Great music, drinks and atmosphere. Nice place to hang out and dance. Only issue it was just way too hot in there, they need better AC.

Nice little place with the live band going. The drinks are very good but be aware that it is very expensive also. But pretty much everything in little Havana is pretty expensive. Two drinks and an appetizer came out to be about $70.

Really enjoyed the vibe there. Tried the Miami Mule, was so-so. Call me a cooler was full of Mongo flavor and good for those who like fruit cocktail. Also coco Capa, coconut cream flavor, more like a fruit beverage. The old fashion was good. My favorite there. The food was not satisfactory unfortunately. Not a fan of over friend food so didn’t like the food much. Will come and visits again next time to Miami.

Hats off to Robert our great waiter. Delicious mojitos but we didn’t know they were $14 when we ordered them. 🙃 Food was delicious. Music was great! Wish it lasted past 9pm. Such an iconic location and a must for visitors to Miami. This kind couple who are locals bought us a drink just to be nice. 😭 So glad we came!!! 🥰

What an amazing place to hear live music and grab a drink. Anier our bar tender was amazing and very attentive not only to us but other customers as well. I stopped by because of the great live music playing and what a great choice it was. Drinks were great and very tasty. Although, I didn't get anything to eat but from the looks of the food it did look very tasty. I guess next time I will try the food. The atmosphere and vibe was amazing and will definitely come back again. This is a must try if you find yourself in this area. Thank you Ball & Chain !👍💯

Really great place to visit in the Calle Ocho district. Amicable staff, quick service, ambiance is on point with a rustic Cuban/Havana vibe and live music playing. Food was fantastic! Lechón tacos were moist, flour tortilla made the flavors of the pico de gallo and salsa pop a bit more. Parking may be a bit hard to find.

Nice place for dancing. admission is free for woman/man. You only need ID and it might be a line to get inside. They offer DJ + live music singer + dancers It would be lots of paper confetti poppers and cold spark. Drink order in the bar starts at about $20. You can find paid/free parking one block away on the north.

I Had to see the famous ball and chain restaurant in person. Very nice vibes and scenery. Cuban music was bumpin lol it was cool. I was a little to early for happy hour, but I would definitely go back and again. It's a place to bring friends and have a good time or to take a date.

I sat at the bar for 20/minutes before the bartender came over..it was not busy, and several other servers and bartenders saw me sitting there. No one made an attempt to even greet me. When he finally brought me the menu and eventually my food, he didn't speak, smile or anything. No, there was no language barrier, cause my native tongue is Spanish. But otherwise food was great the live band was awesome.

What a great experience for my first time to Little Havana. The live music was rockin with Cuban tunes, and the hosts and servers were top-notch. This place has been open since 1935, serving up Miami with authentic Cuban culture and live music and food. Definitely a must do if you are in Little Havana.

Amazing vibezzzz, we walked in to the sight of a « drug lord swagged » pony tail guy and were immediately transported to Cuba. The smell of cigar caressing our nostrils and the sound of the band playing Cuban classics was sensational. So much so that everyone walking on the street gathered around on the curb and started signing, dancing with drinks in their hands and smiles on their faces. We sat down and enjoyed the show. This was a truly unique and enjoyable moment. If you go to Miami, make sure to visit little Havana and get a few drinks at the Ball and Chain.

Every time I visit Miami, I make sure I visit Ball & Chain. There's always something going on there and on a hot day, their cold, crisp, refreshing Mojitos always hit the spot. It's a perfect place to take a break and hang out. Plenty of opportunities to people watch, listen to music, and get together with friends!

I have recommended this place to many of my VIP clients and finally it was my turn as I was in the country and State. Love the decor. The food was amazing the drinks very very 👍 good. Diana was our server and she was on point. We had a party of 10+ people and she mastered all of it. Bravo Diana SE que no era facil. :Feedback- I am a home grown Miami gal and this place is a have too if your new to Miami or not. Drinks are great and ambience is fun. THE MUSIC is very, very loud We had to leave after the DJ arrived as it seemed to get even louder. I will be back when the back room opens.

