Bed bugs! Dirty! I'd rather sleep in the street than stay here again, in fact I did. I'd booked two nights. Got there late the first and just slept. Woke up to see the blood and remains of bedbugs and insects squashed on the walls above the beds. There were insects crawling on the floor. I am covered in bites. I was not going to stay a second night. Staff barely seemed to care about anything. That wall must have been like that well before I arrived.

I have been robbed there, although I have no hard evidence but I believe the hostel staff are involved. I had some work to finish, so I was working on my laptop on my bed, then the house keeping guy "suspect" came and asked me to leave the room for an hour, and go to the common area at the end of corridor, I come back after 2 hours to find that 900 usd and 100 euros are missing from my wallet. I reported to the reception and they say to me they are not responsible, and they have nothing to do. They have only camera in reception and no other cameras? Why? Why not having cameras in corridor? I tell them I worked 2 hours and there was very little flow of people, no body else entered the room except your guy, they answer we can not help you, he did not even try to deny my accusation, he did not even say this is not possible or so, I tell him your guy robbed me, and his answer is there is nothing he can do. Another clue that the house keeping guy was responsible for this robbery is that he stole Egyptian money, no other guests in the room were Egyptians, why a person who is not Egyptian take Egyptian money? The house keeping guy was Egyptian and most of the hostel staff are Egyptian as well. I have strong believe the place is run by some kind of gang, they know well the police will not do any thing, and that what happened. Attached is my official report to Milan police, they said they will investigate but likely nothing will happen This is apart from the rudest staff I have ever met in my life, all workers there are like totally rude, dirtiest bathrooms, waiting till the door opens every time if you come after 11, do not know why, but the place is likely a scam on so many levels. If this is your only option in Milan, do not come to Milan.

HORRIBLE! Please don’t stay here. I have never seen such rude staff in my life! These guys deserve JAIL! They will charge you extra when you arrive because they know you can’t get your money back anyway. City tax is 3,40 but they charged me 10,40 instead and when I asked why he raised his voice and said “YOU PAY TEN FOURTY NOW!!!”. The police should close this place. Some beds are broken, you literally wake up on the floor. Avoid at all costs!

Not usually one to complain. But when we first arrived the place just looked dirty and not maintained. When we were told where our room was we had to ask for toilet paper and bath towels because there was nothing in the restrooms. The beds just looked dirty and old, some even had holes in the ones we were sleeping. Later that night we found that our beds were INFESTED with bed bugs! We woke up to multiple bites all around on our bodies. When we brought it to the attention of the staff, they simple just moved us into the next room. Which was just as dirty and infested with bed bugs. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but asked to get refunded for the 2nd night and left immediately. However when we asked for a refund for the second night, we were simply told to send an email. Horrible customer service.

I do not recommend staying here. The staff were incredibly rude.. I’ve never experienced staff like this before. Only two bathrooms for all rooms and only 1 out of two had a working lock on the door. I was taking a shower and a girl just walked in to brush her teeth. The beds were covered in plastic and you don’t get a top sheet or anything. No hand soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms either. The wifi doesn’t work either. The kitchen is apparently open from 8am however when I tried to get my water and food from the fridge (which I specially bought for a day trip) before catching an early train, I couldn’t get into the kitchen because no one had come to unlock it. There were no staff around anywhere so I waited for half an hour and eventually gave up and just left. You also have to wait to be buzzed in to the hostel every time you go out which is very odd. I almost got scammed when the staff failed to give me change for a 50 euro note (after paying the tourist city tax) and I had to chase up and insist for it back. Luckily I felt comfortable in my room as there were only women staying there. But I met two young men who didn’t feel safe. It’s a budget hostel and didn’t cost much but it reflects in what you get for it.

1 star is a lot for this disgusting place.. You’ll make a mistake if you stay in this hostel. It was one of the most disgusting unpleasant experiences while traveling. Once you get in you’ll see how unclean the place is, the receptionist is so unwelcoming. When I got into the room the smell was awful, and upon all that I found ticks in my bed.. I couldn’t take the itching and decided to leave at midnight, so I didn’t stay for that night. I requested a free cancellation, and they told me that they have approved it.. and since then I didn’t receive a refund!’ I can still feel the ticks all over my body.. Absolutely terrible!

Please avoid this place. It might be at a good location for the price but that doesn’t justify how nauseating the place is. The building is literally broken, we had a room in the top floor and we woke up during the night because there was rain dripping to our beds THROUGH THE ROOF. The staff has clearly also stopped caring about the issues the hostel has, because they don’t clean the rooms and their attitude towards travelers tells that they hate to work here. We were lucky to spend only one night here.

