Great pub! Awesome vibe especially during soccer games. Great selection of food stuffs and brew stuff. The fish sandwich was delicious. Great creamy Cole slaw. The wings and fried Mac and cheese are good as well. Awesome service to boot!

The absolute best fish I have ever eaten in my life! The is a large pub with multiple rooms within the pub, upstairs has pull tables. Decently priced food. Liquor price is a little high but good quality beer and drinks. The staff was great!

What a fun restaurant! The drinks were great (especially the G&T), and the fish and chip were definitely in the top 5 that we have ever had. We were in Minneapolis for several days and stopped in here twice- it was that good. By dumb luck, when we were there, some sort of lawn bowling tournament was going on, so sitting on the patio, drinking a great drink and having wonderful food made for a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. It's a must do if you find yourself in downtown Minn. MN.

Brit's Pub is absolutely fantastic. In town for Bears/Vikings, but finding a soccer pub of this quality was a total surprise . They have most EPL matched on in separate rooms. The place is huge, but still feels authentically British and homey. The food was great, the drinks were icy cold, and the service was top notch! I'd come back to Minneapolis just to watch another Man City game here!

Wow. Do yourself a favor and get the Cornish pasty. It is so so good. Sticky toffee pudding and Mars bar cheesecake were also delicious. The vibe is wonderful. Such a neat restaurant!

Not the first time I've been to Brit's. This time I met up with a friend I haven't seen in over 35 years and we walked over from her hotel last Sunday night. Wasn't as crowded as my first visit, so we got to enjoy the space a little more and stayed until close. Good service, good food, good drinks and good vibes. Will absolutely visit again!

The shepherd's pie was a generous portion and pretty good if not a tad bit salty. The side salad that came with it was nice and perfectly dressed, which I always appreciate. The chips (fries) were deliciously crisp and perfect with the malt vinegar. We sat on the rooftop so the menu was a little limited. Would have loved to see more vegetarian options besides an impossible burger but they may have been available inside. Sticky toffee bread pudding was good but the sticky toffee part didn't come through much. Atmosphere outside was lively and fun with people on the lawn playing bocce ball on a cool summer night. Price was a bit on the higher side but at least you're not leaving hungry.

Awesome place with gorgeous rooms/bars upstairs! We went during the Chelsea match and the soccer culture at this bar is amazing! It was like being transported to the UK. The food was excellent and their beer selection is a great blend of local and English. I went here several times during our week stay in MLPS. The lawn is stunning in the sun! You can grab a drink and sit on the lawn while watching a large protection of the match. So fun!

Great atmosphere! If you like football (soccer) ⚽️ especially English Premier League, this is the place! They show most of the games live! They also have lawn bowling with leagues! There is outdoor seating around the pitch! The food is fantastic! Highly recommend! My only complaint is the state of the women's restroom... it wasn't terribly clean, it could be better!

If you're looking for a British Pub to watch football (soccer), drink Guinness, and eat shepherd's pie, then look no further! This bar is awesome and HUGE! You can get lost in here! My wife & I had a great lunch here and watched a soccer match, but I can only imagine how wild it must get for a primetime event!

Great drinks, great people, amazing food. Old pub vibes with a British theme that works so well. All the food blew me away. Brought family from out of town and they can't wait to come back!

Awesome food and the upstairs patio felt like it wasn't even part of the cities! It was so quiet and had lots of plants that are pollinator friendly plus the big bowling lawn. Didn't spend much time inside but loved the overall feel of the place! Definitely will go back again!

Service was good (they’re not British staff though 😂) as a Brit I can honestly say the food was great. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. We sat outside on the Terrace our waiter was fast and responsive! I recommend getting the scotch egg!

Wow!! Asked at the hotel where to eat and they recommended "The Brit". Alexis was my server and she was awesome! Had the Fish and Chips with a side order of gravy and the local Pilsner. Ordered the Scotch Eggs to go for the road tomorrow. Everything was spot on. Lively atmosphere. Place was packed. Would definitely come back if I am back in town. Thanks for a great meal. Well done Alexis!

Patio is everything - love the lawn bowling and huge screen to watch soccer. Great beers from England - really makes me want to get back to traveling! Also, appreciate how they have adapted with COVID - felt safe and comfortable being there.

This is the best English bar in town. This is the best soccer bar in town. This is the best beer selection and fish and chips in town. This is the best patio in town. Also if you are a Chelsea FC supporter there is an official supporters group based out of this pub and they have a room for the official Liverpool supporters as well. Not to mention they will show almost any available game for those interested in other matches or other leagues.

Nice ambience. Good service. Not very diverse crowd. Food per my British born hub is at par but not there. I can say my shepherd’s pie is one of the best he ate and other real British critics I had as guest… so the lamb is really gamey. Lawn bowling was ongoing and it is refreshing to see something different from Boston. In general great experience.

