This hotel is very understaffed and it shows. They are also doing renovations and that shows too. The qualities of the room and the money that we paid for the room were not equivalent. The rooms were very very tiny the bathroom was smaller than a closet. There was not a homeliness to the room as there were no pictures on the wall; it was just a bed inside of a room. My air conditioning unit did not work and when it did work it would cut on for 5 minutes or so and turn back off so the temperature kept fluctuating in the room. The staff were very disorganized and disheveled. Anytime a question was asked of them they did not know and replied back with a snarky remark. One of the staff members we were working with (We were there for a wedding and this particular staff member had been working with the bride for setting up her event) was nowhere to be found when there was confusion with the room set up. When we arrived the next morning to set up for the wedding the event from the night before had not been cleaned up. The floor was dirty. Several staff members had called out and then we kept being told that it was a liability for us to try to help with the setup for the wedding. We then had the wedding and the service members ran out of batter for the waffles and the whipped cream was curdled. A guest of the wedding had to inform the staff member that the whipped cream was curdled. Staff members were making comments like"We didn't know we were going to have to serve this many people"... Which is extremely rude and unprofessional as well as embarrassing. I would never have another event at a DoubleTree by Hilton I would also probably never stay at a double tree.

This place is pretty dated, they didn't even have real comforters on the bed. Our fridge didn't work and they told us there was food-room service but there actually wasn't. I just expected a bit better from a Hilton. I got a bug bite on my back too. I wouldn't go here again.

The smoke smells are still present in the halls and rooms, especially when the fans come on for heat/cooling. Rooms are not soundproof, so expect to be disturbed by the neighboring rooms' TV or guests talking loudly on their phones. This is especially true if your room shares a door with an adjoining room. Also, it does take about 5 minutes to get hot water to start coming through the taps (shower as well as sink). Finally, most of the staff (this includes room preparers/maids) do not wear masks, so protect yourself by wearing your own masks and bring your own wipes to clean surfaces.

My experience here has been unmatched. My exceptional review is to compliment the friendly, professional, team oriented staff. I am in between homes, and professional careers, and was in need of a place to stay. Since my arrival last Sunday, June, !8, 2023, I have felt welcomed by friendly, understanding, judgement free staff. Telly, Vonetta, Tra, and Romaine, have been absolutely wonderful! Jae, the front office manager commands top notch hospitality, while running a tight ship. She gets things done with expediency and the utmost professionalism. I was fortunate to be connected with the Assistant General Manager of the hotel, Heaven, who was able to work with me to make my stay more economical, and less temporary. She explained a monthly lease agreement that made sense as well as eliminated my feelings of urgency to relocate. The staff have made me feel at home, and have been happy to address and meet all of my residential needs. I have traveled extensively, and stayed at countless hotels. I can honestly say that this experience has been life changing, as it has provided a positive environment with exemplary service, enabling me time to reset and figure out what's next for me. With Heaven at the helm, these ladies are running a 5 star show here! !

My 1st room was not cleaned. There were holes in the wall above the bed. Brown stains on the ceiling and bottom of curtains dirty. Room smelled musty. A/C filter was filthy and had not been changed for a while. I was transferred to another room which was better but the motor to the a/c was loud so it was hard to sleep and I could hear people talking in the hallway. Internet service was bad and sporadic. Food was not good. Ordered Maryland crab soup and it was sour. I ended up leaving the hotel to walk down the street to get food at McDonald’s rather then to spend another dime of my money for poor services!! I checked out a day early due to the conditions of this hotel!! I will never recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Attended a banquet. Rear parking was reserved for our event which made a big difference. The banquet hall was large and the sound in the room was good. The dinner was tasty but not substantial. The venue should offer more table decoration and centerpieces. Overall great experience and not hard to find from the road.

Upon checking in last night, Vonetta Moon, the representative of the desk, was professional, courteous, and welcoming. Parking lot was well lit. The hotel is spotless as well as the room. I am here for four days for business. Highly recommend double tree for anyone traveling for anyone traveling.

