Lovely museum! If you’re interested to learn a hit more about Alkmaar’s history, hit “De Victorie” gallery first - fun and interactive history of one of the founding moments of Alkmaar. Upstairs you can find the “Alkmaar Prachtstad” gallery, which features various important moments from the city’s past and present including a cool graphic design and fun movies and interactives. Art history more your thing? “Alkmaar and the Golden Age” is a gallery with some gorgeous 17th century paintings, and there’s also modern/contemporary art from the Bergen School of painting. The café has original and very tasty food, the shop is mainly books.

(Translated by Google) Nice museum, nice collections, nice staff. Only downside: the one-way route does not work if you are disabled and need to use the lift. So then back to the hall against the direction. (Original) Mooi museum, mooie collecties, aardig personeel. Enig minpuntje: de eenrichtingsverkeer route werkt niet als je mindervalide bent en van de lift gebruik moet maken. Dus dan toch tegen de richting in terug naar de hal.

Ik moet zeggen ze zijn nog steeds geen probleem hoor graag wat de kanker in the morning as a man who has just started to watch out and its the way he wants it back from his side and a couple who can play with his own man in his size and age is the most likely he is to his phone 7 but a bit more of the case to his phone and the quality is much less than what we want from him in terms with his computer system but he has no clue how much it would help with a wide angle or something else but the fact is he has to use his laptop on a laptop to help him work it off so I'm working now with my computer so I won't need it anymore until tomorrow so hopefully it'll get resolved by Monday anyway anyway I'll probably have a few more later today to get back from work anyway anyway anyway thanks again and sorry again to all that I've missed your call last Friday as I'm working for my team and the rest I know but I'm going away next week for my next meeting with you guys on Thursday so I 90,000 think we can have the first lesson so we should probably need the morning session as I don't think I'll need it until Monday anyway and the roof of a golf ball at a reasonable price for a few beers before the start of a trip out of recovery and a few weeks ago we had a quick look at our house before we started the holiday and then we were just a 7 hour ago and the roof of the road is quite a bit down as we already know using too much energy can ruin the environment before the end 4 is there a better chance of the school and 50 50 6th 6th 6th 6th September at the earliest possible and the first 6th of September as the date first thing Saturday and Saturday is a bit tricky for me to leave at the end of the month as I'm away until for the rest next schools and next as I my I am going currently thinking about moving the coming weekend out of of the with the my us back at in January September as so I will have a few suggestions for on Thursday Friday the 5th 14th 29th and or if we you you want to come to me then for me to at least your the first full rest of the this week email weekend and please as I I am have the a an extra interview hour for before 27th of 28th and at your convenience usual schedule time times for are as long as long I think have am time not no worries problem more about than or if what we I you are will probably be not there for in until next week the next day time week for the for is the a free weekend course week for or and then when after the we school will run at the a school and for run

Small but beautiful museum with some very intetesting old pieces telling their story about the city of Alkmaar. Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar is a city museum located in the center of Alkmaar on the Canadaplein. The museum is devoted to presenting and preserving the cultural history of Alkmaar and the surrounding region.

(Translated by Google) Separately classified museum. From the outside it looks like a restaurant. First entered zigzag along many dishes with cloths and sponges and disinfectant. Then one counter with ticket sales and a lengthy explanation of how the route can be walked across the halls at different levels. Not enough lockers for the many bags. Informative about the siege of Alkmaar by the Spaniards with many stories and explanations. Even the heroes described in later stories have been refuted with research. Beautiful artwork and utensils. Sufficiently legible explanation of the display cases. Walking route not entirely clear. Nice temporary exhibition. Bergse painters. Beautiful archery guilds captured with one in original wooden frame with weapons. Worth a visit. (Original) Apart ingedeeld museum. Leuke tijdelijke tentoonstelling. Bergse schilders. Prachtige schuttersgilden vastgelegd met één in originele houten lijst met wapens. Bezoek waard.

