The place looks very inviting from the outside. Inside, there's all sorts of herbs, teas, books that can have you browsing for quite some time. I ordered 2 items, the mushroom sandwich and the street tacos The presentation was great, packaging was nice and kept all the juices/items intact. For my taste, the fried mushroom had way too much breading. I could barely see or taste the mushrooms. And for my taste, to salty. I would love if they offered another version. . . healthier, without all the breading. Otherwise, the sandwich and the spread was very fresh and tasty. The street tacos were super Yum, but again slightly too salty for me. I really want to love this place. I'll try one more time.

The people are amazing and the food is absolutely amazing! The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming. All of the lattes, teas and concoctions are wonderful! They have a full service apothecary with tinctures, advice and ideal offerings. Highly recommend this place!

I'm not vegan but went with my vegan daughter yesterday and was very impressed with the unique selection of options. We ordered the shrimp po boy, the chic and fungi (pictured), and the shrimp tacos. Their specialty drinks are also delicious and beautiful. (The hibiscus tea is pictured) The shrimp in the Po boy really tasted like shrimp as did the fried mushrooms in the chic fungi taste like fried chicken! The tacos were also delicious with a mouth tantalizing blend of flavors. Will definitely go back!

For some reason I wasn't expecting much coming to a vegan spot but I was extremely pleased by what greeted me. The atmosphere is so down to earth. They focus on providing holistic, natural, whole body health and fortitude which definitely aligns with my ideals. And the food and drinks were bomb. The teas are so good and actually did what I wanted it to, and the tacos were absolutely delicious. Definitely will come back to check out their selection of herbs and wellness items.

Awesome experience really beautiful atmosphere great friendly knowledgeable staff. I am not Vegan but saw this place on the news and knew I wanted to visit and support them. I am so glad I did. I had the loaded Nachos with shrimp it was delicious. I got the Hibiscus tea that was adorned with fresh flowers every glass. It was wonderful. I purchased some loose tea and salve for sleep from the Apothecary. I had a wonderful time and I will be going back. Trying to clean up my diet and this is the perfect place to help.

I know I’m in for a vegan treat at Hue! Customer service is top tier and the food is great! This was my first time trying the breakfast burrito and it did NOT disappoint. At about $13 apiece it was well worth the price. For starters - it’s huge!! But it has to be to hold all of the delicious fillings inside - just egg, mushrooms, beans, peppers, potatoes, and yummy sauces. I washed it all down with happy heart tea. I like that they give you the option of having it hot or iced. I opted for warm and it was quite soothing. Not my first time and most certainly won’t be my last.

This place is a nice Vegan spot. They also say it's flexatarian because they have some meat entrees. I love this spot. Not only do they have great vegetarian meals but you can also buy herbs here as well. They have holistic classes they teach on Sunday's. It's a great vibe. I had the Hue Wings which are fried cauliflower pieces with lemon pepper seasoning. OMG they were the bomb 💣

The place and people inside are great they asked was it my first time and I said yes... they are there to help from the website, so I already knew what I wanted to try. Their version of a chicken sandwich did not disappoint, or was extra crispy and delicious, but Fries were everything. The daughter's girl tried the cheese steak, which was ok, only it had a strong aftertaste. We ordered and sat down at a table, then was greeted with a tray of samples. When I say Damn those samples were amazing, the greens geez, the mac and cheese both too die for. Will go again. Go give them a try, you will like them vegan or not.

Hue has definitely become a staple in my Owings Mills neighborhood. Wasn't sure what I was feeling but wanted something different. I ordered the cauliflower wings and the collard greens. FLAVORFUL IS AN UNDERSTATMENT. The smoky flavor from the greens is so inviting, they are cooked to absolute perfection. A hint of vinegar, sweetness, spice and smoke flavor - NEVER EVER TAKE THIS ITEM OFF THE MENU!! Now on to the wings OMGOODNESS - the crunchiness, the flavor (I opted for lemon-pepper-honey) SOOOOOOOO DELICIOUS. I COULD BARELY PUT THEM DOWN TO WRITE THIS REVIEW LOL. Also the cashier was very pleasant, restaurant is ALWAYS CLEAN & inviting. Thank you HUE for another GREAT EXPERIENCE!!

The Hue Cafe and Apothecary occupies the space where the Flying Avocado restaurant used to be. The venue is clean and neat. The employees are friendly and efficient. The menu is varied with many vegetarian options, ,but with meat, too. There's plenty of free parking in the parking lot right outside the front door. My wife had Avocado Toast which she enjoyed. She gave me a taste. It was amazingly outstanding. I had a shrimp po' boy which was delicious. There were five jumbo fried shrimp on the po' boy. I couldn't even fold the sub roll until I took two of the shrimp out and ate them separately. The po' boy also had lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and remoulade sauce. The Hue Café and Apothecary is an excellent restaurant. I recommend it.

I have not made it to the restaurant. I had the pleasure of trying the wings and lemonade at the food truck during an event the Mayor gave for back to school. I have never touch Vegan anything. My fiance and I & my 7 and 6 year olds loved it all. I met some of the owners family members, they were so cool and down to earth! They have a new customer!!!

