will try again

We brought an out of town guest for brunch today and sat outside. The ambiance was fantastic. Perfect weather, beautiful day and awesome views. The staff was very busy but professional, personal and attentive. We had the crab cake Benedict, the salmon BLT and the fried chicken and waffles. The food presentation was great. The food taste, temperature and portions were average. With just a little more attention the food could have been perfect. Memorable visit nonetheless and we highly recommend it!

Just had another wonderful dining experience with my daughter this Friday evening! Received excellent service from Nathalie C. She was very professional, warm, and very pleasant. Our dinner was outstanding, and the view from the patio was breathtaking. Very pleased with this visit! I have been going to this restaurant for over 3 decades, and it has never let me down! Thanks!

We visited Rusty Pelican the night prior to boarding a cruise and we were more than surprised! Cynthia was our server and was the first to set the impression of the restaurant. She was very upbeat, helpful and efficient! She went above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. We have traveled all over the world and I can say the flavors of the foods we had were incredible. I definitely suggest making this a stop or a regular dining location!

We came to celebrate our 13 wedding anniversary at Rusty Pelican, which is where we initially got married. We attended brunch, the mimosas were delicious, especially the dragon fruit mimosa. Food was great and our waitress Melissa didn’t steer us wrong when it came to the food and drink recommendations, she was amazing! We will definitely be back more often.

If you come here, make sure to say hey to bartender Frank. Extremely pleasant and friendly, made the best espresso martini and mojito we have ever had. The shrimp cocktail was top 3 and the salmon tartar was a great presentation and flavor. Would come back to try entrees when we have more time. Amazing views

What an amazing place!!! It was my first experience and I loved the food and the atmosphere. Very good for relaxing with friends, family and spouse. I just thought that the waiter took a while to come to the table sometimes; I had to ask another waitress who passed us for a spoon, and ask for the bill to a receptionist (I think!) who was organizing other tables to call the next customers. Other than that, a great experience.

My girls and I went for brunch and had a very nice ocean view. We all enjoyed our food, though it wasn’t 10/10 it was one of the top spots we tried in Miami. The bottomless was definitely worth it with the flavors and they kept us loaded! Our server Luis Rivera was amazing and very helpful in assisting one of my friend with her food discrepancy. Overall 8/10 when considering the food, restaurant and view and our service

Wow!! First words that came out of our mouths when we left the Rusty Pelican-Miami and still talked about the rest of the trip! We couldn't decide on this restaurant or a different one, but the other one had a dress code that we weren't up for at the time. We couldn't have been happier to choose this place instead. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The taste and presentation of the food and drinks was immaculate. The atmosphere was great, and the view was breathtaking. Our server, Melissa, was great from the introduction of her name. She was very knowledgeable of the menu, recommended great items, and was very attentive. This spot was very family-friendly (we had 3 little ones in our group). We will definitely come back here anytime we visit Miami!

Honestly this place was beautiful!!! The Belle drink was delicious. The scallops were divine and the spicy tuna sushi was so fresh. But there was 1 individual(bartender) that went above and beyond my expectation. His name was Bryan. Not only was Bryan extremely mature for his age but his talent for making drinks goes beyond this restaurant. Everything he recommended was spot-on & I'm not easily impressed. My husband and I would love to see where Bryan takes his skills!

Amazing experience and memories. This was our first stop in Miami, dinner celebration for our anniversary. We had a table by the water to enjoy the amazing skyline. Victor was our server and was so amazing. He had amazing rapport with everyone and was very attentive. We tried several items, chicken, filet, NY strip, salmon, Calamari, and our favorite by a mile, Sticky Toffee Pudding. The chefs left us a signed note for our anniversary, which was a nice tough. The ambiance was perfect and we are very happy to have made this our dinner. 10/10 would come back.

Nice place to eat, upscaled. The food, however, not perfect. When I expressed my concerns about very dry and chewy octopus, I was provided with a free dessert, which was really good. The other downside, their valet parking appears to live separate life from the main restaurant, occupying the most of the parking, so leaving you without any feasible options to park. Honestly, I don’t feel comfortable at all, to hand my keys to a person who doesn’t speak English at all, but rather chasing you like a hawk to control if you pay the fee for self-valet parking. View is perfect. Not sure whether would come back for food again, giving negative experience from parking - likely not. Kudos to waitress, her work was impeccable.

Absolutely enjoyed the diverse drink and food options during happy hour, though service could use improvement; waited 30 minutes for cold fries. The staff was warm, and the drinks were perfectly crafted. Beautiful views and great drinks make it a go-to spot after work. Highly recommend!

