This place is incredible. The building itself is a work of art. I have been to a lot of motor related museums and shows etc but this is by far the best. Some priceless vehicles here of great historical interest. Some of the most unique and valuable vehicles that l have ever seen all displayed with plenty of information regarding each exhibit. Highly recommended.

Marvelous museum of automotive history. You can see a wide variety of cars and trucks from all over the world. There are unique pieces on display. Plan for two to three hours. Two hours means rushing.

Beautiful museum full of amazing cars! It is very interesting to see the evolution cars have been through since they were starting to come out around the end of the 1700’s. I really recommend visiting this museum, as it’s usually not too crowded and you can see a broad diversity of very well-maintained cars (and even some motorcycles and bicycles). Around the museum is also a small forest where you can take a nice walk

Great museum for car lovers, Good Restaurant, Car Parking in underground with a lot of parking spots, Friendly staffs, Free with museumkaart, Wheel-chair friendly. Not a kid friendly ( < 5 years old ) as they won't find any playing stuffs anywhere. In each floor, there are a lot of history to ready with and you would be amazed when you read about each and every car of those days. I would definitely go again. You should start from second floor to start the journey with vehicles with horses to slowly see how it was getting upgraded from 1600s to 2000.

What a wonderful place to visit. If u are car lover, u can find a lot of antique car, motorcycle, truck, racing car, trishaw and a lot more to explore. Thousand of vehicle and limited edition car u never see on real life. Worth to visit if u are in Netherlands. After tour can have a cup of coffee inside the museum. Surrounding with beautiful landscaping and liver.

The museum is well-kept, very organised, and easy to access. There is a massive sample of cars, trailers, motorcycles, bicycles and objects, all full of history behind. The themed cafe/restaurant is an attraction itself at the end of the tour.

Fascinating museum with a really well displayed collection. Absolutely worth spending an afternoon at. I really enjoyed how up close and personal you were able to get with all the vehicles, being able to have a panoramic view of most of them. Even ones behind glass were often visible from multiple angles allowing for a fantastic viewing experience. All information was available in both English and Dutch and, following the layout of the museum, you followed an extremely interesting and educational history of the automobile, while seeing some of the most interesting, quirky, and iconic vehicles of the 20th century. I really enjoyed my time there and, if the tickets were not so expensive, I would be back very very soon.

The museum is very nice and has some nice exhibits- rare and old cars. I didn't like that there were no activities or interactive games for children. I understand the museum was created for car lovers but the children could also benefit and learn more. Unfortunately my daughters got bored because there was nothing you could do hands on, a game with cars or explanations about engines for kids.

(Translated by Google) Superb museum where young and old, car enthusiast or art lover can all agree in my opinion. The measures are perfectly enforced and the walking route is clearly displayed. (Original) Schitterend museum waar jong en oud, autoliefhebber of kunstliefhebber zich naar mijn mening allemaal wel in kunnen vinden. Somehow this museum turned me into an old car enthusiast 😅 Absolutely amazing collection! From horse buggies to Elvis' Cadillac, to cars from The Godfather, to Sreve McQueen's Baja, they have it all. Every room we went to made my jaw drop. We spent so much time here, so many floors and rooms, all filled with different vehicles that you absolutely must see.

Loved it here, they made it so beautiful I’ve been here many times and have seen multiple shows. If your in the area this is definitely a place to go. I would recommend checking for tickets online rather than on site, but the tickets aren’t that expensive for such a great museum. English is spoken as a main language but t Dutch is secondary.

Stunning collection of cars from antique to modern. There are a few bikes on show as well. Additionally, automobile art, toys related to cars and lots more. The presentation of the vehicles and the variety are next to none. Probably one of the greatest collections there is. The location is easily accessible by bus from the city. Souvenir shop, a restaurant and bathrooms are available within the vicinity. Entrance fee was EUR19 for an adult if I recall correctly. If you are a petrol head then this is not to be missed. Top!

