The Curtiss Mansion is one of Miami’s most overlooked hidden gems. This site was the home and gardens of legendary aviator, inventor, and developer, Glenn Hammond Curtiss. Brought from Spain and reassembled in 1925 by William Randolph Hearst, it boasts luscious landscaping and gorgeous, well maintained architecture. The Mansion is now a non-profit local landmark, historic site, and center for the community’s cultural, educational, recreational, social, and civic events. We had an amazing time at the Havana Haunted Mansion Event! The actors really knew their craft & it was a very enjoyable evening. Especially the gentleman who was Don Carlos, he was very welcoming & entertaining! The singing was nice & all the men looked to enjoy the burlesque dance 😂. I thought the “acting award” should go to the “Witch in the Kitchen” - now she was frightening (in a good natured way…). And the witch had a favorable script. (We didn’t see the Magician.) The “Seance Room” unfortunately didn’t hit the right “notes” & all the risqué humor (read about men’s body parts) really, unfortunately, wasn’t funny (and I am mos def not a prude - it was super awkward…). Nonetheless, a fun event that could use a little more coordination (we didn’t get to see the last “room” upstairs as the over 30 min wait maxed us out) but the efforts were definitely excellent overall. This is not a “traditional” Haunted House, it’s more of a Halloween “dramatic event or show” so don’t expect to be chased by crazed clowns or zombies, go to Universal for that. Side Note: parking is $15. but Valet & super convenient, drinks are somewhat pricey but this is So Flo & to be expected. Security was present & active. Grade: A- 👍

I was in a wedding Sunday 11/12 here. Absolutely breathtaking. Everything about the reception space, cocktail hour, dinner space & dance floor/room were stunning and spectacular. It was one of the most beautiful venues I have ever been to. So intimate and cozy. I highly recommend.

Curtiss Mansion is a dream come true and made our wedding the wedding of our dreams. Every time I hear their name I get goosebumps because of our amazing wedding we had there. From the day we entered the mansion and met with Sherri and Javi we knew we found the perfect place to get married. It is homey, gorgeous, so unique, professional, and every detail of the venue is pristine and thought out. Their staff thinks of everything for your day and planning process from not being seen during the ceremony, to making sure the grass is perfect. The venue is indescribable and ALL of our guests said this was the best venue, coolest place and the best weddings they have been to. The venue is so beautiful on it's own that it doesn't need much decor but our wedding was able to be elevated so much with the Mansion as the background. We wanted a unique venue and this was not only unique but truly beautiful with a beautiful history in Miami. Their are so many options for where to do what with your layout and the staff walks you through everything and all of the changes. I am extremely detailed oriented and their staff was so helpful and patient with me during the entire planning process. There is so much to worry about when having a wedding but the venue is most important and from day one, we didn't have to worry about ANYTHING having to do with our wedding venue which was a wonderful feeling. We got married three weeks ago and I can't believe how PERFECT our day was. All of the staff at the mansion is so spectacular. Every vendor we hired solidified that with how they say the Curtiss Mansion and their staff is top notch and so easy to work with. It's all true! They go above and beyond. We also hired Javi after meeting him through our tour and WE LOVE HIM! He is a work horse and will make you feel like you are the only couple he is working with and his top priority. Our family loved him, and you want a wedding coordinator who will calm your nerves that day. Javi was able to use all his resources and knowledge to problem solve and keep everything run smoothly and he IS SO MUCH fun to be around. Javi made our day perfect at the Curtiss Mansion. I attended Cortez Manor, the haunted house at Curtiss Mansion, last Saturday (10/9). Wow! It was such an awesome experience. You get chills the moment you walk up to the venue and they only multiply as you go through it. I loved that it had an engaging story that the talented actors and creepy/realistic props brought to life. I can’t wait to go back again and again to discover deeper secrets of this very scary place. Don’t miss the only haunted house inside an actual haunted place! P.s. This picture was taken before entering.

