Wonderful South Jersey gem! Diverse and accepting crowd, Mike Trout jersey on the wall. Impressive, robust tap list but also liquor drinks and importantly a quality kitchen. In house corned beef sandwich is exceptional and worth the try for lunch or dinner. Detected that the bar serves a lot of couples of all ages a weekly food & drink, which ya gotta love. Will definitely be returning when I’m driving through.

Wow!! I chose to try this restaurant for dinner and I don't know if I can't accurately describe just how delicious our food was! I had to go Irish for obvious reasons, so I selected the Shepherd's Pie and the flavor was off the charts! The gravy was rich and thick, the mashed potatoes were creamy and the beef tender. You can tell it's homemade. My guest had the fish and chips and the fish was flaky and lightly battered. We both started with the Scottish Wedding Soup which was so good, I had to have a second cup! The meatballs were so soft and tasty and the broth had so many layers of flavor! There's a nice, relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Highly, highly recommended!!

I went here one day with a friend for lunch. The only thing I can say about this place is the ridiculous prices of food and the beer. My friend had a Guinness at $7 a pint and I had a black and tan at $9 a pint which is absolutely price gouging. The lunch specials were $18 each and it was just okay. The bartender was nice and said does anybody want a shot , I said as long as you're buying making me think that she was going to buy us a shot so we got three green tea shots .It wasn't until I got the bill that I saw that she actually charged me $24 for the three shots. She did this to a couple other patrons too so I'm sure she drank for free on them as well. There is no way these beers should be any more than $5 a pint especially at lunch time but I got scammed but never again. At the end of the day I spent $165 before tip and I could have went to a really nice restaurant and had better food and drinks for that price. Now I see why their specials and beer menu have no prices so make sure you ask before you order. Let's face it this place has nothing special to offer it's just a dive bar in downtown millville. Oh don't forget about the credit card fee that they tacked on at the end of it what a joke.

We had a great visit, our bartender made us their famous "get what you get, and like it" shot. We have no idea what it was, but it was good. A great time overall.

Went here today for a lunch date. The food, service, and atmosphere were very good. However, my check was VERY disappointing. Lunch for two of us was $72.00. We each had two beers and two entrees. Expensive for lunch; but, overall pretty good. The first PROBLEM is that they changed me $6.00 for 6 dinner rolls. Not only have I NEVER been charged for rolls, they didn’t tell me upon ordering. Secondly, they charged me $2 for using my debit card. Again, no advance notice. The shame is that I LOVE Irish ☘️ pubs and would have frequented this place. Given the aforementioned, I’ll spend my hard earned money at a place that better respects its customers and doesn’t nickel and dime them.

Great place to have lunch and catch up. The seats are hard wood though, so not great for longer stays.

Staff is amazing and the food is top quality. Can't beat the beer selection either. This place is a must stop if you're in town. Get the Reuben!

What a disappointment! When we entered, we were told they were under staffed and we couldn't have a table and had to sit at the bar. This was not a problem. Our bar tender/waitress was wonderful and very pleasant. However, we didn't mind the long wait for our food, but it came out lukewarm/cold. The worst part... I bit into the last onion ring and there was a hair in it. We couldn't finish our food and called all of this to the attention of our wait staff. The cost of our food was taken off our bill. People were actually told they could not be served due to lack of staff. What a shame! This was our first time... I hesitate to go back.

Really cool place! Incredible food, generous serving sizes, great prices! They have a great selection of beers on tap along side your general domestic cans and bottles. The bar staff was pleasant and attentive. At first I was the only person there but business picked up during their lunch. I highly recommend the Fish and Chips!

Loud obnoxious drunk people on a Sunday afternoon. Got a cheeseburger and the patty was so salty I couldn't get past two bites. Oh, and a child sitting at the bar while the bartender was doing shots with the customers.

Friday night Bartender was pleasant and spot on with a nice crowd and nice vibe. Had dinner earlier and it was really good. Went to Levoy show and returned to bar late-night. Great Bartender and fun patrons.

