Come here if you don't want to be in a crowded beach. There are no lifeguards around but they do drive around here to check the area. We came here during an afternoon but i would HIGHLY recommend coming here before the sun sets to get that amazing sun set sky. We didn't see any snakes but there are warning signs of snakes. Parking in this area is extremely easy but the parking lot is gravel and not cement. Overall, a very nice place to enjoy the beach!

Easy access we were staying right across the road so it was nice just to hop in the truck and drive 0.1 mile. It's a little inconvenient that you have to carry stuff a little ways but there was only ever just a few folks around. Nice clean beach.

It's definitely less crowded than the beaches closer to town and cleaner too. Enjoyed an evening walk with my pup.

This place is amazing! Beautiful sunrise. Beautiful sunsets. Cozy nice atmospheres. Everyone and everything is in a very nice atmosphere. Being able to listen to the waves crash and be so close to the beach was the best. Made for an awesome amazing bachelor and bachelorette party!

Nice beach outside of the main seawall area. It wasn't as crowded, so we had plenty of space to run and play.

The beach is kept clean and there's a decent sized parking lot nearby that made it easy to get our things to the sand. It's Galveston, so the water wasn't clear but it was free of debris. The water was warm and we had a great time. We took a morning walk around 7:30 and didn't see many shells but that's probably because we weren't early risers. Unfortunately, there were a lot of tar balls on the shoreline when we were there so be sure to bring flip flops and towels that you aren't too attached to just in case. As always, stay out of the sand dunes and keep to the walkway to avoid rattlesnakes and trampling the native grasses that prevent erosion.