As the Father of the Bride, the only expectation I had from the staff at Curtiss Mansion was that my daughters wedding was exactly what she wanted. The venue is beautiful and kept up very well so I had no concerns there, but we all know keeping the bride happy is no small task. Javi and Sherry were absolutely amazing. There were a few speed bumps but they made sure everything was perfect and nobody knew about them. The one thing they couldn't hide was the FL weather. A last minute shower popped up right after the ceremony and the staff quickly pivoted and moved all the tables inside in the blink of the eye. By the time everyone was done eating, the shower passed and I got to see my baby and my new son-in-law dance the night away under the lights in the courtyard. I cannot stress enough how amazing the entire staff was. And do your self a favor and hire Javi as the day-of coordinator...you will not be sorry. It was truely a magical night.

I got married at the Curtiss Mansion on 11/4/23 and all throughout the night I couldn't stop turning to my friends and family to say, "Everyone should get married here!" To begin, the team there is phenomenal. Javi, Ale, Alex, Kayla, Sherry, and the rest of the staff made sure that my husband and I had the most magical night of our lives. They treated me like I was family from the beginning of the planning process to the end, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we could relax and enjoy the evening. I felt like I was working with a highly trained Secret Service of sorts: -They used walkie talkies and ear pieces to communicate with each other throughout the night. -They anticipated our needs before we had them (making sure we ate first, bringing us drinks, holding my dress, escorting me, etc.). -They changed light bulbs, mopped up spills as they happened, ran to get cups when my caterer ran out, etc. This team made sure the event ran smoothly and resolved problems that weren't even their fault quickly! At the end of the night, Javi personally delivered some leftovers from the venue to our APARTMENT which was not expected but much appreciated. The venue itself is also gorgeous. It stands out from its peers through its Mission Revival architecture, and it boasts many different rooms, cool furniture, and breathtaking ceremony sites throughout the property. There isn't a lot you have to do in terms of decor/rentals/florals because it's just that beautiful. But you have to see it for yourself to appreciate the beauty. The photos I'm attaching (some professional, some from phone cameras) don't even begin to do it justice. Finally, this is one of the only outdoor venues (if not THE only venue) in Miami that allows you to keep the party going until 1am. My husband and I really wanted to have a long wedding and dance the night away, and this venue had no issue with that. They allow you to pay for extra hours and move you into a spacious indoor room at 11pm to get around the noise ordinance. It was exactly what we wanted. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married. I have only positive things to say about the Curtiss Mansion and its amazing staff who make people happy for a living.

So me and my wife wanted to do something for Halloween that was different and with an older crowd no children and I have to say this is by far the best event I want to in a long time they had live entertainment, which was amazing. their drinks were awesome actors never got out of character, which made the experience even more entertaining they also had a Berlin show in the VIP room and had a psychic tarot card reader which was extremely accurate, and on point I definitely would recommend us and and definitely go back next year

I put a 4 star by mistake. This place is beautiful!!!! Me and fiance booked our venue at this location. The day is still far away and I'm excited!! Sherry and Javier are amazing!!! They made us feel at home. The professionalism and the promises sherry and Javier promised us is amazing. I can't wait for the special day. Anyone who is considering this location, do it!!!!! Go book a tour and speak to the names I listed above. They know what they are doing and are completely upfront with you. I cannot say more about how special sherry and javier made us feel during this process. God bless this place!!!!

The Haunted Mansion is overpriced for what it is. Acting is horrible. The guy that plays Don Carlos is very inappropriate with his comments. The free drink included with the ticket tastes like cough medicine. Overall, really bad experience. Very unprofessional and not worth it at all. Saw the whole thing in less than an hour.

This was one of the most beautiful, least likely wedding venues I would have expected and it was right on the golf course. At night the lighting added so much to the party - highly recommend this place for parties!

My husband and I recently got married at this venue and it was the best day. Of course having family and friends at the wedding makes it special but Sherry and Javier made sure that everything ran smoothly and expectations were met prior to the wedding and the day of the wedding. I booked this venue because it was beautiful inside and out and the customer service was exceptional. The staff made us felt welcomed everytime we came to visit the mansion..and we came a bunch of times :) I highly recommend this venue to future couples.

