This is your standard Homewood suites. The rooms are spacious and clean bed was comfy. Only got to spend one night here so I didn't get a chance to check out the breakfast or the evening reception. Valet parking is only option which is a little pricey but very convenient. And if you're on a high enough floor, you can barely see the water

Ah, it’s really hard to write a constructive review because we always want to hear about the good things. Let’s give this a try. Lots of areas can be approved. Going into my second week here now, some problems and ways to improve: 1. Shower never reaches warm or hot. Always cold and maybe at best a few minutes of lukewarm temperature before returning to cold. It’s been hard to enjoy shower every night since my first day here. 2. AC leaks and has been leaking. Honestly thought that this wouldn’t be a problem but I just discovered that the carpet is really wet and is now problematic. 3. Wifi could be better. It’s not fast and sometimes connections drop. 4. There’s no ground floor lobby. Entrance is through the valet parking which is a bit weird. 5. Not a huge deal, but the bay view rooms face the train and you hear noises quite frequently. Now, on to the good things: 1. Staff is nice and friendly — always happy to help. 2. Breakfast is nice and there are a few options to pick from. 3. Good toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and mouthwash to get for an extended stay. It’s been an okay experience. Seems like the issues stem from the building itself and not so sure if it’s controllable by the staff. Okay place for an extended stay but I wonder if there are better options.

Great location, we were there for 1 night prior to a cruise. Breakfast had plenty of options. Walking distance to a Walgreens and Publix. Kitchen was nice but did not use. Only issue we had was low battery chirp on the smoke detector and to pack and change rooms in the middle of the night.

My go to place when I come to stay in Downtown/Brickell Miami. This hotel has very clean rooms with great valet parking. It's very close to the city without being directly in the city dealing with traffic or anything. If you're coming here either for a short or long stay I definitely recomend this hotel.

I want to say a huge thank you for the service in your hotel, especially I want to thank the housekeeping manager Marina Ivanova. Marina is very friendly and professional, we had a great service thanks to her, she is a very responsible and professional employee, and it is thanks to such personalities that you want to return to your hotel again and again. Will recommend to all friends to go to you, thanks for the best experience.

This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean. The service is somewhat great. I love the location, but there's no free parking at the hotel. It's a nice place to stay.

Great experience for a great value. Location is amazing. It’s right in the heart of Brickell. We had nice and clean room. Warm and accommodating staff that makes you feel welcomed. Thumbs up to Marina in housekeeping department. She went above and beyond to provide high level service and made sure we have all we need. That’s when you really feel like you are in vacation. Definitely coming back.

"If your friend comes into the room, we will call the cops. How about that?" "Get off my property!" Yes - you might hear those words from a Hilton property. No kidding. I booked a room as a gift for my friend 11/14 - 11/17, adding her name so she could check in (as instructed by Hilton representative). It was late at night, around 11:30PM, and the greeter decided to treat her like absolute garbage. Not understanding Hilton's policy, the greeter refused to check her in, threatened to call the cops, and canceled the room, leaving a young lady alone in a strange city, full of distress & confusion. She panicked, tried to book the hotel again herself, or any place to stay, but it was past midnight, so she couldn't. Hilton people there were mean, they couldn't care less about her being alone at midnight without a place, if she could get robbed or assaulted wandering on the street - all they asked was for her to leave... A general manager at the property called today, apologized for the mistake, and offered a complimentary night for that incident. Thank you for at least having someone who acknowledged the problem. The complimentary night - I have no comment... The damage is done though. It was an awful night, I just wished people could be less mean and more understanding. I'm scared to think that this is what happened at a Hilton Property...

