My partner and I were in Amsterdam in October last year when we stumbled upon this place. They make you pay for water! My partner is French and we live in London, never have I come across a restaurant even in a five star where you definitely need to buy bottled water - I cannot even imagine how this is legal from a consumer policy point of view. Further, it's a burger place, and it charges for basic sauces like mustard and mayo additionally which is ridiculous. It has exquisite looks, including the bathroom and the service is impeccable, however, I was not sure of the pricing and policy of certain items - which is why I have uploaded the bill. The cocktails were nice and fair price for the gimmicks! but for a good cocktail and decent hot dog, I am not coming back.

This is really great burgers that are served quickly and taste excellent. We went after Van Gogh museum. We tried the Back to Kansas burger and it tasted yummy. The fries is good. Service is superb.

I came across this place as I was wondering through the streets of Amsterdam. You actually need a reservation before going but I was luck enough to get a seat at the counter. Their food menu has catchy names that makes you excited for your food. It is really a nice place and the burger was very delicious and the waiter was nice.

If you are struggling to find a good burger in the Netherlands than this is the place to go. They have some of the best burgers I have ever had in the Netherlands. They also to specialized orders well. I also loved the theme; The Wizard of Oz (I am from Kansas). The restroom was also nice. However you had to pay for water, and said that they had no tap water when I asked. Most restaurants in the Netherlands make you pay for bottled water. However this is the first one the I have come across that refuses to give you tap water. Because of this it is a over all good restaurant.

Amazing burgers, great atmosphere (interior design & service) and fabulous cocktails! Even gluten free options are available. Further, we got our food and drinks really quickly. Can only recommend this place :)

**You pay an obligatory service fee of 15%** They say in the response to this critique that the service fee is optional, yet noone asked us or gave us any option at the time, the fee was plastered in the bill for us to pay. Sure, we could complain and probably cause a fuss about it. I still think its in bad taste to sneak in a fee for us to pay like that. The burger was very tasty, but small and still not worth the price you pay. Mediocre quality/price ratio. Final rating 3.

Fantastic staff who seem to really like their job, but who wouldn’t if you work in the Emerald City! The interior is really cool:) and yes, the burgers were delicious! We had Munchkin Hamburgers and truffle fries which were really nice, but we soon realised we had eyes bigger than stomach:) In response to the comments about charges for water, in many places around the world you are charged for bottled water. On my recent trip to Portugal we paid for it almost everywhere and yes, this is legal. I also lived in London for quite a while and sorry guys, but London is not a measuring cup, although customer service there is great.

The atmosphere and the service were both immaculate. The staff were friendly and organised and I really appreciated the quick breakdown of the menu which helped us make our choice. I loved the room at the back with the skylight and the greenery. In my opinion, I thought that my burger was too saucy but that’s just because I really don’t enjoy a lot of sauce in my food. Other than that, everything tasted fresh and delicious and the presentation of the food alongside the service were both great!

Lovely restaurant! The atmosphere is great and the burgers are very good. The staff are all very friendly too. Thank you Peter for recommending a burger, very tasty. It's a great place to eat before or after a visit to the Van Gogh Museum.

Best burger in town! You truly enjoy that fulfilled bite, I ordered the vegetarian burger and my partner took the one with Angus meat, on a side fries with cheese, food was very well made. The service is honest and the restrooms are clean. Everything was wonderful.

Very nice restaurant with good food. Service was also great, waiters were very kind and helpfull. The theming is very fun and pretty. We ordered the scarecrow and the lion's not chicken with sides of oz rings, sweet baked potato and fries with pulled pork. All the sides were very delicious, the scarecrow was also very good and had lots of flavor. Yet the lion's not chicken was a bit dissapointing in terms of flavor. Only negative point for us was that the service was not included in the bill.In Belgium service is always included, so this was very confusing to us. Also this was the only restaurant in Amsterdam where we had this happen.

