It's free admission the first Saturday of every month. It's two floors, elevator access. The have a Andy Warhol excibit which is cool plus much more art. The have an indoor/outdoor cafe with beautiful view of the ocean. You can walk the outside grounds and enjoy the ocean view and take pics of sculptures. It's a good family fun time. You can eat at the cafe or bring your own picnic. One thing I always look for in public places is a clean bathroom and theirs was super clean. Highly Recommend

As a devoted art lover and artist myself I was quite disappointed in the selection of art at this museum. Because Miami is also the host city for Art Basel Show I expected Perez Art Museum to have a vibrant selection of art. Overall the museum’s selection of art is more about philosophy and social context rather than about artistry or aesthetic value. The space of the museum seems to be amazing community place because it offers areas for screenings as well as entire floor for educational purposes. I would definitely love to participate in museum’s life if I were a resident of Miami. Another moment that caught my eye is the lack of the ethnic diversity among security guards of the museum. Maybe it was just a shift on that day, but if not you will notice it too when visiting. My recommendation to fellow art lovers is to visit the museum and support contemporary art community, but avoid high expectations.

Great place to visit it is very nice, organized and very innovative. The art pieces are very nice and interesting. They also have a great restaurant and a bar with nice products and food prices. The parking price is a flat rate $18. You also can go on the second Saturday of each month and enter for free.

I would like to give it 3.5 stars because although the content (art) of the museum was impressive, the size of the building revealed little art. Two floors with art very spread out. There was a section closed off that won't be open until April 15th. Nonetheless you be in and out in 1hr. I expected more. The cost without discounts could be considered not a value. But some of the pieces were very impressive. The location right off the bay, gov't. cut, boats (ships), bridge, etc. makes it a worthwhile trip. Building and grounds impressive. It's right next to Frost Museum (don't miss that). The museum has a cafe and bookstore. Parking flat fee $15. Not crowded which I liked the most. Masks and social distancing encouraged.

I have wanted to visit the Perez museum for a long time. We finally made a decision to go at the end of the summer on 8/27/23 to see the Yayoi Kusama LOVE IS CALLING exhibit with the infinity mirrors. It was amazing! The Perez Art Museum is not overly large and is easy to maneuver through. It doesn't take all day to see. The entrance fee was $16.00 per person and $20.00 for parking in a garage. There are plenty of seats to sit down at if you get tired. It is a beautiful waterfront museum next to the arena downtown Miami, so you can view the Biscayne Bay with all the boats going by. There is a small place to get some food also. Our two favorite exhibits were the Leandro Liminal pool, where you go under the water and you can see the people and museum above you and they are looking down at you! Our other fave was Kusama's kaleidoscopic infinity mirror room with the polka dotted colorful flowers that she is known for worldwide. This experience was incredible and well worth seeing.

The museum is unique and interesting from the outside. The building had many points of visual interest with plants all over. The interior is open and bright. The staff are friendly and helpful. The galleries are well laid out and cohesively curated. The flow is dictated by COVID precautions but adds to the continuity of the experience. The museum presents works by people of differing backgrounds and perspectives. This broadens the appeal and deepens a well rounded visit for guests. Outdoor and indoor spaces are incredible. When you arrive at the museum you see lush plants and plenty of shade. There are spots with water views with plenty of shaded seats. There is a cafe for drinks and or food. The museum store has an impressive selection of quality items. I personally liked the vinyl sold in a partnership between Miami local shop Sweat Records in Little Haiti and PAMM. There is a variety of various artists like Clarence Reid with varying presses - some color. A neat find to help support local and take a PAMM memento home.

this is a great museum! when we went, they had an egyptian exhibit that was pretty neat. the theme was mummification (natural vs ceremonial) and the displays were nicely curated and there’s some nice interactive content. the aquarium is easily the centerpiece of this museum. there’s three levels to it. at the very top, you can see stingrays and hammerhead sharks from a top-down view. there’s also an aviary and some other animals like tortoises and caymans. the lower levels give you a nice peek into the aquarium from different angles. there’s a cafe, a planetarium, and a gift shop! there’s a lot of other stuff sprinkled within the museum, i recommend it.

The museum has a very special permanent collection that is primarily focus on modern art work. The exhibition spaces are very roomy with plenty of space to sit and contemplate the pieces on the walls. The only thing I did not love is that the visit felt short, almost as if there were not that many things to see.

