A breathtaking venue that really captures the importance of the Cuban story and struggles that have made Miami into what it is today. The collection of paintings are beautifully displayed in a way that truly expresses the culture of Miami that I craved to learn about and immerse myself in during my Miami visit. The story of the museum is inspiring and I only wish that more people knew about all of its treasures! Thank you to Michael Tome (the Guidefather), a local guide who helped me discover this location 😊

This Museum and Performing Arts Center with the bar is truly fantastic. I highly recommend that you take the time out to visit the Cuban district and experience this Museum come bar in the evening and in the daytime so you can clearly see the thousands of artifacts this owner has collected and put on display. Every single item in here is absolutely fascinating and I cannot imagine the amount of work and determination it took on the part of the owner to put this whole place together. I believe if you're interested many items on display are also for sale. The Cuban coffee here is excellent the bar drinks are acceptable. On certain nights the Museum also hosts dancing lessons for various let you know dance styles. A cup of Cuban espresso cost $3. Don't forget to view the tables outside in the hallway but be warned that there's heavy cigar smoking if you decide to stay outside on the tables.

Although parking is difficult to find (and not free on the main street), we stop here every time we are in Little Havana for the “last drink” before heading home. It’s a big place with a full bar and a big room for live music bands (and dancing). What I love about it though is that the entire place is like an art gallery: you see (Cuban) paintings everywhere, even on the ceiling, and some tables are artistic creations! They also have some tables outside, and sometimes live music: it’s here where we usually like to sit, enjoy a cigar, a few drinks (we never ordered food here) and… people watching!

This was by far the best experience we had in Little Havana on our weekend of fun. We happened to hear the music nearby so we walked in and sat down. The service was so friendly and inefficient. We enjoyed the delicious strawberry margaritas. I was so excited because I had asked other restaurants in this area but none of them carried it. My friend had a delicious mango margarita. Our server, Kathy, was so friendly and such a beautiful person inside and out. She and other people here make this place special along with the art and the amazing bands that rotate through in the evening.

Good service, good food, great drinks! Bands and shows every weekend, some of weekdays too. It’s a museum-live music venue. Definitely fun and complete experience.

This place was so much fun. Older crowd looking for some joyful music. Live salsa music that just made you wanna dance. The service was friendly and polite. Overall a great place to sit and relax or dance the evening away.

A very cool bar and art gallery. We ent at Friday lunch time and it was dead, however I could imagine how much fun it would be when it’s more lively.

Beautiful Art work and show performances. The vibe is quite cool and full of culture. The bar has a great variety of drinks. A bit pricey but worth it. Must visit.

We actually only got into the place hiding from the rain, but happy we did! It had a very festive friendly atmosphere with a band playing and people dancing. Only had a drink, so cannot comment on the food, but I loved the colorful bar. Friends were waiting for us elsewhere, so too bad we had to leave this place too quickly!

This is my favourite place for live Cuban music. It’s very eclectic, lively and is also a museum. There were so many paintings and art installations across which really added to the ambience. There is also a small dance floor where people were dancing Salsa.

Nice place to dance some salsa, I had a piña colada and was amazing. The other drinks (as mojito) were bad.

Great music. We ordered a round of drinks, and wanted to get glasses of water for our 2 thirsty little kids. The staff told us we couldn't have glasses of water. Please be environmentally friendly. We would of stayed and easily spent $100, but we're offended by the inhospitable attitude, and our kids were crying for water.

We had a locals day out in Miami, and ended up at Cuba Ocho on Calle 8. The place had a great vibe with music and the smell of cigars. The service was amazing, and Melanie (who was awesome) made fantastic drinks, especially the coconut mojito! We will definitely come back and I highly recommend for any locals and visitors to Miami.

Great place on Calle Ocho. We were originally trying to go to Ball & Chain but it was closed for some reason. We stumbled across this place and were lured in by the music and vibe. Our party of 6 was sat instantly at a table right by the band. The band was great and a lot people were dancing and having fun. Drinks were great and the place was well-decorated. Highly recommend!

