We went to the Miami children's museum on a busy Saturday, It was very crowded and unenjoyable. There are multiple families attempting to allow their children to play in the small rooms. This normally wouldn't be an issue but due to Covid guidelines, people were not standing 6 ft apart but were instead forced to stand shoulder to shoulder with each other . Another issue that I had, was that children were left unattended and allowed to roam around the museum by themselves. This rule does not seem to be strictly enforced by the employees. In fact, I only saw a few employees walking around the museum during my two hours there; which I found to be odd. I also found it surprising that parents allowed their children to behave inappropriately and snatch toys from other children. Unfortunately, this occurred multiple times during our visit. Some parents were so focused on their phones that they did not adequately supervise their children. Other parents were so focused on getting the perfect picture of their child that they would physically block children from entering certain attractions (picture attached below). We also visited the museum on a Tuesday morning and it was a vastly different experience. The place was clean and you could actually enjoy each of the playrooms. It was not as busy/crowded. For the most part, the families that were present were attentive to other children. I would recommend visiting the museum on a weekday morning if possible. I would never recommend visiting this museum on a weekend.

in general great place to go with kids. they had real fun! little worned out, some things doesn't work, and tickets for parents should be cheaper - why discouraging from entire-family trips?

This place js absolutely overran with happy kids. The environment is upbeat and happy, and there are tons of experiences for the kids. Currently, their hours of operation are set for two time slots, so please check that before heading over there. There are different interactive rooms to give the kiddos an optimal experience in said occupation. For example. There is a fire department room, an animal care center, and a police department room as well. Pls pack your patience

This museum is great for the younger kids. Lots of hands on activities to explore. The best part for us was the quiet room, when our sensory sensitive child became overwhelmed with the chaos and noise, it was a great place to relax. I highly encourage all parents to please understand this room is here for a reason. Please don’t let your children run in and start screaming at the lights and bubbles as it defeats the purpose of the room. In the 10 minutes we sat in the room we had no less than 5 kids come in screaming because they thought it was cool. We probably could have been relaxed after 3 minutes if that hadn’t happened.

I’m so conflicted about this review because I think this museum can have great potential! Our 1 year old enjoyed his time but so many things could be improved/changed here Pros: - Cool exhibits - Friendly staff members -Clean bathrooms -Dr Seuss area with books for children to whine down -Different themed events throughout the year - Plenty of hand sanitizer stations all in working order Cons/things to be improved: - From the moment we entered until the moment we left we were all sweating! It was hotter inside than it was outside, it honestly makes me not want to go back at all - Some toys were out of order - Parking is not free, even if you’re a member. - There’s no cafeteria or place indoors where you can eat your food other than a tiny Subway. I can’t imagine going during the summer months and having to not only bring a packed launch but having to eat it in the Scorching heat outside with no fans/ shaded area! - A covered splash pad/zone area would be incredible and little ones would go crazy for it - Earlier opening times. By 10am we’ve already lived 3 lives with our son and other family with kids agree I really wanted to love it but it just isn’t quite there yet unfortunately

Our two year old daughter loved the facility and had so much fun. We were very impressed by the first floor however the second felt a little out dated. Several Second floor exhibits did not work well. We get this is a kids facility & understand the stations are used probably more than desired. We appreciated the sanitizing stations and really enjoyed the art activity. Outdoor play area was under construction so no place to play and get fresh air we did take pictures at the front which our daughter very much enjoyed.

Last time I visited this museum I was a child. Currently the museum is adding some extra fun water play activities for outside. (It’s very much needed for the summer.) This museum has two time slots you can reserve online, 10am-1:30pm and 2:30pm-6pm. This gives the staff time in between play session to clean and sanitize the rooms. I think that’s great because you can definitely explore each area way before the time is up. Also serves as crowd control. I’m going during the summer so there is a lot more kids than usual because of summer camp. The museum was very loud and hectic and I ended up taking the girls to the quiet room where we had to collect ourselves from the rowdiness of the kids. There are a lot of things to touch and play with at the museum, lots of hands on activities which is great. The kids can put on costumes that are hanging on some hooks to feel more like a firefighter, police officer or baker. We went while there was the Curious George exhibit which was nice (I’m not a huge fan) but it was a lot of interactive things to do. They also have a playground for older kids. I didn’t take the kids out because of the amount of summer camp kids but it looked fun. Inside of the museum there is a Subway by the entrance and gift shop. They also have a medium sized fish tank with almost nothing in there. It was all around alright. The kids had fun but I really don’t see myself taking the kids more than once a year. I feel like the music section should be repaired because they have a piano floor but not all the keys work. In another music room, the selections for the sounds of music didn’t work either. Staff was okay, very helpful entrance staff. Everyone else walking around didn’t really ask if I needed help or explained much to the kids. Parking is not free, you need the Pay by Phone app and for 3 hours I paid $8.

