It was raining. I saw 4 admin in the office. I knocked and looked in the window hoping someone would let me in. No one came. I had to call for someone to let me in to pick up my dog from boarding. One girl stated two people were having their lunch break. Another said it was surgery time and no one had appts so that's why they ignored me. I was mainly upset my dog came back with skin ripped from her nose. When I saw her kennel, we discovered she put her nose through a makeshift outdoor fence. They proceeded to reveal my dog was not the only one who had issues with scraped noses and other dogs did the same. I had to ask to provide medication for injuries sustained when she stayed there. I was disappointed they did not treat it since they are her vet! They claim NO LIABILITY.

Hey! 😊 Just wanted to share my experience as a first-time visitor at Best Vet today. Let me tell you, the name truly says it all – they are the BEST VET! 🌟 From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive. They made me feel comfortable and reassured, knowing that my furry friend was in safe hands. The veterinarian who attended to my pet was exceptional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions patiently. Their expertise and professionalism were truly commendable. It's clear that they genuinely care about animals and their well-being. Not only did they provide thorough medical attention, but they also went above and beyond to offer advice and guidance on preventative care. Their dedication to educating pet owners on maintaining their pets' health is highly commendable. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am to have found Best Vet. They have exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I highly recommend them to all pet owners searching for outstanding veterinary care. Thank you, Best Vet, for providing such an exceptional experience for my pet and me. I'm confident that we have found our trusted veterinarian for life! 🐾❤️

This has been my vet for the past 5 years. Most of the time I have a great experience here. Only had one hiccup but they stood by it and will take care of it when I am ready. I like this doctor a lot. When you catch him on a good day, you will see him shine the best. So my review has been upped to a 5 stars due to the recent visit.

Dr. Armstrong is the best. He cares a lot for pets and their owners. He's very fair. I always get a straight answer from him. He doesn't just try to upsell stuff you don't need. No office visit charge if you're just getting a rabies shot! No other vet in the area does that! He is very caring, takes time with me and my pets, has helped me when I've found strays, and is available for emergencies. He's got a great way with animals. I can't say that for other vets in the area. I'm glad we found Best Vet.

this vet office killed my cat. she went in because she was not eating or using the bathroom, heard her wheezing/having breathing trouble. vet did not do an xray or anything other than feel her up and give her some antibiotics. she worsened and 3 days later we were back. vet examined her again and took x-rays to reveal fluid in her lungs. she did not make it through the night. she was only 7 years old... if they examined her properly the first time, it could have been caught and her life could have been saved. BEWARE

I had the most wonderful visit to this office today! I had to write a review because this vet really felt like they genuinely cared for my dog and not about the money they could make off me. The vet I went to days before misdiagnosed my dog and Dr. Armstrong found the problem in two minutes without pressuring me into expensive tests. They were affordable and nice. You couldn’t ask for a better combo when looking after our beloved pets. 5 stars and beyond!

The doctor and assistant were so terrible. I wouldn't call this place "Best Vet" clinic. I have a diabetic cat who needed some attention. I took him to this clinic because he was vomiting. Also, needed to get his glucose and fructosamine level checked. The doctor barely paid attention what i was telling him. We were a new patient...this is not a way you should treat a new patient at all. I was very disappointed at the doctor. On the top of it,the assistant kept telling me how old the system is and the doctor doesn't want to upgrade anything. Please don't take your loved animal to this place where the doctor has no compassion at all.

This place is the worst. We took our cat here multiple times and the vet said that nothing was wrong, a week later were here to put our cat down and now the vet tells us it might be a tumor. His staff is very rude as well. While I was waiting in the lobby they were making jokes about “putting one of the staff members down” right while our cat is being put down. How insensitive. We won’t be coming back, we’re afraid the doctor will over look another one of our cats and they will end up the same way. We had multiple issues but this was it. Probably coasted is our cat. Edit: They couldn’t even bother closing the cats eyes. My mother is in tears over seeing that even more

This is a good veterinary hospital, but they seriously need to work on getting the people who have made appts. in FIRST !! Every time I come here, I have wait for a good while because they’re taking care of all walk-ins before the appts. !! I’m sorry, but that’s not how to run a vet’s office. We make an appt. for a reason !! 😤 Other than that, Dr. Armstrong is a really kind & caring vet so I would totally recommend him !