I particularly asked for a quiet room. We were placed almost on the train tracks. It is not BAY view. It it is TRAIN view. I have a toddler who is sensitive to noise and we had the noise machine on full blast and we all had trouble sleeping. After we checked in, and I saw the trains outside the window, I asked the staff to move us to another side of the building with less noise. They said that the best they could do was to wait until tomorrow and move us then. Although they didn’t remedy the problem, the staff was very friendly and did give us some honors points. That is the reason for that 2 points in rating (that and they had a nice Wednesday social). The sleeping arrangements were also problematic. There is an AC vent right above the sleeper sofa. I didn’t notice that when my toddler slept there. The next morning, he woke up with a cold. The cold air had been blowing in his face the whole night. We were very dissatisfied. We were supposed to stay for two nights but we checked out early. This was our first really bad experience with Hilton. P.S. for management- we were in room 811 from 2/22 to 2/23

We stayed here for Rolling Loud weekend and will never come back. It's a nice hotel, it was clean and comfortable. However, I am making this review 2 stars based on the customer service we experienced from the manager. We were given keys to a different room than we were staying in due to our shower not working. We were told we would have this room until check out, but a day or 2 after being given the room we went down to our "shower room" being emptied of all our products. There was about $300-$400 worth of products in there, and when we brought this to their attention they told us all they could do is take off valet ($50 total). I asked for the manager's number, but never got a callback, so I went down this morning to speak with him about the situation and to find a fair solution. Mr. Charlie Ortigosa is the manager here, and he came out seemingly in a mood already. He told me he called us and our room, which we never received. He then cut me off after barely hearing the situation and told me I had 2 options, either to accept the $50 valet deducted or to leave due to me being "clearly unhappy with my stay". I found this to be a very rude way to go about righting a wrong, I can only imagine it was due to me appearing to be young so the concern just wasn't there for Mr.Ortigosa. He told me that "your toiletries were about empty either way so I won't be paying for them". 1/2 of our products in the bathroom were purchased for this trip and are nowhere near being empty. I told him that, and of course, he did not care. Shame on Charlie Ortigosa and Hilton for treating their guests this way.

Loved our stay at the Homewood Suites- staff were very welcoming and accommodating! We were staying over for a few days before our disney cruise to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary (with the kiddos) and they left a champagne in the room for us with a lovely note! Breakfast was hot and good as always- our room was very spacious , kids loved the pool (very small but not crowded and perfect for kids).. it also helped that the hotel was waking distance to publix grocery store and restaurants! There is a train track right across from the hotel and the trains but it didn’t bother us at all. Highly recommend!

I don't love writing one-star reviews, but if it can help someone else avoid our mistake, well then it was worth it. Homewood Suites Brickell is pretty bad. I travel frequently and this is among the worst ever experienced. We spoke to the manager about our issues and he was very responsive and a really super guy. He seems pretty competent, so I am guessing the issues are deeper than he is empowered to fix. He comped us for 1 night, which was appropriate, but frankly, I would have rather paid and had a positive experience. Here's the list: - pots were dirty with burn marks - utensil holder was disgustingly dirty - small table had dried sunscreen (?) dripped down the side - previous guest's food was still in the freezer - lots of food crumbs under the couch cushion (you could have had a full meal) - toilet paper holder would spin 360 - bath towel holder was ripping out of the wall - maid service forgot to leave kitchen cleaning supplies (sponge, dishwasher tab, kitchen towel, etc.) - shredded carpet where it met the bathroom - damaged furniture - soiled couch Extra Credit!! - NO HOT WATER from 9am-10am, which they told me is a known problem on the 3rd floor (we were in 310) Read the other one-star reviews and find a different hotel. It's really not up to Hilton quality.

The rooms are nice, but the staff don't have the tools to give good customer service. Our daughter threw up in bed the first night and we requested new sheets for the king bed. All they had were sheets for the pull out couch. That's fine, it was late, but the next day we requested our room to be cleaned and to get new sheets. All they did was change our towels and make the bed. When we asked why later that day we were told they don't have sheets in house for the king. They send their sheets out to be cleaned and don't keep spares. We have been basically sleeping on a bare mattress ever since. They don't even have matress protectors on the mattresses, only on the pull out. And don't get me started on the attitude I got from the front desk when we asked for sheets.