My 9 year old enjoyed herself but I think kids 10+ might find it a little boring. The museum was stimulating and fun with a great balance of exhibits and hands-on crafts and workshops kids could join in on. Reminded me a lot of wanna do city. However, as a parent, I noticed several attractions were dusty, visibly worn, or broken. For example the Curious George room had an area for building pinwheels with little sticks which was missing pieces for use, the veterinarian room had stuffed animals you could "treat" that had matted fur from all the use, the karaoke room screen populated a "file not supported" message when we tried songs offered to sing along to, or the music room where you could step on instruments to create a symphony but some buttons sounded like toys with dying batteries. Smaller children don't really care if the piano you can stomp on doesn't sound right, but older kids will probably be too cool for the attractions here.

Great children's museum. I wish I would have taken my kids here sooner. It is currently setup with two hour visits, so make sure to book your slot ahead of time. There were so many things to do, that we only got through two thirds of the piece on our first visit. Multiple visits are necessary if you want to experience everything. There are picnic tables outside. It is a good idea to bring some food to feed kids either before or after your visit. My kids love it here.

I took my kids for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised at how much they enjoyed it! They were not bored for a second. You have to reserve a 2 hour block because the museum closes periodically to clean. The only bummer was that 2 hours wasn't quite enough time. We were kind of rushing through towards the end trying to see everything and we didn't really get to spend any time in the art section. But overall it was a good visit and my kids said they had fun!

Love the multiple levels and plenty of options for kids for different age ranges. My kids really liked the ocean wall where you can scan your name on a colored fish, that swims around the wall. Exercise machines, supermarket, fishing, and sensory room for little kids, was also a hit. I especially liked their cruise ship exhibit. Parking is $2/hour. The only part I didn’t like was that they only have two hour blocks. Unless you time it perfectly, you’re going to be there 1-1.5 hours only at a time. They need to have at least 3 hour blocks. Family membership was reasonable at around $150.

My girls truly love this place. It does get packed and I wish we could be there all day but it’s a perfect place to have your kids explore, create and pretend. They should have another restaurant aside from subway inside the museum. Or a little coffee for the parents. 😉

This is basically a massive play area disguised as a museum. It's great place to bring kids from all ages, but its definitely geared towards younger kids. Definitely a great place to visit if the weather is less than ideal!

Incredible museum! My husband and I brought our 4 year old for her birthday and she LOVED it. We had the best time. There is so much to do! There are so many hands on experiences for kids here, and she had the best time. There is a bank, veterinarian office, cruise ship, grocery store, construction/building area, music, arts, I can't think of anything they didn't have. This is by far the most interactive children's museum we have ever been too.

This is my new favorite place to take my kids. I have a one and two year old with number 3 on the way and I’m always trying to find places to keep them entertained where they can expend some energy. This place keeps them entertained for hours and it’s huge with many areas for the kids to discover and explore. The staff are incredibly nice and great with the kids. They have themes each month and have daily activities at different times, which they provide each time you go with a map. Great place for learning and development. We bought the annual membership, which is extremely reasonably priced compared to all the other museums and indoor playgrounds in the area - and to me, absolutely worth every penny. Parking is $2 per hour, so, also not bad at all either.

I recently visited a children's museum that left a lasting impression. The indoor facilities are exceptionally well-designed for children aged 2 to 6, featuring incredibly creative and interactive spaces. The environment is family-friendly and secure. The ongoing remodeling of the outdoor area, although currently under maintenance, instills high expectations for its future appeal. The museum offers ample space for additional outdoor playgrounds, and the parking rates are reasonable. -Furthermore, the presence of in-house bathrooms and a well-stocked gift shop with educational games for all ages adds to the overall immersive family experience.

we paid for 3 hours and then 20 mins after the parking expires which usually we get a reminder on our phone to add time, since there is no service we never got the reminder but we got out only 20 mins and had a 46$ ticket. horrible. its cute but not worth the entrance fee most of the exhibits are very used. but overall cute. wouldn't go again though.

If you're looking for something fun to do with kids on a gray day in Miami, I highly recommend the Miami Children's Museum. We went in the afternoon around 3-4pm and spent the entire afternoon there. It was a great day of fun and learning for the kids. They got to experience different jobs like being a firefighter, veterinarian, construction worker, fisherman, supermarket cashier, and more. One thing to keep in mind is that we couldn't go outside, although I don't recall the reason for that. Also, it's a good idea to bring some snacks to keep the kids fueled throughout the day. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Miami Children's Museum to anyone with kids. It's a great way to spend a day indoors, and the kids will have a blast while learning at the same time.