Location: 5/5 I was in town to visit family in Pikesville so this hotel is pretty much as good as you'll get for location. Food: 2/5 There's a little pantry of foods and beverages you can buy at the front desk. It's overpriced but it's to be expected from a hotel pantry. There's a pricy hotel restaurant that didn't seem impressive but I didn't eat here so idk maybe the food is good. They gave us some cookies at check in. The waterbottles in the room cost money even for hilton members. They did have some coffee pods that were complimentary. Service: 4/5 The women at the front desk were very pleasant and professional. The maintenance guy was also friendly and helpful. All of the housekeeping staff were respectful and worked around our schedule. Romaine at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. Room: 2/5 The first room we were in the pillows had a hole somewhere causing feathers to go everywhere. We asked if they had non feather pillows and they did not. Our TV was not properly working only some channels worked and they said theres nothing they can do and gave me a number for a help desk. The stopper in the bathroom sink was broken. The ac was not working properly, we notified them on day 2 and they said they'd send someone but on day 3 it was really hot in the room. A maintenance guy came up and asked if we'd want to switch rooms. We agreed and he brought us a cart for our stuff. The new room didn't have any of the problems of the previous room until day 4 when the ac stopped working. A very friendly maintenance guy came in and fixed it. On the pro side the beds were comfy and the rooms were relatively clean and and good shape. The shower pressure is great and it was quiet, we couldnt hear outside noise. Amenities: There is a small business center with computers and some nice seating in the lobby. The pool has been closed since 2021 due to covid so it was a letdown that there wasn't a pool. They did not let us know that the pool was unavailable at booking or check in. We only realized once we got there and saw it was closed.

The hotel was apparently understaffed . And it showed by the cleanliness of the room. The linen was dirty. I found empty bottles left from the prior guest.. I always sanitize my own room, And as I began to wipe down furniture and main touch point like the phone door knobs remotes, light switches . Pick up so much dirt and grime . The room attendants have to take short cuts in order to do so many rooms in one day . I had to go out and buy my own sheets and mattress protector. I cover the pillows with garbage bags and then put a case over it . I thought this hotel would have had some Hilton standard . I will never stay at this hotel again. They claim to be newly renovated . I say to everyone BEWARE

It's being remodeled but we didn't get a new room, hopefully it will be better soon. The room had a weird smell, the mini fridge was warm so we didn't use it, next day it leaked so we asked to change rooms, new room smelled weird as well but the mini fridge wasn't broken. It was clean enough but for a Hilton location was a little low on the bar. The staff we spoke to was excellent though, polite and helpful. They were great đź‘Ť

They are in the middle of a renovation but still manage to keep it in good shape. Front desk needs to give the cookies to guests whenever they want not just on checkin because we are paying for rooms and cookies are not that big of a deal but mean alot to us. So just give us the cookies!!!

Location is convenient to beltway and direct line to downtown. The rooms are spacious and clean. Toiletries are good quality. Brenda and breakfast are a pleasant start to the day. Tia Reid gave an informative and pleasant welcome. All front desk staff were pleasant and appreciative.

The staff was extremely helpful. Somehow the reservations were made incorrectly and then in comes Jae, the office manager, comes to the rescue. Some how she was able to find us a room after traveling in the rain and it was after 11pm so there was no way we would've found a place to stay. Nick inputted our information into the system and Tia gave us warm chocolate cookies. My family thoroughly appreciated the hospitality and I thought we were about to be in the car but the staff not only came through, they showed up and out. Thank you sooo much for all that you did for us.

Excellent service and staff. Most particularly was the front desk attendant Tia. She was very personable and went out of her to make me feel welcome during all aspects of my stay. Professional and very competent in her position, Tia should be groomed for positions of higher responsibility.