I came here for the first of the year and i stopped because of the Live music visible from The street & i discovered there was a happy hour, so we decided to have the drinks and watch the live performances... Simply i loved!!! I get back to my childhood, was very emotional and the man dancing and playing he gives it all!!! Really recommend if you go to Little Havana

Ball & Chain Miami is an absolute must-visit! The atmosphere is electric, with vibrant live music, incredible mojitos, and an overall lively vibe that captures the spirit of Little Havana. The entertainment is top-notch, and the outdoor space is perfect for dancing the night away. As for the food, I’d give it four stars – it’s good, but the real highlight here is the amazing cocktails and the unforgettable ambiance. Whether you're there for the music, the drinks, or just the energy, Ball & Chain is an iconic spot that never disappoints!

Really fun place. Historic latin dance club that largely lives up to it’s name. Excellent Mojito - which they’re known for. Happy Hour was excellent with a Buy-One-Get-One deal on cocktails, beer and wine. We got rightfully buzzy! The music was great - authentic music with really great musicians. We even had a few apps through the night, the Wings and the Guava Pastry were standouts. If you find yourself in Little Havana - make sure to swing in or at least check out the music from the sidewalk!

We visited Ball and chain on a Friday for dinner and drinks. What started as a happy hour and dinner turned into a fun night with the DJ spinning and a great crowd. There was live music throughout the evening which set the tone and had everyone in a great mood. Definitely give Ball and chain a visit when on Calle Ocho.

We came here to celebrate my birthday & I can’t say enough what an amazing evening we had! Anna, our server, was one of the nicest people we met in Miami to start. The spicy margarita was unreal - I had multiple! The elote appetizer was delicious! We did the family style chicken dinner - the portion was a bit small for the price but tasted great! The whole vibe was perfection! Started with live music and then the DJ started at 9pm with then free salsa dance lessons and an all out party! They surprised me with quite the birthday sparklers and confetti canon! It was an amazing night and I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Miami and wanting an all-in-one night out experience!

Nice Cuban/Latin bar in the Little Havana district of Miami. The atmosphere was great with lots of attention to details making one seem like they were in 1930's Havana. The back patio features a giant pineapple band-shell/stage and plenty of room to dance. The drinks selection is extensive and well thought out. The crowd is well heeled and energetic. Overall a good experience.

A taste of old Miami and little Havana wrapped in a time capsule. Service is awfully slow and they forgot our food order. Drinks were just okay but with tax and tip on the expensive side for the area. Too touristy for a return visit for us. UPDATE: Got an invitation to return and SO GLAD we did. Perhaps our first visit was an off day, because yesterday was fabulous. The drinks were top rate and Jessica was an outstanding host. We sat at the back bar and enjoyed the music and the hospitality. The food was excellent. We both enjoyed the Cuban Spring Roll with a tasty mustard aioli. I especially liked the B&C tacos with micro cilantro, spicy aioli and pineapple slaw. Definitely going to keep the Ball and Chain Miami in our rotation. Stop by and ask for Jessica's station, she's great!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at the ball and chain. The DJ was pretty good and they had a couple of live bands also. Everyone there was pretty friendly and we danced all night. The restaurant was not open on this night but we were able to get drinks with no problems. You can also buy a table but if you didn't you have to stand. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Food was excellent, service was okay. We didnt like that they pulled a table from somewhere else and put it right in front ours, turned a nice private table with our friends visiting from Texas into a not so private dining experience. The live music was excellent. A must visit when in Miami, but temper your expectations for your total dining experience.

Really enjoyed the vibe, but there is no denying that this place is designed to capture the tourists. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, however the prices for the drinks and especially cocktails were rather high. You'd be able to complain more if the quality was bad, but that isn't the case, they are very well made and designed drinks which are thematically linked to the area by means of the addition of tobacco leaves and particular types of spirits. The best part of the experience was the live music. I heartily recommend popping by if you visit Calle Ocho.

Great spot for early night, salsa lessons, and dancing, even better spot for late night parties and live music. If you’re looking for a real Miami experience and a wild Havana nights. This is a great spot. We often come here as a warm-up to. La Trove or a late night dance spot after dinner elsewhere. I’ve personally never eaten here, but I hear the food is pretty good.

