Perfect resting stop en route to the NEMO Science Museum!! Very spacious, clean and light location and a great escape from the scorching heat! There are well marked signs leading you into the cafe and a traffic light queuing system in place. The order desk has a hilarious employee who yodels for the next customer to come forward. He has a great attitude, confidence and good banter. He was making all the customers laugh and was very very polite!! Honestly, he really deserves the 5 stars here! He made good menu recommendations too! When we walked through into the main seating area, our drinks were already ready and there were hand sanitizing stations. The staff here were equally as enthusiastic and kind. It is so refreshing to go to a place where the employees have good fun energy and don't make you feel like an inconvenience for choosing to eat/drink there! Other Starbucks locations could really learn from this venue!! It was clean, tidy, energetic - with quiet corners and outdoor seating! I strongly recommend any travellers to Amsterdam take a visit to this location!!

It all started with a creative (and very warm) store manager in California one summer day. He experimented with coffee and a blender, gathered some feedback from his customers, sent his ideas to Seattle and voila! Frappuccino® blended beverages were born. Today we offer them with or without coffee, regular or light, some with tea, some with juice. Chances are good our seasonal menu features a Frappuccino® blended beverage or two, with some special flavours that are only available once every year!

This is probably the first and last time I will visit Starbucks in this area. First of all, the staff is unbelievably rude telling us 30 minutes before closing time that we have to hurry. In the meantime the manager keeps staring at us until we feel forced to leave, even though there was still plenty of time left to enjoy our Frappuccino’s. My drink contained way too much ice, leaving a disgusting slurry to be thrown away (see picture). The setting is nice creating a warm atmosphere with great ambient lighting, but I can’t say that’s worth it paying for rude staff that don’t even know how to handle basic tasks properly. If you don’t want people to visit your cafeteria, then don’t open one in de center of Amsterdam.

Very nice location. Went to meet a client there, so very easy to get to from the Amsterdam Centraal (central train station). Large and Spacious Coffee Shop, with a very nice terrace outside and a view of the canal.

My favorite place for a chill weekend morning. Best Starbucks in Amsterdam in my opinion. Lots of seats so feel free to bring a book with you. The music here is so great, nostalgic and happy. The staff are so so nice, they have fun working. In the winter there’s enough heating and in the summer there’s enough AC.

Nice Starbucks at a great location, right at the water. Great service and they place funny names on the cups for you! Coffee is as at all Starbucks, good. The special coffees are always perfect, nice taste. Although normal coffees are a bit expensive. The atmosphere inside is good, but when sun is shining you can sit outside and enjoy the view!

Definitely the best Starbucks in Amsterdam. Always friendly, always fast. And plenty of seating. I only wish they’d ban smoking outside as in the U.S.

What a clown show this location! Employees who think they are funny by yelling at customers and renaming them. Also in the background loud musical music. Very sad to see the manager Jacco being the loudest and the other staff going along with that. Not an ideal place to sit quietly and relaxed for a cup of coffee. Unless you like someone shouting continuously in the background.

My friend and I came here to catch-up and we ended talking about the positivity and great vibe of the two baristas! It certainly brightened up our day on a cold, cloudy and rainy Saturday. We forgot their names, but it was on Saturday 11 September 2021, the barista taking our orders was too funny and the barista calling out our drinks noticed our sense of sarcasm and that was just awesome. Thank you guys for your work and having worked behind the counter myself before I know how it's not always easy. Well done!

This post is for the manager (and for customers also), because i want to make sur he knows that the barman named us the « high guys » on our cup (i spelled him our names). Was a man at 12am somehting like that

Overall a good place, personally didn't like that the employee taking my order was yelling at everyone, I can get that it's "fun" for some people, but not everyone's always in the mood to be yelled at or in strong sarcasm

Great place in Amsterdam to grab a Starbucks coffee. Located right next to the main station and close by from the touristy area. You can expect the usual Starbucks quality and a very quick, motivated and helpful staff.

Even though I don't really like Starbucks' coffee in Amsterdam, this place has a fantastic view that compensates for the coffee! If it's not raining or too hot I highly recommend sitting outside watching the beautiful view of the river and Amsterdam's center.

The worst Starbucks I've ever been. The salesman is noisy, shouting something all the time. He asks for a name and then does not write it. And he didn't even give me a receipt showing the toilet code, so I couldn't go there.

Not too impressed. Coming from another country I did not know I had to scan a qr code and answer few questions related to Covid. I do agree that it's a great idea to place qr codes on the tables and have people do that. What I did not agree too much with is the way the barista approached me in a not too friendly way. I stay polite and calm while trying to explain her that I was not aware I was supposed to do so. When I was sitting at my table, I noticed that her and her coworker kept on looking at me and my son in a not so friendly way. My 8 year even noticed that and asked what was the issue. As always, I tried to explain him that wherever you go there are good and not so good people that's what all societies are made out of. I sat there at the table for a moment enjoying my coffee which was not bad at all, when my little boy asked if he could have a cup of ice water. I walked to the counter and asked as polite as I can if I could have a cup of water. Once again, the same person was acting annoyed filled up a cup a little over a half no ice no lid with water dripping from one side put on the counter and walked off. I have witnessed, bad behavior like this all my life but this one was a little too much, especially in a city as great as Amsterdam which I always loved and adored. Another thing, I wanted to bring out was a filthy table that could've used some cleaning, which you would see in one of the pictures. Instead both baristas just sat behind the counter not carrying. To use the bathrooms, you have to go down stairs and enter a code. I had to use it so bad but was to embarrassed to ask for the code. Thankfully, a great guy was kind enough as most people from Holland and told me that the code was printed on my receipt. I went back upstairs and got it. The bathrooms were very clean. Another think I love about this place is the view. This Starbucks unlike many other is situated in an excellent corner which let's you have a great view of the streets around and the canal. Love you Amsterdam.

A nice corner Starbucks but way too little tables and chairs while there is plentiful space. Like, add some furniture because this feels like poverty...! Staff is nice and coffee great of course.

Came here the second time after a few years cuz a had such a nice experience over there then. I was able to recognize some people over there from the past. The cafe is running with the same energy ... Awesome. Love this place

Opens super early even on weekends. Staff have a great sense of humour, know what they are doing. Always got my coffee really quickly.

Staff is very kind, funny and fast, especially the students from the conservatory down the road. Which is where you'll find a Coffee Company and me, because they have many different newspapers every day and this Starbucks doesn't anymore! Nice corner Starbucks, sparsely decorated with dark wooden chairs and tables, first coffee place in Amsterdam to open in the morning. Many sockets for charging laptops and such. The nicest Starbucks bathrooms ever are down the stairs and free with a purchase (access code on your receipt). Definitely the best Starbucks in Amsterdam

👍 A cozy restaurant with a view. I liked those Avocado chips very much. Comparatively budget friendly in central Amsterdam. (More ideal for a coffee date.) They are providing white bread with steak. . . PS: Don’t forget to reserve a table and visit the restaurant.