I ended up here accidentally and I’m glad I did. From the time I walked in, I felt like I was at an actual Irish pub. The bartender Phil was amazing. His demeanor and attitude was so impressive and so outgoing. I typically would never order a steak from a bar, but I gave in and got one. The ribeye special tonight was out of this world. Just a little salt and pepper and seared. It was so nice being a first time customer and actually feel welcomed in an establishment.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the Ruben Balls were amazing. However the Cream of Crab Soup seemed verrrry watered down and flavorless. The server appeared to be torn in several directions even though there was hardly anyone in the place(3:30-4pm).She was extremely friendly, but not very attentive. This was my second and sadly last visit!

When you first walk in, you get a feeling like you should be in a Irish Pub over in Ireland. The place has a lot for you to look at. Between the many beers on tap and the food that appears to have a lot of Irish in it, lol... the place seems interesting. I've seen many business people in there as well as families. The staff seems nice and the prices to me are slightly costly, but its an experience. They have a beer garden and I heard they have a band or someone actually playing music there once in a while. Take a shot and try this establishment out for a once in a lifetime opportunity to walk off the streets and back into time where everything you see appears as if time forgot it.

I would really like to have given this Pub a better score but I had a bad experience there. Attended a show at the Levoy Theater directly across the street. We arrived at the Old Oar at 5 pm for an 8 pm show. Everything started out fine as we were seated in the beer garden immediately and the waitress took our drink order. The menu is pretty good and there is a large selection of beers and some specialty drinks. We got our drinks and an appetizer of wings all which were good. The place however was fairly busy because of the show. I will say it was busy but I have seen places operating under busier situations. They had two servers for the entire place doing the seating, serving food and bartending. We waited until 7:30 and still had not received our food. There were several tables around us who had been there before us . They got some of their food at around 7:15 pm but not all of it. They apparently only had one kid in the kitchen was also the story going around though we were never told exactly what was going on. The server was sending people who came in after us to another place or just sending them away. We asked about our food and the server did not seem to have any idea what our order even was much less have it. Our order consisted of a hamburger and a pulled pork sandwich. They couldn't get us that in almost 3 hours. Like I said I would have liked to give this place a thumbs up but it was a total disaster they must have known they would be busy considering they are about the only place open on the street and directly across from the theater. I would hope someday I have a chance to actually try their food but beware of their service.

Food was okay, over salted and greasy but whatever, it's a pub. Drinks were good, menu was huge with several guest ale options, and the price was on the sweeter side of decent. But the service was dreadful. On a Sunday night with more than half the tables empty and only about half a dozen at the bar, it took forty minutes to get a drink order in, twenty minutes to get them, and following that another forty five minutes before soups came out and thirty minutes later the main courses arrived. At the table, there were two orders of fish and chips, one mac and cheese bowl, an order of chicken tenders, and a salad, none of which are THAT complicated. Ridiculous holdup for what was essentially mediocre-even-for-a-bar food. Not to mention the biggest faux pas of the night was the bartender turning off the Phillies NLCS victory celebration to put on an out-of-market football game on every one of the televisions in the joint. The entire bar was furious, some even left so the manager ought to have a chat with her about how much money she let walk out the door that night, and our table personally vowed never to come back unless we had two hours to kill for one round of drinks.

What a great spot. I went there from out of town on a rainy Tuesday night at 9:30pm, and I had one of the best shepherds pie and fun, friendly, and genuine service from Sandy through the rest of the night. So glad I got to check the place out after reading the reviews before me. Great food, cool vibe, and chill employees. And I don't usually leave reviews. Go here!

I can honestly say I never leave a review on any business if I had a bad experience I would just not go back. I stopped into this place with my wife and the waitress for the benches Debbie she was awesome the guy at the bartender Phil he is cool as hell will definitely be back thank you Debbie and Phil for making a good memory

Popped in for an early pub dinner before an event nearby. Service was poor...maybe because we weren't regulars. Drinks never arrived until i asked for them and it was the wrong beer and no water as ordered. One burger came out under cooked but we were never checked on until we had to flag down our server for the check so it wasn't even an option to send it back as the other guest had finished. Maybe it was a one time fluke but certainly not the best or even a good experience.

👍👍 About as stereotypical of a New Jersey diner as you can get. Fast service, diner food. Massive plate of chicken fingers and fries (with a couple onion rings for good measure). Open-face Reuben sandwich (yes, ask for the coleslaw and pickle) - could have done better with more meat but overall tasty C...