The girls at the front desk were awesome. The hotel was fine for a quick stay. The pool was closed while we were there but looked like it would be a nice spot to relax once it’s open again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the DoubleTree in Pikesville while attending a family reunion. The office staff are outstanding. Jae gave us a warm greeting, answered all of our questions, and even recommended the fabulous crab vegetable soup in the hotel restaurant. In the restaurant, Ms. Brenda was an angel responding to all of our requests. There was another young woman working the front desk (I didn’t catch her name), that made our family staying at the hotel feel so welcome and gave special attention and honor to our oldest family member (92 years old). You can’t beat the hospitality and service. The rooms/facilities are due for an update, but they’re working on that. Renovations to come soon.

Tia, our receptionist was very friendly, warm, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Her smile was a pleasure after having a problem with Howard Johnson hotel minutes before we arrived. From now on thanks to Tia hospitality I will be use Double Tree in the future. Thank you Tia for making my stay pleasant.

I always stay here when I come to town. The service is exceptional (thank you Romaine), the rooms are elegant and clean. Lobby is charming. I also like that the parking lot is well lit at night and that the front doors of the lobby lock at a certain time of the night.

I had a really great stay. The room was very clean and I witnessed the sanitation process by peeping into another room being cleaned. Cleanliness and safety are of top priority at Hilton hotels and I love it. I loved having a refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker in the room, super convenient. If you are noise sensitive I would recommend getting a room facing away from the 695 expressway. The hotel sits almost directly on the beltway. My only recommendation would be to update and replace the mattresses, the bed was a bit lumpy and uneven and didn’t make for a good nights sleep. Staff were courteous and accommodating. Romaine was super helpful at the front desk and was a wealth of information about the Hilton rewards process and even went to get me a cup of coffee when the coffee ran out. Above and beyond helpful. I look forward to staying again.

First and foremost, the front desk staff is AWESOME and is absolutely the best part of this hotel stay!!! Jae went above and beyond to rectify a room-related issue as we were checking out (Thanks Jae!), and Tia and Angel also clearly care about their customers' satisfaction. The hotel is undergoing much-needed renovations, so word to the wise: check out your room before you unpack to ensure everything is in working order. Despite the renovations, it is quiet and the rooms are clean & spacious with good amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, good shower & towels). The on-site restaurant has great service (Thanks Bobby!), good crab dishes, and the best coleslaw ever! And you can't beat the location right off of the beltway. Once they complete the renovations, it will probably be 5 Star. In the meantime, I hope Management recognizes the heroic job the staff is doing to ensure customer experiences outweigh the facility challenges!

This was my second stay within the month of November on business and each time I was greeted with a smile! The rooms were very clean and cozy. Thank you Tia for your great hospitality! Audrey

Tia and Angel were the first faces we saw walking in. Huge smiles, friendly, helpful and just amazing overall(and don’t forget about the warm cookies!!!!). I’d have to put them in top 5 minimum as reception of any hotel ever. Rooms were clean, staff was awesome, and even with a full remodel going on on second floor, the place was quiet and clean.

A friend of mine was here from out of town and stayed here, I visited him at the hotel and was very impressed. Rooms were newly renovated decorated and very clean. Hotel had awesome security, most of non lobby doors were locked and it felt safe being there. When I interacted with the front desk to get ahold of my friends staying there the clerk was very nice very helpful and I was happy with the service I received. My friend said that he was enjoying staying at that hotel and he was very happy with everything he just wished it was a little bit warmer so he could go swimming. Parking lot was clean easy access.

Our stay at this property was great! The room was clean and comfortable, and the customer service was impeccable. Tia helped us with check-in, and she was very friendly and polite and gave us all the information we needed for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast in the restaurant was also great. Our server Bobby was very attentive, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our visit!

I was greeted by a wonderful representative at this particular Hilton her name is Tia. She was warm, inviting and very professional, and met all my needs The hotel was excellent the rooms clean and spacious. I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing I wish that breakfast and afternoon cocktail and appetizers included in my rate otherwise, everything was excellent.!!! I would definitely stay here again, because Tia, how welcoming professional Ways!

I was so happy with my experience when I stayed here for a business trip. Both Tia and Angel were absolutely incredible to me. They really deserve a promotion with their kindness, thank you so much to the hotel.

