Probably the best BBW in Lansing. Great BBQ and very unique way it's severed ( also traditional and on buns) Really good beer and liquor selection. A tone of unique cocktails. Service was friendly and food came fast. HUGE selection of BBQ sauces. I think 7 or 8 in total. The Chipotle cherry was our favorite. We ordered the Meat Mountain and it was really good. The mashed potatoes were very thin, so it didn't support the dish very well. Thicker potatoes or tots would make the dish perfect. The Broccoli salad side dish was just ok. Recommended for sure.

First back since COVID. Ordered 6 wings ($9.95), BBQ meat plates with half of pork ribs, pork belly reuben sandwich, and Mac n cheese from kids menu. Everything is great. The sandwich is really outstanding: great breads, lots of meat, and very flavorful. Will definitely try more sandwiches in the future

Absolutely delicious barbecue. Brisket was perfection and the Mac and cheese to die for. Service friendly but seemed a little understaffed, not as attentive as it could have been, but the food made up for it. Great beer selection. Would definitely come back!

Been to meats a hand full of times and I gotta say the place is spectacular. Great food great service and just nice overall experiences there. Got me the boss log last time I was there and I gotta say that sandwich was huge and delicious, not for the faint of heart lol also all their sauces are so delicious its hard just to choose which one to use first

Hole in wall BBQ dive with eclectic decor and atmosphere. Portions were very large with plenty to take home. The half order of nachos were a great appetizer, really enjoyed the jalapeños and avocado on top. The meat trays were fresh and hot, loved the spicy creamed corn as a side! The staff were friendly and attentive.

It's the best restaurant I'm Greater Lansing Area. Wonderful food, great customer service and awesome ambience. Beef brisket us at par with the best bbq places in US. Dinning here is like a (bi-)weekly ritual. This place is among the top restaurants in US on my list

This is definitely a highly recommend place to stop. My wife and I stopped for lunch and it was super delicious! I got the Chin-Gorilla and I got it with Brisket, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It has Grilled Pineapple, Crispy Fried Onions, Bacon, and Scratch-Made Pimento Cheese Spread. It is an amalgamation of amazingness! I live down by Toledo Ohio but I will be searching for an excuse to make it back up to Lansing just to go here and try some of the other mouth watering creations on the menu!

Would give 2.5 stars if I could. I ordered 6 smoked wings and full order of loaded nachos. When I got to my room, the nachos did appear to have brisket, and only had 5 wings instead of 6 (5 wings is not a menu item). Worst side of ranch ever tasted. $31 for messed up order. Only thing saving the review were that the flavors was half decent. Won't be back.

Highly recommend BBQ, may be one of Lansings favorite carnivore kitchens if not the famous Guy's. Plenty of BBQ dish presentations that you can flavor to your taste many ways at your table. Lighting is dim and cozy for an old rock n roll saloon feel in their dining area. I thought the meat mountain would have more meat but it was more of a pie tin loaded with mashed potatoes and some brisket mixed in and topped with shredded cheese, corn and bacon bits.

This is the first time that we have been to this restaurant. It was a beautiful day, and since it was close to scrap fast, we decided to give it a shot. The overall atmosphere was nice, the waitress was very good and very attentive. The food was mediocre at best. The ribs were a little dry, and the brisket not as tender as I would’ve liked. Overall, a good experience and go back.

Came to Lansing yesterday and we wanted some BBQ food. I totally forgot that guy fieri came here too bonus 🤘🏽❤️ the atmosphere was dope. Rock style I loved it. So many cool pictures to see. The service there was awesome so friendly, explained all the different bbq sauces they had. So many by the way. Check out the black magic one that was my favorite one I tried. I was so surprised too bc I hate coffee and this was a coffee based BBQ and it was the best I ever had 🤘🏽❤️ cornbread was one of the best I ever had in my life had a cake like texture butter and sweetness. The Mac and cheese was fire nice burnt cheese on top, creamy throughout so flavorful. Fries were nice and crispy. My daughter's loved there ribs. Will definitely be back again only an 1hr and half from where we live.

This place was amazing! The prices are fairly reasonable for the amount of food and quality you get. Definitely one of my favorite BBQ restaurant places I’ve ever been too!

The mac n cheese brisket with bacon is my favorite up here. The service is swift and extremely friendly. She checked in on us several times and was all around great. Also great selection on beer too.

This place is fun and located in a really cool area in Lansing. Our waitress was great and I was dumb enough to try their challenge. You have to finish a Boss Log (which is insanely huge) and 2 sides in 45 minutes. I didn't even get close! Ha! The food was really great and the experience is fun. If you split the challenge between 4 or 5 people...there is plenty of food....it's a pretty good deal! Ha! Fun place to eat.