It's an excellent place for salsa and Latin dance (Live music too) and a great place for photos (Tourism Spot) because this place is loaded with art. Very bright and cultural. They serve food but not variety at all. Lots of pork on the menu ( Authentic Cuban Food )

It’s not just a bar. It is the largest gallery of contemporary modern Cuban artists in Miami. Must visit.

Great live music from the salsa band (went on a Saturday). The food looked good, but I didn't have any. I came to immerse myself in the Cuban vibes and it didn't disappoint.

The place was really nice and fun. Live music and service was very good. Now... The food... Rice and shrimp lil bit to salty for my taste, i love food but the rice did not filled my expectations on a Cuban flavor. Other than that everything was nice.

Went there on a Saturday. They had two different live salsa bands. Both were incredible. Cover was $10. Beer was reasonable at $7 but there’s a built in $2 tip. There isn’t much room to dance near the main stage as the area is narrow and everyone is standing there to watch the band. The other stage has a little more room but it can’t accommodate a lot of couples. It was a mix between women who wanted to dance and didn’t. I would recommend going at least once. The bands are incredible.

My friend and I had a Platter that was tasty. My friend had a drink called "Old Cuban." I also ordered a Cuban Sandwich to go. The food and drink were very tasty. The music was fantastic! This is a really fun place to visit on a Saturday night!

There's hardly any space to stand if you don't have a table. The staff has an attitude like "can you get out of the way?". No... There's no other space to exist in. A cover should guarantee you a place to stand minimum. The live music is fantastic. Their mojitos are a little sweet for me compared to other places.

After two rounds of drinks for our party, we asked the bartender for a glass of tap water. He said, they don't serve tap water there and we have to buy a bottled water at almost $5 a bottle. But people who were seated at the table (no food, only drinks also) could get water. So we left and went to Ball & Chain instead, which is a short walk down the street. We never went back to Cubaocho afterwards and patronized all other bars near it for the rest of our stay and we went to Ball and Chain every evening. Advice to management: drinks cost $19, water costs $5. If you allow your guests to hydrate in between, you could be making $19 instead of $5. Don't be stupid! don't be greedy!

A perfectly fine place that is exactly equivalent to any other location in Little Havana for a drink. We went to Thursday Happy Hour & the server told us there was none, even when I pulled up the website. It is no matter - the vibe is good but is also available throughout the whole street. Perfectly acceptable Old Fashioned & Expresso Martini. The "museum" part is maybe metaphorical.

Great service from our waitress, manager also a great customer service. But security service need to work better not sure if it’s Rolando or Jorge does not know how to treat a guest. I organize a party of 17 guest spend over $1,000 and the minute one of my guest step outside to barf discreetly this security started disrespecting us. Totally bad taste from such great venue.

Drink is just ok. But decoration and live music are great!

  • 4/5 Bahram E. 2 years ago on Google
The food was good but they did not offer a full menu so I don’t think it’s going to work if you’re very hungry. Music was nice, but too loud for my kids but I like that. In general it was an interesting experience that’s worth trying one time.

Great place for live music and atmosphere. The bar is massive and you can find any liquor ever made. The drinks are good but pricey. The décor is amazing. Will return and definitely try the food next time. Highly recommend for dancing. Four stars due to the fact that the club can get crowded and if you are not buying drinks they will ask you for your table.

Great music. Only downfall is management. Misleading the customer with prices and then not owning up to their word. Get ready to get hustle at the door and at the table. Will never go back or refer friends and family.

Forget South Beach, and forget the clubs. Come check out this gem in Little Havana, on Calle Ocho. Worlds largest selection of rum, live music, and salsa dancing. Bartenders know all the ins and outs of the area, so its also a great place to stop for an deeper insight into the town.

FAKE HAPPY HOUR, We arrived, saw the ad in the entrance about happy hour, as per the promotion, I order a mojito of the happy hour, after that i order "a beer of the happy hour" and point out to the waiter the happy hour sign, he got little surprice and just say sure I'll get it, rigth after he removed the happy hour sign and never came back with the beer, we order the check and they end us charging us double the price + enforce service charge + charge for paying with credit card.
