Awesome experience with Gerard, the nicest tour host ever. He was super knowledgeable on all things Amsterdam, being a native himself. We were able to try many local delicacies and he was able to substitute the meat food for vegetarian options for me. Book this tour, you won’t be disappointed!

We had such a wonderful time on our tour with Katya! She was a great guide and we ate a ton of delicious food while learning so much about Amsterdam. Plus, the boat tour was the perfect way to end the afternoon! Would definitely recommend! One of our favorite activities during our trip!

We had a fantastic tour with Aileen, exploring the Jordaan neighborhood in Amsterdam. We took this tour on our 2nd day in Amsterdam and learned a lot about the city and the history of the neighborhood. I enjoyed all of the food samples. We had 3 indoor stops with a chance to sit and have a drink with our food and 3 outdoor stops. This tour was during lunchtime and we definitely got enough to eat. I highly recommend Eating Europe tours—this was our second tour, after going on one in Rome 5 years ago. So far I’ve loved the tours and I look forward to trying more!

I had such a fantastic time on my tour with Gerald! I was lucky enough to get a private tour due to last minute cancellations and what could have been a little awkward, was such a pleasant and personal experience. Gerald is a true Amsterdamer and had so many amazing stories to tell from his experience living in the city all his life and his true love of the city. The value for money was amazing and every stop was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to try all of the Netherlands eating essentials while also getting shown around an under-appreciated and less touristy area of Amsterdam. I want to go on Eating Europe tours all around the continent now!

Very good experience for the complete tour. Food, drinks, walking around the canal, bit of history on Amsterdam and a boat tour. Gerard was really a great guide.

Loved this tour! Bernardo went above and beyond to introduce us to local culinary delights and imparted pearls of Amsterdam history. The only thing I would change was to do it on day 1 of our trip instead of our final day.

We had a fantastic food tour with Bernardo. His stories were wonderful and his knowledge of Dutch food and traditions was really interesting. We had a few vegetarians in our group and he was able to easily accommodate them as well. I highly recommend!!

Best day of the trip! The tour covered everything I was wanting. Local food? Check! Walking tour with fun tidbits of history and culture? Check! Canal tour? Check! Bernardo was amazing - informative, fun and witty, and he even took us to some unplanned stops to see some secret gardens - of course with the history and story behind them.

If you go to Amsterdam, this is the tour to do. This was my second Eating Europe food tour and it was amazing. It was really a pinch me moment when we were floating along the canals eating cheese and drinking wine. Jelte was an amazing guide. He gave us a great amount of info on architecture and other interesting things about Amsterdam. My friends have always refused to do guided tours. I convinced them to do this one and they loved it. We booked the Paris food tour with Eating Europe after going on this tour. Seriously this will be a highlight of your vacation. I will do the tour again when I return to Amsterdam.

Our food tour with Paul was one of the highlights of our trip! It was very special going to places where people who live in Amsterdam frequent. Paul was an excellent and authentically informative leader of our small and enthusiastic group. We enjoyed his skills so much that we met up with him the next day for another walking tour! I highly recommend this experience to first-time travelers to Amsterdam (as we were). And the food was delicious!

This food tour was amazing! Our tour guide brought us around Amsterdam even though it was raining she was a trooper! We tried some delicious food with paring of beer or gin and also provided water along the way at the local vendors. She was able to give us so many details about the culture. It is so worth it if you love food and love to learn about different cultures!

Tolga was a great guide, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this food tour. The knowledge and good humor from our guide was wonderful. Thank you Tolga!

Tolga (sp?) was a wonderful guide as he introduced us to a variety of local foods and restaurants, while giving us the history of the neighborhood and area. Each tasting was unique and excellent. Everyone seemed to agree it was a great way to explore the area and cuisine. We will be recommending this tour to others.

Jacopo was one of the best tour guides I have heard and seen - and I have experienced food tours throughout the U.S and Europe. He was kind, considerate, and obviously has a passion for history and what he does. The tour of Amsterdam was paced (timing and distance wise) very well and the food places chosen were an interesting and also delicious representation of the city. Excellent!

This was our first food tour ever and we really enjoyed it. We tasted delicious foods and weren’t overstuffed at the end. The walking was slow and leisurely, giving us time to enjoy the sights and mingle with others on the tour (about 10 people total) Gerard was entertaining and shared lots of information about the food and history of Amsterdam

We had such a super experience with The Eating Europe Amsterdam. Gerard was a terrific guide in offering history of the city, as well as the food stops. Three hours well spent to see some of the hidden gems in Amsterdam.