Did the tourist thing and went to Little Havana. I’m glad I went. The world famous Ball and Chain is definitely famous for good reason. They had a great band, great drinks, great food, and great service. Cannot recommend the B&C Elote enough!! If you’re in Little Havana, stop in. You won’t regret it.

Ball & Chain in Miami is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we were seated, we knew we were in for a special experience. The live Cuban music set the perfect vibe, featuring talented musicians on keyboard and congas, along with a charismatic vocalist who danced with maracas. The energy was infectious and had us all dancing in our seats. Our group indulged in delicious food and drinks throughout the evening. I personally enjoyed an incredible Cuban sandwich that was bursting with flavor, and I washed it down with a few Miami Mules, their refreshing take on the classic Moscow Mule. The combination was perfect and hit the spot. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time. The live music, fantastic food, and inventive drinks all contributed to an unforgettable night. If you’re looking for a place in Miami with great live music, tasty Cuban cuisine, and a lively atmosphere, Ball & Chain is the place to be. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back!

Great! Would recommend to everyone WHO visits little Havanna. We went their by accident as it started to rain heavily. But were suprised very positivly - food was fresh and tasty - food size larger than in many Restaurants - during Happy hour 2x Cocktails (whichbtasted great) for Just 16$ (8$ each) - live music was playing - Service Personal, guests and band made the experience very authentic (and felt Like they didn't play it)

Absolutely fabulous! We went for a late lunch and to experience the famous Ball & Chain. After a wonderful greeting by the host and hostess we were seated at a perfect, intimate, table. Ropa Vieja y un Sandwiche Cubano really hit the spot, authentically prepared with good grades on these mains. We really liked fries with a wonderful lemony coating and of course the black beans were fabulous. Despite being mid afternoon there were many festive guests and very good live music. Food is a bit pricey but you get so much more including a memorable interactive experience. Do not miss out, you will have a great time becoming part of the history of this very important establishment.

Ambiance: The atmosphere was amazing with great music and a lively crowd. Despite the heat outside, I thoroughly enjoyed the moment. Service: The service was prompt and attentive. Wait time: It was busy due to the music drawing people in, but we were lucky to find a seat as we walked in. Food quality: We tried Cuban food for the first time and really liked it. Value for money: Reasonably priced. Location: Convenient and easy to find.

Ball & Chain in Little Havana is a must-visit for live music and great vibes. The atmosphere is lively, with a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the Cuban-inspired decor and vibrant entertainment. Whether you’re there for the live salsa music or just to relax with a mojito, the energy is contagious. It’s a fun spot to experience the heart of Little Havana and soak in the local culture. Perfect for a night out!

I really expected more of this place since it’s well known in Miami. Food was really good but there are some things I really didn’t like. Live music is so loud that you cannot have a decent conversation at all. We did change tables but it was just more of the same. They had those huge doors opened and it’s summer, I guess they want people passing by to listen to the music, but then the air conditioning did nothing for us, it was very hot inside and they don’t even have fans. Very uncomfortable. We were a party of 6. All of us had dinner and drinks. Some of us were still busy with dinner and the waitress came to our table to ask if we were going to order something else. We said that not at the moment. One minute after we got the check while we were still eating. There are better options if you like really like Cuban food, but if you decide to try this place you will need to make a reservation.

We could not have asked for a better venue or a better team to work with for our wedding. Sam worked with us on every step and executed our vision with perfection. Our wedding felt like it was built just for us, rather than just plugging us into a generic formula. Sam was solution-oriented and helped us problem solve for every issue that we ran into. On the day of Shallya was so helpful in ensuring everything flowed smoothly and the DJ was perfect. The food was great, the decor beautiful, and all of our guests were treated like family by the entire staff. I could go on and on about how perfect the venue and staff were for us, but needless to say i cannot say thank you enough to Sam, Shallya, and the entire Ball and Chain staff for helping to ensure our wedding was the best day of our lives.