Fist off it's an interesting experience don't recommend it, but if you have a low budget you can go there without having a too bad feeling. We're in a 4 bed bedroom with a kind of balcony on the balcony is a stock of gas which smells really bad into the room and on the floors(can't be healthy). The bedsheets are okay can't argue with them but don't look at the mattress or the pillows they have brown stains🤮. Done with the rooms the public room is okay you can sit there it's cooled and the people are nice. But BIG warning take a fork and knife a plate and a cup with you because there is not much there and you wouldn't wanna use it 😵‍💫. Also there is some mold in the kitchen and there is only an old sponge. But overall the people are trying to keep it running. It's enough to sleep and spend the time outside.

I thought that something big would happen with a one-night stay. But my wife and I couldn't sleep for a minute. I caught at least 60 bed bugs like the one pictured above on my bed. The bed bugs bit me all over my body and I took medication and ointment for a week. During the night, a drunken man took off his clothes from the next room and walked around my room. When I asked for help from the night male staff at the accommodation, the staff treated me with very rude words and actions. Even if I told the hostel about my exhausted body and mind, there would be absolutely no compensation. I think the city of Milan should do a fact-finding on this hostel and revoke the permit, and I think we travelers should never go there either.

BED BUGS! And lots of them! I ended up sleeping on the chair in the kitchen because sleeping with a bug army crawling around me was unbearable. When we informed the staff they barely did anything. Only gave us a new bed sheet which obviously did not solve the problem at all. I couldn't sleep because i kept feeling them crawling on my body. And when I turned on a flashlight and saw 4-5 bed bugs on my boyfriend's pillow. One of them was huge. So after that i decided that it is better to sleep somewhere else. So for about two hours i tried to sleep on the chair, after that i decided to sleep on the floor. Of course, the hostel is cheap, however I think that even cheap hostels should not have this many bed bugs. Even though it is only 22 euros, it was money that i paid for the bed. And as for a young person that money means a lot to me. For almost the same price I stayed in Venice in a much better hostel then this. Of course, If bed bugs were included in the hostel description i would not be complaining :D however they were not. I am usually not a picky person, and things such as loud noices, poorly cleaned showers and toilets, ect... do not bother me(I do expect this when going to cheap hostels) however i think that sleeping around bed bugs is a bit too much, even for a cheaper price. On the other hand the staff was friendly, only it seemed thet they do not care much about the bed bugs issue. I loved the vibe of the hostel until finding out about the bed bugs. The kitchen seemed pretty neat, the hostel is in a great location. So if you don not care about the little friends that are going to keep you company while sleeping. It is a nice place. By the way, bring your own toilet paper!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. There are many other better hostels in Milano!! The rooms were very dirty, uncomfortable. We had a reservation to sleep in a 8-bunk mixed room and they put us two girls in a room with 14 other people, all men. The windows were tiny and it was just unhygienic in general.

Two of us visited here together, and our stay was absolutely abysmal. There was no security at all - we were asked to pay extra for a dorm key and anyone could get buzzed in from the street. Disgusting bathroom with no paper, and extra fees at check-in for arbitrary things (e.g. We were made to pay €3.40 each for bedsheets, this only consisted of a bottom sheet and a pillow with pillow case, no duvet or sheet to sleep under at all). We have both developed bedbug bites overnight from our stay here. The plug sockets next to my bed were hanging off the wall with wiring exposed - I was concerned if I rolled over in the night I might get electrocuted! They also wanted a full copy of my card details at check in (which the receptionist took on his phone), despite having prepaid for everything. In a word - horrible.

The hostel is very far from the center. One price was written on the site, when we left they told us the price of the 60e night. We could choose whether we wanted to sleep in separate rooms with strangers or alone. The hygiene of the rooms and bathrooms is very poor. They gave us room number 9 where there is a terrace, and on the terrace the old bed is broken, broken glass everywhere. Service moose, do not understand English. They tried to enter the room while we were still staying, and there was no time to leave the room. We didn't even see breakfast. Run away from this hostel, you will not feel safe in it!

It was so unpleasant stay. Our room was dirty. There was no toilet paper, no pillow cases no help from service. Pillows and blankets were also dirty and so old. And the best, mould everywhere... On the walls, ceiling, fan also in bathroom. Garbage in bathroom, beer bottles, disgusting. I don't recommend this place.

