I grew up in South Dade, and going to the Cutler Ridge Mall (it's former name pre-Hurricane Andrew) was always a treat. Even with no money to spend, it was nice walk through and window shop. There was food, clothes and entertainment. After Andrew, it was redesigned and the remodel stripped the mall of most of its charm and attraction. Over the years it has gone down with high turnover in the shops and businesses inside. There are many empty places where businesses closed and no replacements came. The movie theater is a fairly good draw. The DSW is a decent choice for affordable shoes. The food court is decent with a variety of meal choices from subs to burgers to Chinese food. Aunt Annie's Pretzels is a go-to for me - an original pretzel and lemonade are my favorite! Living in South Dade, there is not much other choice for shopping, and the next nearest mall is all the way in Dadeland and prices there are astronomical. Unfortunately, pretty soon the mall will be no more. One of its main anchors (Sears) closed some time ago, and is in the midst of being torn down. The entire mall will be torn down in stages, and in its place is coming a "downtown South Dade" type of mixed use development. It's the end of an era, but not surprising as the mall had already declined past the point of no return from an economic standpoint. The pandemic seems to have been the nail in the coffin as the former owners went into foreclosure.

I love this Mall; I moved away from Cutler Bay; but I try to come back sometimes. The Easter Decoration looks beautiful and for Christmas it's always beautiful too. The Shops are good; the Food court is great and I like to shopping around in this Mall

Honestly this mall needs to be torn down and reconstructed there's always room for improvement and in their case they need a lot of it. From the old stores to even some of the newer ones that DON'T attract any customers. Its literally always empty there... Like lets add a Chic-fil-A and bring back some of those popular stores that really brought business.

Entered mall through southern end of mall. No difficulty entering and getting around. Asking what I was looking for and was directed to area where I could find what I needed. Got to store from public transportation route #1 easy access. 4-5 Buses park next to south end of mall routes 1, 38, 31, 35, 52. Sad since I did this review sears nor Kmart no longer exist as part of southland mall. With the pictures posted you can see what once was and no longer is southland mall since sears and Kmart left.

It hasn't changed much in the last 20 years. Still very spacious, hardly crowded, clean, well secured and well maintained. Needs more venues however. I would consider this a mall more for ladies than males. Not a lot of exciting fun stores.

Southland Mall seem to be trying to keep afloat. Foodcourt seems to be doing okay. Security need be a little observed during Holiday season or any give day for the safe of customers and them self.

There is a reason they are demolishing this mall. There are leaks in a bunch of the stores. You more than likely will find what you are looking for. I do not recommend eating at the restaurants in the food court. Parking is pretty decent.

They blocked the kid's play area, and now you have to pay for them to play, which is not cheap. I am horrified at how they are trying to make a profit from kids' happiness. No mall in South Miami charges for the kid's play area. And how about those who can’t afford it? Many kids only have this play area to play with other kids and make friends. Many times l take my daughter to play there, and l ended up going to the stores and buying something. The play area was my only reason for coming to the Southland Mall. Now, l will never return because this mall is dead and depressive. I’d rather drive some miles to another mall where my kid can play for free, and l will have more stores to spend my money in.

Convenient. Food court is ok . However this mall overall is important to our community. Let's keep it alive. I feel if we lose it, we lose a bit of Cutler Ridge . I know it's called Cutler Bay now but us old timers know the real name .And this mall represents a lot to the locals . Hope we can keep it up and going , because as we know brick and mortar is vanishing. So come shop once in a while. Support local jobs.

This mall has never been the since they changed it from the original mall. Back in the day I could count on finding something at Cutler ridge mall. Since they remolded the mall and changed it name in my opinion it has been garbage every since. I still go there hoping to find something but most times I leave with nothing. I would don't waist your time going there but just because I can't find anything does nor mean you won't. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

By just looking at the mall's photos online, the place looks decent. Sadly, there are many empty locals and the food court doesn't have many options.

