I went here to get my wedding band. My engagement ring is a size 5 and they knew this. They gave me a size 7 wedding band and they suggested I get this size due to swelling of the fingers in the summer. At the time, the ring felt fine because I had it on for a few seconds and thought it felt fine. When I wore it again on my wedding, it kept sliding all over the place. I went in to talk to them with my husband and they told me I should have got a size 6 if I eventually want to bind my engagement ring (said I would have to size it up) due to less room once they’re binded together. They told me they don’t know why I was talked into a size 7. They didn’t offer me any discounts or anything for messing up my sizing. So after reading reviews on here for the bad experiences people have had of this place resizing rings, no thank you. I’ll take my wedding band somewhere else. The lady who initially did my wedding band had red hair and please make sure they don’t oversize your ring if you come here. Better yet, they took glass cleaner and sprayed it on my hand when trying different sizes for my wedding band — I don’t need chemicals sprayed over my hand to remove a ring size that was too small. Very unprofessional.

I have visited this Jared location three times now, and each time has been a wonderful experience. The first time I went, I had the honor of meeting Addy, who, truth be told, would not be out of place showing mind-shatteringly expensive jewelry in a store located in the capital city of a major world superpower. Addy got me set up with three chains and the coolest watch I have ever seen. I am thrilled at my purchases, and the experience was made even better when she frankly and clearly explained the pros and cons of buying a lifetime protection plan for each of the four pieces, two of which I purchased and two which I did not. Afterwards she and her two colleagues Cynthia and Melissa had a lovely chat with me, in which they entertained my possibly-impossible delusions that I will one day be a rich and famous entrepreneur, which I will. Trust me. My second visit was with Cynthia. She eventually got me set up with the perfect set of bling. I chose eight custom-made continuum sterling silver metal rings, each mounted with a different color quarter-inch round-cut gemstone. She also helped me pick out a beautiful golden wedding band and secure it with a lifetime protection plan. Finally, she showed me another awesome watch in the clearance display which was beautiful to look at, but unfortunately did not work right then. So she applied a heavy discount to the watch for me, and then on top of that, without me having to even ask, she decided that the watch was unsuitable for sale. She then ordered an ENTIRELY NEW watch of the exact same type and tasked it for delivery to her store for me to pick up with my custom-made rings. On my third visit to the store to discuss some features of my buying experience with Jared Cedar Rapids thus far, the store manager herself took time out of her day to sit with me and another sales associate and listen to my feedback. Sue, the manager on shift, took every word I said seriously. It was refreshing to interact with a good boss who cares not only about her people, but also the quality of the service and goods at her place of business. I wish every boss I'd had over my career had been as friendly, open-minded, and serious as Sue was on my third visit. The cherry on top was her informing me that my broken watch had been replaced with a new one free of charge! Color me shocked. Consider me loyal.

I’m so happy that Elia and Claudia are be able to help me out with my problem. I ordered my ring from a different store, and from a different state, by phone. And I lost both my paper and email receipt. Claudia was so patient, spent 45 minutes on to figure it out to find my order # so she can fix my broken ring with no cost. Thanks for taking good care of me.

Came in looking for watches today. Staff was very friendly and helpful even though I didn't end up purchasing anything today. I will definately come back here when I have made up my mind on which watch to get.

They went above and beyond to help us the earring was repaired while we waited and they insisted we get my wedding ring set cleaned. Absolutely incredible experience. Melissa and Sue were so helpful in getting my diamond bracelet ordered. Both are so knowledgeable, no high pressure. They want ensure a positive experience and that you love your purchase. I was later shopping for a mounting and loose diamond. Melissa once again helped me with this purchase. The in house jeweler working that day was so accommodating, she set the stone, sized the ring the same day! Great team at Jared in Cedar Rapids!

Paid for them to repair my necklace, after leaving I noticed one of the links had a sharp snag to it. Unfortunately I chose to keep it on so when I drove by I could return it and it fell apart again the day after repairs and is lost for good. The necklace should have never passed inspection or been handed to a customer In its state.

Went to Jared’s and bought a ring. They did not disappoint!!! Very friendly staff lifetime diamond coverage for free covering chips cracks and lost diamonds and free polishing every 6 months! Definitely happy.

We purchased a ring online that was too big. We went to Jared's to have it sized and soddered. She quoted $219 to simply size them and $399 to simply sodder them! I googled the average price for soddering wedding bands and came up with $45. We will never be doing business with this company.

The wife and I initially went in to get custom rings designed. They surcharge my card a little over $7,000 for the both after we found out that they weren't able to exactly make what I wanted in my custom design I decided I did not want to do a custom design if I can't have the ring that I want so Claudia the assistant refunded our money for my ring back onto the card this was on the 19th of November we were charged on the 15th of November so the bill that came to us on December was showing a balance of $7,000 total the refund wasn't shown until later after we spoke with Claudia who said that our minimum payment would come down because we would be refunded close to $5,000 6,000 back. Long story short my minimum payment is showing $400 because they don't know how to adjust the minimum payment. Thanks a lot to Claudia, and to comenity Bank. I will let everyone know whoever I can to not purchase anything from Jared's because of their association with a fraudulent banking company. When you call the carl center let's just say it's the worst thing imaginable and God forbid if you get Denzel on the phone. Looks like I'm stuck paying $400 minimum payment for $1,000 to 1500 ring. Just save up and pay for the ring.

This was a disappointing visit. We are big fans of Jared and have purchased many things from a number of their stores across the country but this trip was not the norm. I stopped in to buy a ring for my wife's birthday. I already knew what I wanted and just needed to purchase it and have the ring sized. The person who helped me seemed to be scattered and unsure how to complete this simple transaction. A couple times I needed to repeat simple requests. Since this was a gift, I asked that no communication be sent to my wife's email (a request done frequently in the past), but of course later that day my wife asked me about the email she received. Oh well "Happy early Birthday!".

Claudia and Elia were wonderful from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Both were so helpful with options and ideas to help me visualize my special piece. I now have a keepsake to enjoy for years and generations to come.
