Stayed for a convention that was held at the same location and have been for several years. Always a pleasure to stay there. I wish they had a hot tub in the pool area but it's not worth taking points away just for that. Everything else is great. Very attentive and kind staff, nice clean rooms and easy access to the convention stuff.

The hotel was beautiful and the city view at night astonishing. The breakfast buffet is great, nothing special or unusual, but good food and a nice atmosphere, bright with lots of windows, and perfect and friendly service. The pool is warm, great for old bones like mine. I enjoyed my stay and the staff tried to make it as comfortable as possible.

Dining review - breakfast was great! I didn't stay at Hyatt, I stayed across the street but would come to Hyatt for a great breakfast buffet. I enjoyed the upscale feel of the dining area and the food presentation. There were a lot of great options to choose from and a little extra with delicious smoothies and juice shots. One minus - I didn't get to experience any service at all, no one came to check on me or take away dirty plates. This is always a disappointing moment. And the hostess confused me a bit - she acted like I was supposed to know what to do, when to order and when to pay. Perhaps, she could have started with - "Have you dined with us before? In this case, your order now and pay now"... I had never experienced such a setup, and her expecting me what to know really confused me. But I enjoyed the food quality and presentation, so lack of service in this scenario didn't ruin my experience.

Moms be aware!! The hotel is beautiful. Staff not too nice. I called ahead and requested early checking because I have my 6month old son with me. When I got there they said room isn’t available so we sat in the lobby. Tresa is Nice and friendly lady. She tried to be as helpful as she could. I needed a pump room since my room isn’t available and they took me to their “nursing room”. It’s a bathroom with a chair sitting right in front of dirty toilet and NO table so i had to put my stuff on the ground. Watching the toilet, I couldn’t bring myself to give the milk I pumped in this restroom to my son so I ended up dumping it. Bed was fine. Not the most comfortable but okay. NO intercontinental breakfast. Not free. Many places have at least something spread out as part of your stay. .

I took in the Hyatt for a business convention and experienced my second time there. Beds were fantastic. Rooms clean, shower wonderful. BUT the toilet was annoying as all hell, when it took 3-5 flushes to simply get the TP down, that was annoying. That's why I am striking one star. And the parking was expensive at the hotel. But the check in, staff, all top notch and helpful.

Stayed here for Convergence. Very pleasant faux fancy hotel. Our room was quiet and well appointed. Wish the microwave was in the room, not down the hall. The elevators were unable to keep up with the convention traffic. The staff was nice and we were able to get carts for check in and check out with some effort. Parking wasn’t cheap bit also wasn’t too complicated.

The entire room was covered in dust. Every surface we touched our hands came away with dust. The sheets and blankets were not very clean. The bathroom didn't have any kind of fan/vent system so the room was humid and the windows constantly covered with moisture which diminished the beautiful view of downtown Minneapolis. While the lobby and hallways of the hotel were nice and kept up, the room was a massive disappointment considering the price of the stay. I have stayed in many hotels that were half or less than half the price that were much cleaner. On a positive note the staff were all very friendly.

I helped organize a 400-person conference held at the Hyatt Regency. This hotel was a fantastic place to host a conference. The meeting room spaces and adjacent foyers and hallways were large and provided ample gathering space. The staff provided wonderful service during our events and throughout the week, very kind and hardworking folks who made our week great. The catering was also outstanding and got excellent reviews from our attendees. The hotel rooms were large and well equipped. Beds were comfortable, important for a week-long stay! The gym area was also noted as a great facility by several of our attendees.

The rooms were spacious and clean, hotel was quiet and cozy, staff was nice & helpful! I guess the only negative thing I have to say is we had just gotten married and asked if there was any special upgrades (champagne, decorations, desserts, etc) for the room but there wasn’t. They did offer us a scenic view though which we got!

Having had the privilege of working as an AV Tech and attending numerous conventions at this venue, I can wholeheartedly vouch for its outstanding qualities. The staff consistently exudes exceptional kindness and a genuine commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction. The bar impresses with a decent range of delectable food and drink options, promising a delightful dining experience. Even on the busiest convention days, navigating through the venue is a breeze, with no hindrances while traversing from one side to another. The well-maintained elevators and escalators further contribute to the seamless flow of movement. The venue itself offers ample choices for dining and leisurely strolls, adding to its allure. Remarkably, the cleanliness of the location is commendable, and even as someone who has worked in the back rooms, I never felt that there was a need for improvement in terms of cleanliness standards. Now, I must confess my bias, but the events held here truly shine. The microphone systems are of excellent quality, and as one of the AV techs, I can confidently state that the team possesses exceptional expertise and excels in serving clients. However, it's important to note that occasional disagreements between the AV techs and the hotel staff can arise