We like that they have quite a variety of sauces to try out, and the brisket and pork tasted great! The coleslaw could be better. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.

Have always heard good things about this place and never made it out to try it until last week before a MSU B-Ball Game. As someone who spent 5 years in East Lansing, I am disappointed I never found my way to ‘Old Town’ until now. It’s such a cool area. We ended up splitting some Fried Pickles for an appetizer. I’ve never seen ‘Stringed’ Fried pickles and I must say this is my new favorite way to consume them. I’d probably make a quick pit stop there just for these and a beer when I am around Lansing. Speaking of beer, they had an excellent selection. For my entree, I went with the lean Brisket with a side of the broccoli salad and Mac n Cheese. It was all amazing-ness. I was a fan of each BBQ sauce I tried as well. Ended with the corn bread which was quite the happy ending. I look forward to returning!

Get food. Good atmosphere. The server was great and had a good time. Lots of cool stuff on the walls and ceiling. The owner is definitely a star wars fan and an avid listener of heavy metal🤟. Sorry had to add the Ron burgundy sign in there! Classic!

My son and I very much enjoyed the experience. I haven't seen him eat some many different types of BBQ! I also dug the metal memorabilia everywhere. The owner has great taste in tunes!

Best restaurant I've been to in a very long time. The atmosphere is great, the decor is sooo 'me' and the food is beyond fabulous. I'd honestly be happy to die, stuffing my face in this establishment. 🤣❤️

I ordered the pork belly Reuben and the meat fries. Both were delicious added barbecue sauce to the meat fries great customer service wasn’t too busy a little dark in the corner we sat in.

I gave a 4 start on atmosphere only because I am not into large crowds. Also I mainly got take-out. Everything is superb. I have stayed limited on what I have gotten. I have tried the meat mountain, egg rolls, Miyagi with cheese and the smash burger. Those do rotate but Everything was great. I will continue to keep coming here eventually I will try the boss log an other menu items.

Been here several times and I give it a 5/5 every visit. Everything I’ve tried so far has been amazing from the brisket to the loaded fries and the cheesecake can’t go wrong with any of the choices on the menu … best bbq in the state by far

The bartender recommended all her favorites and she has amazing choices. Skins appetizer, brisket, broccoli salad and ciderguys mimosa were outstanding. Definitely worth the drive.

Absolutely amazing food. The egg rolls as an appetizer are a must have. Can't go wrong with any entree here. The mac and cheese as a side were okay but the beans were outstanding. I've had the boss log a couple of times, but chose the chicken wings this time around. No regrets. I will do the eating challenge one day!

Their BBQ is excellent but many places have great BBQ these days. What makes this place shine are the sides and sandwiches. Meat fries, made to order mac and cheese, MEAT MOUNTAIN, the wings... it's all great. Whatever you get make sure you have leftovers to take home.

Order 2 “Meat mountains” and boy howdy they sure were. Drinks were fantastic. Absolutely loved the beers I tried. Wait staff was so awesome and helpful. We got sat quick and our food was hot and ready fast for how packed it was. Definitely recommend if you’re in town.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a tasty lunch. I got the smoked Turkey because I’ve had it before and it’s surprisingly good - moist and flavorful (not your grandma’s dried out thanksgiving day bird). The sides are all pretty good, some have a bit of heat to them, but that seems to be most restaurants in Old Town. I tried the S’more cocktail and it was pretty good, if you like coffees, thought it left a bit of burn marshmallow shrapnel in the glass.

So good, that we keep going back for more. Large portions delicious food. Had both desserts the cheese cake was our favorite.

We visited this restaurant before a Lugnuts game and found it through DDD. Ordered the beef brisket sandwich. It was slightly dry, should have ordered the beef brisket dish instead I think as my friend ordered it and it was good. Nachos not bad. Friend said the wings were excellent. Good selection of craft beers and good decor. Seems to be a busy spot as there was a lineup when we left.

Laid back environment, with excellent service. A carnivore's heaven. I highly recommend the Nachos and Meat Fries, they were amazing. And I have never tasted a brisket outside of home made that has been so tender, yet firm enough and flavorful. Perfection

Food is fantastic and portions don’t disappoint, I had the Pork Belly Reuben. Great beer selection, music was OK for my taste. Definitely a place to check out if your in Lansing.

My mom and I were visiting from Florida. We ordered chicken wings, brisket, spicy cream corn🌽, Mac and Cheese 🧀, eggs rolls, fries, cornbread. The service was good and the atmosphere was okay, it could use a little more light, for the older patrons as well as an on hand basic menus for them that do not carry a cell phone or find it easier to read an actual menu than trying to download an app.
