We
visited
Friday
of
Labor
weekend.
We
arrived
around
8AM
and
biked
a
number
of
the
trails
and
most
of
the
way
down
Gordon's
Pond
trail.
We
parked
at
the
nature
center
and
took
the
loop
to
the
left
or
clockwise.
There
are
bathrooms
that
are
pretty
nice
to
the
left
at
the
playground
area
since
the
nature
center
doesn't
open
until
9AM.
The
nature
center
also
rents
out
bikes
for
free.
You
have
to
go
into
the
nature
center
to
fill
out
a
formal,
and
that's
it.
2
hrs
maximum.
We
also
stopped
by
and
visited
Fort
Miles.
There
is
a
small
exhibit
there
right
now,
but
they
have
plans
to
expand
it
for
sure,
which
sounds
like
it's
going
to
be
great.
The
large
gun
batteries
outside
are
also
very
cool
to
look
at,
and
the
scale
is
just
insane.
The
weird
note
is
that
the
bathrooms
here
include
showers!
I
didn't
try
them
but
was
very
surprised.
We
visited
the
nature
center
after
we
got
back
from
our
ride.
There
were
a
bunch
of
other
cyclists
out
there,
even
that
early
on
a
Friday
morning.
By
the
time
we
finished,
the
whole
parking
lot
was
full.
The
visit
center
has
a
number
of
aquariums
that
show
sealife
at
different
tidal
zones.
There
is
a
large
touch
tank
with
horseshoe
crabs
and
a
gift
shop
too.
There
is
also
a
theater
room
that
plays
a
short
video
on
a
loop
and
a
turtle
and
snake.
We
could've
easily
spent
the
whole
day
at
the
park
but
we
had
other
plans
in
the
afternoon
which
was
good
as
the
park
was
starting
to
get
really
full.
I
was
told
by
one
of
the
staff
at
the
Nature
Center
that
on
busy
days
they
do
have
to
close
the
park
at
the
gate
for
capacity.
