So
perfect
in
every
possible
way
-
It
would
be
a
cliché
to
call
this
place
a
hidden
gem,
and
that
would
belie
the
multitude
of
regulars
that
have
come
to
make
this
place
what
it
is,
the
best
incarnation
of
what
a
local
bar
could
aspire
to
-
a
place
that
is
of
the
community
and
it's
culture,
and
yet
with
an
identity
and
culture
all
it's
own.
Even
before
entering,
the
muffled,
plaintive
wail
of
electric
blues
beckons
from
inside
through
the
door,
and
once
entered
the
scene
immediately
strikes
one
as
perfectly
apropos,
from
the
understated
gritty
aesthetic
to
the
very
layout
of
the
building,
all
of
which
seem
to
show
reverential
deference
to
the
music.
We
sat
down
and
John
&
Chris
tended
bar
with
practiced
ease
while
delivering
the
kind
of
clever
humor
that
has
you
laughing
even
after
you
leave.
We're
that
all,
this
place
would
easily
be
a
favorite,
but
then,
like
finding
out
that
the
road
you
accidentally
took
is
actually
the
most
amazing
shortcut
-
the
food
was
the
BEST
STEAK
&
LAMB
I
have
ever
had.
This
magician
named
Bryan
Hawes
does
with
meat
what
Vermeer
did
with
oils
-
not
good
for
a
bar,
but
good
for
a
Michellin
star
restaurant;
-
good
enough
that
you
could
take
someone
here
who
hates
music
and
doesn't
drink
just
to
eat
(But
don't
take
those
kind
of
people
here,
and
why
would
you
want
to
hang
out
with
someone
like
that
anyway?)
Our
server
Lucy
made
us
feel
like
regular
VIPs,
and
after
eating
and
enjoying
the
music
an
expansive
patio
offers
an
environment
so
casual
and
unpretentious
that
it
almost
feels
like
you
are
just
hanging
out
with
friends
in
the
back
yard.
It
was
one
of
the
best
experiences
I've
had
in
Houston,
and
one
of
the
best
places
I've
found
anywhere.
Thank
you
sincerely
to
all
the
staff
at
Dan
Electro's
for
this
one
of
a
kind
gem.
