As
a
public
transportation
commuter,
I
recently
had
to
renew
my
annual
bus
pass
at
the
Golden
Passport
Office
inside
the
"Government
Center".
Typically,
my
in-person
customer
service
experiences
here
in
Miami-Dade
county
are
usually
poor
due
to
language
barriers
and
personal
bias(es),
so,
when
I
tell
you
there
was
this
one
stationed
security
guard
by
the
name
of
"Unique"
who
was
SO
helpful
to
EVERY
customer
that
walked
through
the
doorway.ππΎβ¨
She
approached
each
customer
with
a
level-head
and
was
able
to
provide
quick,
competent
answers
to
any,
and
all
our
questions
and
concerns.
It
was
hard
to
believe
she
was
only
a
building
security
guard,
and
not
the
office
Supervisor...
the
way
she
took
full
charge
and
command
of
the
flow.
PROACTIVE...
I
liked
her
style.
She
gave
me,
and
others
who
it
applies
to,
pointers
on
how
to
go
about
THIS
process,
THAT
process,
WHAT
to
avoid,
and
WHO
to
speak
with.
I
personally,
needed
instruction
what
was
needed
from
me
in
order
to
renew
my
annual
bus
pass
which
had
recently
expired.
She
provided
me
a
hard
copy
print-out
of
the
two
*specific*
required
documents
from
the
IRS
in
addition
to
my
personal
identification
cards
that
were
needed.
She
single-handedly
gave
me
ALL
this
information
while
waiting
in
line
for
a
available
office
representative.
The
line
THAT
day
was
the
shortest
I've
ever
seen
it.
With
only
three
people
ahead
of
me,
I
stood
there
in
line
reflecting
on
how
glad
I
was
with
how
my
overall
day
turned
out.
Typically,
all
16+
seats
are
occupied
and
there's
still
a
line
out
the
doorway...
with
no
approachable
staff
to
help
assist...
well,
I
lucked-up
THAT
day.
Her
comprehensible
insight
knowledge
on
how
to
go-about
whatever
it
was
we
were
trying
to
accomplish
was
the
Game-Changer
for
me.
She
knew
the
proper
order
and
policy
procedures,
in
my
opinion,
that
makes
her
valuable
in
the
workplace...
especially
to
us
English-speaking
people.
I
didn't
have
to
paraphrase
the
same
statement
several
times
in
order
for
her
to
comprehend.
She
understood
because
she
too,
was
also
Black
American
and
that
was
just
a
nice
thing
to
see,
representation
of
yourself...
especially
when
you're
constantly
reminded
you're
a
minority.
I
felt
compelled
to
inform
her
Supervisor
she
gave
me
the
best
customer
experience
I've
had
IN
A
LONG
A**
TIME.
I
left
a
hand-written
review
with
her
to
give
to
her
Supervisor
to
let
him
know
that
it
was
greatly
appreciated
that
she
was
willing
to
assist
us
customers...
going
beyond
her
actual
job
description,
in
order
to
accommodate
any
and
all.
She
was
more
than
appreciative
of
this
modest
gesture...
but,
it
truly
was
a
like-wise
exchange.
This
kind
of
employee
conduct
is
something
that
needs
to
be
recognized
and
awarded
whenever
possible
in
order
to
dissipate
the
minimum
effort
that's
commonly
given.
I
hope
that
hand-written
review
reaches
the
right
desk...
she's
a
Keeper.
