I went to Island Water Sports for the first time to participate in the free surfing class on Saturday morning and it was a blast! The instructors were enthusiastic and supportive and the group atmosphere was great for first-time surfers like me as well as families. Afterwards, I bought a rash guard from the store where I was helped by a staff member and then given a discount for having taken the group class. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and fun! I will absolutely be coming back for more!

I can't say enough good things about Island Water Sports and their staff. The store has all the gear you need for water sports or even just a day at the beach. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel welcome. They also offer an assortment of board lessons, camps, and rentals including stand-up paddle board and surfing. On Saturday mornings, the instructors even donate their time to offer FREE SURF LESSONS! G.C., Tom, Brandon and the rest of the crew are amazing teachers and awesome people and they just wanna share their love of surfing and the ocean with everyone! I've only been to 3 lessons and I'm already hooked. If it wasn't for this awesome team of people teaching me, I never would've had the courage to get out on the water and get up on the board. free surf lessons every Saturday by a small, family-owned business? i was surprised at how good the waves were in Florida. water is surprisingly warm too. fun activity to do and staff was so kind! would definitely recommend.

Big surf shop , Long time owners are surfers , I ran into the original owners son the other day very helpful and knowledgeable with surfboards. Great to see that the family run business is still going. Very knowledgeable of world class surfing ,and has the best board selection in the area .they do a lot for kids camps and rentals . I knew the original owner many years ago also ran a South Africa Christian program , close to J-bay South Africa. . Many years ago ..anything surf related or a outfit . ,,rent a paddle board Many big names in the industry, great sunglasses, and skateboards too .

We signed up our two kids and their two friends (10, 10, 8, and 7) for a lesson and it was great. 90 minutes was perfect - Just enough to exhaust them without stopping before they were ready. Thomas was a top notch instructor and phenomenal with the kids. The kids were all new to surfing and he managed to get everyone up and riding waves on their own. Overall it was fantastic service, a great location, and lots of fun.

This is THE place to get what you need for the Beach. I got a great pair of Beach sandals at a great price. Also, Giulia at the Shop was really helpful with a great attitude. Thanks to Guilia for an awesome shopping experience. :-)

The employees are very helpful, knowledgeable an friendly. They aren’t pushy salespeople. The free surfing paddle board lessons were just that FREE. We had a great experience. Thank you!!!

Upon walking in the shop I couldn’t believe the inventory. Super cool staff as well as very friendly and knowledgeable. They had everything from softy surfboards and paddleboard‘s and every kind of skateboard you could imagine. If you’re a street skater or you like to cruise on a longboard they had everything including trucks and wheels sold separately. I totally recommend this place if you want to shop for anything that has to do with boards water sports and swimwear.

It was great place to shopping there. There is many of good bread clothes and flifops and surf boards, skate boards, others. I liked all of them

We bought 2 surfboards in the shop and enjoyed the Saturday morning surf classes just in word Amazing. The people from the shop and the surf teachers were so nice !!! We had Alex a great guy and who thought us really good.

Great experience.... 9 a.m. on a Thursday was perfect time to rent 4 paddle boards. Jake & Kaleb were SUPER helpful. Boards were nice & comfortable...would definitely recommend to others. Had a Groupon for this fun adventure.... even better.

Super nice, fun. Who else has offered free surfing classes every week? That's st hutch a generous contribution to the community. We went all the way from Miami. So worth it. They got me to stand on the board on my first day and I'm 58! No excuses. We'll be back with our friends.

When our 3 young children asked to learn how to surf, I couldn’t be more excited having been born and raised in Hawaii myself. What better way to get their feet wet than to attend Island Water Sports’ free surf lessons bright and early on a Saturday morning!? The first Saturday we booked online for was cancelled the day before due to weather conditions, I know that the currents were particularly strong that day, and I’m so thankful the staff takes safety as a priority. We booked the following Saturday as soon as we could and the kids were still so excited. That Saturday arrived, it started at the store to receive wrist bands, rules and regulations, and board size up/ handout. Then the 100+ participants trekked down to the beach “like one big happy family” for a quick and thorough ground instruction, before all the excitement ensued. You wouldn’t have known the instructors were so outnumbered by participants because there was always an instructor available to help push someone off on a wave with a “paddle, paddle, PADDLE! POP UP!” The kids and I had such an amazing time and can’t wait to return for more lessons, camps, and eventually gear of our own as I see this as only the beginning of our surf fam life! Island Water Sports has a free surfing or paddle board class every Saturday at 7am. They are safe, fun, and community building. Even though the waves were nearly flat, I was able to pop up on my board many times and I got personal instruction for improvement. My first impression is that the company cares about the community to give these lessons for free and that it treats its employees and volunteers well because they were there before 7am and in very good spirits. Overall it was a positive experience. Highly recommend.

Best place to get stuff for the beach, surfing, paddle boarding, and skateboarding in the Deerfield/Boca area. Staff are willing to help, friendly and very accommodating. They have a coffee shop attached to it as well, which makes great coffee. Highly recommended if you visit Deerfield Beach!

I absolutely loved the Saturday morning surf lesson with Island Water Sports and can't wait to come back soon! Would recommend it to everyone. The store is great too, wonderful selection of clothing etc.

Kids enjoyed the Surf/Paddle Board/Skimboard clinic! They got to do surfing that day with Brandon and he was great with them! Would definitely recommend! We are definitely going back!

We rented surfboards here while on vacation. The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping us find the best beach to go to that day and helpingus get the right size board. The store is amazing as well! We will definitely rent from here again if back in the area.

Island Water Sports staff are the best! We, a family of 4, signed up for surfing lessons, and not only did everyone in my party surf but we had an awesome time and excellent instructions guiding and assisting us. Highly recommend for beginners to "get your feet wet" and try out surfing before you spend hundreds of dollars on equipment. The staff was fun, energetic, informative and educated all participants on safety.
