I really like how thin and crispy these cookies are. They don't fall apart, and they don't feel oily after touching them. Last year I brought these camping and used them to hold a roasted marshmallow instead of using graham crackers for a s'more. It was amazingggg! It'd be great to give these as a gift for guests visiting from out of town since Otterbein is a Baltimore-based company. These are offered at most Baltimore-area grocery stores near the bakery department if you are wondering where to get them!

So, let me tell you a story. Picture it: Aldiā€™s 2021 and a young lady snags a bright red bag of unheard of cookies off the shelf. Those cookies would change her life forever, mostly because she ate an entire bag in one sitting. These are the best, crispy cookies of all time. Seriously, buy a bag of each flavor and donā€™t look back.

Love the thin Ginger cookies, I have always loved ginger snaps but found them a little to hard to bite through. These are great all the flavor and deliciousness of ginger snaps without having to worry about breaking a tooth. I also love the old fashioned bag they come in.

I have not been a fan of chocolate chip cookies until this week when I had my first one from your company. I sat there and ate six, each and every one pushing me to "just one more". I could become an addict very easily. I must limit and relish a wonderful predetermined limit, knowing there are still some in the bag for another tasty treat.

I used to live in Baltimore, right around the corner from Fort McHenry and the flavor and thin crispy cookies really take me back to the days of my youth. Of course you can't eat just one, they are like Pringles and much harder to put down. I want to share the experience with my friends from other places but I can't part with them once I get my hands on a bag! Now THIS is a real cookie.

Wow. One customer found fault with what she considered burnt cookies and I totally respect her feeling in this regard but I LOVE those kind she hates. Thing is, some of us love the burnt chips, dark pretzels & more well-done cookies. Some like the bubbles in chips. I get it. But knowing how perfect these Otterbein cookies always are, I know they work especially hard on providing whole cookies, timed & baked to perfection. If any cookies are broken I put that on the handlers & delivery people and what happens in transit after the cookies leave the bake site. It takes something serious to elicit a public rant out of me. I am quite a good baker and make an amazing French confection cookie called Dame Blanche, which is made with ground almonds (almond meal) and seedless Raspberry preserves. But I digress! :-) What is amazing about my choosing this time to write a review is that I just got off the phone with Ben to see if it was possible for me to buy the Sugar cookies they'd consider unfit for retail sale & be forced to throw out: the broken, overcooked, slightly burnt ones that wouldn't get past quality control. Hard to do, as these cookies are timed and consistently en-point. Believe me, I have tested hundreds of them. I'LL TAKE THEM & OF COURSE I'LL PAY!! Much like the UTZ factory in PA and their on-site store selling bags of broken pretzel bits. Ben was very, very kind in letting me down easy, saying he understood what I was talking about but I can't buy these delicious cookie rejects. I mused whether I could stick them back in the oven to cook them a little longer & think I need to try it. And no the microwave is not conducive to this plan. Fun Fact - When they sold cookies from Otterbein's headquarters, they DID sell the broken &/or overdone cookie bits out of their Walk-In Retail Shop!!! But they no longer have this set-up. I even look in through the bag windows to select the bags holding those darker in color, informing me they are more well done than the usual light golden ones. I also love the extra thin ones. I told Ben I'm addicted to these sugar cookies. I may be personally responsible for at least a 150 bags over the past year; since my cousin 'turned me on' to them. I don't know why I had never had them before but am SO glad they are in my life now. My hips; not so much! Thanks Otterbein family & staff! Your cookies are amazing!

These are the best cookies ever!! Just the right consistency, crispness texture and freshness! You can't eat just one or two or three. You just might eat the entire bucket!! Perfect gift!

These cookies no longer taste good and addictive as theh used to be. They are no longer made with butter or brown sugar. My family would not waste the calories eating them. Way to expensive to waste. Please bring back the flavor. Until then I will not buy again.

I always wanted to buy but they are expensive. But l finally did and was very disappointed. They have an after taste and taste nothing like sugar cookies. And they use margarine. However they are very thin and crispy. But l won't buy again unless they go back to their original recipe that people seem to love. Obviously something changed.

Always loved them until recently. Splurged for the 15oz bucket of sugar cookies. All of them were burnt. Contacted the company and never heard back. It won't stop me from buying them again but their customer service is terrible. Also, How can a complete bucket of burnt cookies get past quality control?

Was at the hospitality expo in Ocean City. Picked up a bag of these at the show. Let me tell you.. . Your booth at the show is worth every cent it costs you to have it there. These are the best of the best! Amazing...thin....crispy.... delicious! You've gained a lifetime customer! Probably hundreds of new customers! "Where have you been all my life"šŸ™‚

Otterbeinā€™s ran a promotion the other day for free shipping for the first 20 orders placed. As fate would have it, I did not make the cut. As far Iā€™m concerned, this was a come on. Twenty (20) - are they kidding ??? Iā€™ll buy Tateā€™s from not on.

Have had several bags over time of chocolate chip. Seem overbaked and only about 7 choc chips in each cookie. All in the very middle. Same every time. Won't be purchasing anymore. I do like the sugar cookies.

My in laws are from Maryland, right outside of Baltimore and for the last 13 years Iā€™ve been with my husband, weā€™ve enjoyed Otterbeinā€™s cookies at Christmas. My mother in law purchases them by the case at the Baltimore location every single year. Our favorite flavors are the sugar cookies and the chocolate chips. However, this year has been a disappointment. Unfortunately the company must have changed hands and the cookies took the hit. The packaging is different - there are now plastic ā€œsleevesā€ inside. You only get 2 with approx. 5-6 cookies. Prior to this the entire bag would be filled with cookies! The flavor is also not the same. Iā€™m not sure if they changed ingredients, recipe, etc. but they taste different. My 35 year old husband who has grew up eating these cookies is so disappointed! This will probably be the last year our family purchases Otterbein cookies.
