I
have
decided
to
leave
the
YMCA
for
various
reasons.
I
will
touch
upon
some
of
the
most
predominant
ones.
The
alledged
manager
supposedly
runs
this
location
and
another
one
as
well.
She's
not
opened
to
input
by
the
members
and
to
attempt
to
do
so
can
warrant
a
negative
response.
She
walks
through
the
place
most
times
without
acknowledging
those
who
keep
it
open:
the
members.
While
she's
not
there
just
about
anyone
of
the
employees
run
it.
The
place
is
unkept
and
the
equipment
is
all
over
the
place.
The
manager
has
removed
dumbbells
as
well
as
their
racks
not
leaving
ample
quantities
of
them
for
many
members
to
work
out
at
the
same
time
with
the
chosen
weight.
There
are
no
employees
on
the
floor
at
all
to
teach
new
members
the
operations
of
the
equipment.
No
showers
available
and
just
about
everything
they
fail
to
provide
is
blamed
on
the
pandemic.
Turn
over
of
employees
is
high.
Some
of
them
have
verbalized
that
the
manager
lies
repeatedly
to
the
members.
Equipment
needs
calibration
and
maintenance.
The
real
reason
the
YMCA
in
Allapatah
has
less
than
300
members
has
been
mismanagement
pre
pandemic.
They
will
not
be
able
to
operate
if
it
continues
with
this
low
membership.
With
competition
from
IFBB
Iramis
Portero
half
a
block
away
and
two
Planet
Fitness
within
10
minutes
or
less
driving
distance
and
lower
prices
the
members
have
gone
there.
The
facility
has
no
personal
trainers
and
limited
equipment.
They
open
at
8AM
and
close
at
9PM
Monday
to
Thursday.
Friday
at
8PM
and
close
on
the
weekends.
My
impression
is
that
management
is
more
concerned
with
a
pay
check
than
members
benefits.
I
would
ask
anyone
interested
in
working
out
at
a
gym
to
check
the
others
in
the
area
and
the
benefits
you'll
get
for
your
money.
The
Y
has
lockers
but
members
cannot
use
them.
Why?
I
never
have
received
any
answers
to
that
as
well
as
other
issues.
Lastly
one
day
while
working
out
a
sub
contracted
person
from
maintenance
called
me
to
the
front
desk
because
she
had
been
left
there
alone
and
didn't
know
what
to
do.
The
employees
had
gone
to
Pizza
Hut
4
blocks
away.
Lastly
almost
all
members
were
deducted
fees
from
their
credit
cards
while
the
gym
was
closed.
It's
my
understanding
they
had
a
difficult
time
getting
refunded.
Silver
Sneakers
members
had
the
premium
deducted
as
well.