I had a fantastic time experiencing the latest installment of Transformers at the Theatre! The stadium 🏟️ style seating was as perfect as the company the movie was shared with!

This mall ever since I've been coming here has been very nice. The people are friendly and the stores are great. You could spend at least several hours here looking around for products you like. The food courts are always good with variety and prices.

The mall has some basics (Food court, Victoria's Secret, JC Penney, Hot Topic, DSW, Five Below and TJ Maxx), but it also has a movie theater. It's usually quiet and rarely busy

Its nice just not many stores 😕 but shop here often

Although this used to be a very busy and thriving mall, it still has great options. There's TJMaxx, Beya, Five Below, Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, a great food court. However, it is sad to see that a lot of stores closed down. I used to love coming here as a kid, and I still do, it just feels different.

Shopped at TJ Maxx, my favorite discount store. In addition, I got a new battery for my watch at the watch repair in the middle section of the mall along with, stylish sun glasses. I browsed through sales and beautiful shoes at DSW. I also love going to Christian movies at the Southland Regal theatre. I get alot of things done in the nicely kept and well air conditioned ambiance. I recommend you visit!

Great location when you do not want to deal with a extremely big or busy mall. There are a few stores in this mall I absolutely love

Went to Cajun Grill for lunch the only thing I don't like about going to the mall to get food is you have to park so far because there no close parking. But I found a curbside spot and park there it usually be a security guard standing or sitting in a car in the front for you can't park there. The food was great and everything was freshly cook they just put fresh everything.

What is happening to our brick/mortar stores,? E-commerce is great...but nothing like experiencing and going shopping.

Just another mall with many empty storefronts. This was a great place in the mid to late 1980's. I don't think they survive another 5 years.

Surprisingly pleasant shopping experience. Small mall that had seen its fair share of the retail downturn. But great foodcourt with yummy options and black friday pricing at stores lile steps and jcpenney. Very pleasantly surprised. Clean, cool, comfy shopping experience with still lots of options like dsw and even a yummy diary queen inside!!!

Lacks variety of stores, always a low energy type of place. Not a friendly experience to say the least. Can do alot better with cleanliness in the food court, and mall staff being more courtoeus.

Hopefully this mall will never close. But it need some good new merchants. Movie theater is still great and one of the cleaniest around.

This mall has so much potential but it's really gone downhill. I really wish a developer would buy it and revamp the whole mall! We rarely go even though it's close to our house. I would say the only positive is a few stores that are a bit newer.

Not overall satisfied by this mall as of lately. Or should I say a lot to be desired from this mall. The reason why I say that is because of the lack of selective stores and a good number of stores and small stands keep closing. Maybe back in the late 2000s and early 2010s despite it's size it was appealing enough to go to, but as of right now in 2021 and I have visited other malls, this mall is lackluster in comparison say to Dade-land mall or Dolphin mall within the same county. However I will say the movie theater at this mall is adequate and always show the latest block buster, but a bit in refurbishment is need, same can be said for the whole mall. I also want to say for mobile users, be careful as some parts of the mall, mobile services is terrible as some stores blocks off mobile service completely and all you can do is call and text. Honestly more store with more variety would work however due to the nature of this mall that seems highly unlikely, unless if unlucky a massive authorized name brand store opens, but even they not all but some have that same misfortune. And even so, the pandemic hit took a huge hit on this mall where one section is a complete ghost time with only one store open. As I am seeing right now, it doesn't look good for this mall.

Surprisingly well-kept for how packed it was. The employees deserve a raise for sure. ♥️ Some of the Kiosks are placed in awkward places though that disrupt the flow of traffic. Probably the intention to funnel in customers, but rather annoying when there are so many people and you are stuck waiting to get around.

👍 Have all types of things going on. So great one stop shop kinda deal. But the place could use a makeover on the outside of building to make it more appealing!
