We got there right as they opened and the owner was very nice and welcoming. When our food came out she explained what everything was and was super nice and passionate about it. Not to mention that it was all delicious. I got the sampler platter which was good, but I kind of wish I would have gotten a normal entree with a side since all of the appetizers consisted of fried dough. All of my friends enjoyed their meals as well, and we got a lot of food for the price. I'll definitely be back!

I'm always eager to find new cuisine to try. We got a couple of different dishes to share so we could have several things. I would recommend looking at the menu and pictures ahead of time so you don't have an awkward pause at the counter like we almost did. Very friendly staff and the food was great.

This place is my new favorite restaurant in Madison. Seriously, you MUST go here if you want the most delicious food in town. The arepas are AMAZING. If you want some appetizers, the empanadas are delightful. The people who work here are so friendly. This authentic restaurant is the best!

The best restaurant meal I've had in a LONG time. The flavor combinations were astounding. Owner/manager was very personable and gracious. I will drive an hour to eat here anytime. Prices are great for quantity & quality of food.

When I saw that this restaurant had opened a new location with better parking near east town mall, I knew it wouldn’t take me long to get there. I have already enjoyed takeout and GrubHub from their location on E. Washington Ave. It’s so nice to be in a large restaurant with a cozy environment to enjoy their food without having to fight for a parking spot. I stopped in today for lunch. I realize that this is now in the old Pizzeria Uno building. What a great location with lots of outdoor seating as well. I ordered my usual, the empanada and arepa sandwich meal. Imagine a big fried hot pocket but with expertly seasoned and simple meat fillings. I also had their beautiful avocado and Palm heart salad served with passionfruit dressing. I am not aware of any other restaurant in Madison serving such a salad. It’s worth it just to eat a salad here. Perhaps one of the best add-ons that they offer in this location though is their amazing passionfruit daiquiri. They are $8.99 each but worth every single penny. I have never heard of any restaurant in Madison serving a passionfruit daiquiri. They do not skimp on the food or the booze in this place. I know this restaurant is owned by a brother and sister from Venezuela. You can feel the heart and soul that goes into their business and into their food. I would encourage anyone who is seeking out comfort food and fantastic cocktails in a very casual environment to check out this place. The prices are also exceptional at lunchtime. Two thumbs up La Taguera!

Decent Latin restaurant. Young but friendly staff. It seems like the majority of the items are deep fried so I was I bit overloaded (gutbomb). The guasacaca sauce was great! The areas are delicious, though too much cheese to meat/ bean ratio. Lastly... it is a bit pricey for take out food

GET THE SUGAR CANE LEMONADE!!! It might be the best lemonade I've ever had in my life. Absolutely loved all of the food. Staff was super friendly and kind. It's a chill little place where you order at the counter and seat yourself. I ordered so much food because everything sounded so good and completely stuffed myself. Looking forward to my next visit for sure.

Ordered the Cubano sandwich online. It was ready to pickup and still hot when I got there! Some of the best seasoned pork to go along with the ham, cheese and other ingredients make this a delicious choice! My friend and I decided to dine in and ordered the Nutella & Caramel Bites for dessert. Don't pass on this! Great food!

The service here is fantastic. You get a lot for your money. They have gluten free options. Not sure if the fryer is dedicated so use caution. The food is amazing. Highly recommend you try it out.

This restaurant scored a solid 5 stars from me. The food is more unique than other ethnic food in the area. Plantains come with almost everything! So delicious. I also recommend their custom drinks. They were tasty and strong! I also noticed a mocktail menu available for those that want the flavor without the booze. The service was phenomenal and attentive to our drinks and the food came out quickly! I was surprised this place is typically empty. Please visit this restaurant! You won't be disappointed.

I’ve been to La Taguara several times and they never disappoint. The food is amazing. The prices are fair and the portions of food are big! I would recommend La Bandejita Paisa and El Churrasco. All of their food is amazing. And the owner is such a kind man! I love supporting local businesses. Please go visit la Taguara!!

This is absolutely bonkers good. I was so full but did not want to have leftovers because they wouldn't compare to the food when fresh. Excellent prep, they do the food justice. Seem like some cool peeps in the back. Wasn't too busy either.
