My first time here. It's a small beautiful garden with lots of plants are trees with art throughout the trails. It also had a small water park for kids and a mini art museum. It was only $5 dollars to get in so it's not bad for a one time visit. I only give it 3 stars because it had empty cages in the garden which made it look old and not well maintained. They should at least remove the cages. It will look much nicer. Overall my son and I had a nice time walking around. We went on a Sunday where they had a farmers market setup outside the property which was nice. I think they do the market every Sunday there. It's free to park and walk the market.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. It's $5 dollar's to get in and plenty of parking. Everyone should come here, so many different plants, statue's, little benches and all. Also a water area for kids. It is very well kept and worth every dollar I swear no one should live without seeing such a beautiful place I love it so much. I've been here twice and both times it wasn't that many people. Mostly families with kids. You can also feed the fish if you ask for the food.

Very nice place to take a stroll. Me and my wife went to their light festival and it was very nice, but a bit overpriced for what it was. It had been a long time since I had visited and I’m glad they have kept the place very nice and clean. If I didn’t live so far I would go more often just to walk around and relax. I really loved the addition of the wooden sculptures. See my photos.

Visited on a Saturday when the heat index was 105 degrees. Despite it being insanely hot, their impressively tall trees created a lot of shade in the first half of the garden. This provided welcoming relief. The garden itself is beautiful. There’s tons of photo ops in this family friendly space. For the little ones, they have a whimsical play area and splash zone. The biggest thing that stood out was the VALUE of it being only $5 with lots to see. Pack your family into a car and head over to PG! Oh, and don’t forget the camera.

It's a beautiful place to spend a day with the family. Some areas were under renovations during our visit, but there was still plenty to see. Our experience was even better than anticipated as there was a Jazz Concert from several groups of young musicians and it was fantastic! Entry to the park is only $5 for adults & parking is free. Note: I did not see any food for purchase anywhere during our visit outside of a vending machine. I am not sure if that has anything to do with the areas that are being renovated, but you might want to bring some snacks with you if you plan on being there long. Overall just a lovely place to be close to nature, I definitely recommend it!

I went to the Deering estate to see the Alice in wonderland exhibit and remembered Parrot jungle so looked it up on the GPS. It was only 15 minutes away so stop by. It is still gorgeous

Very nice place, green, full of all kinds of palm trees, trees, bushes and lizards. You can feed the fish. Inexpensive tickets. You can spend a nice time, also with children. The visit will take about an hour to an hour and a half. I like it.

The newly renovated play area is absolutely amazing! The kids will enjoy a radically changed playground which includes vivid colors, and an array of animal themed playsets. There’s also a fantastic interactive animal area where kids can pet, feed and groom pigs, cows, rabbits, goats, etc… The entire garden is perfectly landscaped to have sufficient shade while being meticulously manicured. Definitely, a must-go if you have little ones.

We went for the event - Nights of lights. It’s a holiday lights set up. The whole park is converted into a winter wonderland. We got our tickets online and the check in process was smooth, no lines. There was plenty of parking available. The lights setup was so magical, completely loved it. Unfortunately my phone couldn’t capture the beauty of the twinkling lights. It took us around 30 minutes to walk through the park. Highly recommend going to this setup during the holiday season.

An absolute GEM and it’s only $5 a ticket. This place is so beautiful, there are no words for how nice they take care of it. Make sure to take a picture of the map because it’s easy to get lost. They are pet friendly, and have water for them near the restrooms.

Great place to see the native plants and lizards. There is a great cafe and a splash pad for the kids! Highly recommend. Earlier the better for the splash pad as it got busier as the day went on. Military families got in for free!

It is a nice place to visit but the customer service here is horrible the staff is very rude and not well trained. Amiras was so rude and told us in our face I don’t care I only work here (if an employee does not care who should care) she was very rude about wanting to kick us out and gave us Ryan Ruiz card to email him with a very bad attitude. On google it says the park closes at 5 and they kicked us out at 4, we only spent 45 minutes at the park, and no one mentioned there is an event at 6 and that we will be kicked out at 4, an hour before advertised hours on google.

