This train station looks like a dump. God forbid that you need to use the restroom, it feels unsafe with all the homeless showering in the restroom sink. And to add to my previous review, look what a great job Daniella Cava is doing with Miami. Escalators and elevator never working.

They are fixing the lobby to the Stephen P. Clarke Government Center. That is a good thing. That may take a while. But the entrance fro the east side is horrible! Look at the photos.

The African American ladies who are there to give you information have no idea of what they are doing. First of all they I said 3 times good morning! They don't even said anything , second they send to the wrong building. Try to hire more efficient people

We went on a cruise and we took the trolly from the cruise port to government center station. We only paid $2.25 for a one way and the employees were super friendly and helpful at this station. Take the orange line to the airport. We made it to the airport in no time and saved money. Totally recommend using this means of transportation.

Got the golden glove treatment from this security supervisor who escorted me up to the tracks with my luggage. It was late at night and the elevators did not work. Security is top of mind at this station along with incredible Southern hospitality.

None of the entities are public servants that are supposed to be there to assist in helping you get or direct you to proper personnel for assistance, let alone the fact that the office may not even be open with someone in the office to help you at most times

Their policies need work, the amount of time it takes to get placement needs work, the hole system needs work to be honest. I've heard some people have been waiting upwards of a couple of months to get in.

Clean , organized.. As it should be. Safe as all stations are. Keep your head on a swivel anyways , while out.. cause these days . It helps to just always LOOK BACK AT where you sat..stood .You may find you left/dropped something behind. Maybe not. Bath rooms aren't for nothing but emergencies .. Some rail stations bathroom areas for men aren't great. Helpful but not the best conditions." A few- but not all ,rail stations bathrooms.

Lots of homeless, feels unsafe and dirty. The City has to get their act together and clean up this neighborhood, it's the heart of all Public offices for Miami and Dade County. Come on !

Government center station will connect you to the metro rail and metro mover. It could use a lot of improvement but that seems to be coming with virgin trains and hopefully translates into public transport too.

Can go so many places from this one location! It's dirty outside though. And not to long ago I literally ran into the glass window next to the door because it was so clean and clear. Had to get stitches. Lol. True story.

Very clean and orderly. Staff and security are very helpful. The metro lines are not that long so getting to the next stop or destination within the city core is quick.

I love that everything is very clean, but I missed four stations from where I was going because the train horn is in English and what is written on the screen is not the name of the station

Fine public transportation hub. I work all day and hours. So on Sundays it's a little longer to wait to travel

Paying for the bus with a non US credit card is impossible. It is not possible to get your card activated for contactless travel with non US card. Probably just a stupid mistake or a bug but makes using the bus a hazzle. This is a management problem. Someone is not doing their job.

The government center station the tiles they have outside where everybody walks are very dangerous! because when it rains they become very slippery and people can fall. I don't know who was the genius that put these tiles out in the walking area

Catching the train station at a no hassle pace is government center. Not only is it in the heart of down town north Miami. but it's cool and affordable for travellers to travel at a fast but steady pace.

Used to go through here every day to commute to college. Don't know how to rate a train stop, but I mean, it's a nice environment. I actually do enjoy riding the train to places for the hell of it.

Central hub for transit around, to and from Miami. Can be confusing at times finding the right location for bus transit, but will get you anywhere you want to go or close to your destination within 30mins to an hour in and around Miami- Dade County. But the realistic time is more like an hour of you have to go far and within 30 minutes if a short distance, plus all the info you need to travel on public transit can be located inside.

Clean, great access to the Metromover and Metrorail. Too many homeless people near the bottom and in the back near the bus stops. Always a police presence there. A good thing.

This is a nice place to visit. There is a restaurant upstairs and a small cafΓ© and sandwiches deli with juices and diverse pastries where you can even purchase a cup or bowl of soup for a small price. You can't beat that! Go for it, you'll like it.

The experience that I received as a veteran Army with the veterans Patriot passport office has always been one of the best the county employers as well as the security officer have all the needed skills by doing their job orienting people on what to bring in order to have the service provided thanks to all for making this day a very easy one.

A good stop to buy a day-pass or a weekly- pass. However: The mens restroom is in dire need of an overhaul/remodel job as it is a shambles, with poorly closing stall doors,a missing toilet seat, broken sinks, etc. Sad to see these things first hand. Come on Miami you can provide better facilities! And adding a complaint- there is no place downtown having a public restroom, shameful!

As a public transportation commuter, I recently had to renew my annual bus pass at the Golden Passport Office inside the "Government Center". Typically, my in-person customer service experiences here in Miami-Dade county are usually poor due to language barriers and personal bias(es), so, when I tell you there was this one stationed security guard by the name of "Unique" who was SO helpful to EVERY customer that walked through the doorway.πŸ™ŒπŸΎβœ¨ She approached each customer with a level-head and was able to provide quick, competent answers to any, and all our questions and concerns. It was hard to believe she was only a building security guard, and not the office Supervisor... the way she took full charge and command of the flow. PROACTIVE... I liked her style. She gave me, and others who it applies to, pointers on how to go about THIS process, THAT process, WHAT to avoid, and WHO to speak with. I personally, needed instruction what was needed from me in order to renew my annual bus pass which had recently expired. She provided me a hard copy print-out of the two *specific* required documents from the IRS in addition to my personal identification cards that were needed. She single-handedly gave me ALL this information while waiting in line for a available office representative. The line THAT day was the shortest I've ever seen it. With only three people ahead of me, I stood there in line reflecting on how glad I was with how my overall day turned out. Typically, all 16+ seats are occupied and there's still a line out the doorway... with no approachable staff to help assist... well, I lucked-up THAT day. Her comprehensible insight knowledge on how to go-about whatever it was we were trying to accomplish was the Game-Changer for me. She knew the proper order and policy procedures, in my opinion, that makes her valuable in the workplace... especially to us English-speaking people. I didn't have to paraphrase the same statement several times in order for her to comprehend. She understood because she too, was also Black American and that was just a nice thing to see, representation of yourself... especially when you're constantly reminded you're a minority. I felt compelled to inform her Supervisor she gave me the best customer experience I've had IN A LONG A** TIME. I left a hand-written review with her to give to her Supervisor to let him know that it was greatly appreciated that she was willing to assist us customers... going beyond her actual job description, in order to accommodate any and all. She was more than appreciative of this modest gesture... but, it truly was a like-wise exchange. This kind of employee conduct is something that needs to be recognized and awarded whenever possible in order to dissipate the minimum effort that's commonly given. I hope that hand-written review reaches the right desk... she's a Keeper.

The metro mover breaks down on the weekends, for some reason, and at government center there are a lot of homeless outside, because the green shirts work in the same building down stairs, the green shirts are a group of hired people whos job is to help the homeless, but as of a few months ago all funding for shelters and homeless assistance has been cut off,so everything is kinda going to sh!t.but the trains are nice when you can use them.

Miami's transit system has great potential. Now, if a single bus could be on time, you'd really have something. Maybe the metro is in cahoots with Uber.

I was there for a metro pass and it went flawless. Fast and was out of there within minutes. The person that assisted me was also very professional and courteous.