DO NOT GO THERE...I am giving 1 star because there is not an option less than 1. They are kinda scammers , we arrived the hostel at night and paid on arrival 58€ for 2 person and they told us check out is at 11am. They came to door at 10:01 and told that we have to leave, still it was okay maybe the guy gave us wrong info at night when we asked. We have made wrong reservation this is true. We booked for female dormitory but stayed at the mixed one. But when we checked in they did not even mention that we had to pay extra and they said everything is okay. In the morning when we leave another guy asked our passports and he told that he need it for check out, he took our passports then said that we must pay extra 20€ because we slept in wrong room, but we did not asked any extra room, just gave our booking reference number and they gave us the room. But in the morning when He told that must pay otherwise he is not gonna give our passports back, we paid his 20€ after 20min argument, he was believing that he is so smart and we will be agree with his lies. Also we couldn't sleep at night because there was always many people outside and making so much voice ( not other guests, some friends of reception guy) You should be ready to be rubbed if you will decided to stay in this hostel, pay little bit more and stay in better place. I traveled more than 20 countrys and stayed in many hostels but this one was the WORST. DO NOT GO THERE.....

My possessions (4000+ EURO) were stolen from my bed by a robber. Poor security, with no CCTV. There are no safety lockers available; bring your own lock. When I protested to reception, they were dismissive. This appears to be the norm, and only thieves stay in this hostel?? When I forced the hostel men to call the cops and show them the CCTV footage, they kept delaying and not reacting at all. I arrived midnight 2:00 AM, awoke to shower, and discovered a robber (co-stayer) had stolen my property at 11:00 a.m. I requested the hostel for a discount because I'd lost everything here and there is no humanity or courtesy. They are rude/harsh and no respect to guests. In ITALY, there is a high rate of robbery, chain snatching, pickpocketing, and stealing. It now takes place inside the Hostel/Hotel room. I strongly recommend not to stay in such places.

It was the worst experience I have ever had in a hostel. First of al the neighborhood didn't seem safe for a solo female traveler. The room didn't have toilet paper and handsoap and the blanket was full of hair from previous travellers. While I was in the room one guy, possibly the owner, opened the door without knocking. I left after one day and the hostel cancelled my reservation on booking so I couldn't write a review. I don't suggest it t anyone.

The perfect place to catch bed bugs ! They dont clean the room and there is no toilet papers in WC. You can find some surprises in the rooms, in our two nights stay we have found: -Old razors blades in place you don't want to find them -Blood stains in the sheets -Unknown liquid pond on the floor when we arrived at the room. The beds are not very confortables and the sheets have some taints and hair in them. A friend of ours woke up with bed bug bites. Moreover apparently you book beds and no rooms so you are no guaranted to sleep with your comrades : apparently it's printed in small letters in the reservation. So yeah if you want nights to remember, you can go there.

1 euro for this hole is extremely expensive. Not even a rat can survive in this place so dirty it is. As the managers doesn't seems to care, Italian authorities would need to have a look. Sleeping in a square and shower in the canal is better than staying in this place.

It was so bad they should close the place don’t go. There was bugs on the wall and they were coming to the bed. Everywhere was dirty. The man was so weird, he didn’t care about anything. Yes it is cheap but not clean or safe. The rooms or lockers don’t have any locks everybody can go everywhere basically and even there was no internet just awful!!

THEY CHARGED ME TWICE!!! If possible I wouldn’t even give a star! Horrible! The worst of all the hostels I’ve ever stayed. It was incredible dirty, it had bad bugs. And I was even charged before, in my credit card, and the day I arrived they made me pay again. The staff didn’t give me the owners number.

No way be careful get away from this dirty hostel, the employee where no friendly at all, everywhere is smelling bad, I could not sleep at all, and one employee fight to one guest at night, don't waste your money and time.

The worst experience I ever had in my life. Don't ever go here if you value your well-being. The beds had bedbugs!!! Lots of them! My friends developed painfull bubbles all over their legs caused by the bedbugs bites. We stayed here for two nights, and on the second night, when we arrived there were people sleeping in our beds. This hostel doesn't register which beds are ocuppied and which ate not, so when new ghests arrive, they just let them choose a random bed, even if it is ocuppied. They don't change the bed clothing between ghests, as expected since they don't keep track of which guests are sleeping where. They have a room with almost 20 persons crowded in there which in the heat of the summer is insufferable. Never have I ever felt so disgusted from sleeping in a place like in hostel California. The thing I regret the most was not having called the police as this place should absolutely be shut down for good.

