Hands down one of the best museums in Miami. One of Coral Gables’ finest landmarks. It’s the best $5 tour I can think of, our guide Laura was amazing.

What a beautiful tiny park, full of tropical plants and with a small pond! There were cichlids, koi, and I believe a parrot fish! Divine hidden park

Historic place, great to learn how the city of Coral Gables was conceived by Mr. Merrick. To the negative reviewers, it is history if you find it boring don’t go there but don’t bash the place either. And to the reviewer who gave one star because the museum was closed? Really?

This is the childhood home of George E. Merrick, the founder and developer of the City of Coral Gables. This historic landmark originally began as a 1903 frame house, and was added onto in 1910.

The Merrick House of Coral Gables is a must in Miami. Everyone should go to get to know why it is such a beautiful community. The tour guides have first hand experience on the history of the community, and the family that had the dream to envision it. I would recommend stopping here first, then walk down to the venetian pool through the beautifully banyan tree-filled streets, and finally to the biltmore Hotel.

Recently renovated, the Merrick House is the former home of Coral Gables founder George Merrick. Stroll through the garden or gaze at the fish pond before touring the house. Local events occur here throughout the year so be sure to visit.

If these walls could talk... a wonderful collection of objects , stories and home space to experience life of those early pioneers as they adapted their living conditions in this subtropical weather and turned Coral Gables and Miami into cities.

Thus is an interesting stop for tourists interested in the foundation of Coral Gables. See how the founder lived, prior to his eventual financial ruin. Regular garden events and scheduled tours of the home are typically free and enlightening.

Nice place to visit. Although closed for repairs, you could check the exterior of the property and ready information a long the way.

It was still closed to the public when I went by first week in March. But a Coral Gables police officer recommended taking a moment to walk around the garden and seeing the lovely fish pond. We did and it was a lovely 15 pause in our day.

This is a very special place. Joann was an outstanding, enthusiastic, and energizing docent. We learned a great deal about the home, the history of the town of Coral Gables, and the Merrick family. We were left with a great respect for the family and all they accomplished. This was a whole house tour and the home contains many original furnishings and artwork.

This is a Very important historic site, as George Merick, founded the city, in the lands inherited from his father, in 1922.

I have been wanting to see the urban light art installation for a while and finally made the trip down to Miami. It is well worth the trip but even better to see at night. Unfortunately, I didn't get this opportunity but next time. The lights are so unique, showing the many styles of old miami street lights.

(Translated by Google) It cost us to visit her. According to all reports, it opens daily and it is not true. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 13 or by appointment. Once we were right with the schedule the problems were finished. The house is delicious but the two ladies who were there deserve special mention. All were facilities with a pleasant and detailed explanation. You can not lose it if you go to Miami. The histories very interesting and sooner or later go to the Coral Hables museum. Going to both places you will have a complete view of the beginnings of the neighborhood. No podéis perderosla si vais a Miami. La historiales muy interesante y antes o después ir al museo de Coral Hables. Yendo a los dos sitios tendréis una visión completa de los inicios del barrio.

I went to this park for a photoshoot and it left me pretty speechless. The house is so vintage and beautiful! There's many colors that pop and the Ocean is right next to it. There's also a huge field of grass where many event/activities take place. I heard they also do a night tour which appealed to me very much and id like to do it some time. Overall, very nice, huge park, with lots of nature and beautiful history!

This was a lovely experience! We went on Saturday afternoon & had an intimate tour with one other family. Highly recommend doing this to learn history of the coral gables area & see the beautiful uniqueness preserved in the Merrick house.