We enjoyed the museum! Nice exhibits. Nice facility. The Verde was good too! On the other hand, we bought some items at the gift shop and that was a suspect interaction. As soon as we picked up an item, the sales attendant came over to us and offered to place our item behind the counter. It's a nice gesture, but that "service" wasn't offered to any of the other customers who had items in their hands. I felt singled out to say the least. The parking was also a weird interaction. The garage was full and the attendants were letting 1 car out 1 car in. We were up next to go in once another car came out but the garage attendant approached us and told us to park somewhere else because the garage was full. We said we would wait until a car came out, and she told us we couldn't wait and that we had to move. Well, by time she finished explaining that, a car pulled out. If she was trying to avoid a line building up (which I get), she should have went a few cars back and told them to go. If we would have moved, then the car behind us would have went in and that would not have been fair... But anyway ... Get there early for parking.

I love this museum although I didn't get to go inside as the day I went was a Tuesday, it wasn't open. I got to enjoy the art pieces outside which made me very happy. I got some good photos for Instagram. Great place for photos!

I brought my 12th grade class to Perez Museum and it was a fabulous, informative and inspiring trip! The students were so engaged In Everything that Lori, our guide, taught us. She helped the students think out of the box, and got all of us to view art in a more open, intellectual and gut moving way! The art is powerful and placed in an environment that enhances the sculptures and paintings and photographs and allows the works to breathe. Very impactful! We are scheduling a return trip! A MUST SEE!

More than 15 galleries. Good balance of artwork of various mediums and styles. Refreshing art quality and curation. The staff here is helpful. The area around the museum is also beautiful. Well worth a stroll or meal at the cafe. Part of Bank of America first weekend of the month.

Such a great experience. The best museum we went to while in Miami by far. I like the variety of art/exhibits! I wouldn’t recommend parking in their garage since it’s $18 unless you plan on staying for at least 3 hrs. We parked on the other side in a public parking lot for $5/hr.

Wonderful variety of pieces and easy to get around. Loved the outdoor collection of feline and canine sculptures, and the building itself. Staff we dealt with were knowledgeable and helped make our visit a little bit more special. One note...I've been to museums in different parts of the world and this was the first time I've seen so many security guards. Off putting and distracting. They barked at you (specifically a few children) if you got too close to the works. They were an art installation all on their own lol. Well worth the trip if you have a few hours to spare.

I had a wonderful time at this museum. The kids had some up and downs. My family participated in the mastercard private tour. The tour had no age recommendations, it was great for adults, definitely not for kids. We enjoyed 10 minutes on the private balcony with a wonderful view. And drink and snack at the verde Cafe. Parking is also included. I absolutely fell in love with the building, it's so beautifully situated by the water. We did not dine in the restaurant, outdoor dining was full. But we grabbed our drink from the Cafe and enjoyed the outdoor space and the view. There are also 2 fun double hammocks/ swings. The art is limited or I think they've found their niche. I was intrigued by a lot of things I saw here which I was not exposed to in big and well know museums. I definitely would recommend anyone to checking out Perez and enjoy the full indoor and outdoor experience! Check out the science museum next door! Amazing as well!

The museum is in a great location. You can walk around the area and see government cut. They have a Resturant there which it looked like people enjoyed. The gift store has a nice variety and really nice people. The whole museum takes 20 minutes. Half of it was closed so maybe it’s better other times? The parking was a mess. Most of its dead end parking which makes headaches with traffic. We were covered in mud. Dodging potholes. Rocks in shoes. Car needed a car wash. We were at the museum for 30 minutes total and paid $20 for a muddy mess. Then another $20 to wash the car.

The building is beautiful on the outside, pretty average on the inside in my opinion. The art/Exhibit that they had are very good, but unless you are slow as a turtle — You shouldn’t be here even longer than maybe 40 minutes. Pretty unacceptable for a building this big. Style over substance strikes Miami again. Since my wife and I don’t have Membership to the museum. General admission is $16 per ticket. A bit much in my view, seeing as you’ll have to pay about $10 dollars minimum for parking. Go once and maybe comeback once a year after that…🤷🏾‍♂️

Good museum with stunning architecture and greenery. Great for a cultural day in Miami. There is also a good restaurant and cafe located on the property. The museum is integrated with the park which is very nice, one can take a stroll around outside after visiting the exhibitions in the museum.

