Very nice exhibitions about historic documents of the city, with super nice personel. The building itself is also super cool, take a look to the old security vaults or the boiler room! The museum shop has great souvenirs of the city, specially books, nice postcards or posters. And at a good price.

We had not been sure about coming here, but were happy we did. There is a fantastic exhibition about Amsterdam's history in the treasury, and at the moment an additional special foto exhibition.

For the price I would have expected better quality. Beer ran out after 1 round. Fish was interesting but not great. Cake was good. Service was ok

Very cool place to swing by for great coffee and a interesting gallery. The archives exhibit such varied things as small photo exhibitions, old manuscripts and legal documents critical to Amsterdam history, manuscripts and other pieces that are a part of the cities DNA. In the old bank vault in the basement you might even spot a real Rembrandt, without the lines of the Reichs Museum.

Great building, the old city archive and bank. The have great exhibitions as well as permanent items. Great location just down from the Vizelgracht metro.

The place has free exhibitions. There was a purple stand with multimedia desk, which explained the city's history, the canals, people, etc. Interesting information with photos. If you visit this place, you don't need to go to the Museum of Canals and pay €16. This place gives more info. The reception staff was very helpful, too.

Located in the monumental De Bazel building, in the heart of Amsterdam, the Amsterdam City Archives is the largest – and many say the most beautiful – city archive in the world.
