Lomnicky stit - 2nd highest in Hight Tatras - sadly we couldn’t go on the top the day we went so we ended in Lomnicke saddle ( what was really good to be fair). I highly recommend to purchase that GOPASS and if you manage to predict weather then purchase ticket up the front to avoid extra charge on the till and you will have guaranteed entry. We haven’t done that and tickets to get to the top we’re sold out. You have few options to get to the top. You can walk or like us get a cable cabin or cable seat and change few times . If you wanna get to the top in cable car you taking that from Skalnate Pleso. #VysokeTatry #Lomnicky #gopass #lanovka

ultimate Slovak experience, “the roof” of Slovakia, nice unique cable car, the highest experience and café with good coffee, chocolate and desserts, lovely views, definitely buy tickets in advance, time to be there is limited to 50 mins, highly recommended

Tickets have to be pre-ordered and the service is pretty expensive, but once in a lifetime it is worth it. 😊 I recommend check the weather and the local webcam in advance. Amazing view, wonderful experience!

Great view if you are lucky and have a nice weather. Service is expensive but ok consider the location. At least once in lifetime but tickets need to be pre-ordered

Of course, this is one of most exciting places in Slovakia. Meteorological, astronomical, cosmic-rays observatories and hotel at the roof of Slovakia.

Beautiful view during the day and night. Stars are amazing with view of the milkey way. Staff went above and beyond to make ends meet for bouquet of roses, to room and meal preparation. Highly recommended once in a lifetime experience.

It was a dream coming true, being above everything and starring at the beauty of God in silence. I wouldn't say I was happier in my life more than that time.

Hefty price tag and reservations in advance don't distract from the view, but clouds can.. apperantly you can sleep up here in fancy rooms and there is even a solar observatory!

The cable trip isn't cheap but the panoramic view of High Tatra Mountains is absolutely worth it.

I am not a climber, but the magic of mountains is alien to me, so I definitely wanted to climb the second highest peak of the High Tatras, Lomnicki Štit. At the same time, it is the highest point that can be reached by cable car, so it is suitable for everyone who wants to touch the clouds and feel the charm of the mountains. When we got up, we had enough time to go around at least a few observation points of the mountain, and to drink coffee in the cafe there. It is necessary to buy tickets in advance and to dress warmly, because it can be windy and humid when you take off. In our case, we couldn't see distant views because it was cloudy. Anyway, it's a very good experience.

Easy hiking spot for new hikers or family trips. 👪 You can hike to one of the first stops and take a mountain car down, which is fun. If you're an experienced hiker, I would choose another route in the tatras.

We were here in the middle of June. There were some clouds but as they were coming and passing by they did not bother us. The view is amazing. The weather is cold, about 0 degrees, but still there were people wearing shirts and shorts and sandals. :-) I recommend you to bring a windcoat with a hood as there can be heavy winds. And bring sunglasses. I am glad I could get there. It is absolutely woth it.