While I definitely enjoyed my time at the Burger Room, the actual burger left something to be desired. The ingredients themselves were tasty but somehow when put together it doesn't live up to "best burger in the Netherlands". Staff were friendly and drinks were tasty, and they go into the Wizard of Oz theme in an enjoyable way.

Great food, great selection too. Menu comes with suggested cocktail pairings and they were spot on. Very friendly staff and though it was crowded when we were there they still took time with us. 5 star.

The best rankad burgers in Amsterdam and that's true! Look on this burger We couldn't have our meal inside because of restrictions. It was lucky sunny day for us so we went to the big green jard nearby Van Gogh-museet. We've got milkshake and it was the best ever I tasted in my life (I've been in many countries and cities around the world) Our visit was during lockdown in December 2021in Netherlands. We took a couple of foto inside during vi was waiting for our order to go! I hope our next time in Amsterdam we vill be able to visit you again and join the atmosphere inside.

We really enjoyed the Burger Room. The location is perfect for lunch between museums. The WOO theme is fun and carried through the whole menu. The service was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and well-spoken. The decor and atmosphere is fantastic and makes the experience feel upscale but still fun. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. I would not hesitate to return.

Good place if you are a burger fan. There is a lot of choice for burgers and they even have a mini slider of three signature burgers if you are finding it difficult to make up your mind. The place itself has a very nice vibe and staff was very friendly. From the sides, I highly recommend sweet potato and truffle fries seemed very nice too. Although we didnt try dessert but exciting options on the menu if you have a sweet tooth

Amazing burgers! The staff is very kind and friendly. The interior design is inspired by The Wizard of Oz! Very cool! The decoration in the bathroom is very nice as well. ++ They are pet friendly and my dog was treated as a queen (exactly what she is) :)

I recently visited this restaurant in Amsterdam and had the pleasure of trying their burger and Mac and Cheese. Overall, I enjoyed the flavors of both dishes. However, I have a small comment about the burger. The sous was a bit overloaded, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the taste of the burger itself. The service at the restaurant was good, although I feel that the staff could be more friendly and approachable. There was an incident where I asked one of the staff members to cut the burger for me, but to my surprise, I was told to do it myself because the knife was sharp enough. It was a bit unexpected and left me slightly disappointed. Additionally, I believe it would be beneficial if the management provided their staff with more knowledge about the different grades of Wagyu. As a customer, I expected someone to be able to answer my question about the type of Wagyu, especially considering the price difference between Angus and Wagyu. On the bright side, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, creating a pleasant dining experience. However, I found the prices to be quite high, particularly considering the type of food being served. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the best burger in Amsterdam, but it's important to keep in mind the points I mentioned.

Service was slow but friendly. Food was nicely presented but underwhelming for the price (I had sliders and onion rings). Well stocked bar but drinks aren't cheap. The wizard of Oz theme is a cute idea but other than the names of items on the menu and one picture on the wall, there's nothing Oz themed about this restaurant or its decor.

Stopped here for burgers after visiting the Van Gogh Museum. The food was a bit pricey by Amsterdam standards but was absolutely worth it. Lots of customizations and the burgers were cooked perfectly. Absolutely hit the spot after a long day of walking. The staff was friendly and attentive as well.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Burger Room, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. This was my second visit to the restaurant, and it did not disappoint. First and foremost, the food at The Burger Room is delectable. The burgers are cooked to perfection, with juicy patties and a plethora of toppings to choose from. The flavors are bold and satisfying, leaving me with a full and happy belly after every bite. The menu also offers a variety of sides, such as crispy fries and onion rings, which complement the burgers perfectly. Not only is the food top-notch, but the ambiance of the restaurant is also worth praising. The decor is trendy and inviting, creating a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff at The Burger Room are friendly and attentive, making sure that every customer feels welcome and well taken care of. Their knowledge of the menu and their willingness to accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions only adds to the overall positive experience. And let's not forget about the desserts! The selection of sweet treats at The Burger Room is simply divine. the dessert menu is a sugary heaven. I highly recommend trying ‘’ TIN MAN’S TREAT’’. Overall, my visit to The Burger Room was nothing short of amazing. The delicious food, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere truly made it a memorable dining experience. If you're craving a mouthwatering burger accompanied by great service and an enjoyable setting, The Burger Room is without a doubt the place to go.