  • 3/5 Jacqueline C. 4 months ago on Google
The check-in with Tia was great. She is very personable and energized. I was however disappointed. There was no warm cookie upon checkin. The toilet was not stable and when showering the bathtub filled with water. Next there was a distinctive smell of marijuana floating in the hall and in my room. Also, a group of very young people were in the hallway. This is not the Hilton that I am used to.

  • 4/5 Chauntee R. 4 months ago on Google
Had a very pleasant stay. Check-in was great!! Tia (as mentioned in so many other reviews) has impeccable customer service… which definitely influenced me to leave a review. She went above and beyond for a customer whose first language was not English by using Google translate. She also helped me with changing my room when I requested. The hotel is still under renovation, so still feels a little outdated but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The hospitality here is awesome. Jae is extremely knowledgeable and courteous. She assisted us with a smile & the proper procedures for military discounts. I am glad to have someone like her to hold others accountable for the proper way of doing things & having the flexibility to adjust & explain everything. I really appreciate her efforts. A true professional.

Hotel is contemporary in terms of amenities, however, the facility is currently being renovated. Found amenities (gym and restaurant) to be adequate. The room I stayed in was spacious and well furnished. Staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. Location is okay.

  • 4/5 Rudolf H. 10 months ago on Google
Smooth, friendly and efficient check in. Shanelle was refreshingly kind after a complex travel day The room was clean and recently renovated. Great bed. Housekeeping by request went well. Our only complaint was noise. Compared to other hotels at this price point the road noise was worse than usual, and there was intermittent nighttime hallway noise easily heard through the door. When we return we'll try getting a room on the south side of the hotel, away from the interstate.

This trip was excellent because of the Front office staff Natasha and Heaven. My stay had some unfortunate twists and turns. I came for a work conference and had heard wonderful things about Double Tree from other Family members and Friends. Things that were lacking in the beginning were made up for in those AMAZING staff members. The conference rooms and food provided was also exceptional. So if you ever get the chance to stay at this Double tree it will be made the best experience. Advice to follow in the future- don’t be afraid to ask!

Stayed here in the summer. Room was nice. Food was good. I just wished they had more amenities as their pool was closed and the tennis costed a fortune. Also had my brothers bar mitzvah party here and it was a very nice party.

We are stay one week for business. The staff was very cordial and nice to us. The installations and rooms are great as well. The hotel restaurant was fun.... But some of the customers were very obnoxious, not respecting that is a public restaurant and unfortunately, we did have to deal with it. The waitress was great, but they were loud, drinking and playing all kinds of weird music, making our experience for dinner very uncomfortable. Besides that, we enjoy the food and the service!

For my stay I booked two rooms. One for me and one for my parents. BOTH rooms were nasty. There were revolting green stains over the sheets in the room I stayed in and disgusting brown stains on the sheets where my parents stayed. The comforter in my room also had holes in them and grey stains on the pillows. The front desk clerk that night was polite and noted it down for the manager to review in the morning. She moved us both to new rooms. Unfortunately, because the king rooms were completely booked this night, my parents had to DOWNGRADE to queen beds. The sink in my new room would get clogged severely even with the drain open. I did that complain anymore that night because the front desk associate had already let me know that they were fully booked and it was so late I just wanted to go to bed. The next morning when checking out, I mention the circumstances of our original rooms and what the agent the night before said about speaking to a house keeping manager for compensation. This lady was absolutely rude and very uninterested. She did not even take time to look at my pictures that were emailed to the front desk the night before and when I tried to show her in person. She also did not let me speak with the house keeping manager. She claims that there isn’t much she could do for me because they moved my room. I did not have a choice! Was I suppose to lay in a bed ridden with mysterious stains? They could’ve been someone else’s body fluids. Plus, one room was downgraded because of the full capacity. It is no excuse for how nasty the condition of BOTH rooms were. If I saw the stains then housekeeping should’ve too. She completely had no regards for the cleanliness of these rooms and that speaks to the management of the hotel. These circumstances weren’t just an inconvenience to my family, but also puts our health at risk. We have no clue what kinds of dangerous bacteria were in there all over these rooms. If you yourself would not stay in a room like this than it should not have been a standard that is expected to be accepted by your customers. I am highly disappointed because what I was asking from the front desk agent was completely reasonable. Would not recommend this hotel!!!

