A gorgeous drive up the mountains to admire the scenery. The fall leaves are bright with incredible color. Whenever you can pull off safely to a designated area, it’s worth it. We parked and wandered in a little to be closer to nature.

How beautiful! I suggest going around counter clockwise if you are afraid of heights. My family and I had a great time hiking the trails and can’t wait for the cave to be opened! This is a photographic dream! There are camp grounds that look amazing! A Spa, and places to camp and picnic! We will be staying here next year!

Beautiful drive but watch the road! In some places the road is very narrow and two young deer wandered into my path. The real challenge is to look at the views while managing the curves. Try to be the passenger! If you're just passing through the canyon you don't have to pay a fee as it's a state road. Don't waste your time sitting in line at the rangers booth, just go around. The road goes from American Fork to Provo Canyon (by Vivian Park) or you can detour to Cascade Springs and on to Midway. It's a hard choice to make. I'd base it on how much time you have.

A beautiful experience to enjoy. Seeing the backside of the mountains and the fresh air alone are breathtaking. The curvy roads can be dangerous and steep at times so drive carefully... Especially in the wintertime.

Took a very nice drive up 92 to see the maples turning color. Road is narrow, but traffic wasn’t too bad. Turnouts are limited and sometimes full. Found a few nice spots to walk a little way off the road for good views.

Amazing place when the fall leaves are changing! I recommend going during the week, we went on a weekend and it was PACKED. Some areas of the road get really narrow and you can barely get around some areas when there's a lot of traffic going in both directions. Make sure to only park in designated pull out areas, some parked where they shouldn't have and no one could get around them causing a standstill in both directions as one car went at a time.

Beautiful drive but watch out for the crazy cyclists. Cascade Springs is an interesting side route as is Timpanogos Cave. People say autumn is beautiful here but I loved the greenery of summer. We didn't see many wild animals but flowers and ferns were abundant. Be warned - there is no internet service. If you are trying to get from the loop to Midway or Heber your only help is government signs. There was very little drinking water. Take some with you.

Always a beautiful drive but especially this time of year. Fall colors on full display. Several spots to pull off the road to take in the views.

One of the best experiences during my visit to Utah. I would definitely recommend this drive to anyone visiting the area. I visited during October and the colors of the trees are beautiful during this time.

Beautiful fall colors. Abundant wildlife. I highly recommend the scenic byway through Cascade Springs into Midway. The multitude of tight curves combined with the hills makes for a spirited driving experience, but slow and steady is the only way to soak it all in.

This is a very beautiful drive when the fall colors are changing, but the road becomes so crowded that it is gridlocked, and the driving experience on the narrow road is pretty white-knuckled. We went on a Sunday afternoon thinking we'd avoid 90% of the Provo population, but that was not the case. The road was bumper to bumper along the entire way, and there were spots where traffic was a standstill. What compounded the issue is that the road is extremely narrow, and it takes some maneuvering to get around oncoming traffic - especially for F-350s and jacked up Jeeps. As the driver, I missed out on a good majority of the scenery since I was completely focused on not hitting oncoming traffic. There are a few pull-outs, but they are usually full.

I absolutely loved it. Me and my wife and sister and best friend went on a drive through alpine loop with his jeep. It was the best experience ever, Its extremely beautiful and it wasnt hot at all. The smell of Pine trees in the air and nothing but wilderness. I lovebit and will recommend it to everyone who asks about it.

The colors this year are incredible! We had an amazing time gazing at all the different vibrant leaves. The pictures really don't do it justice. Had a lovely day!

The drive is incredibly beautiful, but the road is extremely narrow and most of the pull outs are crowded with other cars. It made pulling over nearly impossible to allow other cars to pass. Several times I was almost hit head on by other vehicles or forced off the road. Please be cautious when driving and enjoying your time. Make sure to remember that you share the road!

Go see the fall colors before they're gone. Lots of slow traffic on the drive so be prepared to take your time.

A good portion of the aspen trees have lost their leaves along the loop but it’s still a gorgeous drive through the mountains.

Gorgeous views, loop gets extremely busy. Carpool if you can and bring snacks!