I came for my roommate's birthday dinner and we ordered a total of 8 dishes. Everything we ordered was AMAZING!!!!! We got the Grilled Peach Salad, the Lettuce Wraps, the CHEESY TATER TOTS WITH FILET, the Shrimp Sliders, the Short Ribs, the Korean BBQ ribs, the Oxtail and a side of Cheeto Corn and there wasn't a single dish I wouldn't order three times again! Epic flavor, solid portions and very reasonable prices imo. Loved the Drunken In Love cocktail as well. 10/10 would recommend!

When I had been out in Minneapolis for some conferences back in 2012, I was warmly greeted by some fellow Liverpool supporters and invited to join them at Brit's for matches. I was unable to do so in 2012, but that invitation was one of the bigger things that brought me to relocate to Minneapolis in 2020, and to finally have a chance to visit Brit's. It's an absolutely beautiful space nestled into downtown Minneapolis. I was glad to be able to watch some of a Champions League match there, and am really looking forward to Liverpool starting up matches again and to be able to watch them there. Thank you to the gentlemen who invited me in 2012, and thank you to those there in 2020. YNWA.

Fun pub! Drinks were good. The food aye! I had a hamburger it was like a frozen patty warmed up. Had spinach artichoke dip and it was weird. Grill cheese is good, can't mess that up! The second floor bar was cool. Creative Memories Advisors showed up to have a good time!

Nice atmosphere. It transports you to London for sure. The place is pretty big too. You go upstairs and there are some billiards which was a surprise. The chicken chili was delicious. The fish in the fish & chips were tasty but the fries could had been a bit hotter.

A nice place from home. Service. Service was nice nothing special did wait a little but it was getting busy. Somewhat friendly. Food. The food was portioned very well. Tasted great and fresh. Quite a few choices and quite a few UK beer on tap! Prices overall are high but we are in a city. Environment. A nice place full of character and decorations. The parking is street and paid parking lots as you might expect in a big city. Very vibrant interior with many places to sit in and out. Overall nice place to stop, especially if your from across the pond. #Britishapproved.

This review ain’t for locals. It’s for those of us on travel who: - are hungry - just found out almost everything downtown closes early. - just want some good food and a nice atmosphere. Congrats! You’ve found it! Due to lack of options (hotel dinner? NO.) And it being “feels like -10” there are only so many places I want to adventure to. And food delivery services are such a ripoff. SO, I’ve eaten something different at Brit’s Pub on this trip every time. It’s all been SO GOOD. Poutine, fish and chips, chicken tenders, corned beef, chicken tandoori sandwich, burgers - they’ve all been surprisingly great! And the service and service staff has been equally awesome. Food always hot, staff always attentive.

One of the best places to eat, have fun and watch games. Lawn bowling and bootleggers in summer on the roof! Transmission once a year every February is a must. And you must order the Muddy Paws Cheesecake! Mars Bar! My favorite dish here is the pot pie but everything I've ever ordered is just delicious and perfect! Classic pub ambiance. Highly recommend!!

This place is really cool. The lawn bowling is a really unique experience that is something you must try when you're there. Unfortunately our food service was not great. Half of our group got their food withing 15 minutes. The other half that ordered burgers got their food almost an hour and a half later. The waiter said they were being impatient... otherwise it was a great experience.

I came here over a decade ago and have been wanting to come back and share the experience with someone special so I am here once again, this time with my husband. We asked for the upper level and were reluctantly obliged. Apparently, the server got 4 tables all at once. Being a server myself, I did my best to empathize. I was hoping for a view of the lower level but that isn't feasible without standing. Alas, we got a decent seat but we could barely hear the music, it was a bit loud for as few of the guests were up there with us, and there was a loud party going on somewhere in the house that made it interesting during their roars of victory for whatever spring event they were watching. The server didn't pay us much attention and I felt he could've done better, even considering the number of tables. The food was amazing and there is a pool table available! For those facts alone I'll be back.

I had the fish and chips, unfortunately, it didn't have much flavor. There just wasn't any seasoning, even as simple as salt and pepper. My friends definitely enjoyed their meals of Shepherds Pie as well as the cheesecake they all shared. Someone in our party also ordered the Poutine, but felt the cheese curds could have been put on sooner to have melted into the fries, but did enjoy the dish which also had pieces of pork belly.

Ordered the 'Regal' size sampler; all items cooked to perfection (wow, the fish!!) with a great little selection of sauces. The fried cheese is totally unique- salty, creamy, chewy, crunchy cubes. You'll love them. Hubs got the bangers and mash- yummy dark beef gravy and carmelized onions. Shared the chocolate cheesecake for dessert.. next time we'll each get our own! Didn't expect the food to hit such high marks, but wow. And our service was prompt and friendly!! Seriously though, the chocolate cheesecake was a 10.... Didn't see that coming. We'll be back!

