I often have passed by this restaurant wanting to eat here but never having the time to. I finally made time to eat here and it was well worth it. I had the lamb Asana with rice and salad. it was delicious & very filling. The host was very gracious and kind she gave me a complimentary Turkish Tea to try. I asked & they also make Turkish coffee here so I will have to come back for that reason alone. You can sometimes hear Turkish language speaking customers here and though I can't understand it. It provided for a more authentic cultural experience that is uniquely Turkish. When sitting facing the window you can see passersby on Hempstead Turnpike on the sidewalk if you like people watching. Thanks for lunch it was great!

We’ve been ordering from Turkuaz for years! Ufuk, the owner is amazing chef and person! He is always happy to see us. It’s a small little place in West Hempstead that has great selection of tasty, delicious food.

This place is such a gem at this neighborhood. Definitely the best kebab and best falafel I've ever had in my existence. Plus, their crew Merva (cashier and waitress) is the greatest ever. Kept coming back to this place and I highly recommend it to everyone. Go help yourself and try the best turkish cuisine ever! p.s. turkish tea at the end was amazing

I’ve been dying to try this place. It was so good. I ordered the Chicken Kebab which came with chunks of chicken and seasoned chicken breast on skewers and grilled. It was served with rice and salad. The dressing for the salad was great. The service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Such a wonderful find! Clean, friendly and delicious! Eat in, take out and Mediterranean Items for purchase! Had the Chicken Gyro that is the special on Tuesday. The salad had a light lemon added to it.

When I took my new Turkish bride away from Queens, I asked my friend Esra for suggestions of the best Turkish restaurants around that would make my wife less home sick. Esra suggested Turkuaz. Ever since my wife and I have been regulars. The owner and chef is an awfully nice gentleman who prepares food thw my wife says reminds her of home. There are just 4 or 5 tables because the establishment also serves as a mini Turkish market. This is where my wife finds her native beverages, candy, olives, etc. English is spoken and the lovely young lady behind the counter is always very helpful if you have questions. Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.

Authentic Turkish food, that’s tastes great and priced fairly. It’s got a mom and pop deli feel. There is seating inside and in front of the store. When you eat inside you get some Turkish home bread as a starter. Lamb doner, fire. Lentil soup, fire. Home bread, fire.

It was a really nice experience overall. Food was authentic, and all the dishes that we ordered didn't disappoint. Ordered lentil coup (came with side of bread), Lahmacun, and mixed platter. Recommend this place.

This place is legit! Freshly made to order Turkish grill! The grilled chicken kebab was tender with a charred grilled taste! Not reheated frozen chicken that you get at fast food chains! The lamb Adana was two skews perfectly grilled with rice and salad. The falafel sandwich was great with the tahini sauce. They have a little Turkish market too!!. Home made , fresh and independently owned. A great hidden gem! Support your local businesses! Nice friendly staff! Update ! Another great meal ! Turkish kings feast ! Always fresh ! The bread is freshly baked ! Amazing ! The person taking your order is so sweet and She is always friendly! When you see the Owner cooking the food you know it is made with love and care. Rice pudding custard ! Omg !!delicious ! I love it because it’s not too sweet ! Great place !

Ordered food online for pick up. Had to wait for only a few minutes. Cashier said to call her next time. She said Grub Hub charges more than restaurant. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious.

Best falafel I've had around here. I can't wait to try the rest. Best time I grill at my house I'll stop by and get prepared meats by them for skewers.

I always order adana iskender all the time- sometimes more than I need! Amazing! The service is impeccable- owners and employees are just so humble and kind. They cater if I want to customize an order and always go above and beyond- truly the best Turkish food! Thank you for your service! Everyone should come here and try the delicious foods- you will definitely be back!

I am 100% turkish so i know for a fact what authentic turkish cuisine is supposed to be. This place is 100% authentic. They make the doner(gyro) in house fresh everyday and it is made from real meat, not ground beef. Most places who sell gyros do not make them fresh everyday on a spinning skewer, they have frozen ground beef that they just heat up and give to people. I recommend this place

I’ve tried this spot a few times, always on the spot. Food quality is superb, taste is authentic, no shortcuts even the bread made fresh for the order. Th one classic Mediterranean dish Stuffed green peppers done to perfection.

Stumbled across this gem by accident. Tried the Chicken Adana sandwich and absolutely loved it. The chicken was juicy, tender and spiced perfectly. Would definitely come back next time in the neighborhood and try their bbq. I would also recommend buying the Turkish delight that were really fresh and soft.