The lobby, bar/restaurant, cafe, and fitness center are really nice in this hotel & it’s in a great location but it kind of stops there. The layout of the whole pool area is strange. The rooms are subpar. Housekeeping, unfortunately, always takes the hit as I know they have limited time to clean so many rooms. You’d think the cleanest space in a hotel should be the rooms. Ours was dusty with weird gunk on the phone, a mysterious white substance on the carpet & the most recent trend for hotel beds: no fitted sheet (although, there was a mattress protector). I suppose that’s just another corner to cut to keep the cleaning time per room low. We had a city view which was nice aside from the window being pretty dirty. Overall, the room lacked cleanliness but we were really only there to sleep. The staff were nice during our one interaction & the location was good for the needs of the trip.

Three stars because valet attendants and some of the staff were nice. But at best this isn’t over a 3 star, might be a 2.5 star. The halls to the rooms are dark and gaudy. The rooms are very dated with furniture, rugs and bedding. I compare it to military furniture in barracks just old and not very appeasing. Every Hyatt I have been to had very nice rooms. Also we asked for towels and didn’t get face towels. We asked twice and nothing. This hotel is overpriced but gets away with it due to location and conference uses. We were here for a conference and I would recommend other choice hotels. The food in restaurant wasn’t that great either.

Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The hotel offers stunning views of the city skyline, which is a treat for the eyes. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. One of the best things about this hotel is its proximity to the convention center. It is just a short walk away, making it an ideal choice for business travelers attending conferences or events. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the convention center, which is a nice touch. The staff at Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. They go out of their way to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. The hotel also has a fitness center, a pool, and a restaurant that serves delicious food. Overall, Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is a great choice for anyone visiting Minneapolis. With its stunning views, convenient location, and excellent amenities, it is sure to make your stay in the city a memorable one.

Went to a convention here and although the convention itself was just alright, the hotel seemed very accommodating for the convention. There were many rooms and open areas to hang out on the multiple floors of the convention. There was an under construction escalator which made things pretty difficult to move around between floors. -1 star for that Please add a matcha latte of some sort to your Starbucks cafe! Would have definitely ordered something if that existed.

Best Hyatt Team in the whole wide world of Hyatt. Stayed there once during a convention, it was amazing. The staff are friendly, and the food is good. The room was clean and we had a problem with the shower and they had an engineer up to fix it in less than a half hour.

The pic tells you everything you need to know about this place. A money trap plain and simple. But also added another for all those fans of the view ... not terrible not great. Sound is also an issue definitely a bring earplugs place. Rooms are adequate and well equipped just don't expect a free coffee or cookie in the lobby.

Clean rooms. Very quiet. Beds were comfortable. I was here for a conference. The meeting rooms were fine. The food was better as expected. The servers were quick to clear the tables. The location was close to everything downtown. Target in walking distance for any needed essentials.

A beautiful hotel, wonderful lobby, great service. Absolutely no option to get any food past 9 PM. We reserved a room at this hotel to go to a Vikings football game. When we returned, we had hoped for a drink and a snack. We were delighted to see the bar was still open, but there was no kitchen service. No worry, we thought, But come to find out there is no convenient or vending service. Aside from a soda machine on every floor. Just looking for a little sustenance, seems like a real OPI Additionally, the only water available, aside from tapwater is the $3.50warm water bottle available in your room. It just seems like the customer experience is lost in all the pageantry

Hotel staff super kind and assisted with a few issues we ran into after a super late check-in. 10 stars for that alone! Area is a little far from things to do in town, but most of our time was spent in the conference halls, and we were able to get to the heart of things through the skyways/sky bridges. I don't think this Hyatt has had all of the same renovations and refreshes other Hyatt Regency properties I've stayed at have had. I wish they had the pump bottle for shampoo/conditioner renovation like the HR in Atlanta, but it was nice enough!

The housekeeping was awesome and our room was very neat and organized every night. Also the pool was very warm and it felt like a bathtub. Next to the pool was a fitness center which was clean, spacious and it held a lot of workout opportunities. The lobby was also very big and beautiful. It was cozy too. The only downside was the long, cold walk to our room from the elevators. And, as a plus, because the hotel overbooked for our room type we got upgraded to an executive suite.

The room was always hot. There was no ventilation system so smells lingered and there was always condensation on the windows which was sad because the view was nice. The bed sheets had stains, were hard, and uncomfortable. The starbucks in the hotel had good food but always forgot about drinks.

