First time here and many more to come. The theater experience was awesome and especially when we were very close to the speaker and we were far away in the back. Great seats. They have many options for snacks and a lot of bathroom space for everyone to get the chance to use it.

The Art-Deco style impressed me. I was so sad that it feels almost like an abandoned place. Most of the shops are closed. Hoping it gets remodelled and someone brings life back to it. The vibes were very nice though, there is still beauty in decay, but some might not agree.

I used to love this place but I went today and it is almost empty, just a few places open. It looks like this place is about to shutdown.

it's such a beautiful place. I can only give it 3 stars because it is like a ghost town. nearly every store is closed and vacant. We hope merchants will move back there soon. lots of parking, beautiful water falls and places to and relax or go to a movie. I recommend for anyone to go there anyway and visit the "Tea % Poets" restaurant and store. Delightful

I grew up going to this mall since 2001. It was never upscale or fancy but was definitely very packed in the early 2000s. It's now nearly completely empty with probably 10 businesses open and nearly 40 out of business storefronts. There is absolutely no staff working there, probably less than 20 people at any given moment, just awful. There's no saving this place. They should just demolish it and turn it into housing.

The mall would be absolutely great if there were more than 2 stores open. This place had such an influx of life and activity when I was young, and loved going to it. Seeing the stairs and stores I used to run around with family in now empty and abandoned is saddening. Hopefully the mall gets a face-lift before it shuts down completely.

Unfortunately this mall has seen better days. Almost all shops are out of business. No restaurants either. I remember times when Niketown and the Virgin Record Store were having shops there. Only the bookstore Barnes & Noble seems to be hanging on ? Maybe it will be torn down eventually. Would be a good location for apartments. We went to see a movie . Showtime at 9 15 pm. We were the only people in the theater. Sad...

I am disabled and had not been to the movies in a decade (since 2013). This place is as amazing as I remember. Now, the movie theater has excellent leather recliners to enjoy the movie in total comfort. Their Dolby experience is spectacular. Parking is super easy on the 3rd floor, and it is ADA compliant for me and my wheelchair. My son took me to watch Haunted Mansion and it was fabulous. I give it 10 stars to visit Sunset Place Movie Theater.

Most shops were closed and the burrito/taco place wasn't very good. I could not recommend this place.

The Art work in this shopping plaza are all so amazing. There is Barnes and Noble, Amc movie theatre and a neat bowling alley/ restaurant, Gaming Arcade, a cute hippie store/cafe and a candy store. There are a few other shops and restaurants but for the most part this plaza is a ghosttown. Johnny Rockets is always fun and there is a children's play center for parties and events. There is a ballroom dance studio and a gym. The metro rail is across the street and easily accessible.

Great place to hang out with family and friends, is a bit outdated but all clean and beautiful, we love the different activities the place has to offer, and the cinema is huge and very well preserved

A good mall, the only problem is that it is kind of dead, there are three main places: AMC(movie theater), Game time(arcade), and Barnes and Noble(book store). Other than these there are small shops and cafes and other things, but it is mostly empty. I will say however, the three that I mentioned do make it worth it to come.

This place is: HUGE, LUXURY and FRIENDLY for anyone. You can find the very vest shops you need it: luxury watches, elegant clothes, special candies, etc. You won’t be attack by sellers, they respect your space when you’re walking. During the day of during the night the environment is really nice to stay, it is not a noise place. The smell of the air it’s good. You can visit this apple store, the customer service is quite good and fast. You will find a different kind of restaurants on 3 floor (with different prices, not only expensive so is really good for a group of friends to hang out). I didn’t test the bathrooms because I didn’t see it easily, I hope there gonna be in good conditions. The parking lots are enough around the Mall, you need to walk just a little bit to get it. (Better use your GPS to comeback at night to your space, just saying) Overall: this is a good experience to different situations. I recommend it.

Interesting places. The arcade is nice, not as big as Dave and Buster's but not as crowded either. Paint-it yourself pottery store that looked very nice. Movie theaters. However, several business have closed down.

This is a nice outdoor shopping center which is slowly dying out. I suspect nearly everyone who comes here now is going to GameTime. Nearly all of the stores have closed, even Buffalo Wild Wings and the large candy store. That said... It's a nice place to hang out and it's patrolled by security. It's far less crowded than other parts of Miami, so it's a good option if you're trying to have a little personal space with your night out.

I am being nice giving this place 3 stars. This was once a very busy place. I remember when it opened. There was a Rainforest Cafe here at the entrance. It has gone the same as way other malls have gone in Miami and around the country. What is populated in here is LA fitness and some other renters taking up huge parts of the mall. But there is not much reason to go and you still have to pay to park. Shame because it has some interesting architecture. Coco Walk area has probably taken many customers from here. Maybe if the owners would try to bring over restaurants and bars from the Coco Walk area it can have a comeback but I doubt they will put to much energy into revitalizing it. Most like waiting on a condo developer to buy it out.

The Shops at Sunset is a ghost town. There is nothing to do or anywhere to eat. This was once a go to place to hangout and shop. No more. Others than a handful of shops and child talent training, most of the place is empty. Sad.

I've been coming to this Mall since I was 13 Years old and I'm currently 35. This mall has been my backbone to my childhood, teenage years and adults. Between the restaurant and movies not once have I been unsatisfied. They change mega stores every several years which gives you variety and restaurants as well. Tea and Poets is the new place to relax after a long day at the mall and the LA Fitness GYM is no joke too. I would advise if you never been to this Mall to go see it yourself.