The museum had a lot of art surrounding racial and ethnic commentary, which I thought was actually quite good. But there isn't actually that much to see. I couldn't get a ticket to Kusama, so I just saw their regular exhibits. I was probably done within 45mins

The PAMM has found its favorite guest. Small enough to complete in one visit, large enough to host several focused exhibits. The pieces are thoughtful and curated well, and our tour guide was interesting, knowledgeable, and engaging.

Hands down one of the coolest exhibits I’ve ever been to was the Leandro Eldrich. Very cool and gives optical illusions. In my opinion they undercharge you at $16/each ticket. The architecture of the building itself is art. Absolutely the coolest.

Allied with Power showcases a wide range of practices and thematics, including abstraction, representation, politics, spirituality, and race. Collapsing national borders, the artists in the exhibition ally with power, representing a kaleidoscope of voices that declare their authority. MUST SEE

Spent a lovely afternoon visiting the different exhibitions. The gift shop has products for every age. We tried to grab a coffee at Verde but it was closed due to an upcoming event. There is a path to walk along the water. The Frost museum is right beside it, you can do both on the same day!

First time visiting this museum and it was beautiful! The exhibit had many rooms focusing a lot on illusions. I love this type of art. We enjoyed it immensely. The restaurant attached to the museum is also delicious! 10/10 would recommend going right when it opens because it gets very busy, then grab a coffee and lunch at their restaurant.

Only takes about an hour to walk through. Just make sure you hit the pool outside by the water and walk the path back to the Miami Dade arena. Great time and only costs$16. Free for veterans and seniors. Great locations has several amenities including restaurant and lots of places to relax or swing and enjoy half of a Sunday. Highly recommend. Lots of other art museums in the area as well

This art museum on Miami’s waterfront showcases international modern and contemporary art. There is a $16 admission fee, which is appropriate for a facility of this size. There are also large-scale sculptures outside the building that can be viewed at no cost. There is a delightful outdoor sculpture walk featuring dogs and cats that was delighting young children when I visited.

Beautiful museum. Architecture of this building is amazingly beautiful. However, exhibition was little bit disappointing. I can't understand their policy not allowing photography or videography beside using cell phone (nothing to film to be honest) I will give a shot again with another exhibition in the future.

This was such a wonderful place to visit. The Liminal experience was much more than expected. I am not a huge museum goer, but my daughter really wanted to go, and I'm glad we did. The only disappointment was that the pool exhibit was closed due to the weather. Also, the cost was very manageable. Then there were some really beautiful sculptures just outside the museum as well. Just a marvelous experience overall!

We loved it!! Of course exhibits change but we had a great time with their current exhibits. Get there early it gets busy and full. Parking is a mission but more across the street. It’s big so it takes time to go through. They have kids section to do artwork on Saturday. They have a restaurant and sell drinks and snacks their to.

I had a lovely visit here. The views and exterior of the building are beautiful, and the exhibits are worth seeing! Lots of interactive pieces, and the staff are wonderful and help you understand how to see/experience the interactive artwork! When we went, the pool exhibit was under construction, however the yayoi kusama exhibit was great (and didn’t cost extra) though you have to enter with other people. The entire building interior is amazing and I also loved the live artist.

This museum is so contemporary. I love it how it is never the same when I come back to visit. Also, the Latin American artists that find a way to enter here are amazing. A must if you come to Miami.

In the heart of all the hustle and bustle that is downtown Miami, the Perez Art museum building does not stand out. But it's not what's outside that interesting inside is where the action is. Art you can be a part of, yes you can touch some of them and even put your whole self in it! Illusions that might have you walking straight in a mirror or wall , that is the best fun of all. It was an honor to see a Kehinde Wiley piece in person , it definitely changed my perspective on the media he used. Overall, my experience was fulfilling and entertaining. To all my veterans, this place is free for you and a guest as long as you have your VA ID.

EH. Skip it. For the price ($16 per ticket + $18 flat parking) it’s not worth it. It looks huge from the outside but there really isn’t much inside that’s captivating. A couple of cool things but that’s it, other things are just meta and artsy.

  • 3/5 Kathy A. 2 years ago on Google
The location is wonderful. Beautiful grounds outdoors to sit and gaze at the bay and a lovely place to have a snack or eat lunch outside at the museum restaurant. The building is pretty cool, although it looks like many of the upside down trees are not thriving. We were disappointed by the art collection. Art of course is a very individual thing but for us much of what we saw was unremarkable.