April 2023 5* Very interesting place in Minneapolis. If you are cricket fan than this is the place to go. The decor of this place is amazing and very old. You will find different rooms are designed differently and have good theme. I attended the corporate get together and it was cricket room with so many old pics, painting and material. Furniture is very nice maintained as it looks great. Food is really good at this place. There were both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were available. The place is not very accessible or wheelchair friendly. So you may need some special help.

Loved the food but the place was totally forgetting a big part of the commonwealth. Not a thing in the place representing Scotland. A Scotch egg was on the menu and I'm certain scotch whisky was there but nothing else. Great staff and food but wish Scotland wasn't ignored.

  • 2/5 Louie R. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful restaurant and even better patios. Had the service been better they would have garnered more stars. Our server, a handsome woman with short hair didn't really seem interested in working. She spent most of her time talking to other staff and huddled up to the bar. We ordered our drinks and appetizer and she never returned. She walked by many times and was close the whole time but didn't offer service. Eventually we had to ask her if we could place our dinner order, get drinks refills and another beer. I mean she was literally in the vicinity of our table the entire time but couldn't be bothered. Maybe it was just the bad service that made the food taste blah. The fish and chips were flavorless. I'll never understand why people don't season the fish before they bread it. The spinach dip was good. Not the best but it was big. I had the Brits Dip. The sandwich was good but the au jus was so so so so salty it was inedible. I would have asked for another but the server never came by. We again had to waive her down and ask for the check. Being the people we are and understanding the financial difficulties the pandemic has caused, we still left a 25% tip. Undeserving and definitely not worked for.

This is my first review of any place ever, as I am in the food and beverage industry I always take everything with a grain of salt. I came in town from South Carolina, and fell absolutely in love with this place. Everything was fantastic from the staff and drinks to the food If you ever find yourself in downtown Minneapolis do yourself a favor and stop by.

  • 4/5 Colin W. 4 years ago on Google
Service was excellent and there were a lot of British themed things here including a bowling green. The food was good, but did not seem to be quite right for what I was expecting. I got the scotch eggs appetizer and the sausage meat seemed too dense almost more brat-like than banger. For the main dish I got fish and chips with a side of curry sauce. The fish itself was practically perfect, but the batter was not like the batter you would normally get at a chippy or pub. The chips were really tasty, but were much more French fries than chips. They had a crunchy coating and were thinner than chips. The curry sauce was also tasty, but not quite smooth enough. Overall, I would recommend the food as a restaurant, just not as a representation of authentic British food.

I woke up this morning to the news that Brits had been burned down. Let's just say for the past 8 years I have eaten and entertained many of my friends and family in this establishment. To be honest I can't even fathom why some individuals would even consider burning down Brits. But this much I do know is that I 'm looking very much forward to when you open once again! I love Brits and hope this tragic time will pass from memory in the near future.

This restaurant is amazing. it has hands down the best French fries I've ever had. I had fish and chips. they were amazing. perfectly crispy and seasoned. my girlfriend and I got the 2 piece and it came with a basket of fries that was more than enough for us. the place is a little pricey but all around worth it. the atmosphere is beautiful with a UK feel all around. the water came without ice so if you want it, be sure to ask. I also got a 16 year scotch for $18. it was fantastic and smooth. if you like whiskey, this is the place for you. they had a front and back page of whiskey. everything from scotch to Irish to even Japanese whiskey we got scotch eggs. I personally liked everything about them except the price. $12 for 2 eggs cut in half. the food is well worth it. the bar was full of people watching a game and every goal was met with loud cheering. it really felt like I were in the UK the whole time. well worth a visit.

Ok so customer service was probably only 3 stars. The food was delicious though, fries were crispy and well seasoned (which is surprisingly rare). The brits burger was interesting, balanced in flavor and cooked correctly (again surprising how often “medium” is medium rare or well done). The interior of the place is nice, lots of dark wood but it is well lit. The rooftop patio is extremely cool and the wildflowers are fun! They have lawn bowling leagues and if I lived here I would definitely join one! The lawn area is huge. I ate alone and didn’t bowl but I enjoyed people watching. You are hemmed in by buildings so there isn’t an incredible view but from the right spot you can see a bit. It looks like they project movies sometimes, and I think they do yoga there as well. Worth a visit

Great rooftop dining in the middle of the city with tons of tables and wonderful wait staff. Felt like Cork, Ireland with tasty fish and chips and Harp and Guinness beer! You can watch sports on the Giant screen and after you eat try lawn bowling surrounded by a border of beautiful flowers.

Good ‘ol English pub which also serves as a venue to watch colonial British games I.e. Football (NOT SOCCER!) Rugby, Cricket etc.

Although we visited a while ago, this place was fun and delicious. Good food and a roof deck made for a fun end to summer visit.

I went to Brit's Pub long ago and it was nice. I read that they suffered damaged from vandals in Aug 2020. Im sorry that happened, you were innocent. I hope the best for this and all down town businesses affected.
