I was referred to the doctor by my primary. I asked to see the doctor. They sent in a traine for 20 minutes and then Kelly Wolper optometrist I asked for the optmologist and was told they where never in the office because they where in surgery. That everyone there where optometrist. No concern for my terrible night vision.i have halos around all lights. I told her my vision had changed in the last month.she said it was age. She checked my prescription said it was right. But having a hard time seeing. She told me I had a cataract on my left eye.it was a 4 out of 5. Gave me restasis and sent me on my way. No discussion on this cataract. She could have cared less about me. My primary cares nurse sees the M.D. s all the time and loves them. She was shocked. They may be great doctors but dont see wolper. If I ask for an MD when making an appointment thats what I should get

Dr Aker, a West Point graduate who was a Corps Commander, has obviously instilled those disciplines in his practice and on his staff. Excellent care from receptionist to physician. You can trust that you will receive all the appropriate options for your eye lenses and an understanding of laser versa non laser removal. Their communication pre-op and post op is extraordinary in this day and age. The nurses are attentive, positive and proficient in all they do. Everyone in the Aker-Kasten office knows their jobs and the place works like a finely tuned Swiss watch. This was an amazingly easy and pleasant experience, especially when compared with my experience with the Rand institute for my other eye. All of my appointments went very quickly, with a minimum of waiting and all the staff were pleasant and clearly on purpose. I've never seen and operation where the staff worked as closely together as a team and seem to genuinely enjoy and be proud of the work that they do. I will definitely recommend this to everyone I know considering cataract surgery