Nice place to visit but pretty expensive. When you add the “service charge” and then the gratuity and then the Tax it worked out at $23 for two drinks. Still has got an atmosphere and seemed like the happening place in Little Havana

Great atmosphere, live music, friendly staff. However, get ready to pay tourist prices for food. $18.95 for a Cuban Sandwich and fries and gratuity added to bill for a party of 2. Very pricey but can easily overlook due to party atmosphere.

Talk about living it up in Little Havana!!! Ball & Chain is the all in all down south Cuban experience that Miami has to offer. Carlos is gonna take care of all your drink needs at the bar while specializing in their World Famous MOJITO. Wait wait wait... don't for get ur dancing shoes cause they will be a must on the dance floor. Dancers performing on the bar serve as great entertainment while DJ OZZ keeps the vibe incredibly alive. The menu is no disappointment. No regrets here!!! ENJOY!!!

Such a fun event thanks to our lovely CM Farah and Yelp Miami volunteers! Ball n Chain is a well-known club on Calle Ocho and I've been here many times. It's always fun and the live music is always on point. For this event, we got to try some lite bites and sip cocktails. I was really happy that they were serving their famous Calle Ocho Old Fashioned. That's my favorite drink here. As for the bites, I tried the Ceviche Spoon, Ahi Tuna Amarillo, Gouda Croquettes and Short Rib Empanadas. Everything was fresh-made and very tasty. I was definitely obsessed with the croquettes and empanadas. I couldn't stop munching on them but can't be greedy...lol :) The night ended with a salsa class and boy, people were dancing their behinds off. It was so much fun to watch Yelp Elites let their hair down. I really enjoyed this event. The live band was amazing as expected. The food was delicious and the staff hustled all night to make sure everyone was having fun. Definitely, a night to remember!

A great staple of Miami night life. This particular Wednesday woman drink for free until 10 pm. Crowded as anyone would imagine. Karaoke on the back patio was entertaining . I was surprised the bar and dance club closes at 12. Tourists trap comes to mind. The drinks were from 10- 15 each and the Cuban sandwich was around 8.

Recently had a great experience at a Cuban restaurant Ball & Chain in Miami! Cuban tacos are a delicious and unique dish, and Cuban coffee is known for its strong flavor and aroma. Tacos were made with fresh, authentic ingredients, such as Cuban pork, black beans, rice, and pico de gallo. The Cuban coffee was likely brewed with a rich, dark roast of coffee beans and served with sugar. Overall, had lively atmosphere and friendly service.

Stopped by Ball & Chain while exploring Little Havana area in Miami. The live music will grab your attention and make you want to go in, dance and have a good time. Thats exactly what happened to my husband and I - we do not regret it one bit. The ambience is pretty nice and the music was amazing which will force you to hit the dance floor. For drinks, we ordered the tobacco infused old fashioned (my fav drink) and the guava sangria (second fav drink). The cuban old fashioned was something I never tasted and it was fantastic. The tobacco flavors were mild not overpowering the alcohol at all instead just elevating the drink to another level. The guava sangria was refreshing and tasted divine too. Service was great and mind you they charge 20% tip in your check so take note. Fantastic environment and all in all we had a fun time here and will be back again for sure. Highly recommend.

This Cuban restaurant & bar is highly suggested when your exploring Little Havana. They have such a great atmosphere; very cultural and you can really feel the richness of their culture and they have live bands playing amazing cultural music. Ordered few drinks, quesadillas and this unique homemade fried plantain. I love eating plantain fritters but never seen this type of presentation.

I stopped by with my friend last night, I had one of the worst experience, place was almost empty at that time, bartender (Roger, we asked for his name) was had a rude attitude with us. We ordered 3 mojitos, after service he hand the bill and we planned spent a little time in there, about 10 min he, with a bad attitude, very rude ask when we go to pay it; we told him we weren’t leaving and he said almost yelling us if we planned to stay we from the bugging hand a card to open the tap. First of all, in a polite way he should asked us from the bogging, we don’t know house rules. Bottom line I’m very disappointed with services and staff attitude; I’m flight attendant and many time passengers ask recommendations, remember “the best comercial for a place of customer feed back” and now on I will share my experience when people ask about that place. I recommend you train your staff.