As others have mentioned, this is a very well-operated, high-quality food tour that melds authentic (and lekker) Dutch food experiences with illuminating historical and cultural context. Bernardo was a wonderful host and guide, and took the time to speak to anyone and everyone who had additional questions or just wanted to chat. Thanks Bernardo!

Loved our guide, Renee. He not only took us to some special places in the Jordaan neighborhood to try delicious local foods, but he was also a wealth of knowledge about history, which made the tour all the more engaging and interesting. At each stop, everyone was friendly and happy to have us. I would highly recommend an Eating Europe tour.

Great way to find purely local Amsterdam food! Recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay to find places you want to go back to eat. Our tour guide, Aileen, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our group was fantastic and the food and beverages made conversation easy flowing. This tour lasted about 3 hours but had plenty of stops/ rest breaks so it wasn’t tiring. She was also very accommodating to those on our tour with allergies.

Our family really enjoyed our experience with Jelte. It was fabulous. Right amount of food, history, jokes, and culture. We highly recommend. The best part was the boat cruise. It was beautiful and relaxing. Might be cool if they did a tour later in the evening too. Thank you for a great experience!

Amsterdam Oud West is a somewhat less crowded part of Amsterdam which you explore and learn a bit more about. And there are many nice things to eat and drink along the way.

We had a fabulous tour in Amsterdam with our guide DJ! DJ was fun to spend a few hours with, and we learned a lot about Amsterdam, Dutch history and culture and how to navigate the streets of Amsterdam! On top of this, the food was delicious! We never felt rushed and each food stop was a delight. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Amsterdam - do it on your first day and you will be well set to enjoy the rest of your time there. Thanks DJ for a great time!

Wonderful foodie tour of Amsterdam’s Jordaan area! Our tour guide, Aileen, was so informative and the variety of foods we tasted was unexpected. Everything was delicious and we did not realize there would be so much food and drinks. Bring your appetite! You won’t be disappointed.

We did the Food Tour and Canals with Europe and it was great! The food stops were well picked and showcased a wide variety of Dutch foods. Our guide Katya expertly took us down Amsterdam streets, explaining the foods we were eating, and making us laugh all along the way. The canal tour was also wonderful. Captain Hans and Katya kept us entertained and it was a beautiful way to see Amsterdam. Highly recommend the tour and Katya!

Excellent food tour with Gerard! Lots of great food that I would have never tried on my own. Definitely come hungry…and thirsty! Gerard was a great tour guide; he has lived in Amsterdam all his life and was very knowledgeable in all things Amsterdam! Can’t wait to try some of his other recommendations in the city.

Another great eating Europe tour! The canal and eating tour was the best. The food was great, highlighted by fantastic cheeses and stories from a world champion cheese monger. Don’t skip the canal cruise, the boat was so charming, and such a treat. It was also covered in case it rains. And no tour is complete without the guide and Katya was the best. She’s knowledgeable, funny, and provided countless interesting stories. I’d do this tour again next time I’m in Amsterdam, and will do more tours as I travel throughout Europe.

Gerard was a fantastic tour guide. He showed us all the local spots around Jordaan and we were able to try so many delicious Amsterdam foods including apple pie, pickled herring, Indonesian fusion and sausage rolls. My personal favourite was a fried cod which was so fresh and light. Gerard was also a wealth of knowledge about the local history of Amsterdam and shared many personal stories of the area making us feel like true locals. Overall would highly recommend, Gerard is a strapping handsome and welcoming guide :)

Our guide Gerard was incredible!! He was very friendly and personable and we really enjoyed our time with him! The tour was paced very well and we didn’t feel rushed at all. The variety of food was great, and he was very accommodating of allergies. He shared very interesting pieces of history, both related to food and the city in general. The canal cruise was on a beautiful boat with a very friendly driver. After the tour, he gave us wonderful recommendations for food, activities, and shopping! Thank you very much!

👍👍 Really worth your money. I booked this tour via TripAdvisor and the boat and her captain were ready to welcome me aboard. It’s truly the best way to see hidden gems and corners of this beautiful city, right after renting a bike and roaming through the canals. I love this city for its vibrant and spa...