Great museum to visit and well laid out. I liked how it showed our transition from horse-drawn vehicles to modern cars. Some wonderful examples of rare and special automobiles. By the time we had looked at all the exhibits, the dining area had stopped serving food, but the staff were nice and able to supply drinks quickly.

Great car collection, and great collection organization – with history and tons of information. There is something to be found for everyone, as it isn't just a few cars on display, but also how cars influenced the everyday culture: from art to toys, etc. Since many exhibition items are presented with a lot of additional information, and the visit to Louwman museum becomes an educational experience beyond mere gawking at a bunch of cars. I would definitely come here again!

Amazing experience! It costs 2-3 hours without rush and no reading. I will definitely come visit again soon. Cars are in great share. Expect cars from the begging of car industry till 1970s ish. Art gallery is amazing as well. But cafe is charming. I love how they decorate it as a street.

Fantastic place where the history is shown through cars, our predecessors have seen every day on roads when going out for daily routine. Absolutely great experience and great thanks for the team of enthusiasts taking care of masterpieces. Museum card is accepted, underground parking for just about 8 eur, stairs to museum are in far left corner from the entrance, don’t miss cars in the underground too!

  • 5/5 Mister J. 4 years ago on Google
An absolutely fabulous car museum that does a nice job of showing off the cars, but also explaining the significance of each vehicle. There are cars from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, USA and other countries. Informational signs are in Dutch and English. The entrance price initially seems steep, but it is well worth it. Kids and adults will enjoy the experience. 16 euro entrance fee for adults. They do offer a 3 euro discount for students and kids under 18 also get a discount (8 or 10 euro discount, depending on age). Kids under 5 are free.

Great story telling of the development of mobility starting with carriages and steam car. Also a lot of peripheral items like trophies, accessories development (gaslight > led) and even collections of automobile related china (brand and otherwise) For the ‘walk through the decades’ I would prefer to see more space as the very car (OPEL 1910) my dad had driven was stuck between other cars at the back, impossible to reach.

I have never thought that a Museum with cars would cause so much excitement for me. I advise everyone to visit this Museum at least once! You will be impressed. Here are the cars of different times. It is very interesting to see how the appearance and composition of cars changed. I believe that this Museum will be interesting not only to men , but also to women, without a doubt. Especially for those who are delighted with Elvis Presley - you will be able to see the car that belonged to him.

We came there because of Kunst & Kitsch, the two antique paintings turned out not to be worth much. But a nice experience, a plus is the free parking day at this car museum. Parking costs 6 euros per day, so it is not too bad. A beautiful arrangement of the old-timers in a beautifully recreated old atmosphere.

Amazing show. Huge amount of money spent for a unique collection of cars 🤣🤩 the order of display was a bit fuzzy to me, the ticket 2021 costs 16euros with NO museum card (they do NOT accept it!), but I must say it's totally worth it. Parking lot available, and if you have an old old car you can park it outside, in front, in total display! Loads of loud kiddos but if you are not bothered it's all right. Bar at the end/beginning always kinda full, better to book in advance. The entire tour took us around 2 hours. It's huuuge.

CAR Lovers. Go for it. It will make your day. Well maintained museum with great collection of cars. You need to start from 2nd floor and come down to have a time travel and evolution of motor industry (specially 4 wheelers). It has a under ground car park for 6eur. It has a small cafe inside for quick bites and beer. Parking is just out side the museum for smooth Wheel chair access to museum. It takes atleast 3 hours to do a decent tour of the museum. For car lovers, you can easily spend the entire day. Accessible by museum card. No prior reservation required.

Thank you Louwman Museum for the experience. :)

Must visit museum in Den Haag. They have an excellent collection of vintage cars, well preserved and presented. You would travel through the history of automotive in the making. Be prepared to spend at least 2hrs. But definitely worth the experience. Automotive lovers do give this place a try.

