I have excess claustrophobia. There are other institutions that offer “semi-open MRI. One is 10 min away from my home. I tried to get my MRI there and…. I almost passed out. I almost got a panic attack. So they had to stop the procedure. I had MRI before at Washington Open MRI, so I made the appointment. Even though is far from my area. I will go there any time I need an MRI. Totally worth the drive. Their machines are truly OPEN! The customer service is fantastic and everyone is very kind, and you don’t have to wait. I was admitted in less than 5 min. My procedure was a great experience. I watched TV the whole time. This is the best place to go for your MRI needs. Thanks

As hearing challenged patient doing this for the first time, a handout of what to expect would have been helpful. What can I move? Not move? Scratch an itch? What was the IV process? What sounds can I expect? Can I have a light blanket? Could there be a notice about time left to go? I had no idea what was going on since I could not wear my hearing aids. Also, an offer of water, as well as a seat after would have been nice while I was waiting for the tech to see me out. And, who uses CDs any more? Neither my doctor nor I can use that. Otherwise, it was fine. Receptionist is excellent.

I've tried the regular MRI tube, the open MRI that that still has the machine over top of you, and couldn't do either of those as I am closet claustrophobic, but this stand in MRI was wonderful, NO issues, you can actually watch TV!! HIGHLY recommend for those of us that don't like to feel enclosed.

Top notch experience! The lady that checked me in was so friendly and helpful on answering all of my questions. The lady that did the scan was also very friendly. She put me at ease and it was a wonderful experience. No claustrophobic/panicky feeling as it an open machine. Amazing!

My experience at the Greenbelt location was outstanding!. The staff was friendly and patient. Ms.Doris is very knowledgeable of the MRI process, she makes you feel comfortable and relaxed with the procedure and the MRI machine as well. The MRI machine is very big and intimidating but Ms. Doris just soothes the soul by letting you know everything will be alright. Thank you and GOD BLESS THE GREENBELT, MD OPEN MRI STAFF.

Outstanding staff and care throughout the entire appointment. The technician the front desk were all outstanding. as a matter of fact I’d say, I’ve never had a pleasant MRI experience previously until today!!!

Check in process was smooth. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment but they were able to accommodate me right away. The open MRI was seem less and did not make me feel claustrophobic. Personnel were friendly and polite. Overall great experience and was in/out in under 40 minutes.

A great place to get an MRI. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. The front desk ladies were kind and knowledgeable. The technician truly knew what she was doing. Please give it a try if you're like me and hate MRIs.

I’m super claustrophobic and this place, their equipment and staff, made getting an MRI a relaxing and pleasant experience. They gave me lots of pillows and even had a TV in the room to help distract and make the time go by. The experience was designed to maximize comfort and minimize anxiety. Very grateful and pleased!

I’m claustrophobic in this was a very hard thing for me to do. But the technician was great and a staff member. Jo-Anne held my hand until I felt comfortable. They are just fabulous.

Loved the Owing Mills location. Staff was wonderful. Technicians were excellent. Explained in detail what to what to except. They made sure I was comfortable and put any of my fears to rest. The technicians and staff were excellent. I would highly recommend this location if you need an MRI and are claustrophobic.

This was my first time getting an open MRI. I had to get this done because I needed an upright MRI. I had no idea what to expect. But everyone was so kind and Brian, my technician, walked me through the whole process. He always made sure I felt comfortable. And they were very prompt but also went at my own pace every step of the way. I would highly recommend going to Washington Open MRI, whether you need an open MRI because of not wanting to be in enclosed spaces or because you need an upright MRI. They were very accommodating and even had a meeting with my doctor before my appointment to make sure everything was done exactly as my doctor needed.

Washington Open MRI was the best MRI experience I ever had! I am claustrophobic so sitting in a chair and watching TV while being imaged was a welcomed change. The technician was courteous, friendly and very professional. Of course there was the sound of the machine but it was not as loud as other machines. Also the gowns were easy to wear with literally no ties to figure out. I usually go to Advanced but the only appointment in an open MRI was almost a month away. Because I am in so much pain and anxious for a diagnosis I searched online for another place to go. Based on so many positive reviews I called WAshington and received an appointment in four days. I strongly recommend this business.

I wish I could have given 20 stars!!!!! My appointment was AMAZING!!!! I walked in and was greeted by Dawn who was very pleasant and quite bubbly at 715am. Nadia was Amazing also. I am severely claustrophobic and she was patient and very reassuring. She talked me thru the entire process and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Thanks so much again ☺️ 😊

I was treated with courtesy and respect - I arrived on time and was seen on time as promised. Much less stress than the other MRI tests I have had. I highly recommend them.

I have been coming to Washington Open MRI for a number of years. It is truly pleasant not to experience the "coffin like" feel of a regular MRI. The staff is very pleasant and make you feel at ease from the time you enter the office. I will continue to use this facility. Very happy with this experience, they are very professional, effective, and nice people. Especially grateful for Keena's patience, she is fantastic. She really walked the extra mile to help me, and when you find professionals like her, you must really be thankful for their efforts. I will go again if I need more MRI in the future.

Very friendly staff, very attentive to my needs. The MRI tech took the time to explain the process and how long it was gonna take and kept asking if I was ok during the MR. Very impressive!

Easy to schedule, everyone was professional and pleasant. And the "wide-openness" of the machine is a game changer for those who REALLY don't like the confines of traditional or even horizontal open MRIs.

The staff at the Owings Mills location were exceptional with my 81 year old mother. Kyna,Tracy, and Denise helped me with checking her in and were very patient with my mom and took great care of her.

The staff at Washington MRI were very comfortable. The one gentleman explained everything to a T & most of all made sure I was going to be in the most comfort for the duration of the procedure. I left my jewelry & can only hope they have a protocol of checking lockers. I am so glad they found & retained these valuable items.

The staff and customer service were awesome at the Chevy Chase location! I was completely at ease; the technician was professional and patient-friendly. Joanna, at the front desk, was also warm and customer friendly, from the time I arranged my appointment to welcoming me upon arrival, to the time of my departure. I highly recommend this facility.

I was greeted by Mary when I walked in. She politely handed me paperwork that I had not filled out. Filled paperwork out and Technical person came out and did her job professionally, yet friendly. All right this was my second experience with both a Sweetie’s in both experiences with very well I text yes I would return.

The staff was great. The Radiologist went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. They have always been efficient and well organized. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep doing what you are doing. I love the Greenbelt location

The tech was v good and listened to my concerns and worked with them. I have a bad back and cannot lie down for long time. With her help and guidance I was able to do my MRI without issues. She was excellent .

This was my first open MRI and, by far, the best of my three MRI experience. The office is pleasant and conveniently location. The receptionist and tech were both friendly and put me at ease. However, as a long time claustrophobic, the highlight of the day was the open MRI. The last time I had an MRI, at a different facility that used only the conventional closed tube, I hyperventilated so badly, the tech had to stop the procedure three times. By contrast, today’s exam breezed by without my having a moment of discomfort. If I ever need another MRI, this is where I’ll go to have it.