I'm very pleased with the service that Curtiss Duct Works provided. Their technician came on time. He was very friendly, professional. He took the time to explain the process, cover up area surrounding the duct openings, attentive to details while cleaning. A wonderful job cleaning all the air duct and dryer vent. Excellent experience! I would definitely recommend this business to friends and family!

Attended a wedding, the place is spectacular

Sherry and Javi were such a pleasure to work with. Sherry gave me a beautiful and informative tour. Javi gave me ALL the details, the full run-down, and is the oil in well-oiled machine making it all happen on the big day. He is very meticulous and focused on what YOU want as a couple. Javi and his team were incredibly attentive during the wedding. Everything happened seamlessly, smoothly, and everything was well-thought out down to last detail and second. I showed up and Javi coordinated everything. He is an amazing coordinator and would work with him time and time again for any event in the future. The venue speaks for itself. It is beautiful and the Miami wedding scene's best kept secret. I grew up in Miami Springs so this venue was a little extra special to me, but it just has so much character. It is a perfect space for ceremony and reception. I almost forgot! It poured in the middle of the December and no one saw it coming. Javi was quick with the back-up plan. And while the outdoor space was what originally drew me to the space, I am almost glad it rained because the space was so cozy and romantic while it tropical stormed out there. We converted the carriage house to a moody and romantic dinner area. The photos of everything came out stunning.

I’m not a big fan of Haunted Houses, but this event was something completely different! I went there twice with my friends and absolutely loved the experience! Performances were amazing! Food and drinks soooo good!

I went to haunted house mention with my boyfriend and a couple friends - we had a blast!! Witches kitchen and illegal casino were our favorite rooms!! The whole experience was a lot of fun, actors were great and did a great job working with the room! It was very interactive experience and I loved that most people were dressed up in fun Halloween costumes! There were a lot of groups coming in together and through the whole experience we met a couple of other friend groups! The house is really cool itself and decoration was very spooky with a lot of zones for pictures!

Just took my kids tonight and must say when I got there I did not have high expectations and was expecting something basic but WOW was I wrong!!! The haunted house was amazing consent scares from start to finish left me and the kids wanting more!!! Fantastic job and definitely looking forward to next year

Horrible, I paid $105.00 for VIP lounge. I'm not sure about anything that was done at this Halloween Havana Haunted Mansion. It was silly, it inc. 2 drinks in very short glasses. Cigar patio, had to pay for Cigar, Torot Cards if you wanted $53.00 charge..it said food, I never saw anything to eat. I email them and asked for a refund...never got an answer back. I must say, the staff was very very nice. Total rip-off, I certainly will spread the word.

We had a fantastic time during Haunted Havana Mansion event. I’m so glad Miami finally has something like that to offer for Halloween time! Love love love the Eye Candy drink (btw I thought the prices were very reasonable). Special shoutout to actors - especially Esperanza! This haunted house was amazing! The actors were great and scary and the staff in the front was awesome as well and friendly! The house was spooky and fun and this is my second time going there! One of the actors remembered us haha! They handle everything professionally even someone complaining about why people who pay VIP tickets get to go first even though it’s obvious but the staff handled everything very smoothly. We have never had an issue here, highly recommend! 😊👻

I will not be going to any other event in the Curtiss Mansion after the scam that was the “Havana Haunted Mansion”. Completely misleading with fake AI photos of the event, promising “exclusive” VIP amenities and 2 drinks. There was NOTHING exclusive about VIP and it was only 1 free drink not 2 as advertised. For $89 you can go to Halloween Horror Nights, a real event and you’ll save yourself the inappropriate jokes and smelly rooms.

Cool place... as someone else said VIP goes in first which creates longer wait times for GA. This is also done not proportionally (1 VIP group for 1 GA group) but they let ALL the VIP go in first while not moving the General Admission line. This is inefficient the VIP line is way shorter and they should let 1 VIP group then allow 1 GA to go in. The way its done right is inefficient and creates longer wait times for all. Other than that, the actors were good and scenes were scary. Overall fun minus the wait time.

