We got to enjoy a small part of Amelia’s Park. There is so much to do, I recommend you do one thing per visit so you can really take in all this park has to offer. No money, no problem there is a lot things to do own your on time and effort. Bring your bikes, scooter , your photo-cam and take all the beautiful nature pictures this park has to offer. Enjoy doing barbecue, there are lot of places you can do that in different locations in the park. Overall just enjoy the time with your family.

Amelia Earhart Park is one of the largest parks in the city of Hialeah, which has 5 lakes on 515 acres of land, and it was recently renovated. This park is immense with lots of activities for the entire family. Wakeboarding - 20 minute Tube Rides. Mountain Biking Trails - 8 miles of bike trails for beginners, intermediate and advanced. Mountain Bike rentals are available. Disc Golf - 18 hole frisbee golf course. This is a lot of fun. Soccer 5 mini - small sided on enclosed 4G turf fields soccer game. Fishing Pier - you can fish year round off the pier. Sand Volleyball Court - great for picnic games throughout the day. Picnic Shelters - with picnic tables and grills are available for rent. Dog Friendly Park - leashed dogs are allowed, but please pick up after your dogs. Thank you! Dog Park - a 5 acre fenced park for dogs to socialize with other dogs 🐶 with green space, walking trails and dog water fountains. A small breed dogs section is also available. This is a family friendly park with plenty to do, including a petting zoo, playground and pony rides. Parking is free Monday through Friday, and weekends are $7 per vehicle. Thank you Miami-Dade for enforcing rules and maintaining our parks clean for us to enjoy. 😃

Nice, large county park. Many ammenities. Water skiing, bycicle rentals, large picnic cabins. I thought it ridiculous to pay for parking.

This park is huge, beautiful and it has many things to do! Just to give you an idea, it has: soccer fields, multiple parks for kids, a beautiful petting zoo, pony rides, bicycles and boat rentals, barbecue grills and multiple shelters, lakes, and even water sports (ski is rental) There is plenty of space to find your perfect-private spot and your kids, family or friends will love it 100% recommended

There are so many great things to do at this park. My family was only able to do a few of them but we still enjoyed our time. They have paddle boat rides, $25/30 mins which isn't bad because 30 minutes is all you really need, at least for us it was. They have multiple playground areas, although they aren't very big, or really big enough for the amount of kids there on a Saturday afternoon, they sufficed. They have a concession stand which was reasonably priced and decent. Overall, had a good experience. Will go back again.

Great family oriented park. Lots of wildlife, various birds ducks and lizards. My kids had a great time. Perfect place for a picnic or a photo shoot. One of my favorite places to just take pictures, very scenic.

I’ve been coming to this park for over 7 years. And I love the lake/ little mountain side, it’s the quietest part.

Great park!! There is just about everything a park wants and needs here. There is a trail for bikes, a water park with water skiing, and zip lining. Picnic areas, and even gardening. I recommend it for your next nature family outing.

ANIMAL ABUSE: There is a group of children between the ages of 12-15 that are going to the park past 4 pm in weekdays “to fish” and instead are harming the ducks and ducklings in the park. I confronted the kids myself but they just continued to attempt to hook the ducks and ducklings with fishing reel and grabbing the ducks forcefully. I tried to look for a park ranger but was unable to localize any as none were available. I am extremely concerned as well as other bystanders that witnessed this. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS OR HAVE RANGERS IN THE MAIN AREA OF THE PARK/CHILDRENS PLAYGROUND.

Amelia is one of the nicest parks in Miami Dade. They have so many activities to do with the family. From wakeboarding to hay rides, feeding barn animals to volleyball, they've got it all! I've always visited this park for family events since it is such a nice park to host gatherings. Make sure to check it out, take your bike and ride the trails, and explore the park! You can thank me later 😏

This place has a real nice and flowy bike trail with some pretty punchy ups and downs for a south Florida trail.. The trail is kinda confusing once you get in but they all chain together. Do not come after heavy rain as this place will get swampy. Bring bug spray, especially after rain, this place has ferocious mosquitos.. This is the third best trail in South Florida after Markham and Virginia keys imo..

Beautiful park to visit with the family. During the weekend it gets very crowded and the parking costs $7. During the week there is free parking and less people. It's nice because there are water sports, there is a free petting zoo for the kids, and many playgrounds.

Great park love the natural trail but needs more signs so you know where they begin and end and maps or signs displaying the parks walking trail would be great also . No signs for slow down or children so some cars speed pass as your walking or running. It's a park but no everyone follows the rules and I didn't see a park ranger or anything.but it's still one of the best looking parks we have

I think the last time i was here i was a child and the first thing i went to go look for was the cave at the play ground, it was closed off not sure if they are renovating it or if they have plans to remove it. I did notice the lake has ramps not to sure if they offer water ride or what not. Overall alot of great memories here.

Good place to go with family and friends, you can rent if you want to have a party. There’s a lot of stuff you can do on site such as: Biking Mountain Biking Soccer Volleyball Wakeboarding Love the green area, you can walk or ride bikes with your kids or friends and enjoy the nature, Something to keep in mind if you go with kids is to always watch them, there’s not police inside the park and there’s always people racing or running the cars specially young guys. So just be aware.! You have to pay for parking.