The front desk staff are super nice! Overall great service. I will surely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

I'm a loyal Hilton traveler. I've worked for Hilton (Embassy Suites) and continue to patronize Hilton properties, but this is probably THE WORST that I've stayed in. Hilton and Homewood Suites should really reconsider having this property in their portfolio. It's in total disrepair. Rooms weren't cleaned well; beds made messily, ceiling fan blades had thick dust indicating that they hadn't been cleaned in months, light switches didn't work properly, and tables and chairs were in need of repairs or replacement. There was no hot water in our room. We were given an additional room to shower in, but even though there was hot water in that room, it made a horrendous noise when we turned the shower on. There was only 1 washcloth in either room, there were 3 people in our party. The ice maker wasn't working in either room or the main ice machine. In the 1st room, the refrigerator never got cold or made ice. In the 2nd room, the ice maker came on, but when I stuck my hand in the bin to get ice, it was just a bin full of water! By the next morning, it was frozen, but it was just a block of ice... still no ice that I could use. I spoke with the front desk agent upon check-out and he clearly had no concern about my complaints. He handed me a business card for the manager and sent me on my way. I'm not sure what happened to Hilton/Homewood Suites 100% Guarantee, but the only guarantee that I got from this hotel was a miserable night! I'm glad we were there for only 1 night; there are so many hotels in the Downtown Miami area, DON'T STAY HERE!!!

I’m glad I didn’t listen to all the negative reviews. I stayed here for one night and it was great. The room is big and clean, the water pressure was fine, the front desk staff could be better trained but they were pleasant. Yes the pool is broken. From reading other reviews it sounds like an ongoing issue. And due to the coronavirus there was no hot breakfast, but that’s been the case at every hotel I’ve stayed at during the pandemic. If you were looking for a affordable and convenient place to stay in the area, you have found it.

Spacious rooms and friendly and helpful service. The morning breakfast is pretty good. Eggs, bacon, waffles, coffee and juices. Only nit is that the wifi can be slow and spotty. Otherwise, it's a great property. They even have complimentary washers and dryers. Great value!

Pool wasn't working and the bathroom was a little abused. The bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable Hilton I've been in. Avoid the 5th floor ans maybe you will have better luck.

Spacious room and conveniently located to reach Port of Miami the next day. But I would never recommend breakfast in; absolutely disgusting. They might as well remove the service and charge 10 bucks less a head in the nightly rate. Do everyone a favour.

Our stay at Homewood suites was pretty good. The location was in the center of everything by we wanted to do. The room was nice enough and functional for us. I'm 6'4 and the beds were comfortable. Room has a nice view of the city. The parking attendants were great; very nice. Despite the daily parking charge, we still tipped them because they were so helpful. Most of them do not speak English but Google translate fixed that challenge really quick. If you decide to stay here, there are a few tips I wish the front desk would have shared. 1.The cook top doesn't automatically work. Look for the safety timer switch on the wall, it's built in to keep guest from forgetting to turn off the cook top. We found this out 3 days in and after buying a few things to cook in the room. Because we found this out so late in the week, we have any unused items to the parking attendants versus leaving it for housekeeping to throw away. 2. The ice maker in the room is a bit loud when it is making ice. During our first night, we both woke up because we thought someone was knocking on the door at 3 in the morning. Nope... it was the ice maker! 3. Learn what the light switches on each wall control... one controls all of the power for the room and we found this out after turning off the TV and A/C several times. Maintenance confirmed this after we notified the front desk of the warmth in the room. 4. Download the Hilton Honors app, very cool to not worry about a room key. Especially when most people have their phones in their hands all the time. 5. This location has FREE self service laundry, which we used 3 times during the week. 6. Breakfast provided. It's not great but it's not bad either. 7. Location has a small market to get some quick essential items if you don't feel like going back out. 8. BIG PLUS - THIS LOCATION HAS AN AMAZON LOCKER/HUB On SITE!!!!! Gas stations, grocery stores, dining options and even pharmacies are all within quick walking distance or a very short drive. Friendly staff all the way around. Just waiting for our room deposit refund and we'll leave this review at 5 stars. We will definitely consider this location AND #HomewoodSuites again! #Brickell #Downtown #Miami

We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay here. Let me start by saying that the front desk named Marie (I hope I spelled it right) is amazing from assisting us and explaining things to us. We were really impressed with the room we stayed in. It has 2 beds, sofa bed, very spacious and well equipped kitchenette. The breakfast included in our stay is a big plus. We recommend this place for a family vacation. We are 4 adults and one teenager, and the room is perfect for all of us.

