After 1 year of looking for a church to baptize my daughter I knew I found the one when I came to Gesu for the parent/godparent class. The father was amazing he was real and down to earth (he wasn't there to drill religion down your throat but to help you learn how to keep an eye on your growing child in the world). I had been to many other churches and the stained glass was the detail that won me over. A beautiful church to remember a beautiful day! Might I add that this church also gives back tremendously to the community by feeding the less fortunate real plates of food not just a yogurt or a sandwich.

Went to early Mass today. Ash Wednesday. This particular Mass at 8:15am was bilingual. There are other times in English or Spanish. Not crowded but quite a few people. It is a beautiful church in Downtown Miami. Close to Metromover station on 1st St and very close to Biscayne Blvd and Bayfront Park

An amazing historical church in downtown Miami. The outside design is normal, however what it lacks from the outside the inside make up far more. The design and feel reminds me a trip I went to Spain and visited the churchs there.

A beautiful historical work of art. The Jesuits celebrate Mass and show with their actions that ALL are welcome in God's house. Take a breather and sit in this holy house. There is Peace. Blessings. It is a place to simply Be. With the One who made and Loves you. Immensely. And Father Jim Lambert, S.J., preaches The Word and Love of God with his life.

A beautiful and historic catholic church. The first one in Miami. The inside is gorgeous and reminiscent of the older type of churches.

The oldest church in Downtown Miami. Gesu Catholic Church. I met Mother Teresa there behind the building. They had her staying inside an old garden shed 10x10 with her nuns. I asked for her having read in the newspaper she was in town and there. A priest directed me to the back of the building. Sure enough, she was there.

Beautiful church and friendly people. The children's choir was very impressive in the quality and professionalism. I was there for mother's day and the sermon was heartwarming.

I love attending mass here. I'm not a baptized Catholic but I always feel welcome to attend the mid-day English mass on Sundays. The art is spectacular and I love celebrating mass here as people have for over a century!

I was im deep communication with The Creator and Light Beings when this human (call him father, helper, etc), thin with eye glasses came to interrupt me to tell me that I can’t be there in tank top, which is what I was wearing by the moment. So, I would have needed to leave if I didn’t have the sweater in my back pack, right? And he was sitting close all the time, reading. So, he knew that I was there all the time. So let’s be fair, what about the woman on shorts that was at the left row? I’m sorry, that’s the way I am and that’s the way I was in communication with God. This human being came with his own criteria to sabotage the moment. It seems that I need to be a fake masked up person, dressed to the neck, hitting my chest to come to this place. That’s when you pass from a legit connection to religion. Great place, just shallow crew with no awareness.

For safety.. al comulgar: priest should give it in the mouth of anyone.. with my family we haven't been confortable in participating watching the priest placing it inside the mouth of dozens of individuals one after the other. We should be wearing all masks, receive it in our hand and put it in our mouths a step away facing away from the priest and his cup. It makes no sense in this pandemic scenario.. please adjust. Thanks.