Gorgeous spot and a thrifty place to experience the beauty of Miami. Peaceful and beautiful place to walk around, explore, and even sit and relax with a coffee or picnic. I don’t have children but seems like a great place to take kids, with a playground, small zoo, and splash pad. At the same time, it’s not too kid-intensive for those like me who like their space & quiet. Seems like it might be more quiet the earlier you go. I love the trees, botanicals, wildlife, art, and landscaping features. Thank you!!!!!

This review is for the night of lights event held by the Pinecrest Garden Staff; not for the Park itself. Positive: free parking and some friendly staff (not all)...and that's it. Negative: waste of space, they left a LOT of places in the dark, including walkways that is recommended bring a flashlight if you don't want to fall into a pond or the ground. There's a large plaza that could have used more lights and there's only 2 to 3 food vendors (prices are good) for a place enough for at least 8 to 10. I don't care if is Pinecrest, but $20 bucks ($15 for children) if way to overpriced for this BS of event.

Nice place to take a stroll but unfortunately all the attentions were closed (kids water playground, and most garden areas) only the walking path was open. This was especially disappointing because the price was still the same as when fully opened. Regardless the price for admission is $5 per person. I will revisit when it is fully opened and then reevaluate my rating accordingly.

Be ready to see a wide range of plants and trees. While walking through the trails you'll see peacocks, koi fish, turtles and other types of animals. Easy to find a tranquil spot to sit and enjoy nature. The splash area is perfect for the kids to cool down from the hot summer temperatures and the play area by the lake is safe, clean, and fun. Did I mention the sell nice cold beer? Entrance, snacks, and beverages are sold at an affordable price. The bathrooms are clean and equipped with changing stations.

Went for the light show at night, cool walk but besides lights in the Garden everything is dark and nothing to see but same lights changing color all over. Wooden sculptures where pretty cool and impressive size

The experience was more than are four year old or are we adults expected. Beyond that, I have not seen a playground as safe as this one. It's padded completely. There are swings and slides and giant frogs crawl in and out of. Before we forget the staff was absolutely wonderful. Volunteers i'm sure. I asked one how long it took to put up and he said two and a half months. This is just a christmas deal it's a year around wonder.

Visiting the gardens was interesting paths, areas & features. Although a few paths were closed off & so pondering around was nice, no life in cages/zoo nor waters which was boring. The tree's flexible branches & huge leaves surprised me however, no colourful petals nor plants within.

This place was a nice surprise. Good get away from Miami, clean and interesting. Coffee shop available but was closed when I visited it. Loved the troll statue.

Wonderful place to spend some time with your family or friends, have fun with kids at splash, or take nice pics of yourself. There's also a farmers market on weekends with fruits and vegetables, local cuisine, handmade and pets' products.

Lovely park. Well kept paths with lots of shade and beautifully plants. Koi/turtle ponds. Big play area for kids. Splash pad all for 5$ per person. Small stand with nachos /popcorn or hotdogs. Area with animals as well. Has interactive garden where kids can water the plants. Nice areas to overlook and sit in breezy paths. Recommend as a fun day trip

It was under construction when I visited so only got a chance to see a bit of the park. Luckily for my girls the water play area was empty of others, so they ran freely. Can't wait for our next visit, we're from PA, to see the updates.

Admission was $5 for one adult. Parking was free. I came on a Sunday at about 9 am for my first visit. It was really lovely. I visited the farmer's market afterwards. The grounds include large and small ponds, limestone solution holes, huge banyans, a wide variety of well-established plants, an old cottage, a splash park and well-developed playground for kids, a touch garden for kids, goats, rabbits, koi, swans, turtles, and more. It was very peaceful in the morning and very comfortable temperature at this time of year. One of the videos I posted shows a very tall banyan tree with a large well-established bee colony wedged high up in its trunk system. Clearly a lot of care and consideration goes into preserving this place. I will be coming back! One of my photos includes membership prices if you are interested in becoming a member too. There is also a student discount membership. Just $30 per year for year-round admission. I'd also add, for the sake of any newcomers reading this: the Pinecrest Gardens share a (very beautiful and shady) parking lot with the Pinecrest Library and Community Center. Don't forget to check those out. All three buildings/organizations host a variety of events, programs, and activities for free or at low cost. The Pinecrest community center also contains a well-stocked, modern, and clean small gym. EVERYONE I encountered was friendly and helpful.