It’s a pity that I can not give less than 1 star. Where do I start, the pictures given don’t match the actual building. Worst service. Very inhospitable. Shared toilets with no rolls and they look more like swimming pools. They charge extra money on spot rather than what is promised on the booking plattform. That too in cash and no ATM is around. The rooms are as uncomfortable, dirty and overcrowded as they can get. No lockers available. The whole place is messed up. PS: Somebody hacked my bank account and transferred all the funds to another country after I booked this hotel. Beware people. Save yourself. ‼️🚨🚨

Is the hostel owner dead? you have to clean the whole hostel from start to finish it's so neglected

NEVER GO THERE!!!! Even tho we have read the reviews we wanted to give a chance but it was disappointing. First of all I never been in a hostel that much dirty and smelly. We have checked in the guy in the receptionist said everything is okay any showed us our room. We couldn't sleep because of the smell also because of the noise they made during the night. The receptionist at night told us that check out time is at 11, someone was nocking the door in 10 in the morning to say that it's the check out time. While we were leaving another receptionist stopped us and asked our ID in order to check out. After that he said that there has been a mistake, we had to pay 20 euros more. It appears that we have made a wrong reservation but when we check the receptionist said everything is okay. We calculated together. They did not say anything and before we leave they got our ID and did not give us back until we pay the money. Its kind of threatening. Apart from what happened please DO NOT PAY FOR THIS PLACE, ADD 20 EUROS MORE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Chosen as it was a cheaper price than other hostels, but unfortunately the quality reflected this. + The Egyptian guy at reception was very helpful and friendly + the showers were consistently hot - Beds were uncomfortable, rooms and bathrooms were always dirty - Apart from one exception general staff were not particularly friendly/welcoming - hostel felt unsafe, my toothpaste and towel were stolen. - general lack of care for the hostel and the guest experience

The worst hostel I booked in my life booked 2 nights and its was so dirty the WC is dirty also no toilette paper even , During the night I was bitten by an insect there and I had to go to the hospital in the morning so i said i will not back again for the next night, i ask the hostel to refund me 1 night they refused , i contacted Booking.com client service and they said they can’t refund me . Maby its the cheapest hostel in Milan but is the worst one also . Don’t go there pay more 4 euro and book better hostels in Milan and also plz read reviews so you dont have to go through my experience in this ugly place . It was a night mare I didn’t sleep that night from the people who talk in the reception area and also room has no keys . So be careful about your stuff . Actually I would like to give them zero star not one . Stay safe to all travelers .

IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS HOSTEL --- DO IT --- We've booked a 8 beds room we end up in a 10 beds room. The room is overcrowded and not clean. I've been in many hostels but this one is the worst. However, the location and price are really good, but I don't think it's worth it. There were no towels (all distributed), so be sure to bring your own.

We stayed there for two nights and got scammed right from the beginning. They made us pay 3.40€/day/person for bedsheets. We told them we didn’t want some cause we had some with us however we were told they were already on the beds. Nonetheless, they « surprised » us by putting us in a room for 6 people instead of 8 which was appreciated. The room itself was pretty nice and clean, however, there weren’t enough power outlets for everyone. The bathroom was cleaned in between our two nights there and there was toilet paper, however, the bathroom looks like it would need a very deep clean. The room was also uncomfortably hot. There were two fans, however, the direction of one could not be moved so there was no air going towards our two beds. Nonetheless, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Considering the price we paid, I think it’s understandable that it isn’t anywhere close to a five star hotel.

Absolutely awful experience! The rooms are not cleaned, there are bed bugs, that they "fixed" by putting the mattresses in plastic, the sheets have stained (i believe it was blood) while "clean". We found old reason and stuff in the lockers which where full of dust and other unrecognizable materials. We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't get the key for the room before having to argue with the staff for a long time, and still didn't get them before the next day... The employee have a special suit for the hostel (the ones you use for paint) because they KNOW it's disgusting. Some bunk beds don't have railing for the top one, thy are full metal so you easily scratch yourself on them, the room had ONE ladder for 6 beds, you can feel the spring in the mattresses and in some of them they are so broken that you almost fall through it ... TLDR: don't go there

Worst hostel experience ever, PLEASE AVOID! I stayed there luckily only for one night and couldn’t sleep at all, the room didn’t have heather and it was freezing, they didn’t provide blankets even if we asked many times. The staff is very rude and they pretend they don’t speak enough English to ignore the guests. The only common area is an ugly place with few tables and a dirty fridge where you can store some food but don’t expect a microwave or coffee machine or even decent chairs to sit, at 10pm there’s a very rude guy who yelled everyone that the area was closed and we needed to leave immediately, very scary to be honest. The rooms don’t have a lock or any safety measure and of course the toilets… saying there’s no toilet paper is the bright side :/ I would rather spend the night on a public transport station or even on the streets than coming back to this sh!t hole

The worst choice you can do in Milano. I advice you to add money and take a respectfull place to sleep. There are no toils, réception service is so Bad especially in the night. Hostel not clean.