Be aware that there is no free parking when you go to the movies, only a discount of $2 when validated, and the discount applies when you have less than 3 hours. There is no information sign about it anywhere..🤷‍♀️🤐

Went to the movies on July 4th. The shops are a ghost town. The theater looks good but everything else looks worse for wear

The movie theater is practically the only thing left in this place. There are a few stores but Sunset Place isn't even a shadow of what it was even 5 - 6 years ago.

Being raised in Miami, subset okace had always been a nice getaway. The only thing left is the movie theater, game time , and a couple other places. Nothing to see nothing to do. Ran down and Very outdated… I’m so surprised and saddened that my child would not have the childhood experiences at Sunset place that I did.

I don't know what happened here, but yikes. All that's left is Barnes and Noble, and even that is lackluster compared to other local branches of the store. Sad to see the mall sitting as blight.

Nice outside mall. Has Game Time which is similar to Dave n Busters and there Bar B Q ribs are to die for. There's also an AMC Theater. Other shops and restaurants. Covered paid parking.

I can't remember last I went here but I did go see the movie Voyage to something and also The Meg 2. It was nice and chill with little to no one during the summer but I felt safe. As long as there is someone to notify just in case something happens.

The place is clean, but the weekend parking fee could be tiered differently, to make it more affordable..... The movie theater is expensive enough already, to have to add $8 on top, for parking...

  • 5/5 Michael P. 1 year ago on Google
They got an AMC 24 movie theater and they got video arcade game center to call it time out and across the street they do have a food market call it Whole Foods Market so you can get great food.

The only reason this place is alive is because of Barnes and Noble, Just for Fun, and Gametime the AMC is 🤢 disgusting seats are gross and the place is out dated. The place is a ghost town no stores I don’t know why they just don’t close this place down and make something nicer. It’s in South Miami close to UM you would think they would upgrade this place 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sunset Mall is a place where you can enjoy live music, shopping. Unfortunately some changes are on the way and the place cannot be the same as months ago.

This was a neat little spot. Many of the shops have gone outof business, but its a cool place and nice area to get some photos if you're doing photography.

Great location and stores. One of the best movie theaters is inside 3rd floor, AMC Sunset Place.

I've always liked this mall because it reminds me of a castle. It's too bad it won't be around much longer. Hopefully, I'll get to visit a few more times before it's torn down or whatever.

This place is so boring omg... You have nothing to do in this place other than go to the AMC and eat something.

  • 3/5 Martin C. 2 years ago on Google
Still a nice place to visit, however it's half dead just like quite a few other older Mall locations in town. Hard Times all over I guess even for the shopping. On the bright side the neighborhood that surround Sunset it's actually pretty Lively with quite a few shops of its own.

  • 3/5 Ellen Y. 2 years ago on Google
Sunset has slowly decreased in quality over the years. The stores they offer dwindled and now this mall doesn’t provide much for customers. The only thing going for them right now is the movie theater and Barnes and Nobles.

What a shame this place could be so much more like cocoa walk and coconut grove but unfortunately it has fallen into disrepair and needs to be reimagined and rehabilitated. That said the tacos are great at Taco genius

Caters to some good stuff, amc, game time etc.. Once used to be a fancy place but still gets a lot of traffic, maybe due to the Cinema and being close to University of Miami

  • 4/5 Baka H. 2 years ago on Google
This place is awesome, just struggling lately, shops closing etc. Between GameTime and the movies, bowling it's a pretty good all-in-one destination for a night of entertainment. Needs more options though, hopefully they bring down rent a bit so more shops and small entertainment can open, and a bit more control on the riffraff that sometimes comes through (been fights, stabbings, stealing, etc) with more security on premises.

  • 5/5 D R. 1 year ago on Google
I've been coming here for over 20 years. I love the layout. The stores have come and gone but the movie theaters have stayed and overall is a good flow to this place. It's surrounded by a bunch of nice areas so over all five stars

  • 2/5 Alex f. 1 year ago on Google
Only giving it 2 stars because of its past and its potential. This place used to be one of the best malls. There is probably less than 10 stores open in the whole mall and they are all about to close. Management here must be horrible. I can only imagine that they are trying to charge an arm and a leg for retail space even though everything is empty. Step one parking Hass to be free until further notice. Step to offer incentives for local businesses to move in. Step three make it more family friendly and do some thing to attract kids.

I only come here for the gym, the parking manager (with green hair ??) made me pay $8 because they’re ticket machine printed the day before instead of the correct date. I was only there for 30 minutes as well. This LA fitness is the only good one and is the only reason I come here, if not I would never come to this mall that is always basically dead. Most probably why she made me pay those $8 bc that’s the only way they can make any money by scamming the people that come here for the gym. It’s not about the $8 it’s about the principal.

Honestly my favorite mall in Florida. very fond memories. the food in the area is great. and the local businesses are amazing. just wish the mall was what it once was. it's still worth the visit and this mall deserves more TLC. if i knew anything about opening up a buisness I'd open up here.

Sunset feed is the best. I bought my XL Green Egg five years ago. My egg had a cracked on the outside. Sent a picture to Heather and she put in my claim for the great warranty Big Green carries. Picked up my base today. Would not buy a grill or smoker anywhere else.

  • 5/5 Bob T. 11 months ago on Google
Nice and clean spot that is across Whole Foods. The cinemas upstairs are nice, too. I heard from older residents that there were more restaurants here in the past. It is true that they have a limited selection of restaurants. But recall that you are in South Miami and there are plenty of high-end restaurants within walking distance.