We visited this gem, on a Sunday after visiting the wonderful food and artisan fair in front of the Garden. It was noon, and as all fairs it was boisterous and such fun! Then, we entered the Gardens. The silence was so calming, only interrupted on a turn of the winding path, by hearing the water ripple of little ponds, the wonderful shade vegetation! It was so peaceful, and gorgeous!! Walking through we actually whispered to each other, so as not to interrupt the feeling. Pinecrest Gardens is one of the best shade gardens I ever visited! A few days later, we visited Forest and Field of Light by renowned British artist Bruce Munro, held in Pinecrest’s serene garden. Best experience ever! To have enjoyed the garden during the day, with the sunshine glimmering through the shade vegetation, and then to see the garden at night, AND the 6,000 fiber-optic illuminated stemmed glass spheres was astounding!. I found information in the "Secret Miami" website.

I visited Pinecrest Gardens a few weeks ago for a baby shower. Before this, the last time I had been here was when it was Parrot Jungle. That being said, I loved the fact that the entrance prices are so cheap ($5 or so), loved that the gardens were very well kept, and the on-site venue that they rent out for baby showers, weddings, birthdays, etc is so stinking cute. Over all it’s a peaceful place and definitely somewhere I will be visiting again.

I’ve been going to pinecrest gardens since I was about 7 and I love going each time. Now I get to take my nephews and niece. I went earlier this year after a couple of years not going, and got surprised to see a lot of renovations. They updated the playground and petting zoo area and it’s much more accessible and presentable than how it was before. They still have the water splash area for kids. There are tables by the Splash Play area to have lunch. They also sell food by the playground area. This is a great place for adults and children of all ages. There’s a lot of trees in the “trail” so you get a lot of shade. I believe the entrance fee is $5 for adults and $3 for children (children under 5 if I’m not mistaken get in free) Strollers and coolers are allowed. I don’t think pets are allowed 🤷🏻‍♀️I’ve never seen dogs or pets there, the times I’ve gone. But all in all, I never get tired of coming to this place.

We went there on a weekday and it was empty! We’ve had a great time with the family. Their playground is awesome and the splash area is super fun for the kids. Will definitely be back. Bring mosquito spray!!

I absolutely loved this place. On vacation in Miami, on our last day, I took the kids to Pinecrest as a time killer waiting for later in the day to go check in for the flight back home. I wish we could have had more time. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Everything was beautiful. The strangler figs in the center were amazing. The animal and plant life were so enjoyable. I could walk through the habitat area and just imagine how wonderful it would be to have such a lush place iny back yard like that. I will definitely visit again when I have an entire day to play. The playground was an awesome spot for the kids to let off some steam. They even have water play area but we did not get to partake in. It would have been nice because it was hot. I really did love it. Can't wait to get a chance to go again.

Beautiful gardens and facilities on the grounds of the original Parrot Jungle. Provides a great respite from Miami's hustle and bustle for only a $5 entry fee.

An absolute dream adventure..my family visited on a Saturday and it was absolutely wonderful. It was not crowded. The kids got to enjoy the splash pad and the park. The small zoo was a added bonus. It was a well spent Saturday adventure. I'll definitely be back. This is now one of my favorite spots to visit with my family.

100% worth coming on a layover. Inexpensive and so much fun!! There is so much for kids to do and see. Great for adults too. I'm so glad we decided to come here for the afternoon while we wait for our next flight. The Uber was maybe $35 from the airport but so worth it!!!