My 31/2 y/o loved this place. It's only two hours they give you inside. We weren't able to finish the second floor. Next time we take him, we will start from there. I will definitely go back. This are a few pics we took.

This is a cute facility that seems small, but offers surprises around every corner. Just when you think there is nothing else to see, there is a new direction to explore. We paid for the sand blasted glass project, and the kids really enjoyed making their own designs and seeing how it comes out. We also participated in the art studio. For Hispanic history month we turned photos of Latin celebrities into art with our own flare. It was a great time.

Kids paradise in Miami. It was easy to follow, very entertaining for children. I would say toddlers would love this but older kids too as I saw many there. Even parents will enjoy it because theres a lot to see and do. Worth the 12 dollars I think we paid per adult.

Wasn’t sure it would be worth it but it really is. Best for younger kids. The 2-hour window to visit is just not enough and we will definitely be back. There is so much to do like grocery shop, play with blocks and simple machines, fire truck and pretend to be a veterinarian! My kids loved it!

Great to keep kids entertained and learn, only thing that would make it better would be if they added things for bigger kids, my son is 6 and he told me he had fun but that everything was more likely for younger kids.

I recently took my child to the Miami Children's Museum, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this was a place designed for kids to have fun and learn at the same time. The museum's interactive exhibits are fantastic. My child particularly enjoyed pretending to be a doctor, a veterinarian, and a musician. The variety of activities allowed them to explore different roles and professions in a hands-on way, sparking their imagination and curiosity. What impressed me most was how seamlessly the museum integrated play with learning. While my child was having a blast, they were also absorbing valuable knowledge about various subjects, from science to music to healthcare. It's a testament to the museum's dedication to providing an enriching experience for young visitors. Overall, I highly recommend the Miami Children's Museum to any parent looking for a fun and educational outing for their kids.

The actual museum is clean, well maintained and has tons of very cool exhibits for all ages. “Fitness center” was pretty beat up and old, but the other rooms were nice. The construction outside and especially the entrance is really awful and does not represent the museum well. Especially when we tried to get lunch at Subway (why is there a Subway anyway? How about child friendly meals in a cafe with coffee for parents?) and was told there were 40 pizzas to be made so we would have to wait an hour to order food. ???????? Still would recommend, just wait for construction to be done and bring your own lunch.

Way too crowded. I feel if they are going to limit our time to only two hours, they should limit the people because since there’s so many people you don’t have time to see everything. And honestly I think it’s ridiculous that adults have to pay when it’s for the children. Besides it being so crowded even with the pandemic still going on, everything else was fine. Also Price could’ve been cheaper.

This place was awesome, much better than the one in Tampa. My two sons enjoyed it and so did my wife and I. I would literally make the drive from Tampa to go again. Also the merchandise at the gift shop was even reasonable. My son loved his plushy he got and my other son got some ooze or puddy. All and all it was very organized and just a fun experience for us all. They had so many exhibits, parking was very easy and not far from the building. We will definitely be back

A great experience for little kids that can focus. Come ready to hop around and run from station to station. Be patience with the little ones it can be exciting, overwhelming and just a bunch of non stop fun. Do a trial run before you invest in a membership. Have fun and have snacks ready for after. 🥳

Great childrens museum all around. A good variety of activities for a range of ages. Musical, sensory, mechanical, climbing. The two hour limit felt rushed but plenty of time in the end. No beer for sale. BYOB.

Wonderful experience for the children. Plenty to do (slide, arts and crafts, picture photos, etc). The fitness room and community jobs was exciting. The glow party was the place to be. My grans loved it!!! P.S. Watch out in that gift shop, check your receipt BEFORE you leave.

Construction in courtyard but inside was amazing. Took my nephew here, and he had a blast. We arrived at 10 and stayed until 12ish. That was plenty of time for him to do all of the exhibits more than once. Definitely recommend this, especially if you want a break from the Miami heat!!

A good size and very fun interactive Kid's Museum that was a huge hit for our three youngest kids. Unfortunately we got there right as three buses of kids poured in which we weren't expecting at the end of June. Other than that, it was a great experience and our kids had a blast!

It was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend to take your children. They will have the best time and there are plenty of activities to do. If you don't need a stroller, leave it in the car, we didn't use it once. Your children will get to interact with many different things and other children as well. Lots of good picture moments!
