Rooms were nice, beds comfortable. Disappointed that they charge so much for breakfast. $10 for coffee and danish is a bit much when most hotels offer for free. Also make sure you bring snacks with you. There are no vending machines. They have a small room where you can buy snacks but the prices are ridiculous.

Nice hotel, but this evening a girl who works here was walking around outside with another girl and turned the fire pit on. I was sitting there on my phone less than 18 inches away. Any closer I would have had my hair on fire. Unacceptable. No apology. We're diamond members and always use the Hilton brand for business and leisure. Maybe not anymore.

Hotel was accommodating and nice! We need adjoining rooms for our family of 4 and the hotel staff booked it for us on the phone. The pool and hot tub were clean, bright, well maintained and large! The casino was fun and had a nice variety with free drinks.

Happened to be at the casino until closing time and was able to get a room at the last minute for a decent price. Very nice room and was able to get a wake up call, enjoy breakfast, and get back to the casino at opening time, so it was a win win situation all around!

Very clean room. Front desk staff was great! The hotel is connected to Q Casino, so you can gamble, see a show, have a few drinks, and walk back to your room without going outside.

We chose this hotel as a Hilton Honors diamond member while visiting the area for viewing the fall colors because we like Hilton Garden Inns and they promoted their on-site restaurant (Houlihan’s) as one of their amenities, which is a favorite we don’t get to go to much due to none being around our area. The hotel is connected to a casino and I read about the odor of smoke in the first floor common area so I chose a room on the second floor, furthest from the casino side. Upon arrival and walking in the lobby there was very strong stale smoke odor that made me question staying there but once we got in the room my concern went away since I wasn’t planning on much time in their lobby or commons area. The room was very clean smelling, spotless and comfortable. With our membership in Hilton we were to get two $10 food and beverage credits for our one night stay so we assumed we could use them at Houlihan’s, as our preference was to use the credits there and not on breakfast. The clerk brought the credits up as a perk reminder during our check-in so I asked if we could use them at their restaurant (Houlihan’s) and she said she wasn’t sure. We did dine there and learned they weren’t allowing hotel guests to bill their room, which was disappointing and meant you couldn’t use the credit there nor earn Hilton points from the restaurant expenditure. Houlihan’s was a decent experience, the breakfast ($10 for cereal and other cold items, $12.95 for hot items like eggs/potatoes/bacon) wasn’t bad as we wanted to use our credits instead of losing them but breakfast is in the common area and as a non-smoker it probably bugged me more than it might others. It felt like they need a better ventilation system to pull the smoke away and/or have glass doors in the corridor to hold the smoke back. I didn’t go to the casino so I can’t say for sure what’s in place. The location of the hotel is good, very close to downtown, other nearby sites for viewing the river valley if you enjoy nature and so much more to do around there. It’s also a short drive to Galena if you want to do shopping and such, very easy to get around. I would have given an all 5 rating if it was for the smell and the inability to charge your Houlihan’s meal to your room.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 evening on our way home from a wedding. We both were really happy with the location and overall experience. I was very intrigued with the keyless entry, check-in and check-out and it worked perfectly. The room was nice and clean and I appreciated the blackout curtain and also having a continental breakfast for $ made it easy way to start my day. My only issue I had was the door that hid the refrigerator opened on the wrong side and was a bit annoying. We had dinner next door at Houlihan's and enjoyed a bit of time in the casino which was fun as well. Would like to return and take in some of the sites in Dubuque as I had no idea there was so much to do in the area.

As other have noted, the cleanliness of the rooms is far below the Hilton standards. There was used gum under in the nightstand when we walked in. Crumbs on the floor like it hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile and the hvac unit had dirt/mold caked on the vents. While I was there I had another reservation charged to my account. I called to find out what happened, they said it shouldn’t have happened to my account, it was for someone else and hung up on me?!?!? Odd to say the least. 1 star for the location as it’s in a great spot & 1 star for the pool/hot tub (as long as you don’t look at all the hair/gunk on the floor drains)

Sam Jasper at the front desk was awesome. Very helpful and pleasant to work with. Someone you talk to like you knew her for a long time. Great employee!

I want to say Sam Jasper was an awesome front desk person. She was very courteous on the phone and helped us out checking in and when another person said our rooms won't be ready for an hour because they are being cleaned Sam looked for us and said 1 of our rooms were ready. A very nice person. Also the rooms were comfortable and the pool and hottub was relaxing.

Breakfast was excellent. Special acknowledgment to the waiter and the cook on 9/20 and 9/21. The service was excellent and the omelet was excellent. The cook came out and asked me how the omelet was and filled my coffee. In all my travels, that’s a first. Good work fellas! Give those two a raise!

Needs updates. Furniture is old outdated and worn. Appears dirty. Only 1 person was working the front desk and was back and forth between customers. No personalized attention. You will pay for breakfast here. No free continental breakfast.

Nice hotel, typical of a Hilton Garden. Suite was a good size, with a couch, desk/seating, two bathrooms in two separate rooms. Bathrooms are okay. Only critique is the shower...really looked old and scuffed up. Tile floors in the bathroom could use a steam clean, the grout really shows it's age. Very pleasant staff. Good parking. Next to the casino.

The hotel is great. However, the attached restaurant (Houlihan's) is terrible. After being seated we sat for almost 15 minutes and was never approached by a server. We decided that the was more than enough time and left. The restaurant was not the busy. Our experience probably is why there were few customers.

Clean rooms, breakfast buffet included in room rate, nice staff. Was unhappy with amount put on hold on card, over $150 more than room charge. Will see how quickly it's cleared from my account. This should be made more clear at booking time!