As always Rusty does not disappoint and the service this time was exceptional!! Of course, the views were what we came for but the cocktails might have stolen the show on this visit. The Daydreamer is a gin and citrus lover’s dream. Awesome!!

Date Night excellent atmosphere, our server Franklin very knowledgeable & amazing server, super helpful great attitude. Also thank you to Anibal the Manager for checking up on us very personable and professional. We had the lobster & shrimp risotto and the seared day boat scallops. The food was delicious, fresh, and great portions. Great presentation! We will be back soon, thank you Rusty Pelican for a great date night.

Overall it was good, it could have been better. The food is average, we thought it was a little too salty. The dessert, the chocolate volcano, arrived at the table with the base a little burnt, surely this does not happen often, we were not lucky. The price-quality comparison is ok, it did not seem expensive to us since we paid for a set of things: the food, the service, the ambience. I must say that the portions are not very abundant, except for the risotto, the other dishes we ordered were a bit small. Be sure to go with time to have a nice view of the beautiful city of Miami. It has valet parking, but I do not recommend it because they stole our iPhone charging cable.

Our waiter, Alberto, was amiable and knowledgeable of the menu. The surf and turf he suggested, lobster red snapper, and NU steak were terrific! The drinks were delicious, and the flavors were like no other. I loved it. Since I was a teenager, I’ve always wanted to come here, and this was one of my best experiences. The wife and I have been to many different restaurants in DC and NY, and this was the best overall.

My family chose RP to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday with a lovely dinner. As always, the ambiance was very warm and welcoming, the food delicious and we had a great time. Our server was Justin, and he was super friendly, helpful and very nice. Lovely time as usual!

Great view with great food and excellent service. Roberto G was great. Kept our drinks full and came through with some excellent recommendations. We almost went a different direction for dessert, but he steered us towards the Date Pudding and it was amazing. We are here on vacation unfortunately can't come here regularly, but trust me we would. Worth it for the view alone if you are a tourist, but the food and service are 5 star in top of that.

First the views, cause that’s what stands out the most. The entire restaurant has amazing views. Outside and in. It is just an absolutely gorgeous ambience. The food was very good. You will pay a high price for it though. I got a non alcoholic drink and it was $10. The burger was like $25. But they aren’t just over charging and then not delivering. The food was very good and the views were just out of this world. I recommend the smash burger and the empanadas.

Amazing time a Rusty Pelican! I came with my four legged family member, Powder. Darwin , our waiter, went above and beyond to make our dining experience extra-special! He made excellent recommendations on the food and wine pairing. Also, extra kudos on his photo taking talents - methodically taking pictures to capture the best angles of us:) Rusty Pelican , Thank you! You have a 5 star team starting with Front Desk staff who were kind, happy and accommodating, Ileana at back office , Darwin, Dahlia who came by to say hi to Powder and the rest of your team, making it a positive and memorable experience for your patrons!

We visited for our anniversary and were not disappointed. Our waitress Valentina was wonderful. We followed all of her recommendations. We started with the grilled octopus. I had the Lobster and Shrimp Risotto and my wife had the grouper. The meal ended with a chocolate lava cake that was divine. The meal and drinks were pricey but worth the atmosphere and quality with such an amazing view of Miami.

Picked this place to celebrate our anniversary while at Key Biscayne. This spot has amazing patio overlooking the downtown skyline. Great selection of wine and awesome sea food. My wife had a sea bass over bed of sweet plantain mesh and I ended up with red snapper. Both amazing. The bar area is good size and serves amazing drinks

We made a reservation for a birthday dinner. Nobody mentioned it throughout the evening though which I would of appreciated. Other than that: AMBIANCE: We loved the backdrop at the entrance and the indoor ambiance. The only downside is that we asked to be seated outside and in comparison to other waterfront restaurants i've been to, there were no fans. Also, the outside decorations were very outdated. The tables had cracks and it didn't feel as luxurious as sitting inside. Also, there was barely space to take pictures with the amazing skyline view unless you were seated right next to the ocean. FOOD: We ordered the deco maki sushi which was very good 5/5. Then we ordered the skirt steak and new York steak which were made exactly how I asked 5/5. The goat cheese Peruvian potatoes were a 3/5 because they were a bit bland and we couldn't taste any goat cheese in it. Now my partner got the lobster and shrimp risotto and made all of us try it and let me tell you it was not good at all. I would probably rate it a 0/5. Very bland and the risotto tasted like they dumped a can of tomato sauce. It did not taste like a risotto at all. Very disappointing since it is a seafood restaurant. DRINKS: We got 2 passion fruit margaritas which were very good 5/5

  • 5/5 Marcus H. 2 years ago on Google
100% points, absolut topped my expectations! Top view, the pictures cannot fetch the atmosphere enough. Food just a dream for seafood lovers. Great wine selection. This place will be on my must visit restaurant whenever in the area. For outside seating think about the sun if you get there earlier, but make sure to use open table. Inside seating looked nice as well especially at the windows.

