Me and the family had a great time on a beautiful fall day exploring the farm! I never realized how large of an area there is to explore, we usually just drop off at the visitor center here. The elk were AMAZING. There were so many. We even go to see 2 bulls fight. The farm is beautiful and so is the river. Lots of information plaques to read about the farm. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I had a great time going through this museum. Everything outside is original (though brought in from other places w/n the area). There are chickens everywhere :) They also have people working in character, so it makes the tour even better. Also, bathrooms are very clean! Highly recommend this stop if you have an hour or so.

Woah this place was a great spot to visit in this national park. It was nice to seem some of the history with the old houses. We actually saw elk in the prairie field next to this place. Loved seeing the openness for the chickens.

We only paid for parking! The farm is so beautiful and it runs along the River. There’s a trail that follows down too, lots of walkers and pups too!

Such a peaceful area, full of history and very well maintained. There were pigs and horse and one wild rooster who chased people around!! The river flowing through the area added such a relaxing sound, could stay there all day!! Oh and the outhouse helps the flowers grow!

Great stop for pioneering wonders. Beautiful creek and open field to catch a glimpse of elk passing through. Clean bathrooms and informative staff and small gift shop with model of the Mountain chain and locations.

We went to walk on a trail near the river. Nature is wonderful around the farm we didn't manage to visit museum cause it was late. There are some benches where you can sit and relax. Also you can see animals there. Be ready to take a pic of them. Also I saw people were fishing in a river. Trail will take about 1 hour in 1 way.

interesting open sir museum with demonstrating farm methods of the past. There are also some animals like pigs and chicken what is very interesting for children. And it is for free.

Very interesting museum with staff demonstrating some of the old farming methods. Makes you realize how labor intensive farming is and it involves the whole family including the very young children. Live Elk can be seen but it is important to keep your distance.

Worthwhile checking out and it's free. Historic village with a blacksmith, apple orchard, pig pen, corn crib and other buildings and history to learn about. There is also a nice walking trail next to the river.

We love this place. Every time we are in the area we stop in. Always so pretty no matter the time of the year. Nice to see the way mountain folks lived