I booked a room for two night on the Hilton app. When I we arrived the person at front desk said there were no more rooms left except for one in a construction area on the first floor. We took it but once entering the room it was 85 degrees with no working AC. It was also obviously a room soon to be renovated with no carpet on the floor, dingy walls and a back door to the room that had tape holding it closed. We decided against staying in that dungeon of a room so went back to front desk to see what our options were. The same person at the front desk then told us that she couldn’t help us and that we were out of luck even though we had booked and paid for a room. Worst experience ever after a long day and wanting nothing more than to rest. We had to pack up and find a new hotel. Romaine “like the lettuce” was the customer service person at the desk. I would give her zero stars if allowed.

The staff were great. The hotel needs a facelift. The rugs look dirty and old. The pool has been closed for two years. The restaurant looks old and non inviting. The rooms are spacious but the sheets and pillows are not the best. Overall it just needs a facelift.

  • 4/5 Faith G. 1 year ago on Google
The room was nice and clean. I bring cleaning supplies to make sure tubs are clean to give my kiddo a bath, and the tub was pretty clean, a few stray hairs but it was obviously wiped down so that was a plus. The mini fridge was warm, and then it leaked during the night so our floor was wet and it unfortunately seeped into one of our bags. Other than that it was a decent stay.

I cannot believe this hotel is listed as a Hilton Honors hotel. This place is like a Motel 2.0. The room I stayed in on the "Hilton Honors" floor was absolutely disgusting. The floors had clearly not been cleaned for a LONG time. There was old food all over the floor, which also included Ants. So many F%^&ing ants. Unfortunately, I was so tired when I arrived, I did not notice until I woke up from a quick nap to the sensation of being bit all over my legs. Not to mention there was another guests dirty laundry rolled up into the curtains, the ODOR - blatantly obvious, and vomit stains on the boxspring fabric, you know the kind where a guest couldn't hold their booze and woke up and yacked over the side of the bed? So cleaning is definitely not a priority at this hotel, and if it is to the hotel, it certainly isn't by the folks paid to clean it. The renovation team seems to also be on par budget wise with the cleaning staff...wallpaper directly over clearly damaged drywall, a closet shelf missing most of the support screws. The restaurant...dark (half of the room's lights were turned off with staff sitting in the dark on their phones...), depleted and sad. They are almost insisting that you order in. It sucks honestly, because I thought the staff was extremely friendly, but I was there for a work trip, and all of us checked out after the first night. I would have given better stars for the Staff, but when you send texts to a guest asking how a room is, and that guest sends 3 texts explaining how awful the room is - you would think they would rectify as quick as possible. So two stars, as Hospitality is also not a priority at this hotel.

Chose this hotel as it was fairly close to an EV quick charging station. Not a lot of bathroom counter space, over all very average hotel. No complimentary breakfast but there was the worst free coffee I have ever drank in the lobby.

If you are looking to host an event at the DoubleTree, I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere. While the property is nice, the bartender is fabulous, the management could do much better. We attended an event this weekend and the power went out. The food was sitting in stations (not lit), flashlights weren't provided, it took an hour of sitting in a dark room before they started opening up the room to the outside so we could get some air and some light. (there were no emergency lights in this room. The room that had emergency lights had a partition that could have been fully opened, but wasn't) There was much to be desired. We understand things happen, but the lack of support by the management team and events team was extremely disappointing.

As a customer service professional I believe in giving compliments for a job well done. Jae and Tia are exceptional! I called prior to my arrival because hubby and I were running late. I could hear in the background they were very busy. However, that didn’t stop them from answering all my questions quick and politely! When we arrived we were greeted with a big smile! A fast check in and a snack! I will stay here every time I’m in town. I recommend it.