Unexpectedly different car, and related, museum meticulously presented in a bespoke building on manicured grounds. Perdect for the whole family. Easily accessible, spacious and unobtrusively staffed ready to help. We visited with an infant in a pram and a toddler and it was still enjoyable. There was even a quiet nook to feed the littlest one. The collection is amazing and ranges from artworks/games to statues and 300 years old coaches. Of course there are vehicles but they are the most eclectic and unique examples. Many are one of a kind or unrestored pieces of automotive history. From the 19th century to the 1960s (most from before 1940s). Cars I never knew existed present tastefully and given the room and background they deserve. I cannot think of a better way to spend a few hours. Certainly worth a second or third look. Insider tip: bring a car that is 40 years old or more and you can park in front of the entrance for free!

Amazingly rich collection, in a nice building, with proper spacing. Not just cars, but anything car related, not just for car enthusiasts. Hard to make it in two hours, I would rather plan three. Dutch museumcard is accepted, but the parking is seven euros. Getting close to the closing hours it was impossible to get the attention of the waiters, so we gave up on the restaurant, although it looked nice.

Wow. An extensive collection built up over many years with information in English and Dutch. Tracing the history of the motor car. Art and design on wheels. I spent about 3 hours going through the museum but could have taken longer. The purpose built premises flows well, exhibits are well presented and there is an excellent cafe. It’s not just cars there are also paintings/ prints and other memorabilia. Plenty of parking. Whether you are interested in cars if not this is an excellent day out.

One of the best specialist museums that I have ever visited. Modern, well designed and atmospheric building with a superb collection on 3 floors, all laid out so that you can easily follow a route around and not miss a thing. All exhibits are labelled in Dutch and English and rather than the text being over long with too many facts and figures like in a lot of museums the content is short and interesting. Some really unique items. Well worth a visit or even two!

Amazing. Liked the special for the F1, but also amazing the "standard" museum. Definitely worth a visit. There are historical vehicles, amazing reconstructions, real used racing cars, concept cars and even more. It's possible to enter with the Dutch museum card

The collection of artifacts in this museum is amazing, the location and the interiors are also a highlight. The restaurant that you can visit at the end (or beginning) of a tour has a great atmosphere of an early 1900' European town square. I recommend visiting to everyone, not only those interested in automobiles.

It's very very interesting if you're into reading about and looking at cars - which , luckily, I am! Unfortunately it's a bit boring for the kids. They were interested for a while , but it's alot of walking and alot of reading. There is a food place near the end of the museum, and there are bathrooms littered along the museum trail. Honestly a very interesting and fun place , just don't bring your kids or they'll be rushing you along.

Nice museum full of cars, car related stuff and even some other vehicles. Unfortunately, despite being advertised as "childproof", it's not. None of the models can be touched, nothing is interactive and experience for kids is rather frustrating (especially compared to Space Expo). Of you're a true car enthusiast, then it's a must see, otherwise it's a nice visit, but not mandatory. Complaints aside, cafeteria looks really nice and it's a shame that idea of making it look like an old street wasn't implemented in other parts of the museum.

Best car museum we have experienced so far. We went during their F1 Legends exposition and we were able to admire lots of unique winning prototypes and so many other cars. Definitely a must do when in The Hague!

Super! Mega super! Very recommend! The history of mechanical engineering from the beginning. A lot of cars of different brands and years. If you love cars, you will get a lot of fun . Time flies by unnoticed. We spent 3.5 hours. Near each car there is a description in English and Dutch. I recommend!!!

What a delightful surprise! Although I'm not a major automotive enthusiast, I found myself spending time in this museum for more than two to three hours. The outstanding collection of 230+ cars makes this museum a must-visit attraction when in The Hague 🇳🇱.

Awesome collection of vintage cars. It is very interesting to see the car's history and innovations. Different brands and their ideas. Highly recommended. Those who are in the automotive sector will love it. You will need at least 2.5 to 3 hours but better if you spend the whole day in opening hours.