Great location to casino and there's some nice trails right behind the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable but just a bit dated. Front desk staff when I checked in was a bit rude. Large parking lot Front and back. Overall would stay here again.

Booked room 115 several months ago for 10/26. Upon arrival, we were informed that our reservation was over-ridden for the entire week. We purposely booked room 115 since my wife has difficulty walking any distance. Another reason we book room 115 is for the whirlpool which could not be enjoyed. We were given keys for room 315 which was not handicapped accessible. We then were given room 131 but it was down the hall. We were told that their staff tried calling us that morning; our phone never rang and when we returned home we checked our caller ID; no call from the Hilton. My wife was in severe pain the entire time. It was our wedding anniversary and it was ruined by the "huge mistake" by the Hilton Garden Inn. We were not charged for our stay and were given 2 breakfast coupons. . We always looked forward to staying here but NEVER AGAIN. We have told all our friends and relatives about the mistake.

The rooms were nice sized, beds were very comfortable, and decor was very up-to-date. It was nice to see dispensers in the bathroom instead of the small bottles of shampoo, lotions. Breakfast is available but for an additional cost. There's a Houlihan's attached to the hotel but to our disappointment, it's closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Overall a very nice hotel and a nice connection to the casino. But it’s quite sad on the pillow and blanket requests there they can’t accommodate. Additionally the bathroom by checkin was absolutely disgusting when we got here. At $200+ a night, I would expect much more here.

One of the best Hilton’s I’ve stayed at in a while..Overall room was pretty clean for a hotel with enough towels, comfy bed and pillows and updated decor was a plus that isn’t always the case with Hilton’s. -Hotel desk staff: some engaged and greeted, some did not care. -A restaurant and casino attached at both ends of the hotel, really useful to go walk and eat and be entertained without leaving the hotel. -Convenient places to drive and eat within 5-10 minutes of the hotel -beautiful walking trail and scenery behind the hotel -easy to change reservations with last minute project hiccups - will be staying here again soon!

We came to visit the Casino, the city and surrounding area for a short vacation. Rooms were clean. Beds were very comfortable and the towels were like new. Although I did not use it, there was a fitness center. The adjoining Casino was connected by a short covered walkway. Parking was very close, which was great for us because we wanted to visit other places in the area. We felt like the accommodations were and excellent value.

Clean hotel, nice bed, but the hotel staff.. I was a little frustrated when I went to my room and messed with my digital key that didn't work and walked down to get another and rushed to the pool and my key didn't work. A guy was in there though. I asked the front desk about it and it was before 10 and the lady wouldn't let me go in. I just wanted 10 minutes in the hot tub.

Seamless check-in process with friendly and courteous staff. Nice facility. Clean, contemporary first floor room with a very high ceiling. Kind of dark and grim no matter how many lights we turned on. Stayed over on a Tuesday night limiting food and drink availability onsite to the adjacent casino which was awful. Wished that the Houlihan's restaurant was open but not until Wednesday. Good for gamblers and business people. Breakfast not included with room rate. Available for additional fee.

My friend and husband stayed recently. They are frequent visitors. They found out after their stay that they were charged $200 for smoking in their room. They absolutely did not but management said the maid smelled smoke. They do smoke and their clothes smell as such. But again, these are upstanding people and now have been unfairly accused. I go there too and I have never smoked, so what if they accused me. I will not be staying there ever again.

The second night the room was filled with mosquito spray from outside and giving me and my wife a headache and making us cough. When I called down to the lobby they said it was maintenance and nothing she could do about it. So we had to leave the hotel. It wasn’t until we we’re leaving did she offer to switch our room. By that time I had already booked a different room. Also call and left a massage for the manager and she still hasn’t returned my call. We were vary disappointed.

Comfortable, clean, well appointed room. A very nice and well maintained property. The desk staff were not engaging or outgoing at all; one was more interested in haunching over her phone than in greeting customers as they came in or passed by. I was told there was no solution for my broken coffee maker except for me to have coffee in the lobby. For this I paid about $200 for a night? The breakfast was very good and a decent value. The star of he stay was the young lady who oversaw service in the dining room that Sunday morning. Engaging, helpful, friendly, and energetic. I'd be proud for her to be on my team.

Everything was great until house keeping repeatability pounding on the door at 10:47 A.M. with the do not disturb sign hanging on the door. Just to be sure I checked and check out time is noon. Second time this has happened and never book there again

The staff is rude and takes your drinks away with no warning. Josh connely, Matt, Kathy, and Nate. They took our drinks with no warning. They were very rude and talking smack. They have been reported with videos and screenshots. Do not stay at this hotel as the staff is unfriendly and thinks they’re tuff

Nice hotel where their online photos don't do them justice. Their rooms are more updated than the pics would suggest and there grounds were impeccable. The few issues we had was we stayed here because of the location and rhe attached bar and restaurant. Only to discover that the attached restaurant/bar was closed and the prepaid made to order breakfasr was now just an en expensive continental one. Considering the issues, I wish they would of taken something off of our bill, however they did not. Had they told us during booking the issues they werw having with short staffing and such, we would of stayed somewhere else.

Staff were welcoming and pleasant, the check in process was quick and easy, however they asked for a card for incidentals.....charged my card $50 prior to my husband and I entering our room.....this was just for incidentals so I'm confused! Upon walking into our room it was clear that the maid service is quite poor! The floor was not vacuumed nor mopped, dust covering all furniture and a huge green booger hanging from the toilet paper holder!!! Poor quality for Hilton 🤦🏽‍♀️