Had an amazing honeymoon stay! Wanted something close to our cruise port, and this was a great location. MARKUS ROCKED and could not give him enough praise. Helped us find great spots for us to check out and dine at, and was very responsive and helpful for our Honeymoon stay. Loved the hotel, but he would be the reason we come back.

I booked through Booking.com and paid for a king suite. We were put in a room with two queens and then informed there were no king beds available at that moment because they were currently being cleaned and the maids were about to leave. The lady at the desk had no common sense or sympathy towards this unprofessional situation and asked me "If you want the king suite you will have to wait until it's ready." Obviously I want the room I PAID for. We waited for our correct room for an hour. I sat there wondering if we came there an hour later when the maids left, were we not going to get our correct room? The fact they put me in a room with two queens like I wasn't going to say something about it shocks me. And I was not compensated for this major inconvenience at all. No discount or welcome basket- nothing. I had a reservation for dinner, and when you're traveling, everything is time sensitive. I was not apologized to once. The room was clean and nice- I did find a long hair in the tub, so it wasn't perfect. Anyways, would never stay here again because you have to get reservations right! I felt scammed, especially because they put me in a room with two queens when my booking called for a king suite. No customer service nor compensation. An apology and small compensation would've made it okay. But nothing. Will spend a few extra bucks on a better rated hotel next time.

Meet my expectations. Room clean, small kitchenette with some pots, large refrigerator, free washer and dryers, small pool (but was a swim spa), and great breakfast. Negative was the valet parking. The fact you have no choice but to use it. No public parking anywhere. You get charged the fee for valet parking AND a parking surplus fee as well. Ends up being $28.50 for parking each day.

This place was excellent. The location for us was very good. There were 10 of us taking a cruise the next day. The rooms were large and clean. The parking was easy. The breakfast we good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Really nice, clean rooms, suites to accommodate my family of 6, very helpful staff, and a nice breakfast. The pool was small but well maintained. Convenient walk of less than a half mile to the public transportation rail system station. There were a few issues: the shower head leaked and the toilet paper holder was broken. Minor stuff, but a little subpar for Hilton standards

Overall good hotel. Friendly staff. Nice happy hour and breakfast. Large room. My issue was around check out. The first person came by at 10:55, then 11:10, then 11:30 then 11:35. This is the first time I have ever experienced anything like this. Especially as a gold member. It was very annoying.

Rooms were clean but I need of refreshing paint. Towel bars and toilet paper holder falling out of the wall. And had a small pool for the size of the hotel

  • 4/5 Bryan H. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to stay, especially for the price point. Glad they had free washers and dryers, but they need some maintenance (users be cautious). Fitness center was good enough. Pool isn't worth visiting as it's just a giant bathtub. Maybe little kids splashing in it may be fun. Breakfast was good enough. Waffles and water was all I needed. Managers Social is not very good. For what they offer, it should be done every night. The buildup to Wednesday just sets guests up for a major, major let down.

One of my most comfortable and enjoyable hotel stays. The people working there are all very, very helpful and nice, we had no issues with anyone. To accompany the very unique look of the hotel, there is a pool with a bar next to it, both very good looking with a relaxed feeling to them.

My car door was damaged while parked overnight at the valet garage. I called the front desk the same day I checked out after noticing the damage. The front desk employee asked my number and promised to call me back with valet supervisor's info but never did. In addition, room 316 bathroom faucet did not run cold water, there was only hot water running out of that faucet. Comforter smelled bad. Wifi signal was also weak in room 316. Only positive was that the front desk employees were friendly and welcoming at check-in.

Trust me right now when i tell you this place is disgusting. I wanted to make a nice me day for my parents but they were disappointed when they saw there hotel and the location was absolutely DISGUSTING. i warn you now this is more like a hit and run hotel im so sorry but you either improve your maintenance and quality or you will never get a satisfied paying customer.