We had a great experience. The view was incredible and Thomas, our server, did everything he could to make it the best experience possible. We were so pleased between the delicious food (appetizers and lunch) and the way it was presented, along with the service and view that we ended up booking our son’s rehearsal dinner there!

My very first meal in Miami is at the Rusty Pelican. It’s so good! I had the fish taco and it’s delicious! It tasted really refreshing with the mango and papaya and lime salsa. It’s not heavy for brunch. Love the view, get to see boats and even a little green (friendly) lizard. It gets a little hot sitting outdoors. The indoor ambiance is amazing too!

Visiting from Phoenix and my daughter found RP and so glad she did. We had Sunday Brunch and it was amazing. Thomas was our server and he was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Assuring we were enjoying ourselves and that the food was up to our standards. The restaurant is clean and well decorated, the staff are great and friendly. The food…wow! My daughter had the Black Truffle grilled cheese and I had the French toast. Again, Wow! Absolutely delicious!

5,000+ reviews and a 5-star rating for a reason. Fantastic atmosphere by the water and you get to watch boats, jet skis, and a occasional water show that just wraps up the whole experience. 10/10 for ambience. Food is delicious as well, nicely prepared and presentation of food is worth its own value in price alone. Do beware of brunch and their mimosas though, it’s delicious, and if you drink more than 4 glasses you’ll be taken right back to high school being drunk enough to sit by yourself in the car and think about your life choices. These mimosas will kick you into full drunk / hangover of your life all within 5 hours of consumption. 🥂 Expect to pay anywhere from $120-230 for a 2 person party. They do have Valet! Fantastic experience.

My first time here for happy hour with my girls and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Our waiter Adrian was very attentive, knowledgeable of the drink menu and great personality. His service was impeccable and super sweet. The food was very tasteful we order calamari and crab cake. The drinks were strong and delicious. Entreato was also our waiter and great. He was also very attentive also.

The Rusty Pelican was beautiful inside and out. There was a beautiful floral print outside to take pictures. I wanted to eat outside but due to weather we could not. It was extremely cold inside but it other than that I was fine. The wine cellar inside was stunning to look at featuring all the different drinks. The outside view over Key Biscayne was stunning. The server was very knowledgeable of the food and drinks. I ate Octopus, Squid and potatoes it was just right. Well seasoned, not chewy, great temperature, colorful display. The crab cake was just as delicious for an appetizer. I wasn't pleased with the corn as it was to my liking. For dinner I had white fish with melted in my mouth and seasoned broccoli. It was delicious, looking forward to trying it again on another occasion.

This experience was absolutely phenomenal 👏 and all thanks to Thomas, our server. He was beyond friendly, not too entrusive, and loves his job. He went the extra mile and provide great service. Although the food was a bit cold and slightly underseasoned, the overall experience at this restaurant would make me give it another try. The board for two feed our group of 3. What a great way to start a short weekend get away in Miami. Thank you Thomas for representing the Rusty Pelican and for being a great host.

If you get a chance, ask for Mike T as your server. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great first experience in Miami at the Rusty Pelican….and we did! We had an amazing lunch. Alessandro was our server and he was phenomenal. He gave wonderful descriptions of the food and helped me create a custom cocktail that was delicious. The octopus appetizer was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. So tender and flavorful. And the salmon BLT was perfect. Alessandro was very friendly and engaging. He made the entire experience better!

I’m a local resident and hadn’t been to Rusty in over a year mostly due to bad bad service but I received a gift card and decided to give it another shot and I’m so glad I did. Today’s experience definitely changed and erased all previous bad experiences. Jenny at the bar made all the difference! Kudos for having such an amazing asset to your team. The minute I sat down she came over and attended right away; drinks, food. Expeditious service; she provided it all without skipping a beat! How refreshing. My margarita was perfect! Oyster, crab cake & Caesar salad with chicken was PERFECT. What an amazing experience! My day was going well and today your service and quality made it perfect! Jenny is the absolute best!!