I wanted to thank David Carballo who works at Amelia Park . He really deserves 5 stars ⭐️ yes 👍!!! Yesterday my daughter and I decided to take My cat Peluso on a day out at Amelia Park; first I asked David to please help me move a table near the bbq grill, which he kindly called the right person to help me, while we were waiting for the table to be moved, Peluso decided to hide under David’s pick up truck 😩, I really had no idea how to make my cat get out from there, but David and his other coworker ( which unfortunately I don’t remember his name ) they both helped us and did all the possible and imposible to help me get Peluso out of the truck. We literally spent more than hour trying to get my cat out safe 😟 . And yes 🙌 finally we got him out , safe !!! Thanks 😊 David for being such as great 👍 person and a great asset to the Park !

Very unsafe place, a few weeks ago I got robbed at this place they didn’t even offer any recompense for everything I lost. They don’t have cameras in this place is crazy how you go for a walk to relax and you end up with a broken window in the car and with your stuff stolen. be careful you can literally get kill and no one will ever know who did it no security during the day at all.

Nice park, don’t bother getting tested in this location, they will mess up your test results. The lab they are using sucks. And will give you falls information and incorrect lab results.

A large section of the park was not accessable because of law enforcement blocking sections which was kind of disappointing. Majority of the park is not pet friendly, the area that is dog friendly is nice and well kept. Majority of our visit was time spent on the parks walking trail. It is a beautiful area and was well worth visiting. My biggest complaint would be that I felt unwanted and almost bullied by park staff and law enforcement being stopped for walking with a service dog. My disability is clearly visible and I walk with a cane and require the aid of my service dog. It's not uncommon to be poorly treated when in public, but I would have expected a park to be more accepting and not make me feel picked on. Overall, the experience was nice, a peaceful place that allowed us to escape the daily norm. I would highly recommend this park to any family interested in spending time walking.

Beautiful location, stunning, lots of green spaces and different areas, very well-kept and clean. It feels great, the park has a place for everyone, calm for some and very hectic for others. I love the lakes with ducks, turtles, and fish in them (I saw a hawk!). If you want to unwind or spend some time with your family or alone yourself, definitely go.

This is one of my favorites places to spent time with my son, here's where he learned how to drive and also drove a car by himself for the first time, very kid friendly environment, they have a farm where little ones can interact with animals, like ducks, goose, pigs, goats, lambs, ponies, etc, also they have a playground for kids with an amazing view, they have watersports, dog park and even a bike trail, I honestly recommend this place if you want to spend some quality time with your loved ones.

Great park and a hidden gem in the heart of Miami! Mountain biking is great and trails are well maintained. Beginner courses but novices as well! Wake boarding was great as well.

  • 4/5 Maria H. 2 years ago on Google
This is a great place for kids, dogs, party venue. It looks plain on the entrance but they have different amenities within the park - water activities, outdoor activities, dog park, shelters for rent for parties, playground, petting zoo-not sure if they're still open due to covid, and they also have covid testing site. Parking is free on the weekdays I believe but not on weekends. If you are going to the testing site, enter thru the palm avenue entrance and do not follow the main address.

I hadn’t been to Amelia since I was a kid, so to say this park has grown from the late 90s to early 00s is an understatement. The park offers a wide variety of activities, there are swan boats you can rent, a petting zoo, family bicycles, bike paths, a jungle gym, swings, a hill to roll down, beautiful scenery everywhere, plenty of parking, and a food vendor hut. While it’s a great time, make sure you come packed with bug spray because the mosquitos fly rampant at all hours of the day.

Beautiful park we come here only to attend my daughters soccer games lots of green 🌳 and there is a huge lake💧close by the only issue is that soccer tournament brings way to many traffic to this park so that can spoils things for people who just want to enjoy the park not to mention parking is extremely hard to find during soccer tournament.

The place is beautiful, you have many green areas, what I love the most is how clean and well cared for the plants are. I love that it has lakes for ducks, turtles and fish, it feels very good, the park is very quiet, recommended to visit if you want to relax a bit or spend time alone or with your family.

My fav park ever! There are pavilions of different sizes. But if it’s only u, u can have a nice free picnic there. You’d only have to sit on the grass or bring your own things to sit. And enjoy!!! Great waters around and activities. Kid-friendly and plenty of parking.

Went to the park for the disc golf course. It's currently still in the process of being renovated. Signage to get to the course as well as visible pads with hole info are pretty tough to find. Once the course is finished it will definitely be amazing but for now I would save yourself the headache avoid it for disc golf.

I gave it a three because I love Amelia Earhart but I would give it a 0?because of the mess the covid testing site is Save your time, It’s been more then 5 days and I still haven’t gotten the results on the second test. Go to hard rock stadium, it’s faster and more professional. Plus the conditions are actually better for the workers. I can’t believe Amelia is making the employees work in that condition. If you see try out both, you will see exactly what I am talking about. Everyone was kind and respectful, in spite of their working conditions.
