Old but with Character While the hotel itself might look dated and tired, the main attraction and highlight of this property are the million dollar views you get from the waterfront facing rooms. They are more than enough to compensate for any other shortcomings and at the price you pay, this hotel is a steal in this part of the world! LOCATION: Lovely location above the Mangrove bay with great views of the Sokeh Rock and harbour and marina DINE + DRINK: Travelling to far flung & still untouched destinations rewards you with a lot of surprises. But they are typically around sightseeing and history. We surely didn't expect to stumble upon such a stunning location for a Sundowner and a Meal with view in a place like this. And the Chefs are pretty cool and creative and whipped up some mean dishes for us. ROOM: I stayed in Room #3, so this review is based on that; VIEW:Million dollar views of the Bay and hills right from the living room as well as bedroom ; SIZE: Very spacious suite with a Living room, kitchen, fridge and a bedroom; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: tired and dated bathroom with a bathtub shower; TOILETRIES: Not worth talking about, Bring your own! FACILITIES:Be prepared to get into a pure pacific ocean chill-out mode! No gym, pool or any other facilities. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to the bar staff. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi connection - that is a bit slow - but works well all over the property. Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

Relaxation, good view, it's all here, with excellent daily services...

It's not a 5 star experience in the way most Americans would rate it. But the staff is super friendly and helpful. You really can not beat the view. The attached restaurant is wonderful..

If you're into roaches, cobwebs in the shower, thin sheets, warm A/C, loud noise from the bar downstairs, poor reception, lethargic staff, and a septic smell coming out of the toilet... book here

The Hotel rooms can be a hit or miss. Overall it's ok. Staff is nice but very slow (or lazy). Good location

I had a large spacious room, with a great view of the bay. Only had one meal there, but it was excellent. Airport pick up somehow missed me, so I had to take a taxi (only $2), which they were very apologetic about. staff were late turning up for breakfast so I had to skip it.

I only had beers enjoying the unique view from the veranda of the restaurant of Ocean View Plaza Hotel. Only for the view it's worth coming for drinks, food and relaxation. Gazing at the blue waters of Pohnpei is ideal from Ocean View...

A bit expensive if you compare it with other options in Kolonia. That takes one star out. Other wise, a very good location. Ground rooms become bit noisy when generator turns on. Reberto, one of the team members, was extremely courteous and helpful.

Hotel worker are all very friendly. View is great if you can get an ocean view room. But, I think the room rate would be different!

This place is starting to feel a bit rundown and uncared-for. Restaurant is good and the rooms are worn but decent especially if you have a sea view room.

This place is ridiculous. Very expensive and not worth your money. No internet. If you want your breakfast at 7am you will get it at 10am.

A great hotel to stay at while in Pohnpei. Rooms are nice, service is great, and food is wonderful.

Good food. Nice ambience. Breathtaking views. The restaurant is clean, food was delicious. A highly recommended place to unwind after a long day at work.