This place was so disorganized before even checking in. I asked for help in picking a room, got none (not a huge deal) but even in person, no one knew anything to answer my questions. The space is large but awkward and so run down. There are weird stains all over the hallway carpets. My room floor was so dirty, hard floor, covered with crumbs. Gunk was coating the baseboards. There is zero outdoor seating, a sad half-defunct restaurant and bar that’s rarely open, and nothing else. Service at the restaurant/bar was awful, woman working couldn’t have wanted to refill our beers any less. The hotel catering staff does not plan for dietary restrictions even when requested in advance, nor do they appear to put the effort into understanding them. DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING HERE, or really, even come here. It’s so sad. I can’t wait to see the generic response I get from the hotel robot below this. Attached is a picture of the “beautiful” outdoor area that’s closed.

I've been dealing with kitchen plumbing issues in my apartment all week. By them not being able to fix the issue in a timely manner, I requested to have other living accommodations. They booked my stay here at Double Tree. By me having to work, deal with the plumbers for 4+ hours and still pack my things up, I wasn’t able to check into the hotel until 10:15pm. Upon walking in, I was cheerfully greeted by Tra. She asked for my name and when I told her who I was she replied, "I've been waiting on you." You has no clue how much that meant to me. This week has been so hectic since I've been taken out of my normal routine. I am physically and mentally tired. She asked me “how has your day been going?” I just smiled and let out a big sigh. She said, “I understand” and went to hand me a warm chocolate chip and walnut cookie. It was so delicious! As she was programming my key, a gentleman walked in and stood in line behind me. She greeted him with the same amount of cheerfulness as she did me! She went to hand me my room key and explained to me how to get there. As she started to speak, I could see her eyes look behind me then back at me, all with a smile. She said, “the first number is the floor your room will be on and you’ll be able to connect to the wifi by putting your last name…” etc. Although she had a mask on, I could see her smile right through it. I am so happy that she spoke at a tone that only I could hear. Safety is so important to me, so this small gesture was big!!! My room was cozy and spotless. I can finally get a good night’s rest. Thank you so much for your warming and amazing hospitality, Tra! You’re amazing!!!!

Worst service I’ve ever had. My whole family stayed in this hotel and everyone had a different issue. Housekeeping is always late and at the worst time, no accommodations for babies, and when something is broken, they just laugh in your face. Rooms are nothing great and the pool is not even functional. Find a different hotel even if you need to be here for work or any other reason. It’s worth paying for an Uber and not stay here.

Room was giving motel. Very cold and uninviting. Old furniture. Huge gap under the door. Had to put a towel under bc I was concerned of sound and critters possibly coming from hallway. No rug on laminate floor. It made me itch in bed. Not sure if it’s sheets, dust mites, or just the overall feeling I had in the room. Old nasty I’ve machine. Ppl were nice but check in/check out was unnecessarily slow. Fridge was broken but was replaced within the hour of my call. I usually like the double tree but couldn’t cancel. Don’t pay over $80 you can find somewhere nicer at the $100/night price point.

I had a pleasant experience while staying here briefly for work. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, especially Jae at the front desk. I personally witnessed them even providing tech support to some guests who were having laptop troubles. This team truly goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

I was there for a Date Night. It was set up by A Vision from Shaye Event Planning. She turned that Room and Parlor Suite into a Wonderful Beautiful experience. The staff were Accommodating, and Parking was great. Renovations that they are currently doing will only make it better. Warm cookies 🍪 up front. Also the event Halls are good and spacious for any intimate event you may be thinking of.

The experience here was just okay. This is an older hotel, and it's in need of more updates. The room was clean (but the room flooring is laminate). However, the lobby had a very odd smell. No breakfast or complimentary items are offered (not even water for Hilton members) Its close to the highway, food and shopping. Check in was just okay because the lobby attendant seemed to be on the phone the entire time.

The hotel is important a nice and convenient location, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the service - especially by Telly, who was extremely pleasant, friendly and eager to help make our stay the most enjoyable possible - was excellent! I look forward to coming back!