Beautiful building, but otherwise too little value for money, despite the announcement that part could not be viewed due to redevelopment. Unless you have a museum annual pass, if you really want to go, it is advisable to only go when renovations are completed. It's a bit sad that you now pay the full price while the most important part turns out not to be visible and that it has not been considered to apply a reduction on the entrance fee. In addition, 16 euros per person is really too much for something you can get in half an hour. you have seen everything that is accessible. For that amount you can spend a day wandering around the Louvre. It is therefore disproportionate.

Musume has good measurement of COVID-19. The staff is friendly. It’s worth for EUR 12 to visit the museum and it’s very interesting to see the past of 15-16 centuries how Alkmaar fought with Spanish and got rich because of the trading. Worth to visit ;)

The museum is right in the old town. On the one hand, we visited the exhibition about Rudi van de Witt and, on the other hand, the exhibition "Charley Toorop and Edgar Fernhout", two artists from the Bergen School. Both exhibitions were presented first-class. The exhibition rooms in a postmodern style are sure to please. There is a nice cafe with a good menu. Admission for adults (September 2022) €13.50.

Centrally located in the bustling heart of Alkmaar, next to the theatre on one side, and the main church on the other, sharing a building with the library. The Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar provides a nice overview of both the history of the area, and artworks produced by inhabitants of the nearby art colony of Bergen aan Zee.

Nice museum overall, and the Bergense School expo was particularly interesting. Not too big of a museum, which I find quite nice. This helps you focus on what you're seeing instead of focusing on 'seeing it all in one go'.

History of Alkmaar in the basement was closed for redevelopment. Small exhibition about the large stained glass window in the Grote Sint Laurenskerk, a pity that the church is closed more than open, so you cannot admire the real window. Otherwise not too interesting, especially considering the price of €16.00 if you don't have a museum card.

Very nice and interactive museum. You get a good understanding of the situation during the war period with the Spanish empire. How it started and how the people felt during that period.

Comprehensive exhibition of the 'Bergen School' - you won't find it in Bergen itself. Impressive images by Gerrit van Blaaderen, Matthieu Wiegmann, Leo Gestel, Joop Weijand, Paul Cézanne, Dirk Filarski, Charley Toroop and contemporaries. Texts in Dutch and English (as usual), some of which you can listen to German explanations on your cell phone using the museum app. Unfortunately, the introductory film is only in Dutch.

What an amazing museum! Three in one; a permanent exhibition of excellent quality, by painters of the 'Bergense School'. Another permanent but more historically themed exhibition of the victory of Alkmaar city over the Spanish invasion in 1573, a turning point in Dutch history and for me a revelation, somehow explaining the calm Stoic, quietly determined nature of the inhabitants of Noord-Holland. And then a temporary exhibition, nicely curated, with some more interesting paintings. I had a lovely afternoon and will be back! Highly recommended!

A very nice provincial museum with two main subjects/accents: history en the 'Bergse school' style of modern painting, about 1910-1930. An extensive exhibition about the siege of Alkmaar, 1573, with eye witness accounts and many objects from that era, the birth of the Dutch nation.

(Translated by Google) Nice local museum with four parts. One by one temporary exhibitions, a collection of paintings from the Bergsche school. An exhibition with the history of Alkmaar and the golden age. And the last part, in my opinion the most fun, the history of the siege of Alkmaar. Especially the interactive part at the siege of Alkmaar is very nice. There are limitations due to corona. But the signage is good and very positive and creative.

Really interesting museum. Found out a lot about Alkmaar with multi language signage. Lots of rooms to look into on different floors. There is also a display on farming (cattle) which seems out of placed but isn't and is quite thought provoking.

Good overview of the cities interesting history. Exhibition is not too extensive. Good ratio to the cities size. I spent abour 2 hours there. Enough parking areas in the neighborhood at abour 4 Euro's a day. Dead city center with lots of nice restaurants on walking ditance. Visit the Beatles museum that is at about a 15 minutes walk.