Dirty place, no towels provided, no toilet roll, bins I bathrooms over flowing. Not even a kettle to boil water. I'm.nkt very fussy with accommodation, but this is below my limits.

I checked in to the hostel in a rainy evening and checked out within an hour. I was okay to go to another place even in the rain. Lack of hygiene, blankets were smelling, there were a couple of blood stains on the sheets probably from bed bugs. needless to say NO TOILET PAPER. Everyone were kind of forgiving the reception and the management even with all the poor facilities.

The place is cheap and shared rooms but not interested in cleanliness

The hostel is pretty run down and dirty and the staff could be more plesent, but it was the cheapest hostel I could find in the city centre.

The guy there at reception was passing racist comments as well as he used curse words in Arabic thinking that I don't know Arabic but for sure I know those words. Also the place is like a chicken farm super hot, humid and crowded. When we complained about this and asked him if we can get the other room he said no even though it was free at that moment and we were only staying for few hours. So we left the place within 1-2 hours of check-in.

Dirty place, unpolite staff and no security lockers. You need to have your own locker if intend to sleep tight or go out without backpack. WiFi functioning and price is the lowest in Milano as I wieved

we made a group reservation and I don't know where I was thinking to accept this place, it is a terrible place, no cleaning, if you go to this place it is certain that you will be contaminated with a disease worse than Covid, service horrible and poorly educated, precarious facilities, with no conditions to live in, this place should be urgently banned

It's a ceap and clean place. There's only one thing you should do, take your ear plugs. You can not sleep with all those snores. It's because there are many steal bunk beds in one room, creaks. If you are sensitive to sound, that noises won't let you sleep.

It's pretty noisy. There is no trash bin in room. One bathroom can't be locked. No toilet paper. There is no wi-fi (doesn't work). Lack of sockets. Good for tourists who travel on budget.

Registration went well, the man at the reception is friendly, the bed linen is clean, the water in the shower is hot and the showers themselves are clean, this is very important for me. The kitchen combined with a bar and a mini cafe-dining room is very original. I was disappointed by the kitchen, namely that it is very dirty and there are no deep plates and things to warm water for tea. The hostel itself is very interesting, but it needs a good host to clean it up.

This place is ok, would not recommend it if you are staying more than one night. The price is good, and that’s the only clear positive. Location is ok, but the walk from the nearest subway station is through quite a rough neighbourhood. If you as many other on this hostel plan to be out partying a Uber ride home is worth the money. There are only small lockers in the rooms. Some of the bunkbeds are missing ladders for the top bunk and if I were to guess the mattresses, although with clean linen, have heritage from the Roman era. It’s manageable, but I would probably not stay here alone.

Horrible stay. Staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. We got back at night to notice they had literally removed our bunk bed from one room into another room without giving us a heads up. And then tried to get us to sleep in someone else's beds when the sheets hadn't been washed. Also put us (two 20 year old females) in a room with multiple middle aged men. No locks on bedroom door and there was an unsettling amount of traffic coming in and out of the room in throughout the night.

The cleanliness is questionable, the room was not even cleaned after the last occupants, we were able to find garbage scattered in the room, the sheets were stained, i saw bedbugs and some were bitten. Don't go! That deplorable place, Do not calculate the dimension by risking spending the night there. All kinds of people arrive and in any condition. There is no respect for who is resting. A single bath, they get to vomit, make the body without caring that others need the place too. Nothing security. Play sleep with at least one eye open. Torn sheets (clean). a night of capsizing

❗This is my first review ever and it is to tell you that you should avoid this place at all cost❗I'm honestly surprised that this place is still operating and the police hasn't shut it down yet. One staff member was constantly yelling at me in a language I didn't understand and then took my food without asking me. The rooms were unbearably hot, the common area was even worse. The "Kitchen" had pretty much no equipment, there were two sets of cutlery for about 40 guests. I was in constant fear that my things would get stolen. Left one day early because I just couldn't bear the place. I hope you don't make the same mistake as I did.
