Food Amazing !!! Latín Music too loud services from manager I guess ( the guy with bye eyes was excellent) from server was ok . The best Margarita drink !! I recommend this place if you want delicious fresh fish oyster and everything !! at night is like a club. my only complaint was the music can’t even talk but i guess is their concept, I recommend before 7 pm if you don’t want toooo loud music!!

Best mojito Amazing empanadas Delicious seafood soup Live music. Atmosphere was lively! Music was a bit loud but definitely part of the ambiance. Very limited vegan, lots of fish options.

This place was so good that we went there 3 consecutive nights First night was for drinks, music and dancing. Music was superb. The 2nd night 40 other friends showed up after they heard me raving about this place. Went place thr 3rd evening for a great dinner Great service. Maria, Joel and Daniela were simply awesome.

Everything here was amazing! The red snapper, baked potatoes and roasted vegetables were flavorful, moist, savory and soooo delicious. The live salsa band kept us and others up and dancing. We were here for a girlfriend's birthday and the table we had was the best in the restaurant with a street view of Ocean Drive. I would definitely return!

We had amazing Cuban food in this restaurant. The live music played truly stands out. You need to make reservation in advance because it gets very crowded. We ordered a bunch of stuff. We got the mango mojito which was excellent. Then they got us complementary chips and dip which was very unique and tasty. For appetizers we got the ceviche , croquettes & empanadas. All of them were so delicious. For mains we got the sword fish , Ropa vieja … everything was delicious. We also got the tres leche in the end which was yummy too..

Sala’o is a great find! Everything from the happy hour items (super cheap) to main courses were really delicious. The food also came exceptionally fast. Our server Daniela was excellent today; she was super attentive to our table and made sure we got everything we needed. If I could give 10 stars I would.

The food is good, and the attention is good. The background music is also good. The live music needs to be equalized better. It is hard to talk or hear for large groups because the live music is loud. The prices are reasonable for the area. Also, the servers are very efficient and will remove any plate within seconds of someone completing the meal; regardless if someone else at the table is still eating, they do not ask if ok I removed it. Parking: they have valet and paid parking on the main road. If you go about two blocks SW, you will find free parking. Ultimately, the waitress said the restaurant keeps 9% of the included 18% service charge. On the menu, it says that the service charge is not a salary or something like that and should be clarified here by the owners. The place has indoor and outdoor seating

From walking in the front of the establishment , I know this is where I wanted to be. The live music and our waiter Michel was amazing. Drinks were delicious, and the food was terrific. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in Little Havana.

Beautiful place. Rolando was very kind, thorough with our orders and he was smiles. We got our food right away. Food was delicious and fresh. The decorations are very pretty. Bathroom clean and they had a live singer. Music playlist is very good.

Food is very tasty. The portion is less than standard though. Good drinks, live music and great atmosphere. The only thing is some of the foods in the menu don't have price and they will offer you those as their best options. Make sure you ask those prices before order as those are the most expensive ones.

The food was delicious! The oysters were absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced.

Don’t get me started… the food was TOO GOOD! Every single dish was beautifully made. I had the snapper filet with brown sauce and it was seasoned great. The fried green plantain was Delicious! And my Dominican friend who ate with me said that they had the best morro (black rice) she’s ever had. Now the atmosphere was great. It was so fun watching the live music performance and seeing the lead singer dance and sing with the customers and the bartender, it made me feel like I was in a film. The drinks were also good. The service was very nice and patient, I would definitely recommend this place to other other people

This place was very cool. Very nice. Very in little Havana lol but it was really good. Food really expensive food. We paid probably in the two 300 range lol But every dish we had was good. Some of them might have been smaller than we hoped. The appetizers were extremely bomb. Weird sauces than I don't exactly know what they wear but they were good. Very good service as well, obviously because you're taking care of them. But the entertainment was the best part. They had live bands dancers in the front. They had a bar for everyone who likes to drink. Good times for all. See the pictures

Just visited with my family in the middle of our bus tour of Miami. Our server's name was Lorena. As someone in the industry I can honestly say my table was not the easiest to take care of. We had time constraints, and were a party of 6 with 2 children. One of them being under 2. Not only was the service fast but Lorena and everyone was so accommodating. We're from jersey and when I get the chance to visit Miami again, this will definitely be a stop. Food and drinks were amazing as well.

Michael was an amazing waiter. Very informative & hospitable. We definitely enjoyed his customer service. The food was beautifully plated and had lots of flavor. Great experience!!!

My family and I came down for a few days from MA & Sala’o did not disappoint. If you are interested in going to learn more about the cultures in Miami, then make sure to stop by Little Havana. The atmosphere in Sala’o is amazing, the food is delicious and Rolando, our server was incredibly accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice little spot, great food, good live music, attentive staff. Really enjoyed the lamb ribs special. Sat and read and ate and had coffee for 2+ hours, no pressure or rush, was allowed to enjoy myself. great service from Rolando. Little pricey but value was good. Nice decor too.