  • 4/5 Liam M. 2 years ago on Google
This museum's architecture is a definite treat for the eyes, and with big open interior spaces and minimal corridors, I get to really focus on the art while still taking in how the space interacts with it. As for the art? You have some real gems in there, especially some surreal art and the exhibition consisting of black artists. However, I can't get into some of the art that requires a lengthy description for proper interpretation... but such is the deal with modern art (-_-) The live music they sometimes host at the patio is awesome too. In late 2019 I saw Men I Trust there, what a time. 8/10

This place is a hidden gem. First time going to the restaurant Verde. But I plan on coming back to tour and visit the Frost Museum. The view is AMAZING!!! A little slice of heaven on earth. A place to go and relax, eat good food and walk near the water's edge. Not that busy fort lauderdale strip. Peace, tranquility and just quietness in abundance. AMAZING!

I really wish we would have went to the science museum instead. Unless you're a true art fanatic, I'm not sure this place is for you. Much of the art here is too complex or abstract for the common person to understand. You must pay$15 for parking in a garage with more potholes than the entire state of Oklahoma. The facility was clean, large and well staffed with some neat places to hang out, particularly outside.

Better to buy a membership this place is great plus it gives you entrance to all 1000 museums around the United States so it’s worth it it also gives you discounts I’m parking food and gift shop you won’t be disappointed with this amazing museum and the setting in Miami will be a memorable one you can even see the cruise ships leaving Port if you come at the right time what an amazing sight to see

  • 4/5 Vanina G. 1 year ago on Google
Found the museum very interesting and beautiful. A lot of the artwork requires you to read the description since the art, at first glance, might seem a little uninspiring at first. Gave it 4 stars because the workers there were very rude. Followed me and my boyfriend around as we looked at the art and told us not to touch the artwork even though we weren’t. The experience could’ve been more inviting because of the employees but overall if you come here for the artwork you will have a good time

The Perez Art Museum, is the modern art museum of Miami. The coolest and most inspirational artists have expositions here. Tickets can go from $16 at the museum to $86 on other third party websites. But you can get in for free every second Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm. The museum is on the water front directly on Biscayne Bay, and has one of the most amazing views of the Port of Miami. A great place to spend the day and have a quality time. Lots of unique finds at the gift shop.

Beautiful museum... Great interactive and 'no touch' exhibits. Affordable entry for a nice afternoon with the family (residents can look for museum passes or special days for free entrance). Take a walk through the park before or after your visit, dog/cat walk to extend the artistic experience, views of government cut where the cruises dock! Keep your eyes open for dolphins! :)

I recently visited a beautiful museum in Miami and was absolutely blown away by the colorful artwork and modern exhibits on display. The Latin sense infused in all of the pieces was truly captivating, and I found myself completely lost in the peaceful atmosphere of the museum. The way each piece was displayed was truly unique and engaging, allowing me to fully absorb and get inspired by every exhibit. I even found myself becoming emotional while admiring a stunning sculpture of two people saying goodbye. Overall, I loved every moment of my visit and can't wait to return to this wonderful and inspiring place.

Really nice place to come and chill with your friends or partner. Also good spot to fly your drone if you have one (be aware is in a warning zone, so don’t fly higher than 120 meters). In this spot you will find a museum, a coffee shop and lots of space to chill. It is always very clean, almost no homeless people. Great for kids and/or going for a run too.

Thinking of visiting here? Do it. Not sure if you’ll enjoy an art museum? You will. Don’t think it’s worth a ticket price? Think again, it is. The PAMM has a fantastic permanent collection and special exhibits with truly unique art. The museum is a manageable size, and the building is architecturally interesting as well. We encountered participatory installations and perception-bending experiences in addition to the normally-expected paintings and sculptures. It was a joy to explore here. Be sure to see if you qualify for free entry (for example, Florida educators just need to show a school ID for free admission!). We went on a Saturday, and although it was busy, the glass never felt crowded or cramped. Parking will run you $18, so walk or take the metromover if possible. All in all, I would recommend this museum to anyone!

Beautiful museum with good modern art as part of their collection. Worth visiting - checkout the special exhibitions as well. If possible go by public transport as the parking costs more than the ticket and it is not that easy to find a slot.