The rooms were nice, but the exercise floor was the best! Full basketball court, three separate weight rooms, yoga studio, and more. Plus a full pool and sauna. The central lobby was inviting and warm with the fireplace and the bar area was clean and spaced perfectly for different sizes of groups.

Think twice before hosting technology events here if you anticipate your attendees wanting to sit down between sessions. Most hotels hosting conferences have seating everywhere. This hotel, not so much. It was difficult to find anywhere to sit, much less work for a few minutes.

Only visited for a convention. Did not stay at hotel. For the convention we visited the hotel was very accommodating in size, amenities, and atmosphere. I was a little disappointed in the restroom facilities as they were not great for wheelchair users. Very few, small accessible stalls.

A wonderful place to stay downtown. There was no room service available and our room did not have a microwave which was only a slight inconvenience. Otherwise, very kind and professional staff, easy parking and our room was clean. We enjoyed a beautiful view of Minneapolis from our 23rd floor room. The main lobby has a wonderful fireplace and relaxed seating. Food can be found from one of the two restaurants on site which I considered to de decent.

The staff here has been great. The rooms and building look newly renovated. We stayed in a suite which had alot of space and a comfortable bed. the only downside was the sound deadening was sub-par..you can hear your neighbors talking at normal volumes from your room...so i was woken up a few times. ( maybe my neighbor was just a loud talker ? )

The room size and bathroom were good but needed a refresh. There was a brown stain on the shower curtain, the shower head was small and blasted you with water like a fire hose, the furniture showed significant wear, the bed was old and lacked traditional bedding like a bed skirt or sheets, and the room was musty and hard to keep a consistent temp. The food was absolutely awful. I had one of the worst meals of my life at the Prairie Kitchen for breakfast. The fruit and avocado were clearly past their prime and every table was dirty. I was attending a conference and the food served to participants was similar. Flavorless and many of the vegetables were wilted and soft. Housekeeping walked in on us while inside because she had headphones in and could not hear us asking her to return later. The one time we did have housekeeping service our room they did not replenish the glasses in the room nor empty the trash bins. In short, the service was lacking and the rooms were tired resulting in an overpriced stay. The lobby was well appointed.

This is such an amazing hotel! Our room was beautiful and had killer views of downtown Mpls. I just wish we wouldn't of been treated like we were idiots when we asked the lady at the front desk to validate our parking ticket, as we were told to do. Other than that, our stay here was amazing and we will definitely be back!

I stay here for Anime Detour every year since they began hosting it. Rooms are always clean and staff is always friendly. Not only do I like being on site for the convention, I also just really enjoy this building. The layout now gives me feelings of nostalgia that took a bit to obtain as our crowd got used to the new location. Love that so many restaurants and shopping are in walking distance!

Rooms were nice. The suites need to update their couches, there different rooms we were in and those blue couches aren't comfortable. Though if you want above 65 in summer you don't have control of your heater. "Engineering" had to bring me a space heater to keep my room warmer then 72° I had never been to a hotel were you needed a room key to get the elevator to work. That was a nice feature to know only hotel guest were getting on room levels. There is no 13th floor. Note if you're there for a convention, give yourself time for elevators. It's in an ok part of town, we saw lots of police presence around hotel on streets. Close to many things for eating. Hotel has a bar but you have to wait in line to get service and it was really slow.. We had a Creative Memories conference there and the meeting space was good along with luncheons provide by hotel. Lots of choices. We had in total 2 large meeting spaces, 3 conference rooms, large meeting space for our expose, one ballroom for reception party. Come join the Creative Memories team with me and Jon us at next convention!

I am here for an event so pricing is based on my own experience. For the price and local, this is perfect. As I am here for an event in the hotel, the staff have been amazing, the rooms all are functioning and clean, no issues. If you are going to an event in the Hyatt or close by like the convention center, this is the place to stay if price allows.

  • 3/5 Dan A. 1 year ago on Google
Had to attend a business event here. Getting to the hotel in rush hour is difficult. Once there the event space was your typical hotel banquet room. The staff was very competent and did great in serving the meal. The food was also good for banquet fare. Drinks are over priced and they hit you for $25 to park for two plus hours, which is ridiculous.

  • 4/5 Ray D. 2 years ago on Google
Overall good experience. The Marketplace is a nice on site coffee, light food, and convenience store. Hotel rooms are appropriate for this class property. Beds and linens were very comfortable. We had 2 connected rooms that were reasonably quiet with the connecting doors closed. In room coffee maker with assortment of K-cups and teas. Hyatt would do well to either a) Not have water bottles with small signs that say FREE *for Elite members only; or b) make them FREE for everyone paying $180 per night for a room; or c) don't leave them in the room.