Absolutely incredible staff, very friendly and helpful! Burgers were priced above-average (compared to back home in the UK...) but the quality spoke for itself. Our hotel recommended this place and it's clear to see why!

Had a wonderful dinner at the Burger Room when visiting Amsterdam! Most of our interactions were with Saar and Dennis who made us feel like long time customers even though it was our first time there, they were both very friendly, accommodating and offered great suggestions for our meals. The cocktails were inventive and menu included pairings that complemented them well. Over all, we had a great experience and it set the tone for a wonderful trip to Amsterdam. We would definitely love to come back next time we visit!

Nice experience but not a top tier burger. Very clasy and comfortable setting. The burger was tasty but not mind blowing. Onion rings were mashed not real full onion rings, The potatos were mediocre. The coolest part was the mayo and the Ketchup that came in metal tubes (3 euro cost) Over all nice experience I will come again, tasty but not a top tier burger in my opinion

Such a great time! Burger was excellent with creative combos and fries were yummy with these cute mayo paint tubes! Got a great beer to go with the burger but the cocktails looked awesome. Lastly, they gave us these mini burger candies and wet wipes for after the meal! Such a creative touch.

We stumbled upon The Burger room after an intense day of sightseeing! The staff were exceptionally accommodating. The ambience was opulent with a good dose of whimsy! Wizard of oz ; the emerald city. It wasn't overly themed just the best accents there of. The burgers were spectacular, as where the chorizo croquets and pulled pork topped fries. All in all a delightful experience. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Best burgers in Amsterdam without any doubt. We travelled from Eindhoven for them and the experience was worth the trip. The location is cozy and fancy, I would recommend a table in the backyard. The staff is really nice and friendly. The burgers were simply gorgeous. We appreciated the food quality, preparation and presentation. We will go there again, absolutely!

The place, the service and the burgers are on another level! I recommend the scarecrow and the cheesecake. If you visit Amsterdam, this place must be in your list ;)

Excellent place! Great decor and atmosphere. I had 'The Scarecrow' burger and a Moscow Mule to drink, and they were both perfect. Service by Ricardo and Andrea was spot on. My only complaint is that I couldn't fit a dessert, as the Freakshakes looks amazing!

My daughter and I were killing some time in the area, waiting for our reservation time at the Van Gogh Museum, and happened upon this place right as they were about to open. Normally you would need a reservation, but they let us in anyways, and we're thrilled that they did! Our handsome young Scottish server was very helpful in explaining the menu to us, and the variety they offer is amazing. We loved the decor, and the staff were all really helpful and kind. My daughter had the Scarecrow burger, and loved it... she decided Black Angus is her new favorite meat. It was so big that we had to save the other half for later. I had the Nachos, which were fine, nothing spectacular, but I may be a little spoiled when it comes to nachos because I've spent time in Mexico. Their cocktail menu was really interesting and varied, and the limoncello "Yellow Brick Road" was quite tasty, if not a bit strong to be consuming at lunch. This unexpected stop was the highlight of our day, and a welcome break before our tour of the Van Gogh Museum across the street!

Delicious and fancy burger, crunchy fries and spectacular cocktails! But also expensive... Nice vibe, friendly waiters and sought-after location. Worth to try at least once :)

  • 3/5 Marcelo E. 2 years ago on Google
My experience was under the expectations. I've received very good indications about the quality of the burger. But considering the price, the burger didn't taste so special. Definitely not bad, but you cannot chose how cooked you want your burger. It seemed a bit overcooked. Fries also not crispy. Seems more like a place for tourists - there are cheaper and more tasty burgers in town. What frustrated me the most is the water price: 7 euros for a big bottle. They don't serve tap water as other restaurants. A positive aspect is the staff, which is very attentive and polite.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price.