Last review was deleted. Bad service was given here and I will make sure to tell people who love their animals as well as do not have money to throw out for no reason, not to go here. My puppy was given shots I did not ask for, and they did not perform the 'free physical'. The doctor walked in and out. Did not even tell me what to expect from the de worming medication I was originally there for. Charged me for shots I didnt ask for. As well as when I called back to ask them to actually perform the physical and to talk to a manager regarding I was told to just come in to speak with someone. I spent double the money that day and will NEVER go back.

I waited until a second visit before reviewing Best Vet. First off call them and ask how much a visit is, they’ll tell you free and you just pay for services. Now I don’t expect something for nothing, but don’t mislead people. I brought my dog in for a growth/bubble on it’s Dewclaw, I completely had in mind a small surgery is needed to remove the Dewclaw. Dr. Armstrong says it’s an overgrown nail that is infected. Trims the nail and gives a prescription of antibiotics. I was certain there was more to this than a swollen in grown nail. A month and a half later the growth has gotten larger and what I believe is a cyst has developed on the back of my dog’s neck. I took him in and Dr. Armstrong is vague as he diagnoses the abscess and squeezes it. Gross of course, but what are you going to do. He shaved the area and gave him a shot of antibiotics. The suggestion is surgery to remove the mass. He did not give me any instruction on how to take care of the open/erupted cyst, I have a 19 month old baby at home who plays with the dog all the time. Upon researching the treatment of a cyst, the first thing numerous websites say is do not squeeze it, as you can rupture it inside and cause cellulitis. Just keep it clean and it should heal on it’s own. For the growth on his Dewclaw Dr. Armstrong is suggesting amputation of the “toe”. Now that’s what I thought from the original visit. I hope these two growths are not related, I have an appointment with a different vet today. I would stay clear of Best Vet they have a lot of poor reviews for a reason.

Always so accommodating and they really care about our pets. The last time I came I didn’t have enough money and they waived my office fee. I tried to pay them today and they wouldn’t take the last money owed. So kind and I can always get an appointment - thank you!!

My sister's 19-year-old dog had to be put to sleep on Wednesday and was in pain and when my niece called to get an appointment she was told there were no appointments that day she explained that my sister has used that vet for over 30 years for her pets. They didn't care. What awful inconsiderate office staff to treat someone who is not only elderly losing the pet she loved but not caring and said there was nothing they could do even though she was a patient there for 30 years. Really disgusting. My sister was able to call a mobile vet who came over within hours and relieved her dog's pain so you can be assured she will never recommend this place again even though she did like Dr Armstrong but that office staff is terrible.

I would like to say that the staff here is wonderful ever had issues with anyone but my poor dog was sick today his sugar levels were low and also he was throwing up and no eating. Doctor took 5 minutes (I’m not joking) 5 minuets and said he’s fine. Is not the first time that he takes 5 minutes to check and saids the same thing. I just wish I found a doctor that cared a little more. Oh and after the 5 minutes $270 bill. I just don’t get it 😞

Dr. Armstrong is the best! My dog had a huge tumor on her chest and he removed it. Ever since, she’s been back to her normal puppy-like self and more active then ever! Thank you Dr. Armstrong!

Best place to bring your new pets! I rescued a cat with a cough, first exam was free and the treatment was straight forward with ease! Really is the best vet.

Should be called Worst Vet. The worst experience at a vet office I have ever had. I agree with those that said he should retire. The vet and some of his staff do not listen to what you tell them. And his remedy is always a steroid shot. Money making factory there. Booking 3 patients at the same time going from exam room to exam room.Thats not quality care. If you love your pet, don't go there. Disgraceful.