Our second visit as by the time we got to the end last time round we were flagging and raced through a bit. Since our last visit the museum has changed some of its exhibits and we found it as enchanting as last time and still ran out of oomph so to speak. I am not a car freak but you cannot fail to be amazed at the design, creativity, flair and innovation. We can heartily recommmend. The building is worth it alone as purpose built for the job and really well laid out.

Excellent car museum. From early cars to the 1960ies. Nicely displayed. Typical Dutch lunch restaurant. Parking is extra underneath the castle like building. They don’t take cash so be prepared. They have the first electric car! Worth the detour. Signs in Dutch and English.

A history of vehicles from the horse drawn cart to modern times. The most emersive car museum I have been. The intuitive displays maximise the visual and sensory experience of this museum. The detail and collection are unbelievable. I could have easily gone back the next day.

World-class car museum with a wide variety of cars, automobilia, motorbikes, art and aircrafts. The collection is massive and takes you through more than a century of worldwide motoring history over three floors. For me, the Spyker is their pinnacle in this collection and has it's own tower, which you can access from a hallway. Fantastic restaurant and great entertainment for the kids.

This private collection of cars and related art etc is fantastic. If you like cars, then allow yourself at least half a day to explore the vast museum spread over 3 floors.

Amazing museum. 3 floors of rare, well maintained cars. You dive into the history of each car. More than 5 stars!

This is an amazing place. There are so many unique cars at this place! I didn't expect to stay here for 4 hours and still need 2 more. 3 floors fully loaded with cars. Thank you!

If you love cars, you have to visit the museum. Five yourself some time to read all about the amazing cars and history. The Cafe is very good as well and so the merchandise shop.

Amazing museum. Highly recommend. Museumkaart is accepted and can buy at the desk. Beautiful building and land. Excellent collection of various vehicles through the ages. Cars from The Godfather, James Bond, Elvis Presley, Winston Churchill. Some "world first"s and "world's only"s. Lots of great information in Dutch and in English, as well as an audio tour on Spotify in various languages so bring your earphones if you're interested in that. Very sweet cafe area between old-fashioned 'store fronts', and a small shop by the exit where you can get various small models. I will definitely go again.

Fantastic museum definitely worth a stop. Very nice collection and it includes a Bond car, the world's oldest Toyota, the Continental used in the Godfather, an impressive collection of racing cars and more. One of the better museums I have been to.

Amazing experience! Such a great museum! Will be interesting for all car lovers. Audio guide is super! Unfortunately we came 1,5 hour before closure and this was a big mistake. Book 2.5-3 hours for your visit. We will definitely come back to spend more time there and we highly recommend to visit this place for all our friends

This special place is quite possibly one of the most beautiful museums you will visit in your lifetime. From the moment you enter, you are enthralled by the rich history of automobiles. The vast collection of cars is extraordinary, and special attention has been given to each car. Starting with the world's first car built in 1887 to the modern electronic hybrid car... what a ride! The restaurant is a surprise as you are immersed in a victorian era.

They have a really good collection of the cars. I’ve enjoyed walking and observing everything. I’ve some sort expected more cars to be here, but either way they have pretty much enough. They even have my favourite Maserati. No one noticed my watch, but I’m still proud of it. Recommend to visit if you are car enthusiasts.

Fantastic, much better than expected. The museum features enormous and various types of vehicles and belongings, combination of architecture and art, and definitely a must see museum close to the hauge. Parking lots and wheelchair accessible.

Love this one. Not the big fan of motor museums, but some cars just makes me say "Wow!!!". If you think that you will spend an hour in it...you are wrong. You can dive deep in years back in time and see the first motorised vehicles. Motocircles, sport cars, big one, short one, red one, black one ...any kind of. A lot of some extra rarity things. Some art halls. Modelings, trophy cups and so, and so, and so...that was a 4 hours trip into world of cars. PS. Charge your phone and take some extra powerbank, couse you will take a lot of pictures.