I never leave posts but this place was too good to not to. Between the authentic Cuban vibes, romantic atmosphere, live music, dancing, and the FOOD! So rich, decadent and cooked to perfection. If you come you will not be disappointed. Truly one of the most divine experiences I have had to date. Our server Loruna was phenomenal and helped us pick some of the most flavorful options on the menu. She was knowledgeable and the suggestions she made suited our palates so well! I love this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere with a live band. The singer and band were amazing!!!!The food was outstanding. I had the half chicken with the plantain cups, and Tres Leches for dessert. The staff is also friendly and accommodating. The drinks are out of this world. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Everything about this restaurant made me so happy. The food, service, and vibes were amazing. They have outdoor and indoor seating. We sat inside and were there during happy hour, and there was fun music playing and the inside is really nicely decorated. Our waiter was Rolando, and he was wonderful and helped make the experience amazing. We were walking by and were enticed by their happy hour and decided to stop in. We got two drinks, which were great. We also got the chicken skewers off the happy hour menu and the cheese croquettes. These were the best cheese croquettes I’ve had ever and were an awesome start to the meal. I also got oysters, and it was my first time having them but I thought they were delicious. We also got the Cuban sandwich, and it was really tasty, and enough for two people. Overall, we had a great time here and highly recommend it.

Went here for St. Patty's weekend with a group of 5. Food was good, However multiple yellow rice sides had fish in them when it wasn't requested. The drinks were great and reasonable prices. The cuban sandwich was underwhelming but the pan seared snapper was very flavorful and tasty. The live music was great that was really enjoyable. The staff and waiters were very friendly and accommodating.

Pre Mother's Day dinner. Newest spot that i know of in Calle Ocho. Everything was amazing from the food to the atmosphere. We were literally sat in front by the entrance by and felt like a VIP. Place was packed yet service was awesome. Only thing personally is i wish I had my drinks quicker but again i guess I'm too fast for them 😅. I recommend this place. Cuban cuisine taken to the next level.

My family and I decided to walk down 8th st, we usually go to a different restaurant but they were closed today so we decided to stop by here. From now on, this is our go to restaurant on 8th st! The food was amazing and came out in a timely manner but the service was even better. Ivon was amazing, she’s very attentive and is an extremely sweet person, I highly recommend this spot !

Alfredo is an excellent Salsa instructor. Had an amazing time learning to Salsa. The birthday surprise was also amazing. Guillermo, the server, was very attentive and provided great Custer service. Atmosphere is top notch! Our server was nice but seemed slightly annoyed with us not ordering two entrees. We had 2 apps, an entree, 2 glasses of wine then added on dessert and 2 coffees. Best value for the money of all the meals we had in Miami! Entertainment was fantastic, even on a Monday night! Food 4 stars, drinks, entertainment & atmosphere 5 stars, service 3.5 stars. Value 5 stars!

This was one of the best dinning experience we had in Miami. My group have been in service industry a long time and this place blew us away. I assume the manager and maybe server assistance greeted us right away. So warm and welcoming. They had live music and those guys definitely had the best engery. Our server was quick to welcome us. He did have to get pretty close to us due to the music but we did not mind. The food! Ah! Our 1st time having cuban food and we were in love! The shrimp empanada was a great starter. I also had a few drinks my favorite I believe is the Casa veja? It was a mixed mexcal drink. Delicious! The music, all I can say is they better have those 2 guys regularly. They switched between bongo, piano, and violin. They even layered the music to mix with popular songs of today. I 100% recommend this place for a good time. We did not want to leave, wish we could have stated all night.

Visited Little Havana and had drinks and a bite to eat at Sala’o Cuban Restaurant. Open to the street, there were musicians playing live music near the front of the restaurant when we arrived. Since we didn’t have a reservation the only seating available was at the bar. Place was full with patrons. Based on the menu and the items patrons ordered, it specializes in seafood. First we ordered daiquiris which were good but having been seated at the bar, the real show was the mojitos. And they were popular. The bartender made them non stop the whole time we were there…handmade, one at a time. Recommend the mojito. For food we split a Cuban sandwich which really good and huge!

We visited this restaurant every night for 3 nights! Absolutely loved the atmosphere, the setting, the beautiful live music, the food was exquisite, the staff was beyond accommodating for our group! Love Love Love this place. You will not disappointed

Nice atmosphere. Good live musicians. The food was good. Not spectacular. The appetizer and drinks were awesome. Especially the fried sardines. The lobster was beautiful. My chicken fricasse was ok. My son’s lechon Asado was also just ok. My wife’s caramel mousse was really good. The moros rice was also really good. The waitress was super. It’s worth stopping by here if you are at Calle Ocho in Miami 👍

The food is excellent. The service is excellent. Our server made sure we were fully attended at all times. Did I mention live music. It’s great!!

Food was delicious, Mojitos were also very good, Service was quick and very attentive. Entertainment was what made me stop here and eat. Outdoor seating could have been a little more comfortable for the price you pay for food here, but was okay. Ambience was perfect. It's pretty expensive to eat here to me, but prices are pretty comparable to all other restaurants who serve dinner nearby.

Ana treated us like family. We asked her about great destination spots in Cuba and Ana shared some of her favorite spots. She also recommended popular and great dishes. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and there was love cuban music 🎶 ❤

What can I say about this place but …… magnificent….ambiance was amazing…great Latin vibe… music was great….excellent service…and the food was great at a very reasonable price!!!…. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Very Hemingway. Drinks had a very 50's vibe and were classically simple and delicious. Portions were huge. Staff was the perfect blend of available but not hovering.

We had a great time at Sala’o! The octopus was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was super fun on a Thursday night. No one was wearing masks, if this is something that is still important to you. We had a great time, and we highly recommend this place.

The food was impeccable!!! Service was amazing and great recommendation by our server Rolando!!!! 10/10 would recommend. We had grilled salmon and grilled snapper with rice and beans, tostones and fried ripe plantain!!