Dr Armstrong is a great vet. At Kitty Karma of Delray we often use him. I highly recommend and he is very reasonable with pricing

We've been going to this vet since the early 90's. Dr. Armstrong has been taking care of our animals for 25+ years. We can't say enough about this vet. He takes care of all pets. We've been bringing lots of kitties over the years & a few lizards, a turtle & a black capped conure. He treats them all! Overall a great vet!

I have been using Best vet since late 2019. What I like most: -They always answer the phone during business hours, no long wait times on the phone -Staff is friendly and patient -They always have appointments available. I called on a Tuesday for routine vaccinations for my dog. Needed a Saturday appointment due to work and they actually had times available for this Saturday. -Wait times in the office are reasonable -I literally pay out of pocket for all of my dog’s vaccinations and I am able to because their prices are so reasonable. I never considered getting pet insurance once. Prices have pretty much stayed reasonable through and after Covid. -The doctor and his staff gets you in and out I really enjoy this vet. It’s right around the corner from my house and when I move up north, I will make monthly trips back down for my dog because it’s worth it.

Dr. Armstrong almost killed my puppy. I came to see him because my puppy already had pneumonia. He injected her with Lasix and sent her off with Lasix pills. Lasix is used to treat congestive heart failure. This medication dehydrated her even more. My puppy is now in critical in the emergency hospital. She has been there for days without improving. I pray to God that she pulls through.

They accommodate everyone. The vet seems to work all of the time. They always take my girlfriends dog chanel in,anytime she has an issue, no matter what he sees her. Very fair prices. Much less than the average vet. Tamara) Chanel have been a client for over 7 yrs. She went to a new vet in Delray and had the teeth done. They never told her they were going to shave the front teeth into toothpicks for s bad tooth in the back. Totaling close to1000.. she was livid. She swears never to venture far from best vet again. When you see most if the animals, there, that are content, waiting in the Lobby, to see the vet, it says it all. Centrally Located in West Boynton Beach, and plenty of up close parking. One more thing. The staff there are like family. You can see each one if the staff loves animals, " they are always carrying something around with them, bird dog cat, he cares for many different types if animals" and loves their job. Always very patient and understanding.

I would never recommend the grooming by Erica, she was extremely rude to me and made me feel unwelcome. She is very unprofessional and I don’t recommend coming here.

Dr. Armstrong and his team are amazing. The office is cheery, bright and clean. Our doggo got his first vaccines in about 5 years, and he didn't even mind. He even sped right through the nail trim from Dr. Armstrong like it was no big deal! We were in and out within 30 minutes, even though the office was very busy. Thank you all!!

I have been walking here for 7 plus years. I am one of the early morning walkers. Here daily when it opens at 6:29. Love seeing nature and the wonderful boardwalk. Wish the nature center was open on Sundays for the families (only open W-Sat). Thank you Trudy and Ted!

I went to this place because they supposedly had a free consultation etc. I had the visit for my dog they looked at her for two seconds and prescribed her the most expensive flea medicine when she doesnt even have flees and anti anxiety medication that just knocks her out and it makes me uncomfortable and scared like I have to check her breathing and she does have bad anxiety she cant be alone and the dr cut her nails off making the sharper by the way they were cut and she was crying in pain. Even I know you have to be very careful and he was so careless... they barely looked at her and couldnt even tell me her breed or anything. They said she might be 2 but she looks much older than that to me. I just feel so bad for her and of course they got as much money out of me as they could when she doesnt even have fleas or mites! Nothing... but I wanted tk listen to him and he just made her sick. I am so sad... I cant go back there. For her sake and for mine. She needs to be healthy and happy. Not drugged out to the point of shallow breathing and barely functional.. ugh I am just so disappointed right now.

My babygirl and I were in a car accident a week ago and I just wanted to make sure she was ok. They let us come by and now I have peace of mind. The vibe at this holistic vet is tranquil.

He truly cares for the animals. He is affordable and kind. Our hound dog was hit by a car and when others were quoting us 4 times the price and using high pressure sales tactics, this doctor was calm and reasonable. We couldn’t recommend this vet office more. We are grateful to have them.

My first time bringing my dog. Will definitely go back. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. The vet himself was informative and helpful.
