Visiting in January from PA. Staying in Everglades so this was a day trip. Dog friendly. Plenty of room to spread out and free parking!!! The drive through Miami is irritating but I loved the skyline view once there. Food truck was pretty good too!

Hobie Island Beach Park is a nice local beach that isn't oversaturated with tourists. Parking is kind of a challenge but once you get a spot it's free and the beach is off the beaten path. The water is clean and it's a nice spot to get away from South Beach and all the riff raff that comes with it. Crystal clear blue water, white sands and tranquility are why I highly recommend visiting Hobie Island.

This beach is amazing! We love it because we can walk through the bridge Ana workout there. There’s plenty space from the sand to the ocean to do it. The water is clear and sometimes it has plenty of parking spaces, sometimes no! During the week is much better to go, less people.

You will love this beach…. Close to downtown Miami, FREE PARKING!!!! and with some food options if you don’t want to carry your own. The best option for me combining family time, beach and running

Beautiful white sand beach, but it’s just a small strip of beach next to a strip of parking. Lots of people beaching it up. Even more people jogging, cycling, and otherwise exercising. Miami in general has tons of people exercising outdoors. It’s definitely clean and classy. No seashells. As far as a beach goes, overall hobie island isn’t that wonderful. Lots of better options nearby.

Great beach to come with your dog and family. Water is very calm and the overall beach is very chill. Excellent vibes!

This beach is okay for a quick trip with your dog but it’s definitely not a beach to sit around and enjoy all day. The people visiting this beach are rude and a little dirty…the sand is full of trash and the water is ok. It’s a very touristy beach with low quality people visiting. There is a great view of the skyline and it’s a good beach for dogs because of the shallow water. Parking is free but difficult to find.

Nice beach, good night the water was cold but that's probably because of the weather because I have come here before when it was sunnier and the water was much warmer. There are lots of spots to rest and there are free bathrooms here. Not many spots to park so if you find one you're lucky. Try not to be lucky when you get there and start looking for a parking spot. Trust me, you can if you find one just go ahead and take it because otherwise you will end up looking for a place for hours. And enjoy the view too. For some reasons there are always yatch "parked" in front

This was the first beach we went to when staying at the Pullman. It was clean and the views are amazing. This was the first time I've seen the ocean as well. The sunset from here is heavenly. Parking is free.

I'm so surprised by this Beach. I was doubtful at first because it's right next to the causeway however you can barely even hear the car noise. Parking is free, however it gets crowded very quickly, especially on the weekends. Dogs are allowed. There's not much sand space compared to other beaches but it's okay because the beach itself was amazing. Everyone is so kind here and there's like 3 police cars going back and forth in the parking lot the whole time I was there. Definitely one of my favorite Beaches now :)

I have been here now half dozen times. It’s a great place to go for a run, bike, or a swim. Just get there early to secure a parking spot. We went into the water for the first time, the water felt great as it’s fairly warm in June. For swimming, I find north beach to be a better place.

This was back at 2020, so I thought sharing my experience: I go to Florida every year to see families and I would often get bored going there, but I have to admit that the Hobie Island Beach Park was nice to look at and a good spot to go fishing. The sunset view were satisfying and calming to look at.

Great place to relax and enjoy your day!! Beautiful sunris!!! beautiful sunset!! Beautiful ppl!! I took some pictures. Every time I go, I bring a towel, radio, beers...I always have a blast!! The food truck have great cheese burgers, Tacos, ceviche, just pick your flavor. They do have drinks. Absolute great place to get some stress off your shoulders after a hard work week, day at the office or what ever the case. Great family environment, Dogs are allowed and welcomed. Definitely recommend this spot!!

Beautiful spot unspoiled by tourism, this is more of a locals only spot. The view of Brickell/Downtown when running or cycling is impressive and what a better way to cool off then to take a quick dip in the beach. There is also parking and a vendor renting water sports. Great way to stay active while enjoying the scenery.

It’s a no-brainer here. Come take a walk on this urban hike up the bridge and then plunge into the clear and calm waters. Lots of shade from plan trees and free parking. Come early if not finding parking it’s a mission. Highly recommend the drive to this beautiful park.

Cute little spot to take a dip and let the dogs play free, however Beach is a bit dirty with litter. Would be nicer if they maintained it a bit better. Minimal parking but some great food trucks with food and beverages!

This is the REAL DOG BEACH! I have tried the other ones but couldn't take my dog on the beach. This one we could sit, swim, and walk. Great place, don't hesitate to go.

Nice beach! Bathrooms (I guess you can call them that), outdoor shower and drinking fountain available. Lots of space on the beach for in sun and shade. Tons of seaweed along the entire beach.

Shallow family oriented beach. Right across Mc arthur express way to key biscayne. Nice to spend some hours in the morning or late afternoon. Great chance to see Dolphins swimming. People bring their dogs and get in the water with them....so you know...very pet friendly place. If you like fishing the old bridge offer a nice spot to do that.

Discret & small, but nice beach. With a fishing pier near and a beautiful view of downtown Miami behind

It's a nice beach because of the shady palm trees and free parking. A lot of people bring their dogs. The only bad thing is the beach is a little rocky in some parts and there was some trash around.

You know the real reason to go is for the sunsets! And it is conveniently located from Brickell and Coconut Grove.

IF YOU ARE RUNNING IN MIAMI, YOU NEED TO RUN HERE. There probably won't be a more scenic place to run with a solid breeze to keep you going. The earlier in the morning, the better. Parking disappears fast.

Awesome beach with free parking. Apart of the street this place feels like the Bahamas.

Great beach for you and your dog to swim calm waters. And the food truck has the best burger and fresh French fries it’s great.

Very underrated beach in Miami. The coolest thing about it, you can watch Sunset.

  • 5/5 Alexa R. 1 year ago on Google
This is one of the best beaches in Miami in my opinion. It is composed more of locals than South beach, and there are a few food trucks right on property with frozen lemonade and beach snacks. The Key Biscayne bridge is walking distance and 1-2 miles to see insane views of Key Biscayne and the water. There is lots of parking. Only downside is that it closes at sunset (when the sun sets on that side) and sometimes has some seaweed.

Nice and quiet beach. Water is a little bit cold a coin in February 2023, but I like it. There are a lot of parking spaces, on weekdays can be parked easily.

One of the best beach experience for swimming! Giving 4 starts for parking issues. Very few spots for parking. But the crowd was less and had and amazing experience due to restricted parking 😀

Very nice place to train triathlon you can swim, run and bike. And later you can enjoy the beach and asadito 😍

Excellent beach. Dog friendly, quiet enough to feel like you have space but not so quiet it feels awkward, that being said im sure during the summer this place gets packed, especially with the relatively small parking lot. There are food vendors which offer excellent food and overall this place is surprisingly clean (especially for being so dog friendly). If you have a 4 legged friend who enjoys the sun and the sand I highly recommend this place.

Never too crowded, very nice beach and free parking (recommend going early just in case)

If you’re not a big city person, take the highway through Miami and make this you’re only stop. You won’t be disappointed if you love dogs and beautiful beaches. The water is actually clear and very warm here. My only suggestion is to include more parking spaces and portable restrooms. I wouldn’t mind paying a cheap fee for additional spaces to be added, as it was popular and a bit of a struggle.

Great beach with awesome views . It needs more food and more activities closer is the only ad part about it. It was clean and very relaxing. One other thing is people let their dogs run around freelyand don't watch them so you have to constantly run them away from your food and belongings.

Beautiful view from the old abandoned (but maintained) bridge. I love this place for running and working out. People come here to fish