Hunted house was scary!!!! Everything was super realistic, actors are awesome! Rooms are out of this world , it really gave you that spooky feel , every detail was just on point!!! An amazing experience!! We had a blast!! Can’t wait for next year!

Curtis Mansion sits in a large enclosed grassy area. It can be rented out for parties or weddings. Seems very nice, I haven't been inside, but I know many people do their fifteens pictures here.

Curtis Mansion hosted a haunted house this year, very cool jumped and screamed a couple of times. They even let people go upstairs! The decorations and costumes were on point! Great start to Halloween 🎃 🎃

Attended the haunted house with some friends. Thankful that the parking was free. When purchasing tickets online they stress being there at your scheduled time or you will be skipped. They were very late starting. Although, it was not to scary, they did a decent job with what they had to work with. I would recommend less predictable scares and them being on time to make this experience even better!

Beautiful, historic and the staff is very friendly. My cousins had her wedding there a few years back and everything was breathtaking. We recently went to a haunted house event they have every year and again everything was great. Very organized and 100% on bo6woth social distancing.

They always say your wedding day goes by so fast and to enjoy it. Well with this amazing team at the Curtiss Mansion, I got to take my time and soak it all in! In spite of it being Saturday, the park was amazingly quiet, probably because it is next to a golf course. I absolutely loved being there, it was very peaceful and clean. I had a picnic blanket and we had two hours of pure nature. The kids loved riding their trikes and looking at the trees, the grass... I can't believe such a peaceful place is in the middle of a bustling city like Miami Gardens. I got rid of all the stress just by seating there watching the kids have fun. If you love riding your bike or enjoy a quiet time, this hidden park is your best bet.

We had a day-long layover in Miami and asked Mauricio at the EB Hotel where was the nicest & closest park we could walk around, he said the park next to the Curtiss Mansion. So on Monday, 2/24/20 we walked around the golf course and grounds. As we passed the Mansion, I asked the man behind the fence if the museum would open today. He said, no, but he could take 5 minutes to look around the grounds. Spiro, the caretaker, then proceeded to show us around the property, the garage where Mr. Curtiss developed some of his inventions, and all the rooms while talking about aviation, motorcycles and more. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable and friendly. At the end of our visit he even gave us an Eastern Airlines pin. Of our two week long trip to exotic places, the half hour we spent with Spiro, touring the Curtiss home was far and away the most memorable. What a gift he is to the museum. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

It is truly a special place with rich history.  The mansion has multiple beautiful locations, for ceremonies, receptions, and photographs. We had our ceremony in the grove at sunset, and it looked absolutely magical with the bistro lights hung in the trees. Our reception was in the courtyard, which is gorgeous in its own right, and with it fully decorated it felt more like we were in the Mediterranean than in Miami. The mansion team is amazing!! Sherry and Javi are the BEST!!! We had the wedding of our dreams, which would not have been the same with out this location or Sherry and Javi's help. The pair were so easy to work with, maintained flexible schedules for visits to show off our venue to visiting family and friends, and exuded with passion for the Mansion. The crew so clearly cares deeply about the mansion and its history, you can't help but fall in love with it as well right alongside them. They wanted to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams and worked hard to make sure all the details were in place to make it happen. We always felt like a priority to them and were treated with utmost respect. As a same-love couple, it's not always easy to feel comfortable searching for wedding venues. Sherry and the Mansion crew's support meant the world to us and made us feel safe and celebrated. The closed vendor list at the Mansion was very helpful in making sure we found high-quality vendors for our wedding. It saved us a lot of time searching and vetting. This place is truly a hidden gem. We recommend this venue without reservation to anyone looking for a magical, historic setting for their wedding or special event.

We got married at the mansion about 1 month ago and it was the most perfect day. We had Javi as our month-of-coordinator and we didn't have to talk to our vendors for anything that month and he made sure everything went perfectly. The venue itself its beautiful and with so many rooms and spaces to do everything you need on your wedding. We had our wedding all outside, the ceremony was on the beautiful arch on the back. The day was beautiful and breezy so it was not too hot. For our reception we did the interior patio which is gorgeous and we still had the room next to it with AC open so we could go cool off if we got too hot dancing.