Stayed at the hotel during a family vacation to Miami and despite the pool being out of service for a couple of days while we were there, they eventually opened it, I still gave this hotel a 5 star rating. The staff was great, cleanliness of the hotel and room was great as well, the morning breakfast was delicious and they had a pretty big selection of breakfast food. The hotel is conveniently located in a good spot in downtown Miami. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Miami.

Excellent room and great location. If you don’t like valet parking, well that seems to be the deal, but the guys doing it, are extremely friendly and doing a great job. Generally, competent, helpful and great people all over the place!

I was a resident of Miami for 38 years, and moved away in 2020. This was my first trip back, and I found this hotel to be exactly what I was hoping to find. Clean, comfortable, uncomplicated, super-conveniently located, and well-run by the management and staff. As it was less than a mile from my old home, I look forward to my next stay there. I highly recommend it; great value-for-money as well, in a town that can get expensive.

Hotel is not convenient if you don't have a car and need to walk to restaurants etc. Breakfast was great but crowded if you go late. Room was clean but a little run down. No hangers in the closet and we forgot a toothbrush but they didn't have any. Room seemed kind of dark. Lights seemed to have very low watt bulbs in them. Hallways dark too. Bathroom was pretty nice but toilet paper holder was about to fall off. I would still recommend this hotel as what I saw as problems were just little things. The price was good and the room big with 2 large TVs.

Staying here made me want to revoke my diamond membership and stay away from Hilton forever. Where to begin. 1. Room wasn't ready when they promised, so we had to wait in the lobby with all our luggage for a very long time. 2. The breakfast was one of the worst I've had at a hotel. They said breakfast until 10 AM but ran out of food at 9:30 and refused to cook more. 3. The staff serving the breakfast was rude to every guest I saw them interact with. They patronized all guest and seemed annoyed and unhappy that we were staying at their hotel. This was what really got to me and my group. We have never seen such poor customer service at any hotel we've ever stayed at. 4. They refused to give us late checkout, but, as mentioned before, no issue with giving us late check-in Seriously considering never staying at a Hilton again.

I was there for several nights for a men's conference. First time there. My room was perfect. Clean. Nice layout. The housekeeping staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff was perfect. Met the manager as well. They all work together to make it a great stay. Thank you Hilton Homewood Brickell!

I called the front desk to complain of the room temperature. I explained that room has a constant vent blowing cold air from above. I attempted to have thermostat to go to 80 degrades, but does not go above 72 degrees. The constant blower on the ceiling wall made it impossible to get warm in the room. So it was always cold. I asked to get a blanket and staff replied, "I don't have any blankets right now but I can give you extra sheets." So I went to Target and bought blankets to sleep. What made it worse was the plastic that wrapped the mattress. It made the bed very cold. It even made it hard to get comfortable. The breakfast that was provided, I won't even complain about it. It's whatever. I'm just disappointed as I try to stay true to the Hilton brand. My loyalty even made me buy into the Hilton Grand Vacations.

hotel location is great as far as proximity to Brickell is concerned. However, it is right next to the train and noise, especially if you are on the side of the train, the noise will easily wake you up at 6 in the morning. The room is nice and clean and space is comfortable. However, the biggest problem with the hotel is that the breakfast is really low quality and after the first day I never even tried it. Given the noise from the rail system and the really low quality breakfast, I cannot give more that a 2 star rating

  • 2/5 Reisen I. 2 years ago on Google
It's alright for a hotel, but for the prices it should be much better than it is. The rooms have no porches. The bathrooms have no fans so you're stuck leaving the bathroom door open so it doesn't get extremely stuffy which is uncomfortable. There's no washer or dryer in the rooms, and they only supply two washers and two dryers for the entire hotel to use. There's also no oven in the units. The mattresses and pillows aren't very comfortable. The person at the desk is normally fine but sometimes they give you attitude - I noticed at night they tend to be a bit ruder. The location is okay, kind of in the outskirts of Brickell and is like a 15 minute walk to get back in Brickell. If you're desperate it's not an awful stay but it definitely is overpriced for what you're getting.