I visited this cafe yesterday and had the lavender and peppermint tea, exotic mushroom pasta and black garlic mac and cheese. 1. Atmosphere: The design of the shop is beautiful! I love the decoration and presentation of the menu. *It also looked very clean! The restaurant is very spacious and it is in a corner so outdoor seating is available! 2. Food: The food was okay. I enjoyed the pasta and loved the drink (and the option that you can get it hot/cold and sweet/unsweet. My only gripe about the pasta is that I felt it was too oily but it was well seasoned, savory and salty. Unfortunately, I did not like the mac n cheese. I loved how creamy it was and how it felt similar to the real thing but the vegan cheese that was used wasn’t my favorite but don’t let that stop you from trying it! 3. Customer Service: 10/10 - everyone was super welcoming, pleasant and helpful! 4. Eco friendly Products: The restaurant is aware of eco friendly practices and provides customers with a biodegradable takeaway bag, compostable (I believe) hot beverage cups and plastic tupperware that can be washed and reused. These things are nice and I hope that one day they can compostable silverware and a bigger r recycling receptacle (the one in the store had a small opening that was not big enough for plastic food containers). Overall, it’s a nice cafe for a lunch break!

This was my first time eating a Vegan Cheesesteak sub but I must say it was absolutely delicious. The banana pudding was out of this world. Thank you Hue Cafe & Apothecary for a great experience.

I had these absolutely delicious "steak" nachos about a week ago... And I have been dying to go back ever since! Even my kids that typically eat meat loved this place. I am excited to go back and try more items from the menu. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious- what more could you want?

Literally drenched in dressing after requesting to put on the side. My greens were weeping in dressing making them soggy and the dressing was very very salty. This is why i requested it on the side. I asked to Remover the onions and chick peas for more sweet potatoes and I got maybe like 9 tiny dieces.

Today Sept 15, 2022 I ordered the Mezzo Yam, A la carte Fungi and the Anti-inflammatory Tea ( Sweet and Iced). The Mezzo Yam was beautiful to look at and taste fresh and light...it's a must try! The fried fungi was too salty to enjoy. The batter flavor is too much for the fungi. The Anti-inflammatory tea taste really good. I love the clove and ginger taste at the end.

Was in Pikesville at the groceries and a bit if hunger hit me. Quick Google search for vegan restaurants turned up this little gem. Headed there with the quickness and was greatly impressed. Nice little set-up - a couple tables and counter space for eating; herbs and medicinals are to the side from main kitchen. Food options were great - I wanted to try everything. Ended up trying the power bowl and cauliflower wings. Wings were spicy! Bowl was scrumptious and filling - especially juicy tomatoes and some delightful herbs. They serve brunch all-day on Saturdays; will definitely return to try the cornmeal waffles! Michelle and Nicholas provided great service. Teas are available, but we didn't try those. Adding this establishment to the Baltimore vegan-restaurant rotation👍🏿

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing brunch at Hue Cafe in Owings Mills, Maryland, and I must say that the overall atmosphere and environment really left a positive impression on me. The moment I stepped inside, I immediately felt welcomed by the cozy and natural ambiance. It's a space that simply feels good to be in. Now, let's talk about the food. I decided to try the vegan chicken and waffles, and while it wasn't exactly what I expected, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever had either. The flavors didn't quite hit the mark for me, but I appreciate the effort in providing vegan options on the menu. On the other hand, the fried shrimp caught my attention and I must say that it was pretty good. In all honesty, my experience at Hue Cafe wasn't my absolute favorite, but it also wasn't the worst. I believe that taste is subjective, and what may not have satisfied my taste buds might be exactly what someone else is looking for. If you're a vegan, I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit, as they do offer a variety of vegan options. And if you're not vegan but curious about exploring new flavors, Hue Cafe is worth a try as well. Please take my review with a grain of salt, as everyone's taste preferences differ. What I can confidently share is that Hue Cafe provides a delightful environment, with an inspiring and amazing atmosphere. The quality of customer service was also commendable, adding to the overall positive experience. I always enjoy providing feedback on delicious food, and while my personal experience may not have been outstanding, I encourage others to explore Hue Cafe and form their own opinions.

I called in an order about 10 mins before arriving. Upon arriving it maybe took another 5 mins before receiving food. The food was AMAZING! I ordered lemon pepper wings, a shrimp po boy & a lavender drink. While the food was pricey at $45 it was worth it! My drink however took 20 mins to be given to me. I had to get up from eating twice to remind the cashier, he was unapologetic about the situation. I watched him ring up two more customers & leave from behind the counter before making my drink. When I received it I noticed my drink didn’t have flowers in it but the other race family that ordered right after me got two drinks with flowers it. Although not that serious I felt slighted considering this drink cost $6.75

I am far from a vegan but if I could eat food like this every day, I would definitely crossover. I ordered the shrimp tacos and mushrooms linguini. Both dishes were phonemal. I will definitely add the place to my rotation.

Every time I go I pick something new! All have been so great I can hardly decide what I want when I go. My favorite is the Hue Cafe Bowl with chocolate chip cookies on the side. Those damn cookies are out of this world. I also like the sweet potato pie minis. Will go back for sure! Hope the friendly staff and flavor never changes.
